Hello! I just saw something that a jy shipper post today, like they hang out together just 2 of them a few times, jaehyun have a TY photocard in his phone case when in Italy, have matching clothes a lot, they often awkwardly interact on cam but actually close, etc. I'm curious if you know these are comfirmed events or just speculation. I find it kinda funny bc it's so similar to what jd shippers usually say about jd
It's not only JaeYong shippers, JaeWoo shippers also were noticed basically taking JaeDo posts and changing names.
By hanging out, the two of them, the OP probably meant TaeJae posting on IGs about going to the same park together to watch blooming tulips ("coincidentally" Doyoung was shooting his Dorsen pictures at that park). Aside from that, they are friends and members of the same group, it's not something impossible for them to go out to eat once in a while. I won't be able to name a case with pictures by fans though (from recent years).
Found the phone with the photocard. Here, 10:10. Neos often use staff's phones, staff sometimes have pictures of NCT members. I mean, it's a black i-phone in a clear case. When did Jae's phone case was so free of cracks. Even if it's his phone, one case of having a picture of Taeyong is not proof of dating.
JaeDo shippers can pull out tens of matching clothes pictures, JaeYong shippers can't do that. There were cases when the two did wear same brand or model even. Funnily enough, there was a white shirt all three wore for promotions abroad. SM wardrobe is a thing.
I wrote about it before. If you go into a shipper bubble, you'll find persuasive narratives. It is not hard to take things out of context, invent things, edit things, present a certain reading. And seeing how many people support and "see the same things", it is easy to fall into the trap and believe the story. Especially when one wants to believe.
Like, take the latest JaeDo moment with Doyoung putting his hand between Jaehyun's legs. It was all over twitter. Yes, the moment showed how comfortable JaeDo are with each other, how there is no regard to personal space (for contrast: Doyoung asked the cameraman who was taking a video of him for tiktok if he could touch his hand (17:32)). However, shippers wanted to see more, something sexual, their thought direction was skewed by their thirst for shippery romantic/lust themes and the view of Jae's groin.

Regaining treasures pt 1
Welp, I'm keeping my promise. Time for angst and hurt/comfort in the Golden Cheese Kingdom.
This is in my Rebloomed Lilies Au, but I am not sure where yet. But I hope you enjoy!
Setting: Golden Cheese Kingdom ruins. The ancients receive a letter from Golden Cheese Cookie, asking for their help with something important, needing a few ingredients. She didn't explain why, but it was urgent.
Pure Vanilla: Well, here we are.. *looking around*
White Lily: *looks around at the broken buildings and fallen statues* Oh witches… Her oasis… Her temples…
Dark Cacao: From what the children told us. It is.. *frowns* Much more troublesome seeing it in person…
??: There you are!!
*The three turned to look, seeing Golden Cheese flying over to them, the wielder of the light of Abundance was dressed in a more casual outfit, followed by a green haired Cookie with glasses.
Golden Cheese: You made it! *hugs Dark Cacao* Well, most of you.
Pure Vanilla: *smiles sadly* Sadly, dear Holly couldn't make it, and is caught up with things in her own kingdom.
Dark Cacao: *hugs her back* She has asked us to bring gifts for you. Are you alright, Birdie? You look exhausted.
Golden Cheese: *pauses, smiles* ...Let’s get inside first. Get out of this annoying heat, yes?
*Golden Cheese leads them inside the temple, where cheesebirds and a few cookies were seen, the cookies seeming to be tending to others who was injured.*
Pure Vanilla: *soon looks at the green haired cookie* Um, Goldie? Who is this?
Golden Cheese: Oh this is Olive cookie. She’s a friend of that Adventurer Cookie you all hired to find me.
Olive: *smiles, giddy* That’s me! I-I must say, It is an honor to be in the presence of even 4 of the ancients!! Your majesty, I am a FAN of each of your civilizations' work!!
Dark Cacao: Nice you meet you madam.
Golden Cheese: She has been extremely helpful with her vast interest in my kingdom. With her help, I've managed to awaken some of my subjects. Its a slow process but its working.
??: *small girl wrapped in bandages approached the group, reaching up to the queen herself.* Nana?
White Lily: *confused* A tiny mummy?
Golden Cheese: *smiles, picking the girl up* Hello sweetie. How are you?
Pure Vanilla: Such a cute little crumb! Who is this?
Golden Cheese: This is Fettuccine, my grandchild.. Fett, these are my friends. Dark Cacao, Pure Vanilla, and White Lily.
Fettuccine: *giggles* Hi hi!
Dark Cacao: Grandchild?
Golden Cheese: *nods* Found her in archives. She kept allowing me around, so I adopted her.
Pure Vanilla: *chuckles* Never expected you to be so fond of children, dear Cheese!
Golden Cheese: hehe, yeah. *frowns a bit, shakes her head* How about we get something to eat?You three must be tired from your journey.
*By midday, Golden Cheese offered her friends a nice lunch in the river spot in the middle of the temple. Her servants continue to help, despite her adamant waving off for them to go rest. She was a queen, but not helpless. She relished in the gifts her friends brought her, her wing flapping in happiness *
Pure Vanilla: *reading over Olive’s notes* Ms. Olive, this is amazing research! The details are immaculate!
Olive: *chuckles* Aww gee, thank you your majesty! Golden Cheese Kingdom is a mysterious and fascinating place. I’m just glad my research is helping restore this place.
Golden Cheese: *offering Fettuccine a cheese bun,smiles* I’ve been thinking of making her my scribe once my palace is complete! *sips on a glass of berry juice*
Dark Cacao: *twiddling with his fork* But Golden Cheese, I must ask.. Why did you call us here?
*Pure Vanilla, White Lily, and Olive looked at the golden queen, seeing her face go from happy to pained to sad.*
Fettuccine: *touches Golden Cheese’s arm* ..Faba?
*Golden Cheese frowned a bit,soon picking up Fettuccine. She nodded to the little mummy, looking at the others*
Golden Cheese: *sighs* I guess I cant waste anymore time huh? Follow me.
*soon leading them into a hidden room.*
*Three sarcophagi laid there, each with a different animal head on them. A bull, a falcon, and a jackal. Etched on the coffins were each different times of day, morning dawn, midday, and midnight. The queen approached one, a shaky hand touched the middle one, looking sad.*
White Lily: *worried* Golden Cheese…?
Golden Cheese: Heh. This is my hidden treasure room. I.. I keep the most sacred of treasures… Ones birthed from my feathers…
Fettuccine: *waddles to the jackal sarcophagus, touches it* Faba..
Pure Vanilla: Birthed from your feathers..? *frowns* You mean…
Dark Cacao: Children. She means children, Vanilla.
White Lily: *shocked, covers her mouth*
Golden Cheese: *nods* I came back to my kingdom, I found them dead. I managed to collect their souls and their bodies back together, crumb by crumb. But.. I can't wake them up…
Pure Vanilla: So that’s why you asked for our help.
Golden Cheese: *nods, hears something* Oh, um… excuse me. *leaves the room*
White Lily: *falls to her knees* I… She.. *sniffs* I did this…

A Quick Cookie Run Headcanon:
Considering that The Cookie Kingdom is a place for all cookies to belong, I headcanon that a good chunk of desserts from across Earthbread have a vacation home there! Here are some examples:
Pure Vanilla, Black Raisin, Lilybell, Blue Lily, and White Lily- A mansion colored in both creamy white and Vanillian blue, with stained glass windows and beds of Lily flowers + vanilla orchids. It includes a backyard tree house for Black Raisin and her crows (Plus a guest house for her villagers), and a swing set for Lilybell and Blue Lily.
Strawberry Crepe- A nice home with an outdoor workshop and a hangar for his personal wafflebots. It even has a break area room.
Hollyberry, Elderberry (My OC), WildBerry, Royalberry, Jungleberry, Knight, Princess, and Tiger Lily- A Hollyberrian style mansion with a driveway and fence, plus a fountain in the courtyard and a few balconies here and there.
Raspberry and Raspberry Mousse- A gorgeous raspberry pink mansion with elegant gardens and a driveway. It also has an outdoor training area for the both of them! For those who are curious, Blueberry’s vacation house is blue with the same features, but it also has an afternoon tea area. Bumbleberry’s has the same features but purple, and there’s an outdoor modeling area. And Cranberry’s is the same as the last 3 but red, and with a statue garden.
Dark Cacao, ChocoPearl (My OC), Dark Choco, and Crunchy Chip - A Dark Cacaoan Mansion with elegant Choco Cherry Trees at the sides, alongside stables and maximum security. Also a spot for Cream Wolves.
Caramel Arrow + Watchers- A fortress that has watchtowers that can see throughout the kingdom and everywhere in between. Plus, it even has a free boba dispenser for anyone who’s thirsty.
Golden Cheese, Burnt Cheese, Mozzarella, Smoked Cheese, and Parmesan (My OC)- A Golden Cheesian style mansion with golden statues and even a personal garden with elegant desert plants and Cheesebird tree houses. Even has a landing pad for them!
Pitaya Dragon and Snapdragon- would be a treasure filled mansion inspired by their cave. Lava moat, a jacuzzi, and even a play area for Snapdragon.
Ananas Dragon- would be like their pineapple palace. Palm trees, a personal oasis, and even beach chairs are present.
Lotus Dragon and Hydrangea- would be on a body of water and be like the Lotus Palace. Has a huge koi pond and lotus flowers numbering in the hundreds.
Lychee Dragon- another mansion, but like the cave they’re from. Many plushies of monsters are everywhere.
Longan Dragon and Snakefruit- Would be like the Longan Palace, and has a staircase + lift for guests to enter.
Clotted Cream and Light Cream- A floating mansion that has several entrances to it, along with waterfalls that cascade down into the waterways. Elder Custard’s room is in the basement.
Oyster- A giant beachside mansion in the shape of a seashell. The house is located inside of the clamshell and has tons of pearls and such on it.
Captain Caviar- A beachside mansion with maximum security and a moat filled with sharks that leads to the ocean. Said sharks are harmless and swim in from the sea.
Baumkuchen- A clinic with the Creme Republic’s architecture and such. Idea by @plumcrane93

Nebula Oasis Bar (Episode 3)
Greetings, citizens of the galaxies. On this momentous day, the sidereal spacecraft of the Xiirians finally made their descent on Queridian City.
Watching them up close, their presence evoked images of terrestrial insects, but with a magnificent, alien beauty.
In an inter-species gesture of welcome, I decided to offer them a cocktail called 'Grasshopper'. And what a success it was! Their mosaic eyes lit up and their antennae twitched in appreciation. A combination of exotic flavours that conquered their cosmic palate. As the skies filled with wings and voices from the stars, we celebrated the meeting of two worlds, uniting the art of mixology with the great adventure of the Universe.
🍹Ingredients: 20 ml Crème de Cacao (White) 20 ml Crème de Menthe (Green) 20 ml fresh cream
🤙Method: Pour all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously for a few seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Pisco Tour to Paracas
Despite being harassed by a mosquito around 3am, I woke up early for breakfast and took a cheap taxi into Huacachina with my bag to drop it off at the hotel to be stored for tonight’s bus to Paracas. I had enough time for a morning flat white at Jaku Coffee again and then boarded the bus with the rest of the passengers doing the Pisco tasting tour today. When the menus for lunch were passed around on the bus I decided to order mine ahead since Jean-Luc had said the prices were reasonable and portions were large. We drove through Ica to the Nietto Pisco distillery and our PeruHop guide Leo took us through the process of making pisco which involves squashing grapes barefoot, boiling the juice and then cooling it. We were introduced to Camilo who would be leading us in our pisco tasting. He passed us all a plastic shot glass and then we got on with the tasting. I’m not sure exactly how many we tasted but it became clear that the goal was to get everyone sloshed and wanting to purchase bottles of their pisco and it worked well. The flavours I remember were the original unflavoured, fig, apple, grape wine, cacao, lucuma, crème, and coconut. Of course I too was ready to open my wallet and buy some souvenir bottles, with the issue of carrying them in my backpack for another 2 weeks or so all the way back home not really considered… I chose a bottle of the cacao and the lucuma since they were my two favourites. Each bottle was only 40 soles (about $12) so I probably would’ve bought more if I’d had a suitcase! After tasting and buying, we were led upstairs for our lunch in the restaurant. I’d ordered the grilled chicken with rice and chips and during lunch I chatted with Hugo from Nantes, and three German girls about their travel so far and future plans. Once we were back in Huacachina I had a couple hours to wait before the bus to Paracas so I headed to a little café for a mocha frappe and ran into one of the German girls from lunch again, along with a snobby English girl but we all chatted for about an hour and then they headed off and I got to work writing my blog and doing some more walking around the oasis before watching the sunset. On the bus to Paracas there were only five of us and Leo had brought us some popcorn for the journey. It took a couple of hours to reach Paracas and once we had arrived, I walked with a strange Canadian girl called Rainbow towards my hotel. It was very dumpy and I’d booked a room with a shared bathroom although it looked so dirty I asked if I could upgrade to a private bathroom (in Spanish because this receptionist didn’t speak a lick of English). I also asked him about laundry and he was very helpful, although he seemed to talk down to me like I was stupid because my Spanish was not fluent! It was super noisy with cars, dogs barking and TVs blaring through the night, and the door lock was super flimsy and could be easily kicked in but at least it was close for the tour tomorrow.

Y admito que a veces en los lugares más remotos, salí también en búsqueda de la duda que acompaña a cualquier explorador que esta dispuesto a abandonar la cordura. A desnudarse. A la entrega desmedida. Al reto y al desafio. A salir del valor de una moneda;
Bolívar y su delirio
24 de Julio. Hoy cierro con usted. De mi parte, los acuerdos me han llevado a un recorrido que estremeció mi espíritu. Aprendí a envestirme contra toda dificultad y heredé una espada de notas que va directo al corazón. Comprenderlo se hizo una necesidad para caminar el mapa de 5 países que aún vibra su nombre. Pero sobre toda la tempestad, los éxodos de espíritu en los pueblos, el ruido de la era e incluso, en medio de pandemias y guerras, pude sentir la inspiración de estar vivo.
La musa insaciable de crear una obra de arte que libere hasta la más insignificante partícula del entorno ha sido el norte de mi navegación.
Yo supongo que en una cápsula de tiempo invertida, seria justo afirmar que el equivalente de lo que mi realidad ha causado, sería aquella donde usted incluyó al canto de los esclavos dentro de su propia partitura. Un movimiento disruptivo para los estándares.
En la incomprensible línea del tiempo, nuestros pasos por más gloriosos que sean terminan inspirando el camino de un “gran otro”. Me deleita pensar que en esta humanidad que venimos a experimentar existan seres tan especiales que logren un salto de consciencia colectiva y, que en ese acto que materializa un cambio global vibratorio, se nos permita ver y sentir los misterios de Dios. Transformar los paradigmas que mantienen al alma en la ignorancia y el miedo, sería una acción que debe ser recompensada por la divinidad.
Un guión cósmico de aquello que aún no logro explicar de manera sencilla.

Es importante mencionar para la historia que en este acuerdo existen más 400 Ofrendas Musicales realizadas.

La frontera
Salgo de los limites dibujados. Mi rumbo lo define una sutil corazonada que fácilmente, dentro de otro contexto, pudiese confundirse con un capricho de la imaginación. De la misma índole de aquel que siente llevar un piano a la cima de un tepuy para dedicar su arte a la madre de todas las aguas (!)
Salgo a la apuesta desmedida por la continuación de una cruzada artística que, más allá de representar un enorme desafio, continúa escribiendo un guión cósmico que supera la ficción.

Clea Strange mini headcanon dump
Clea tends to smell like a mix between lavender and jasmine, old books and cacao.
i just keep thinking of that comic where she found the flower and I think florals really end up becoming one of her favorite things. And when she lived with Stephen she'd leave vases of flowers in places. Or sometimes come home and bring Stephen flowers bc i mean- it's human gender norms that men gives women flowers. But there are so many here, and they're so beautiful, and she couldn't think of a more perfect gift to give to her husband, than something that in her eyes is as beautiful and wonderful as he is.
I like to think also... that just because she's the sorceress supreme of the dark dimension, there's no reason for such a place to match its name. So she's taken care of that flower ever since and watched it bloom and helped it spread.
It's her little oasis she goes to when she needs to clear her mind

And here's the second part of my playthrough of the Desert Society quests...
With his three wishes already spent, Ichigo keeps looking for the oasis and comes across Yoruichi, a dancer, and after noticing Kon's lamp is now missing, he runs into Rukia believing she stole it from them but she just wants to return the lamp to its rightful place. She then tells them she is being followed...
Kon says it's not him because he's bound to the lamp...
...and Ichigo states that he doesn't know her and has no reason to do so. So this is their first meeting in this world...!
A few moments later Yoruichi appears as a cat, Ichigo breaks her transformation and she tells them she's after the lamp and Rukia but right as she's explaining this, Wakame-san appears and states he's there to retrieve the lamp and the girl...
And before Kon can say anything about it...
...Ichigo is already on it! But they just met her a few moments ago and Yoruichi was just telling them how Rukia is a thief!! Shouldn't he just hand her over then? Why would he protect a thief?
Anyway, they beat Wakame-san and he explains that his master has a personal interest on Rukia, to which Yoruichi interjects saying that it's because she resembles someone he once loved. So Wakame-san kindly asks Rukia to accompany him to which she agrees to, but there's someone who has something to say about it...
But Rukia is Rukia in each and every world, so...
... that's what she says. I just gotta love Rukia no matter what she says or does, she's cute, silly, gorgeous and elegant all at the same time, it's just impossible to not love her. Follow your dreams my girl! Go!
But Ichigo is not convinced...
Just let her go my boy, why are you so worried about a thief you just met? Hmmmmmm...
But once again, Rukia is Rukia... and insists that she's curious and that she'll be fine. Ichigo finally agrees to let her go (she's gonna be accompanied by Yoruichi anyway) and so they part ways.
It was a very short story but it was a lot of fun, I absolutely loved their designs and I'm still crying about not pulling Rukia but I'll just wait for her solo banner, Cacao Society Urahara also made an appearance so you're telling me there's a multiverse?! and Ichigo was just too cute when interacting with Rukia. At first he did doubt her and accused her of being a thief but as soon as she told them she was being stalked followed he instantly turned into full protective mode, no questions asked and then he just didn't want to let her go to this rich man that finds her similar to "someone he loved before". The cherry on top of this all is that Ichigo's summoning phrase is...
...and he used it when he was about to fight for Rukia...!!! I truly live for the simplest things.
Maaan, Klab does really like to play with our feelings but it does give us gold whenever they use Rukia and Ichigo for their special stories. And with all the fanarts around I feel so blessed~ =w=

I can’t believe the Portland show is only ten days away!! I’m so fuckin excited! :D
I thought I’d put together a little list of cool stuff that’s here in case Jack has time to explore. :)
Food:
The Waffle Window (3610 SE Hawthorne Blvd) - Best waffles EVER, and a super charming little place. I take everyone who visits here.
Pine State Biscuits (1100 SE Division St #100) - Amazing biscuits and gravy.
Food Trucks (10th and Alder) - One of my favorite things in Portland. There's an incredible variety of food here. My favorite thing is to go around and get one appetizer each from a bunch of different trucks.
Voodoo Doughnuts (22 SW 3rd Ave) - A classic Portland destination. Try to go in person if you can, because the menu will make you laugh. There's always a big line, though, so you may not have time for this one.
Blackberries - You’re here at the perfect time of year to pick blackberries! You can literally just pull over on the side of the road in wooded areas and find blackberry patches.
Coffee - There are plenty of Starbucks around, but you should try to check out some of the cool little coffee shops that are so abundant here.
Cacao Drink Chocolate (414 SW 13th Ave) - It’s literally chocolate that you drink. Not hot chocolate, but drinking chocolate. It’s amazing.
Places:
Washington Park (2760, 4033 Southwest Canyon Road, Portland, OR 97221) - The Japanese Garden is absolutely lovely, and there's also a zoo and a beautiful rose garden! I know you love archery, so I want to recommend the archery range here. I have a friend who can lend you a bow and arrows if you want (I know the likelihood of you being able to do that is super slim, but it doesn’t hurt to offer ^^).
OMSI (1945 SE Water Ave, Portland, OR 97214) - A really cool museum of science stuff! It’s super close to Revolution Hall.
Chinese Garden (239 NW Everett St, Portland, OR 97209) - This place is really cool because it's this amazingly quiet and peaceful oasis right in the middle of the busy city. It would be a really nice stop if you need to take a moment to relax.
Other Notes
There are a lot of one-way streets in Portland, so driving here can be a little stressful, but Google Maps does a good job of navigating. The traffic is absolutely awful, so make sure you plan for extra driving time whenever you try to drive anywhere. Walking the city is really easy, and the public transportation system is pretty good. You’ll see a lot of homeless people, which I know will weigh on your heart as much as it does on mine, so I just want to prepare you for that in advance.

The Ancient Spouses (Cookie Run Kingdom OCs)
Meet the spouses of the 3 other Ancient Cookies, save for PureLily, as I ship them.
Elderberry Cookie
The husband of Hollyberry Cookie and is a pacifist at heart. He loves his family and will do anything for them- even if it means losing his temper. He addresses everyone the same way, even if it means forgetting some royal manners.
Although he drinks berry juice, he doesn’t do it regularly. However, he will attend a party if he wishes!
His class is Support with a hint of Charge, with his skill being swinging his sword and commanding soldiers to charge at the enemy. His Cookie Decor is a nice garden tea party, with crumpets and petit fours.
ChocoPearl Cookie
The wife of Dark Cacao Cookie and the only cookie who was ever nice to Dark Choco Cookie. She’s a refined swordswoman, but also a skilled Medicine woman- she has studied medicine ever since she went to school.
When she met Affogato Cookie, she did NOT trust him! She ended up banishing him and his subordinates (Galao Cookie and Cortado Cookie); and witnessed the Sugar Swan fly off with her son so she could heal him up.
Her class is Ambush, with her skill involving her jumping into the air and slicing the enemy with her blades. Her Cookie Decor is a tea ceremony site, with a pot of matcha and a few other elements you’d find at a tea ceremony.
Parmesan Cookie
The husband to Golden Cheese Cookie. All he ever wants for her is her happiness- even if it means letting the Cheesebirds live their own lives and stop his wife’s tyrrany. (The Tyrrany part didn’t age well)
The only offerings that he’ll accept are the happiness of others; as he puts the happiness of other cookies rather than material values first- what matters is that they’re all happy and safe.
His class is Bomber, with his skill having golden spears raining down from the sky, bombarding enemies with the shiny stabbers. His cookie decor is an oasis where one can simply relax and put their cares to rest.

Alternate AU’s
So we were talking about tropes and how some settings feel a little overdone, so have a little inspiration to get you going in a new direction.
Band AU, only it's a travelling set of musicians following the Silk Road. They join merchants and mercenaries as they make their way from Constantinople to Yangzhou. One of them is following their dream to perform before Kublai Khan himself. Another is a spy, sent by the emperor Justinian to steal silk worm eggs from China and kickstart the silk industry back in the Byzantine Empire.
Vampire AU set in Nairobi. The characters navigate the skyscrapers and apartment buildings at night, going from bar to bar to feed off drunk office workers and the occasional lost tourist. They find an enemy in one very determined shaman, who has come from the planes to the city, looking for the murderer of his son.
Bonus: Noir Detective set in Nairobi, with the MC as the shaman, teaming up with a catholic priest to fight crime on the mean streets of the city, only to find that there's friggin vampires everywhere, and at least one werehyena, who may or may not have taken young men and women from his tribe.
Pirate AU, set on a boat in the 16th Century China Sea. The vessel is one of many in the fleet Ching Shih, a woman who commanded 80.000 people. One of the characters snuck aboard disguised as a man, only to find that there's entire families on here and no one gives a shit about boobs.
Two words: were dingo
Merman/maid AU set in Srinagar, an Indian city surrounded by lakes. Our intrepid main character has some sort of existential crisis and, inspired by a play/painting/Bollywood movie, they decide to pack up their belongings and go live on a house boat on Dal Lake. While they fill their days finding themselves and writing poetry about the sunset, their nights become interrupted by a weird splashing, and a water creature with way more attitude than should be necessary for something that doesn't exist.
Steampunk adventure set in 9th century Baghdad, when the city is filled with scientists and scholars trying to figure the world out and invent maths and astronomy. One of the characters desperately wants to fly, while another has been playing around with Israelite golem technology and making automatons. They hate each other, seeing the other's pursuit as frivolous, until the city faces its greatest threat ever, and the sultan tasks them with finding a solution. Together.
Coffee shop AU (cacao shop au?) set in a parody of 7th century Calakmul. In this dark comedy, our characters have to navigate their own hormones and their overly demanding customers, while above their heads wars are fought between the royal family and the priest class, both of whom demand complete obedience and the occasional human sacrifice.
Three words: Were Polar Bear
Two competing salt traders are forced by circumstances (the circumstances are bandits) to travel together across the Sahara. When evening falls after a mad dash across the sand, they finally find an oasis. Their camels are tired, their hired bodyguards are tired. They retreat to one of the few tents not destroyed by the raid. There is only one bedroll.
