Asks Are Open!
Tumblr media
Kingdom of Wishes may be over, but I still got PLENTY of stories to tell, so give me your asks about the rewrite!
I don’t know if this allowed on Tumblr etiquette, but I have some ask suggestions, things that you may haven’t thought about asking or thought “oh she probably doesn’t have an answer for that” BUT I DO, I have an answer for anything, and I’m dying to tell y’all everything!
So here’s some suggestions:
- What’ll be Asha and Aster’s future?
- Who was that skeleton the group found in the dungeon?
- What did Dario go through living in Rosas? (When they were sharing their bad experiences in the campfire he was the only one who didn’t feel comfortable sharing anything, that’s not because I didn’t think of something, I just thought his story was way too sad)
- Whats Aster’s reaction to human things like food and smells now that he’s human?
- Where did Bravo come from?
- Is there any idea in the plot that you scrapped last minute? (Y’all might get mad at me for this one lol)
- How would King Florian react to everything his brother has done?
- Is there any symbolism you wanna talk about? (This one is pretty much an invitation for me to just gush over stuff)
And that’s a little list of asks ideas, but feel free to make your own too!

WIP Wednesday
... actually on a Wednesday! And I have stuff to share! Thank you for the tag @effelants 💖
First, from Only A Dream Of Summer, my Maric x OC fic that I'm actively working on. It's a lot of fun to write
Time passed in a haze as the castle waited on Cailan’s recovery, suspended in glorious midsummer, with the first of the season’s swifts darting for insects outside the sickroom window and the hum of bees a constant presence among the rambling roses. Inside, however, the weather was an unwelcome intrusion. The blaze of Solace sunshine left the air thick and humid, baking to the point where a constant supply of ice had to be brought up from the cold room to be applied to the prince’s wrists. Though he still tired easily, he chafed against his confinement, and what little time Maric had to spare from the regular missives of kingdom business his advisors sent him was spent trying to keep him entertained. In some ways, it felt like the first opportunity he had had to be a proper father. Without the bevvy of tutors, retainers, and servants required for a royal upbringing, the simplicity of the joy he found in the hours spent by his son’s side reminded him of his own mother’s indulgence, trying to compensate for the constant danger that had hung over their heads. Life now was a dream compared to the old days of the rebellion; he had worked hard to make it so, scrubbing Orlesian influence from the land and coaxing its people back into prosperity, all in the hope that the kingdom Cailan would one day inherit might never know worse suffering than the bite of a hard winter – and that the day of that inheritance would still be a long way off. Movement in the room roused him from his unexpected slumber into a shadowed twilight scented with jasmine. His shoulders popped as he stretched in his chair and cast a bleary eye about for the source of the disturbance. “I did not mean to wake you, Your Majesty,” Gwawr said. “And I didn’t mean to doze off…” In his hands, a letter crinkled – a response from Loghain, entreating him once again to turn away Florian’s envoy as if the word of a king did not count as final if he was badgered about it enough. “Something troubles you?” the healer asked, as she went through her usual motions to check Cailan’s wellbeing.
Second, from As The World Falls Down, my Prince Alistair AU. I'm still working on it, but since it's going to be so much longer than Summer, it's on a backburner for now, and I've left them on the road:
“Lothering,” Alistair huffed when they finally paused for breath on a bluff overlooking the village. Thin banners of smoke rose from the hunched cluster of buildings in the settlement proper, and from the damp campfires dotted between the mass of grubby tents that spilled out over the southern boundary like flotsam from a shipwreck. “Pretty as a painting.” He shot a sidelong grin to Rosslyn on his left. “I almost didn’t think we’d make it.” “It’s a real sight, isn’t it?” The new, reedy voice came from just off the road, from a small campsite set far enough back into the bushes that any travellers heading north would miss it on the way past. The thin, gaunt man it belonged to stepped out onto the path in front of them. Four others emerged after him, in front and behind to block their path, all in similar states of beggary with weapons drawn. Rosslyn’s own hand reached for her sword at the same moment Alistair stepped closer to guard her flank, the shiver of airalong her spine telling her that Morrigan, too, readied for an attack. She hoped it would not come. Though her shoulder had knitted together far faster than should be expected even with the aid of magical healing, the dull twinges that flared with every movement warned of the permanent damage that could be done if she got in a fight before the muscles fully recovered.   “Let us pass,” she commanded from beneath her hood. At her side, Cuno growled his own threat, the sound a low vibration against her leg.
Tagging forward, if you're so inclined: @ellenembee @asaara-writes @serenpedac @ooachilliaoo @thelionheartedo3 @cleverblackcat

MASTER OF TIDES
A run down of the questline of Malinah Stormcrown, as if she were a companion.
In Act One, the player can learn more about Malinah's history as a pirate. She'll tell campfire stories on Long Rests where there are no other events lined up - one about overthrowing the original captain as a young sailor, another about taking a Zhent slaver's head, and escaping a hurricane. The level of truth in these tales is variable, but she tells them well.
In the Zhentarim hideout, bringing Malinah along will reveal that she wasn't lying about the Zhent slaver's head, and they recognize the Captain. The player will need to de-escalate this situation.
If the player intends on romancing Malinah, they can ask to spend the night with her. This triggers a cutscene where the player will accidentally walk in on her bathing in a pond, humming a song to herself. She will tease the player, but if they ask about the song she was singing, she will admit to the player that it was one she wrote for her late fiance, Tendaji. If the player wants to continue a romance with her after learning she was once engaged, they will need to select the option about going at whatever pace Malinah needs. She will kiss the player's forehead.
In Act Two, one of the Harpers that the party can meet is Nadia Shrajur, the previous Captain of the Hangman's Heart.
If the player has heard Mal's story about overthrowing the captain, they can ask Nadia about it. Nadia will laugh - the event in question happened nearly a century ago, and the mutiny was lead by Nadia herself, not Malinah.
If Malinah is with the party when Nadia is spoken to, the two are happy to catch up, but the player notices that sadness weighs heavy on them both. Mal will, in private, tell a player with high enough approval that Nadia was the sister of her late fiance ( allowing a non-romanced player to learn about her past. )
After speaking to her the first time, the player can speak to Nadia again with Malinah out of earshot, and ask her about Tendaji. Nadia will tell them to "Ask Malinah what she did to the last person she fell in love with." This is where she can be forced to reveal that she killed Tendaji after he asked for a mercy killing to spare him from being a vampire.
In Act Three, Malinah wants the party to swing by the docks so she can visit The Hangman's Heart. Upon arriving, she will be barred from entry by a Flaming Fist and a Steel Watcher, who say that the ship never paid its dock dues. Mal knows that's incorrect, and demands they let her see her crew. One crew member, Claudia, will emerge, and deliver the news: First and Second mates Florian and Ysebeau have been missing for days now. With a knowing smile, the Flaming Fist will tell her to go to the Mariner's office in the Counting House.
Once the player goes there, the precarious situation becomes patently clear. Malinah's two siblings are being held by Banites as collateral against the party. There are multiple ways to go through this quest:
The party can free Florian and Ysebeau by force - this is the path of least resistance, and the one Malinah wants. This, inadvertently, costs her both her ship and her siblings' lives. If the party does this, without the proper evidence that Malinah's dues are paid and up to date, they will get her Death and Taxes ending. Malinah's heartbroken, and her ship is gone; she will break up with the player in this ending.
However, if the party can get Malinah to calm down and think rationally, she will suggest a new course of action: Her tax papers are hidden in a vault, hidden in a secluded cove beneath Wyrm's Crossing. At this hidden vault, the player can find Malinah's old engagement ring, alongside the tax papers. She doesn't want to take it, as it reminds her too much of Tendaji. Convincing her to take the ring is smart (it is a Legendary ring, after all) and is critical to her healing.
Once the tax papers are in hand, the party can return to the Mariner's office, and walk in on Ysebeau in a verbal encounter with one of the Banites. The Banite sees the opportunity to break the party's spirit - they will threaten to kill Ysebeau if Malinah doesn't destroy the proof that she's paid her dues. The player is offered two options: take the risk that Ysebeau can protect herself long enough for them to take out the Banites, or give in to their demands.
If Malinah refused to take the ring with her, Malinah can't find the strength to take the risk, and will hand over the tax papers. This gives her the Just the Taxes ending - similar to Death and Taxes, but Malinah is more at peace with losing her ship. She will not break up with the player in this ending.
However, if Mal has the ring, she will charge forward and attack the Banite head on, and with the proof in hand, destroying all of Gortash's placed men will earn her the And a Bottle of Rum ending. It will unlock her ship as a camp for the Player, and Captain Stormcrown celebrates that evening. She's at peace, her siblings are safe, and her ship isn't under threat by Flaming Fist.
In the two endings where she will remain with the Player, a romanced Malinah takes them to the Captain's Quarters on her ship (or to a room in the Elfsong.) It's here she'll admit that she's glad they helped her stop and think, allowing her to realize exactly what her priorities were; the ship is just as much home to her as Baldur's Gate is to someone else, and she couldn't lose her siblings - or the player. She will pin them to the wall, and admit ( for the first time ) that she loves the player.
EPILOGUE: In Death and Taxes, Malinah has spent the past six months in the city, missing her ship and missing her siblings more. It's clear she's drinking to get through most of her days. In Just the Taxes, Malinah, Florian, and Ysebeau all come to the party, and talk about adjusting to life on the land. She's happy, and if the player is romancing her, she'll tease them about helping her get her land legs. In And a Bottle of Rum, it's much the same, but they will all talk about their adventures on the sea, with a shanty to round out the night. If the player is romancing her, she'll tease them about helping them get rid of their land legs.

What is something you've always wanted but never told anyone?
For..as many as you want! Bwahaa I like all of yours.
And, pandora’s box is opened! Thank you so much for the ask!!!!! And thank you!!!!!
Aki:
“Oh, this is embarrassing… If you tell anyone, I’ll never forgive you! But… I wanna go sledding. Or just kid things, you know? But sledding the most. I didn’t get to do the things my sisters did, and they looked like they had so much fun… I know I’m too old to want to do kid things, but I wanna do it.”
Leonidas writes:
I want a home. I want to have a place where I can always call mine, somewhere secluded… With a huge bed, large enough to fit me and my partners. I want enough space for the kids to have guest rooms so they can visit and stay with us for a while. I want something like the Bookman’s Shelves. Urianger had such a cute little home, and I think he misses it. I want to give him that again. I fear my partners will think that I don’t want to adventure with them. I do! I just… Also want a permanent spot we can come home to when we are finished.
Cevi:
“Oh, you’re just looking to get an old woman to spill her secrets! Well… I suppose there’s no harm in telling you… I want to go on another adventure with the group. I fear I’d love it too much, though. As my memories return, I remember more and more why we gave it up… It makes me worry for my daughter. Aki is so much like we were… But, regardless, I want to feel the rush of combat, just once more.”
Lucien:
“I want to visit my old boyfriend’s mother… It’s been many, many years. I can only hope she’s forgotten my face. Back then, she didn’t know he was my boyfriend… She thought I was dating his sister still. But she welcomed me like family. I want her warm hug, just once more. But I am undeserving. Her children are dead because of me, leaving her completely alone.”
Florian:
“I want to remember everything. I tell Constianne that I’m okay with not knowing, but I KNOW she’s hiding the hard parts of our childhood from me… She’s easy to read. I know she’s trying to protect me, but I’m not a child anymore! But… It makes her feel better. I overheard her speaking with Cevi, saying how she’s happy she can protect her little brother, and I appreciate the sentiment, but… She needs comfort, too. I just want to remember it all so I can take that weight off her shoulders.”
Constianne:
“I will be real with you… I want to have a quiet day with the family. I want us all to sit by a campfire and lean on each other’s shoulders and hold hands and hum softly, simply enjoying each others company. I don’t know how to make this happen… They’ll think it’s a joke. But I want it, badly.”
Cecelia:
“I’ve always wanted to feel like a princess. I want to wear an obnoxiously large dress and tiara and dance around my ballroom gracefully… Just for a night. I grew up dirt poor, and that’s always been a dream of mine.”
Amil:
“I want to be normal. I want to live my life with no relation to the void. I want to understand the people around me, I want to have silly thoughts like they do. I want to be silly, like humans are. Of all the mortal traits I didn’t get, it was cruel I didn’t get that one.”

After reaching Very Good approval, Malinah will tell the player about her daughter, Dagny, in a camp conversation. Asking for more information reveals that Dagny usually stays in Baldur's Gate with Malinah's brother, Florian. She clearly loves her daughter and brother, and speaks of them with a warm fondness.

Tumblr media
"Quit squabbling- it won’t help matters.” How direly all had turned, how obscenely woeful. A regulation patrol into the highlands had ended in large losses, those of whom had survived the viciousness of the heretic attack now carried heavy wounds and the heavier knowledge that the Camp was too far away to make it easily. Into the unmapped cave system did they step, pacing within just enough to get out of the bitterly chilling winds and the growing thickness of snow. ‘T would be a long night of pain and chill but they’d no other choice but to wait until the snow had eased.
“Those of you who can, search the caves for aught we may burn-” Florian was no leader, he was naught beyond a Knight - but he had the uncanny ability to  keep a steady mind even in situations that poised as hopeless and it was that in which drove him onward to calm the panicked chatter and instead drive nervous energy towards something useful.
While a few scout ahead and find discarded  crates to break up and form a campfire with, the knight himself takes a moment to lean against the cold stone of the cave and try to will away the pain he felt. He was nigh certain his left arm had been broken when using it to shield himself from a rather heavy blunt attack, and it was all too easy to see the blood in which dripped from broken chainmail; but he was not the worst among them and he feared, as he gazed towards those lay upon the ground, that a great many of the dire few that remained would not see the coming dawn.
Tumblr media
“Keep close together if you are able- the more body heat we conserve, the better chance we have.” Slim though it was-
Attentions turned to an unfamiliar face, however; a moment taken to observe ere he turned enough to give his full attention;
“Are you harmed-?” He’s curious, eyes briefly turning towards their healer attempting to do what he could though the injured far outnumbered he; “We’ve some few bandages and such if you are in need, for the time being.”

Hi Furo! I was curious about your ocs. I don't know any of them yet, but are any of them good cooks?
Also thanks for your ask earlier and hope you're doing good 💫
Hiya! You are welcome, and I am doing fine!
So for my Ocs there are two groups I guess. There are the ones I made for the game Twisted Wonderland and the ones for my book Eternal Entities.
From my Twisted Ocs, most of them cannot cook/never learned 😅. Florian Meadows, a flowery skunk beastkin based off of Flower from Disney's Bambi, is the most likely to cook out of all of them, but it would have to be very simple dishes. Otherwise, you risk eating burnt food. Another is Mortimer Padriac, who is based off of Professor Ratigan from Disney's The Great Mouse Detective. He can cook, and very well at that, he just hates the hassle of it all. So unless he has to cook, either for himself or if he he forced to cook for others for any reason, he will not go towards the kitchen.
Now, onto my OCs for Eternal Entities, out of the main characters Nağme Saor is the best cook and is in charge of cooking the majority of the time during their journey. She is an avinian, a species of birds able to take a humanoid form, that grew up being close friends to the crown prince due to her older brother. Since she was in the palace all the time, she learned how to cook from the palace chefs. Her brother, Aavistus, can cook crude meals (he did raise her after all, but didn't have the means to cook well). Then there is Vanajja, a former pirate that they are traveling with. She isn't a picky eater, so her cooking is just throwing in edible things into the fire for the sole purpose of not getting sick. She couldn't care less about taste or texture or what not, as long as it is edible and keeps her alive. Valgus Taeva is the crown prince of an empire, so yeah...he has never cooked anything for himself before. He can start campfires, but that is the end of his helpfulness. Then, there is a djin called Palsu the Illusionist. They don't eat. It is a literal sentient cloud of pure magic. They don't understand why mortals cook things.
I hope this was interesting enough to read!

for the asks requests:
1: DARIO BACKSTORY NOW
2: I wanna hear abt bravo
3: Florian reaction to everything
4: SYMBOLISM. PLEASE. 🍽️
Oh I actually didn't expect for all of these to be asked all of the same time, as they're kinda long answers... Specially number 3. But I can work with that :)
I think you guys might really like what's down here:
1- What Did Dario Not Tell Them At The Campfire
So when asked if he had any bad experiences with the king, Dario just answered he'd rather not talk about it. The reason isn't because Magnifico did something to him directly, but rather indirectly. See, Dario's dad is the royal announcer and his mother is a singer, both jobs that require their voices, and they value their voices a lot, while Dario was born with a speech impediment.
One day, Dario overheard them talking in their room, and they said how they hoped when Dario turned 18 he'd wish for the king to give him a voice.
Now, to some that may seem like a good wish, "who wouldn't want to have a voice?" you may ask, thing is that most disabled people don't want to be changed, what they want is to be accepted. Obviously though I can't speak for the whole ASL community, however I did study the basics of sign language in college, and my teacher, who is deaf, taught us about deaf culture, and how you shouldn't assume someone WANTS to be like you, to be "Fixed".
Dario didn't want to change himself, but in that moment he felt like his parents saw him as someone broken and hoped the king could fix him...
So yeah I didn't have him explain all that because it's way too depressing even for me.
2- Where Did Bravo Come From
A more wholesome little story with our faaaaaaavorite evil duo! Yay!
So, Amaya often goes to the woods to get ingredients for her potions, mushrooms, herbs, animal parts, you name it. She goes alone, just wearing a hooded cloak so she's not recognized.
One day, during her foraging, she heard a sound coming from behind her:
"Miirrrau!"
It was a quiet, growly meow
And she kept hearing it over and over, like it was asking for help. Now although the queen has a heart as cold as ice, she felt moved by the tiny cries, so she followed them into the woods.
And here's what she found:
Tumblr media
"Awwwwwwwn~" Her iced heart melted at the sight of what she thought was a little kitten "Are you lost, little one?"
"Miaurrr!" the kitten had a weirdly growly voice, but still high pitched like any kitten, he seemed to be scared and lost, looking for him mom
"Don't fret, you're safe now" she takes him and puts him in her basket full of mushrooms "I'll take you to your new home. Heh heh heh my love will have quite the surprise when he sees you"
So she goes back to the palace, Magnifico is busy changing some wishes when she arrives
"Daaaaarliiiiing~ Look what I found in the woods today!" She says showing him the kitten
Magnifico looks quite surprised, although he has seen Amaya do some REALLY messed up things, he never thought she'd use a whole kitten as a potion ingredient
"Hmmm... How nice dear, but uh- If you don't mind me asking- What kind of potion requires a kitten sacrifice?" He asks smiling, trying to be supportive of her weird hobbies
"SACRIFICE???" She holds the kitten close to her, looking very offended that her husband would imply that "I don't want to kill him! I want to keep him!"
"OOOOOH I see, I see. That makes more sense" The king says kinda relieved
(They have murdered and ruined the lives of millions, but they draw the line at killing a kitten)
"Well then, if that's your desire then he's all yours, my beldam. But don't expect me to take care of him as well" He said
And that basically went like one of those "Dad said he didn't want the dog" memes, because Magnifico really liked the cat and took care of him just as much as Amaya.
They named him "Bravo" because it's both what you say to cheer for someone after a performance, and their whole thing is that they're constantly acting to their people, and also means angry in Spanish, and the kitten often looked grumpy.
But as time went on, and Bravo grew... They noticed he just wouldn't stop growing. And soon enough they realized... That wasn't a cat, that was a lynx.
And thats how the situation went from good to GREAT!
Like, they just raised their own killing machine without even knowing it was a killing machine, they were beyond ecstatic, they were running around like "YES YES YEEEES!!!" ya feel me?
3- How Florian Reacts To Everything
Now, to answer this one, I'll tell you a story... About something that happened in the chapter "Into The Eye Of The Storm".
Something that happened from Magnifico's perspective... After he got struck by lightning.
So let me set the scene.
...
He felt excruciating pain he never imagine possible course through his body, and light was all he could see.
Until it wasn't.
Everything went black.
Magnifico shot his eyes open, and all he could see was a dark emptiness surrounding him, and feel water beneath his feet.
The king looked around completely lost, one moment he was in the storm with that star, and in the next he was here... His staff wasn't with him, he was powerless.
He hears a voice
"Huh... Took much longer than I would've liked, but oh well, looks like you finally got what you deserved."
Magnus gets startled by the voice coming from all around him, but tries to hide his fear by masking it with anger "Who's there?!" he demands to know
"Really? After just 25 years you've already forgotten my voice?" The youthful but voice says, bitterness dripping from his tone. Magnifico's eyes widen as he indeed starts to recognize the voice... The voice he celebrated he'd never would have to hear all those years ago. The figure starts to manifest itself in front of him as it says "But then again, you never were the type to listen much, were you, Mag?" Florian calls him by the nickname he used to affectionally call his older sibling.
Magnus sees his younger brother floating in front of him, but the expression on his face is one the king has never seen before. Florian was always happy, always kind and sympathetic, innocent, he was like the personification of sunshine itself. Now? Now his expression was so full of hatred, hiding behind a mocking smile, like Florian has been waiting for this a long time.
"See you grew a beard heh heh you look just like dad" The spirit jokes
Magnifico is staring at the apparition before him with wide eyes, his mind is racing, trying to make sense of any of this, how could he go from fighting with the star to thi-... Wait... He remembers something he read about wishing stars, they have the power to give people dreams... He must have been knocked out and the star is trying to play a trick on him... Yeah, that's gotta be it.
He smiles thinking he just figured this all out "Hahah guilt tripping? Really? Didn't think that was your style, Aster, I'm almost impresse-"
"You died." Florian just gives it to him straight.
Magnifico freezes.
"You flew too close to the sun brother, or rather, too close to the storm." The spirit explains, and starts to float circles around his older brother "And soon, your soul will completely leave this plane, and I will finally rest in peace knowing MY people are free from you." The spirit speaks almost spitting on Magnus face, emphasizing how the people of Rosas are his people, his kingdom that Magnus stole.
But the older brother is almost blocking out the sound of his voice, too busy processing that if what he's saying is true then... "Amaya... It can't end like this, I can't leave her no-"
"HAH! That's what you worry about? That wretched witch?!" Florian now has a mocking smile on his face, it's a smile Magnifico has never seen from his caring little brother in life... It doesn't even look like him anymore.
"DON'T YOU DARE CALL HER THAT!" He yells, now starting to accept that yes, that is indeed his brother's ghost, and he's enraged to see him again.
"Pretty sure I get to call the woman who poisoned me whatever I want." Florian says nonchalantly
"Tsk not our fault you made it so easy" the older brother smirks, trying to come out on top of the situation "I mean, a random mystery woman shows up out of nowhere, and you just invites her to be the royal potion maker? What did you think was gonna happe-"
"I thought you'd finally be happy." Florian interrupts him with a serious expression, Magnus stops talking and stares at him confused, so Florian continues "When you first locked eyes with her, I saw a spark in you... A gleam of happiness you never shown in all the years we lived together... I knew you were in love with her... THATS why I let her stay." He explains with every word dripping with bitterness "I thought "Finally, my big brother won't be so lonely and angry all the time! Love will surely make him move on from the fact he wasn't meant to be king!"" Florian makes a slightly more high pitched and cheerful voice as if to mimic how he used to sound like when he was alive "Hahah It's quite the tragic comedy, ain't it? I helped in your union... Unaware I was digging my own grave."
"... And do you think I care? We would've ended up together regardless. And I would take the crown that is RIGHTFULLY MINE regardless of whatever you did!" Magnus exclaims. If he's really dead and this is just the limbo between the land of the living and the after life, then he might as well take this opportunity to let out everything he wanted to tell his little brat of a brother all those years "The throne was MY RIGHT! But he said "NoOooO son! You must learn magic! So you may grant their wishes" WELL what if I don't WANT to grant all their whiny little pleas, like I'm some kind of SERVANT?! I wanted to follow my own path! I dreamed of being a good king! But then YOU showed up!"
"Sorry for being born, I guess" Florian says sarcastically
"YEARS watching them give you everything I ever wanted... I was pushed aside like I was NOTHING." Magnus sounds more and more deranged as he begins to smile sadistically at his brother "WELL GUESS WHAT! Now I "grant" more wishes than YOU and all of those old fools EVER DID! The people ADORE ME! And no one even remembers you!" Magnus spats out like he just won this argument, Florian is raising one eyebrow, looking at him like this is quite pathetic. The older king walks closer to him with a grin "So, how does it feel huh? Knowing your legacy will forever be "Just King Magnifico's little brother that fell ill and died""
Florian looks at him serious for a moment, before smiling confident again "I never did it to be remembered, I did it because I wanted to make my people happy, and I can rest easy knowing I did just that... While you lived a meaningless life, trying soooo desperately to make everyone love you, hoping that would make it up for the years you were ignored... Did it work?" Magnus looks shocked by those words, he tries to respond but Florian doesn't let him "Of course it didn't, you'll never be satisfied. And now, as if making my people suffer all these years wasn't enough, you try to steal the magic of a star, but oh-oh that didn't work, it got you killed in the most foolish way possible!... Now it won't be long until people find out the truth, then NO ONE will "Adore you" nor "Remember you"." Florian smiles widely as he asks "So, how does it feel huh? Knowing your legacy will forever be... Nothing."
Magnus has no words... His brother had never spoken to him like that... No one has ever spoken to him like that.
Florian looks satisfied, but he already know that... Unfortunately, Magnus time hasn't come just yet
"*sigh* Karma really does work in mysterious ways... Looks like the witch comes to your rescue, Mag... Again." Florian says with his arms crossed.
Magnus doesn't understand what he's talking about "Wha-"
"When you get back, if you even remember any of this... Tell Amaya that I lied, her tea tasted terrible." He says with a cheeky grin while waving his brother goodbye.
Magnus feels him sink into the water beneath his feet. He screams and-
His eyes are shot open.
He gasps for air.
Amaya brought him back from the dead with her kiss.
...
So yeah, that's dead Florian, his personality is waaaay different when he was alive by the way, but I enjoyed writing someone that can spit some facts on Magnifico's face.
4- Symbolism
I've wrote a whole lot in this, so I'll just end on a simple note:
I like the symbolism of Asha's family always being with her, from her wearing her mother's cloak and her ability to draw being what saved her, to her singing to inspire the people like her father, and playing her grandfather's mandolin, it really feels like even though they weren't THERE they were essential characters in her journey. And I'm proud of this little detail.
There's more juicy symbolism but now I'm exhausted from writing because MY GOSH Florian was intense, I really got into the mindset of a 20 year old that got murdered by the brother he once admired and I don't feel well. OOF. Imma take a break lmao
Thank you for the ask and
