i think "what the duck" is a guilty pleasure, the show has its questionable moments and i only watched it for oat and pop, they really are adorable, cute, funny and CHAOTIC🥹🥹 so THANK DESTINY!?, i read a recap of season 2 and WHAT THE *UCK REALLY WHAT THE *UCK?!?????? i plan to ignore the story about other characters because like i said, i only care about these two idiots but god what was that all about!?????
I mean, I can tolerate a sad ending, I'm not made of porcelain~ but the more I read about the story, the MORE EVERYTHING STUCK. like a ride through misfortune until you crash into hell.
it must be the worst ending ever evee eveerrrrr written, how did my silly cute series end like that? anyway, if I don't see it, it's not real...

final thoughts: supernatural season 15
holy shit. i did it. i finished supernatural. i actually finished it a couple hours ago but i'm still having trouble processing it. i've been working at this for six months (but with a one-month break back in december) and i'm finally finished. honestly i don't think i really believed i would do it because shit this show is long, and i am not predisposed to enjoy shows like this. so this is a huge mark of pride for me, that i can finally say i did indeed sit down and watch all 327 episodes of supernatural :)
anyway all that to say i hated this season with a passion lmao, hasta la vista baby ✨
honestly i think i'll end up keeping this short because frankly most of my criticisms boil down to
how did you fuck up your own lore this badly
holy plotholes batman
this is so disrespectful and irreverent toward kripke's supernatural
nothing about this writing makes any kind of sense
well, that's convenient (in the most boring way imaginable)
so it's basically just a game of spin the wheel and see what it lands on.
the season started super weak; the concept was bad from the get-go and executed only to a mediocre standard, so i couldn't help but cringe my way through it. rowena's death was really well done, but her character was never well developed, in the same way most side characters on this show are never well developed, so while i appreciate the care that went into that scene it felt rather empty. it made me regret how poorly and inconsistently written she was. and yeah most side characters get this treatment—hell, cas gets this treatment which is why i don't care about him much—but she had such a provocative death scene that it had me lamenting that she didn't get a better foundation and better development. alas, that's just what it means to be someone other than sam and dean on supernatural.
after that was... the eileen subplot. i do really like eileen despite her being a rather flat and uninteresting character the way most women are on this show (y'know, kickass independent "girl power" women without nearly any other significant personality trait), but i really didn't appreciate the substantial pivot sam took from dean-focused to eileen-focused in this season. yes, season 12-14 did go to great efforts to make sure this wasn't The Sam And Dean Show anymore, but season 15 is so dramatically incongruous from even 12-14 that it just boggled my mind. the sam/eileen stuff was a major part of that, and it just didn't feel good because it was one more nail in the coffin with regards to how little the showrunners respected the foundation of the show (y'know, "the epic love story of sam and dean"). the only real salmondean moment in the entire season was the 7-minute incest speech in the finale—like what? i couldn't even properly enjoy that because of how poorly it was set up, thanks to the four seasons of retconning their relationship and making it less important to the series overall.
anyway all that to say, they had this massive sam/eileen subplot and then nothing even came of it. sam didn't even call to check if she was alive after jack resurrected everyone? he didn't meet up with her on screen even once? like if you're going to give him this season-long romance with someone other than dean, you could at least have the balls to commit to it. i find that just. godawful writing. eileen didn't have to be sam's blurry wife or anything, but he should have had some kind of resolution, literally anything at all, if we're meant to believe she's in any way important to him. c'mon.
more incongruous moments: dean got weirdly angry in this season. like what's with episode 17 man? there is nothing about dean in that episode that feels even remotely in character. from "jack's not family" to dean pulling a gun on sam, it all felt wildly overblown, way too melodramatic and sudden, and just not anything dean would do. yeah he's an angry guy, but???? this was too much, even for him. and the whole jack argument between sam and dean made me roll my eyes hard. because how do you expect me to believe that after all of the developments up to that point, that
dean wouldn't consider jack family. first of all that's stupid, dean drops the f-bomb on literally anyone he thinks is useful to further his goals. second of all it contradicts the bond they've formed since season 13, and it no longer fits with the parallel themes set up between sam, dean, and jack. it undermines what's been established, what's been developed, and what jack means to them on a thematic level. so so so stupid. cannot stress how dumb this move was. it just felt like the writers pulling out yet another OOC moment just so they can conveniently move the plot in the direction they wanted. so annoying.
sam and cas are equals in dean's eyes. like that's just hilarious to me. the last time cas died dean got sad for a little bit and burned his body on a pyre. the last time sam died dean committed suicide. these are not equal reactions. and sam and cas have never been equal to dean because dean always chooses sam over everyone, again evidenced in the series finale. so it was just hilarious for this one episode to pretend like sam and cas could ever be equal.
of course season 15 did really push a destiel agenda in the most unexpected and bizarre way. like wow, and i thought seasons 12-14 were a totally different show. no, season 15 is so much worse than that. i have absolutely no idea why they made the choices they did with this season, but they were not good, they routinely disrespected kripke's foundations of the show, and they ignored every theme ever laid out up until then. all for... what, exactly? so dean and cas can have a weird little non-romance together for 18 episodes only for them to slip wincest back in at the end? what's up with that? no like seriously, what were they trying to do here????
i told my friend this earlier, but i do think it's funny how cas's death speech is just straight-up factually incorrect regarding dean. i'm 100% fully willing to believe that castiel was blinded with lust by dean winchester that he simply made up some guy in his head who looked like dean. and that will be my headcanon going forth because wow it's shocking and funny as hell how much he got wrong while waxing poetic about dean. "you're the most selfless man i know" when kripke spent 5 seasons pounding it into our heads how fundamentally selfish dean (and sam, obviously, but the speech is about dean) is. girl what are you saying. dick so good he rewrote dean's basic character traits to be more convenient to him. i respect it truly i do.
anyway the finale. i hated it! to absolutely no one's surprise. a few days ago i wrote out what i thought would have been the most thematically cogent endings for supernatural. i knew what actually happens, obviously (hard to miss tbh), but my resolve on this front was only strengthened by actually watching it. yes the 7 minutes of incest were very nice and compelling, but... wow. this episode has some of the worst pacing i've ever seen in my life. dean died halfway into the episode? and the rest of that was... a sequence of short scenes that are too drawn-out to be a montage??? like there was no tension, no buildup, and no setup for what they did. it felt so lazy and underdeveloped, lacking any kind of poignancy or thematic cohesion. and then i had to watch TWENTY MINUTES of half-baked scenes of dean in heaven and sam growing old. i wouldn't have hated this ending so much if they had better pacing, i'm serious. like the outrage i feel is predominantly because of how badly it was written. the concepts aren't good, but they were par for the course. but TWENTY MINUTES OF MONTAGE. A MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH WITH NO EMOTIONAL BUILDUP, WHICH ACTIVELY CONTRADICTS THE THEMES OF THE SHOW. WHAT!!!!!!! WERE THEY THINKING!!!!!!!!!!
anyway i disliked that a little bit.
so overall i pretty much hated every part of this season and there were very, very, very few redeeming features sprinkled in. it's fine though! i'm fine. it's all over now :)
a few brief thoughts on the series overall: i regret ever speaking badly of kripke's supernatural; i didn't know how good i had it until it was gone. in hindsight, a lot of the seasons i thought were dogshit were actually not the worst things ever—i just didn't realize how bad bad could get. i know now. i will carry that knowledge with me forever.
dramatics aside, i honestly did enjoy watching the show. as much as i hated so many of the writing choices, the plotholes, the retcons, the way the writers just handwaved away anything inconvenient and rewrote characters entirely just to force them into the story they way they wanted them—it was still, like, fun. the agony was enjoyable (things masochists say). i think it helps that the fandom at large generally agrees that the writing is bad; it gives a sense of community and solidarity in the misery. there's no uneasy disconnect between myself and the rest of the fanbase, and that honestly does make all the difference. it's fun to suffer together, and i don't regret watching this show one bit :)
so with that said, here's my final ranking for every season:
season 1 (thematically strong, tight writing, incredible vision, truly foundational in its establishment of overarching themes, tone, and genre)
season 2 (such an interesting plot which builds on what was established in season 1. this is where the meat of the show is, where the heart is exposed to daylight as the chest is ripped open)
season 3 (well written, though disappointing in some areas largely due to kripke dropping the special children plot thus leaving a hole. not very noticeable due to the good writing, but still there. i'll never forgive them for killing off henricksen)
season 4 (this is the first real drop in quality imo, but it's relatively insignificant. the writing feels more meandering, and the tone shifts rather drastically away from the horror of its origin. the introduction of angels destroys a lot of the religious anxiety that formed the foundation of the show, but at the same time introduces a fantastic story about fate and doom)
season 5 (same as season 4, but with the flaws a bit more glaring. castiel's unclear motivations and underdeveloped shift in perspective are a major point of contention for me; i don't think it was handled well and could have been written better to make him a stronger character from the get-go, possibly allowing him to be a better character in later seasons instead of the conflicting mess we ended up with)
season 9 (the writing is atrocious, but the vision is so good. i still don't know how they managed that. they had such a great idea and they took kripke's supernatural and expanded on it in such a satisfying way. it drove me crazy! but holy shit the actual writing is so bad)
season 8 (i feel largely the same about 8 as i do 9, but i just think the writing was overall worse. it does get brownie points for having benny in it, though)
season 10 (boring. boring and paced so, so, so badly. the sole redeeming feature was how committed it was to its vision. it has the exact opposite problem as season 6 in that it has too little content to fill out the season. but god, the vision. you'll hear me waxing poetic about the season 8-10 vision on my death bed)
season 7 (it did a lot to pave the road for seasons 8-10 which i can't ignore. it also got itself fairly settled after the mess season 6 was and didn't try to bite off more than it could chew. i didn't love it, but it had a lot of moments that were provocative and interesting, and it provided pretty good setup for season 8. the writing was not good, but i think that goes without saying)
season 6 (introduced really interesting ideas, but tried to cram so much into one season that it failed to deliver satisfying payoffs for any of its setup. soulless sam was an interesting exception and really redeemed it for me)
season 12 (12 and 13 are about equal for me because i hate the plots, i hate the intense diversion away from The Sam And Dean Show, i hate the writing, i hate the concepts, etc etc. but they both introduce supporting characters which show off new and interesting sides to sam and dean: mary in 12 and jack in 13. it allows for focus to stay on sam and dean's relationship a little longer even though they're no longer generating any organic conflict between them, so i appreciate that at least)
season 13 (i fucking HATE the apocalypse world. that is my deciding factor between seasons 12 and 13. also i hate what they did to mary here)
season 14 (honestly an inoffensive season. i still hate the writing way more than anything else pre-12, and it doesn't have the benefits of a new character introduced to provide external conflict between sam and dean, so while it was relatively inoffensive it was also boring, lacking, and really obvious how little the writers cared about maintaining sam and dean's relationship as the emotional core of the show)
season 11 (the writing all things considered wasn't the absolute worst thing i've ever seen, if i'm being fair. on the other hand, i hated everything about this season conceptually, and i hate that it vouched for christianity as the ~one true religion~ which again undermines kripke's original series. this is me being petty and i'm okay with that)
season 15 (see above. oh but i'm honestly surprised it managed to surpass my ire toward season 11. like honestly it's impressive because i hold a massive grudge toward 11 which should have been insurmountable. a feat has certainly been achieved here!)
anyway. i said this wasn't going to be long but then i just kept on writing and writing. because that's what i do. i never learn 😔 i'll end it here then. i intend to go back and rewatch seasons 1-5 now that i'm finally finished, so i'm looking forward to that. i want to see if my rose-tinted glasses that i've been looking at kripke era with are based on reality or simply a longing to return to less terrible times :P

underappreciated series i recommend
it was my birthday not too long ago, and i decided it was a good idea to make a list recommending some series that i thought some of you would like. wanted to do nineteen animangas because of nineteen years, but that's too much work lol.
↪ ashita, watashi wa dareka no kanojo ; drama · romance
i started this one not long ago, and i don't regret it. reminds me of kuzu no honkai in the way it shows you how far people can go to feel acepted, to feel loved (even though what they get may not be love at all). people that are so insecure about themselves and how they deal with their situation, being in a healthy or unhealthy way. a series i would recommend to anyone who's looking for a more dramatically realistic (?) story.
↪ demi-chan wa kataritai ; comedy · sol · supernatural
a cutsie, simple slice of life about a teacher and his demi (half monster) students. in exchange of spending time with them and helping them with school, he gets to interview them and honestly? it is quite interesting. it may be me being a supernatural lover, but who knows. if you need something to fill that soft void, this show's for you.
↪ fantasy bishoujo juniku ojisan to ; adventure · comedy · fantasy · romance
can we talk about this show being one of the most entertaining things that came out on winter 2022? it's a show about two childhood friends who get transported to a fantasy world where one of them gets turned into the girl of his dreams, insults the goddess that gave him a "second chance" (he was hella drunk, she thought he was dead) as a woman, and she decides to curse them. since she's the goddess of love and some other stuff, they're like "oh fuck, she made us fall in love with each other" because they suddenly feel attracted to each other, but one of the guys already had a crush on his friend way before they reincarnated???? and now every single guy they find in their way falls for the now cute girl?????? and they have to control the og pining guy so he controls his hormones and stops getting 'seduced' by his friend????????? the only show were i thought op characters (kinda) were fun. a must watch.
↪ genderless danshi ni aisareteimasu. ; romance · sol
just another cutsie sol, but now it's about a girl and her boyfriend who's actually an androgynous influencer! their relationship is one of the cutest things i've seen in my entire life. haven't read the manga in a while, but i remember myself loving the art style. it's an slice of life, there's not much for me to say about it besides please read it.
↪ hakata tonkotsu ramens ; action · mystery
this show i should rewatch. it's a show about assasins who play baseball, like. do you need anything else? no, but seriously. it's actually pretty fun, but it has sadly been forgotten as one forgets a seasonal show that has been just 'okay'. i'm telling you, this one is not just 'okay'. c'mon. it also touches some serious themes, it's all pretty well balanced in my opinion. you'll end up falling for, at least, two or three characters.
↪ ID: INVADED ; drama · mystery · psychological · sci-fi · thriller
i never got to talk about this show, and my mind is kinda foggy, but damn i love this show. the first thing i mention when talking about it is the concept of the id well; it's supposed to be a representation of the criminal's mind and trust me when i say everything, everything has a reason as to why is there or being shown like that. it's kinda like the meaning of dreams? i'm such a fan of it. besides that, i really like the story and characters and think that more people should give it a chance.
↪ just because! ; drama · romance · sol
started this series because it gave me ao no flag vibes, and it ended up being nothing like that, but i still enjoyed it. is a show about teens being teens and having crisis about friendships, love and college. especially relatable if your teenage years were as chaotic as these guys. also, there's a cat called puta. do you need any other reason or?
↪ kanojo to kanojo no neko: everything flows ; romance · sol
i've seen people talk about the manga, but not about the show for some reason? in my case i read/watched both, and cried with both versions. i'm not the biggest shinkai fan (the majority of his works are just straight up boring to me), but damn this touched something inside me. it may be because i'm sensitive when it comes to animals or something like that. either way, leaving it here in case someone wants to cry over a fictional cat.
↪ marriagetoxin ; action · comedy · drama · romance
yes, i'm gonna talk about it again. i'm just really sad people don't pay attention to this series like ??? the hell are y'all doing? two chapters in and i was already imagining it as an animated series and being like "omg hope it does get animated i can't wait". this manga has everything: action, comedy, drama, the romance, the spice. i wish the harem laws could get applied here so we would get the "first girl wins" chance, but i highly doubt it. either way, a series y'all shouldn't be sleeping on. the disrespect.
↪ oushitsu kyoushi heine ; comedy · sol
i'm so upset this series doesn't get the recognition it deserves. nor a second season, i need it asap. it's a show about four dumb teenagers and their professor. it may sound boring to you, but please give it a chance. it's one of my comfort shows, being a funny and wholesome series to watch on a cloudy afternoon with a cup of warm coffee on your hands. it's not like it has a plot per se (in the anime, at least), but it doesn't even need one. the cast is just enough.
↪ Re:CREATORS ; action · drama · fantasy · mecha · thriller
i just don't hear about this show as much as i would like to. it's all about the power of creation and fandom, about the love one feels for one's creations, the passion behind the art of bringing entire worlds with their own characters and rules to life. and also about empatizing in a kinda extreme way with characters who were born to suffer. if you ever thought "i would like to meet my ocs in real life!", re:creators says "no, you wouldn't".
↪ tanaka-kun wa itsumo kedaruge ; comedy · sol
this is my favorite slice of life show and the only slow paced show i think i'd be able to watch again. i usually avoid these type of series, specially because the slow pace makes it unbereable to me. slice of life, doesn't matter what anilist says, is one of my least favorite genres in anime. but... this made me feel things. kind of. i mean, i really liked the characters, the enviroment, the chemistry that they all had with each other. i liked the comedy and the slow pacing felt... fitting, not suffocating. if any of you wanna watch a good sol, please give it a try.
↪ watashi no shounen ; drama · psychological · sol
this is a manga i finished like, right now. it's a story about feelings, sentiments, relationships. about your head being so messed up you don't even know what are you doing, what's wrong or what's right. a relationship so sweet and caring, but fucked up if seen in a bad demeanor. it also talks about family and how that builds you up as a person. i totally recommend.

If I wasn't a goddamn werewolf - Pt. 6
Tumblr media
Heyy! The series is ending, but we still have more chapters to come! Enjoy it while it lasts!
You are so done with all of that drama with men! Word count: 2.573 Pairings: Reader x Derek; Reader x Platonic!Laura Contain: Some angst, Original characters (Daniel, your boyfriend; Lafayette, your friend)  Warnings: English is not my main language <3; Inappropriate language TEEN WOLF MASTERLIST PART 1 |  PART 5
Seventeen years later, Santa Monica, California
"Yeah, girl, I know it's annoying. I mean, live in Beacon Hills? C'mon! There's nothing there!"
Lauren was lay down on her mom and dad's bed, talking with her best friend on her cell phone. The room was entirely filled with boxes: Lauren and her parents were moving to Beacon Hills, which had left her completely annoyed. It's hard for a 15 years old teenager to moving away from her friends to live in a completely different - and smaller - city. Then, she heard a voice calling her.
"Lauren..."
You were at the door frame, with your arms crossed and a serious face. When Lauren saw you, her eyes got widen, and she talks with her friend.
"Uh, Brittany, I have to go. You know, my mom is here giving me that glare. I'll call you later, okay? Bye."
Lauren turns off her phone, and you stare at her.
"I thought you were putting the rest of the things from the cabinet in the boxes."
"I was, but Brit called me and-"
Daniel stopped close to you, looking at Lauren with arched eyebrows.
"What's happening? Lauren, I thought you were putting the things from the cabinet in the boxes."
The teenager rolled her eyes.
"I'm going to do it right now, dammit!"
Daniel looks at you, trying to avoid Lauren's sudden bad mood.
"I'll gonna wait for you downstairs."
You nod for him while Daniel moves away from you. Then, you look at Lauren that was taking a few boxes out from the cabinet.
"Look, I'll go downtown with your dad. I'll be here soon, and then we'll leave. Be ready. I'm serious."
"Okay."
You let your older daughter alone in your bedroom, with your stuff being put in the moving boxes. Then, a suitcase caught Lauren's attention. It was beautiful, made with red velvet. She never saw that thing before. Moving by her curiosity, she opened it. Inside it, Lauren found a few things: a photo album, a necklace with a triskelion pendant, and a diary. The first thing Lauren took was the diary, and when she opened it, she saw a plane ticket to Vegas. That travel was made exactly seventeen years before she was born. With that plane tickets, Lauren also found two polaroid photographs. There, she saw you and Laura Hale with eyeglasses on a sunny afternoon in front of the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign. On the back of that specific photo, a handwritten quote that made Lauren gave a fun smile:
Who cares 'bout the men?
Today, Beacon Hills
Well, Daniel was not Derek's favorite person at all. Was It due to his jealousy? Oh, probably. However, Derek still has his own moral values. It wasn't fair with Daniel what happened between you and Derek, and Hale was completely sure about it. He felt guilty, and if your relationship with Derek wasn't the best earlier, now it seems to get worse. You were feeling guilty about sleeping with him while being in a relationship with Dan, as well as Derek was. He was a nice guy. Daniel didn't deserve it.
Derek was in the hospital where Daniel was working, inside his office with both sitting at the chairs. He made a few questions that would help him to solve the supernatural problem in the city, and despite he had noticed that Daniel wasn't also his biggest fan, he was being pretty collaborative.
"...And this is all I know and saw. I was lucky, I mean, I could have died that night."
Derek nod. Yeah, he could. Despite all, Derek was glad nothing had happened with Daniel.
"Well, a friend of mine managed to escape, so I'm just trying to understand what has happened there."
Daniel stares at him while sitting in his chair, with his arms crossed in front of his chest.
"You know what, Hale? I don't believe you."
Derek arched his eyebrows. He was surely not expecting that.
"...I think I haven't understood you."
"I don't know much about you, but I know you the Hales are different than the most. Inside that bar, I saw things that I can't understand, just like I can't understand things about you and your family."
Well, he really was not expecting that. After a few weird silent seconds, Derek stares at him.
"There a few things outside that could be better for you if you stay away from."
"I noticed."
"I know. You're smart."
"Yeah, Hale. I am." Daniel stood up from his chair, as well as Derek. Daniel gives him a glare, almost deadly "I'm also smart enough to know there three people in my relationship, am I right, Derek?"
Jeez... In that room and in front of that serious man, Derek could feel what feels like a punch at his stomach. Daniel's words made him dizzy.
But he wouldn't let Daniel affects him.
"I don't know, Daniel. You should talk with (Y/N) to find out. I don't have the answers you want."
"Are you sure you haven't?"
"Yeah, I'm sure." Already too annoyed to care, Derek gives his back to Daniel and walks to the door "This is not high school, Daniel. Go talk with her."
And when Derek finally opened the door to leave...
"Derek, wait."
When Derek looks at Daniel, he felt heartbroken. Daniel wasn't with a cold expression anymore. He was surely lost and... heartbroken as well.
"I'm sorry." He started to talk. "I know any of this is your fault. I just know that she is in love with you. She always has." Daniel stares at the floor, melancholic "I envy you. I wish she could love me just like he loves you."
If Daniel's goal was to let Derek without words to say, he achieved it. With the door's handle in his hand, Derek just stares at Daniel without any sign of what he could say. Dammit. It would be the right choice to put all the jealousy to the side to help him someway. Before he could stay anything, Daniel asks:
"Do you love her? Just be honest with me. I need some... Clue of what I should do."
Derek hesitates. However, if it would help him, he would answer. He nods positively, and Daniel lets out a long sigh. This time was Derek's turn to say something.
"I'm serious when I say you need to talk with her."
"I will." Daniel let out a short and humorless laugh. "I'm the intruder here."
"Daniel, I-"
"I will talk with her, Derek. Thank you."
You were heartbroken. You broke up with Daniel. You knew he was bad with it, but when you talked with him about it, you were pretty sure that was the right thing to do. He didn't ask you why you did it or how you decided it. Well, it wasn't like you didn't want to break up with him. It was just the way things happened between both of you. You knew you were being unfair and unfaithful, and that was the reason you felt so bad.
So, he decided to give you a break. You could be back with time, and he was pretty sure he could make you forget all about Derek. And talking about him... Well...
Everyone in the pack knew about you and Daniel, and that's why everyone gave you a break from everything. Without saying things directly, everyone was trying to help you to trespass this phase: Laura appeared at your house with chocolate bars and some movies suggestions to watch. Talia made your favorite food and called you to have lunch at her house. Derek gives you a break about all the supernatural stuff and about himself, and Peter gave you a lot of alcoholic drinks bottles.
But the fact was: You was so done about men! You were so done about all of that drama about Derek and Daniel! Crap! You need some rest.
Two weeks after your breakup with Daniel, you called Laura. It was 1AM, and the older Hale quickly answered your call.
"(Y/N)! What happened?"
"I know it's late, I know." You started to say, sitting on your couch with a glass of wine in one of your hands "But I needed to ask you something."
"...So this is not an emergency? You know, you're not in danger, you didn't say anything-"
"Do you have money?"
Laura's mind got a lack with your question.
"...What?"
"Do you have money? I mean..." You let out a long sigh "Girl... I'm so done with all this shit."
"Wait" Laura sat on her bed "Are you with financial problems or something like that?"
"No, girl. I was thinking about making a trip. We can buy the tickets tomorrow."
The older Hale's sister arched her eyebrows.
"Where do we wanna go?"
"Vegas. You know, who cares 'bout the men? I just want to give me a break, stop feeling guilty and all this shit."
A smile takes form on Laura's lips. She admires your will to move on, and she surely will not let you alone. And Vegas? Oh, it would be fun girls' travel.
"That's my girl. I'll buy the plane tickets right now."
And the next morning, there Laura was! Her suitcase was close to the main door of the house when Derek came from his loft. Confused, he stares at the suitcase and then his sister.
"I didn't know you would travel."
"Neither do I. But you know what? I'm kinda excited. It will be fun."
Derek arch his eyebrows. It was certainly not the answer he was asking for. Then, the doorbell rings. Talia appears from the doorframe of the living room.
"I'll open it."
And when Talia opened the door, there you are: A car was waiting on the street, and you were with a huge smile on your face. Talia's heart got warm when she saw you that way.
"Hi, dear. Laura's ready."
"Oh, really? Great, because I'm already am too."
You got into the house, and despite Derek's heart failed a beat when he saw you, he still with a huge interrogation point on his head.
"Do you talked with that friend?" Laura asked for you while she takes her suitcase from the floor.
"Yeah, he is waiting for us outside. He knows everything about Vegas. The best places to eat, to have fun..."
Completely lost about that matter, Derek followed you and his sister outside.
"Wait, are you going to Vegas?"
Before you could answer him, a car stopped behind your friend's car: It was Daniel, running in your direction. You let out a long sigh in annoyance, and Derek got even more confused. Laura looks at you with wide eyes.
And this is how things exploded: In front of the Hale house.
"(Y/N), wait!" Daniel runs in your direction "I know things got complicated between us, but can we please talk? Wait." Daniel stares at Derek, and then he stares at you "What are you doing here?"
Without any patience for all of that and already too tired to care, you stare at him.
"I'm here to take my goddamn best friend on a trip. Daniel, please, you were being great during those days, but please, don't try to create drama now."
"I'm not trying to create any drama, (Y/N). I just want to talk and solve things. I think you already had time enough to put things straight on your head, so we can talk and try to solve the things that are going wrong between us."
Oh, man... You couldn't believe it.
"Are you serious, Daniel?! What part of "we're done" you couldn't understand?!"
All that drama made the entire pack suddenly appear in the front door: While Talia watches everything with wide eyes and Laura stares at you and Dan like a tennis play, Cora, Isaac, Boyd, Erica, and Peter had run to know what the hell is going on.
Yeah, it was such a scene. A worthy soap operas drama. Oh, and things got even worse when Derek invaded your arguing with your, now, ex-boyfriend.
"Look, leave her alone. She already said what was needed."
That was enough to make Peter look at his niece Cora.
"Well, I miss pop-corn right now."
Derek's presence made Daniel blush in pure rage. His eyes stare at Hale in a homicidal way.
"No one asked anything for you, Derek. This is all your fault! We were great before you come back!"
Your eyes got widen, already knowing what all of that would result in. You knew Derek and Daniel so well to know things probably would evolve. They were two stubborn men wanting the same woman. Things would get worse, surely.
"Look" Derek approaches Daniel, with a low and threatening voice "I'll request you politely one time, and I just do it once: You'll get the hell outta here and leave (Y/N)'s alone, or I swear that I'll rip your throat."
"Enough!"
Your yell was what they needed to finally look at you. The arguing between Derek and Daniel ended with both of them looking at you. It was your turn to say a few things:
"Daniel, look at me: You're being stubborn as hell. I don't want to come back to you. I don't feel anything other than a friendship about you. That's why I broke up. I don't love you."
"You are telling me a thing that I already know, (Y/N). I'm just saying that we just need some time to-"
"We don't need time, Daniel! Do you know what we need? We need to not date! Do you got it, or do I need to draw it for you?" You stare at Derek, talking with him now "I appreciate your gentleman manners, but I know how to defend myself. And you know what?" You look at both men now, raising your middle fingers. "Fuck you both! I'm choosing myself. You guys can punch each other if you want. I don't give a fuck."
Both of them were looking at you in shock, and your face was warm in rage. Actually, everyone was looking at you in shock because you were freaking out. You yelled again, looking at your friend's car.
"Lafayette!"
From the car, a stunning black drag queen with pink hair came out.
"Hi, dear!"
"We're leaving. Could you please help Laura with her bag? Thank you!"
Lafayette approaches Laura and took her suitcase, bringing it to the car. Then, you grabs Laura's wrist and started to drag her to the car. The older Hale sister looks at everyone with wide eyes.
"Let's get outta here, Laura. I'm done with that shit!" You both got into the car, as soon as Lafayette, and you look at Laura "If you bring a man to our hotel's bedroom, I swear by God that I'll get your heart out with my hand."
You were definitely freaking out. You really were so done with all of that shit!
"Girl..." Laura stares at you, scared "You're definitely spending too much time with my family. You even learned how to threaten someone."
"Hey, girls" Lafayette looks at both of you in the backseat "No men, no drama! Let's go!"
Lafayette turns on the car, and Be Happy by CLMD starts to play loud. Then, the three of you were running to LA in the direction of a relaxing and fun trip. And to be happy.

Midyear book freakout tag
(Because I did it last year)
1) Best book
To my own disappoint, not because the book is bad but because its fans are. Something. , its The Secret History by Donna Tartt because GOD is it well written, just gorgeous prose. I also highly recommend the audiobook to anyone considering it because Donna Tartt's voice is so beautiful.
2) Best sequel
Being pretty much the only sequel I'm going to say Mutiny at Vesta by R. E. Stearns, such a fun sci-fi with lgbtq characters, though I didn't like it as much as the first book Barbary Station
3) New release you want to read
The Maidens by Alex Michaelides! I've read the Silent Patient by him and I've heard The Maidens is a dark academia so I'm excited
4) Most anticipated release
All's Well by Mona Awad because I liked Bunny and also. Shakespeare. C'mon
5) Biggest Disappointment
Lords of Chaos by Michael Moynihan and Dedrik Soderlind which didn't tell me anything I didn't know and just seemed to drag on
6) Biggest Surprise
Wonder Woman vol 1: the Lies by Greg Rucka, I don't tend to read mainstream superhero comics nor had I known anything about Wonderwoman, but I saw it at my library and decided to pick it up anyone and really enjoyed it
7) Favorite new author
Andy Weir! I read both The Martian and Artemis so far this year and both were great, super accessible sci fi stories with a light hearted tone (which I usually don't like), and they were both just a pleasure to read so definitely Andy Weir
8) Newest fictional crush
I don't do book crushes especially because I love reading books about shitty people
9) Newest favorite character
Ampersand from Axiom's End by Lindsey Ellis. Love that funky alien
10) A book that made you cry
Surprisingly, Wytches by Scott Snyder. Surprisingly because its a horror comic about supernatural witches hunting down a girl which doesn't scream tearjerker BUT there is a really sweet moment in a flashback between the protagonist, who struggles with anxiety and panic attacks, and her father who says he wouldn't want to have any other daughter. And as someone you feels like a shitty kid for being mentally ill. Oh boy I cried
11) A book that made you happy
Transforming by Austen Hartke, hearing about other trans Christians always feels good
12) Most beautiful book you've bought or received
I only have two books to chose from because I mainly go to the library or listen to audiobooks and I'm going to go with Animal Man book one, especially because the 30th anniversary hardback edition has cool art under the dust jacket. (Pictured below)
Tumblr media
13) What books do you need to read by the end of the year?
Well the 3 I'm reading now, A Memory Called Empire, Special Topics in Calamity Physics, and House of Leaves, but besides that it could be literally anything (pros of having little to no physically owned tbr). Probably going to pick up Jurassic Park next though so. That too. And as far as goals go I've already surpassed my 100 book goal and am way ahead on the upped 150 book goal so I'm doing pretty good

The Road So Far (pt. 2)
Sweet Pea x reader
Summary: Y/n Winchester and her two older brothers go to the small town of Riverdale for a case, and meets Sweet Pea on tbe way.
Riverdale + Supernatural Crossover
Word Count: 2006
Chapter 1 • Chapter 3
Tumblr media
Sweet Pea handed Sam the drinks, and you stepped inside. "Dean." You said. He reluctantly gave you his gun that he was hiding behind him. "C'mon dude." You put the gun on the table as he closed the door.
You and Sam sat down at a small table and started eating. "So, what's up with Mr. Nice Guy?" He teased.
You smiled and looked down at your food. "I don't know. Almost everybody seems afraid of him, but he's been nothing but nice to me. I asked around about him to see if he's a player, but everyone says that he's scary or that he's loyal."
"Why do people think he's scary?"
Mm, probably because he's in a gang, and has a neck tattoo, and rides a motorcycle, and is known for hating the Northside, and his name is Sweet Pea." He stared at you, amused. "But I'm just guessing. Could be wrong."
"So it's like he's a scary mafia leader who's respected by his people but feared by everybody else, and also protects his girl and treats her right despite everybody's warning about him to her."
You sat there in silence, taking in the truth that he was saying. "I don't see the comparison at all." You said quietly, picking at your food while Sam laughed.
Meanwhile, Dean and Sweet Pea were having a conversation that was not as lighthearted. "What's your game here?"
"What?" Sweet Pea asked nervously.
"Why are you trying to get into my little sister's pants? Don't think I don't know the kind of guy you are."
"I'm really not trying anything bad." Although Dean was tall, Sweet Pea was still taller, and Dean hated the fact that he had to look up in order to face him.
Dean didn't believe him. "You know we won't be here for much long right? A week max, and the three of us will be on the road together, just like it's always been."
"Yeah, and she deserves more than that." He stepped closer, gaining some new found confidence to the Winchester. "She should be enjoying the things that's in front of her, not just saying 'Who cares, I'm gonna be gone soon' like she has been. She deserves a life, and she's not getting that."
Dean looked away and wiped his mouth with his hand in frustration. Maybe he was right. Maybe the hunting life wasn't for you. "Look, if I see or hear about you trying anything with her-"
"You'll shoot me?" He asked, some of his confidence gone.
"Oh, no, I'll be standing right next to you watching while she shoots you." He smiled at patted him hard on the back, going back inside.
"So, how'd it go?" You asked with a teasing smile.
"Where's my food?" You and Sam looked at each other. If he avoided the question, that meant that he came to a conclusion he didn't like.
You silently put his food in front of him on the table, and he pulls up a chair to eat. "Oh, by the way," you said. "After dinner I'm gonna go out to Fox Forest with a few other people from school. They have a lead."
"Sure, as long as we tag along." Dean didn't look up from his food.
"What? No." You whined. "It's fine, I can handle myself."
"And what about your friends?" Sam caught on to Dean's bitter tone. He understood that Dean didn't like it that you were attaching yourself a little too much to a town that you will be leaving.
"They've been in a lot of dangerous situations before. Jughead and Betty have caught this kid's murderer, a serial killer, and have figured out a lot of sketchy crap that goes on in this town. They're good at solving mysteries, and have stayed alive in the process."
Sam looked from you to Dean. "That's... actually impressive."
Dean ignored all of that. "Jughead? What kind of a name is Jughead?"
Your face fell. "Is that all you got from that?" He sheepishly looked at you. "I'm going. Don't worry, if anything happens I'll call. Promise."
Sam and Dean looked at each other. "Fine."
You hugged Dean, to which he grumbled and hugged you back. You then took the pie out of the bag and opened the packaging, handing Dean a plastic fork and kissed him on the top of the head in a fun manner, ruffling his hair. "It's cherry."
A small smile came onto his face as he excepted your rare, playful love. You put on your jacket, put your knife in your pocket, and headed out. "Love you guys."
"Love you too." They both called out as you close the door.
You then head out to Fox Forest, meeting with the other three. You all search around, finding nothing for a while. Once you're deep into the forest, you found some tents. "Hey guys." You said. "Over there."
We all hid, trying to see whether someone would come out or not. Someone did. "It's a Ghoulie." Sweet Pea whispered, with Jughead nodding.
"A Ghoulie?"
"It's a rival gang." Betty explained. You breathed out a small laugh. Until they shifted into their true form. You were hoping that this stake out was going to be false, but that wasn't the case. "Oh my God." Betty whispered.
You took out your phone, quickly calling Dean. "Who are you calling?" Jughead whispered harshly.
"My brothers. Trust me."
As he answered, Jughead ended the call. "No. That won't help."
"Let's all just go before they see us." You said. "We need to think about what to do next." They all agreed, swiftly leaving.
The four of you stood in the cold near the bridge. "Okay, I need to process this." Jughead said. "We'll all meet up tomorrow to talk about what we're going to do."
Jughead and Betty left together, leaving you and Sweet Pea alone. "Hey, you okay?" He gently touched your arm.
"Uh, yeah. Still processing. Are you?"
"I'm a little freaked by it, but we have to do something so I guess I should try to be calm right now. Come on, I'll give you a ride."
You both got to the motel, and you stopped him from leaving. "Wait." You put your hand on his, causing him to stop. You then take off the ring you've been wearing. "Here."
He smiled at it and put it on, taking off his dog tag and putting it on you. "I know this was a scary ass night, but I'm still not letting you get away from me. Hope you feel better."
You blankly stated at him before giving him a light hug. "Thank you. I hope you feel better too." He then took off.
You put the dog tag underneath your shirt and went inside. "So," Dean said from his bed. "How'd it go? You called me but hung up right after."
"Heh," you nervously laughed. "So funny story-"
"You saw the werewolves." He uncrossed his arms. You nodded. "What'd you do?"
"Nothing. We decided to figure out what to do about it tomorrow."
"Damnit y/n." He sighed.
"I thought it would be a dead end." You defensively said. "I didn't know that they actually knew what they were doing."
He scooted over. "Well go to sleep. We have to go to school tomorrow."
The next day at school you prayed to Chuck that Sam and Dean wouldn't do anything while you were at school. It was then that there was an announcement that you, Betty, Jughead and Sweet Pea were to go to the principal's office. Damn you Chuck.
The four of you were all sitting down in Mr. Weatherbee's office, and as soon as the principal left your two giant brothers came in. "Aren't they your brothers?" Jughead asked.
"I wish I could say no." You gave them an embarrassed look.
"Hi." Sam said. "I'm special agent Hoff. This is my partner, special agent Hassel."
You let out a snort. "I'm sorry, is there something funny?" Dean asked.
"Wow guys, that's good. Special agents Hassel and Hoff. David Hasselhoff. Nice."
Dean sighed. "Really?"
"Dean cut the crap, they know what they saw."
"You two aren't agents." Betty stated.
Sam sighed. "Y/n's right Dean. They're smarter that they look."
Jughead leaned in his seat. "Why would you two have different last names when we know that you were brothers?"
Your two brothers were silent. Dean then looked at you. "You wanna give your smart ass friends the hunter's talk?"
You looked down. "Not really." You felt Sweet Pea stare at you, but you refused to look at him. He'd want to stay far away from you now, you were sure of it.
Sam and Dean finished explaining everything. The three teenagers sitting next to you were staring at you. You kept your gaze on the floor. "So that's why you all have to stay away from that place." Dean said. "At least until we take care of them."
"No." Betty said.
"Wha- were you not just listening to what they were saying?!" You exclaimed.
"You need more people, because knowing the Ghoulies, the whole gang's probably werewolves."
"Betty's right." Jughead nodded. "Strength in numbers. You need the Serpents."
"Serpents?" Dean looked at you for answers. You put two fingers to your neck pulse. He understood that you were talking about Sweet Pea's tattoo. He huffed. "This ain't some game for kid 'gangs'."
"The Serpents aren't a kiddy gang," Jughead protested. "They're a family. And my dad is the serpent king."
You knew it was supposed to be serious, but you couldn't help but find it a bit funny. "Well shit." You said, smiling. "This town is so weird, and I love it."
"Y/n, you can't be serious." Sam said.
"Well, we have to take out a big nest. You heard them, there's about 70 Ghoulies. We need all the help we can get." You then turned to Sweet Pea. "Doesn't your gang have a law about unity or something?" You cocked your head, a smile on your face.
He nodded, feeling pumped up. "In unity, there is strength."
"In unity, there is strength." Betty and Jughead echoed.
Dean huffed. "Fine, I'll call Cas."
"I'll call Crowley." You perked up.
"No." Both your brothers said.
"Why?" You whined. "He's changed. Now that he's got human blood in him, he's good. And he has a soft spot for me. Admit it." They didn't respond. "Silence is acceptance. I'll call him right now."
"Who's Crowley?" Sweet Pea asked. "And Cas?"
"Um, they'll probably introduce themselves when they get here." As Dean left the room to call Castiel, you shifted towards Sweet Pea. "Hey, uh, I get it if you don't want to talk to me anymore. People usually stay away when they find out I'm a hunter."
"Are you kidding?" Sweet Pea asked with a smile. "You're a total badass superhero! That just makes me want to spend more time with you."
You gave him a huge grin. "Really?"
He nodded, tucking a piece of hair behind your ear. He began to lean in, and your lips were about to touch before Sam cleared him throat. "You should call Crowley now."
You felt heat spread on your face as you nodded, taking out your phone and calling The King 😈. He put that as his contact on your phone.
"Hey Crowley. Whatcha doin'?"
...
"Sounds boring. So, I was wondering if you'd wanna help out on a case. Please?"
...
"No, not demons. Werewolves. About 70 of them."
...
"As soon as Cas is here, so about two days."
...
"Perfect! You're the best Crowley."
...
"Don't get too cocky on me now. I'll let you know when he comes. Bye!"
You then hung up the phone. "He's coming!" You happily said. "So while we wait on Cas, we have two days to help these Serpents to become a hunter."

Top ten of your favorite villains in general👀👀
OMG ty for sending this in! OKAY SO you said villains in general so this list spans across different media but ANYWAYS here they are in no particular order or reason, just the first ones in my brain.
1. Dracula from Castlevania because he was driven to go ham bananas all because he loved his wife so much that he was willing to give the finger to god by becoming immortal, just to prove god didn't have the final say and blah blah long backstory cut short THIS MAN LOVED HIS WIFE ENOUGH TO SUMMON A HELL ARMY 2. Lil' Slugger from Paranoia Agent is a good one because you don't know until the end of it whether he's a supernatural force or a real serial-maimer that goes after people with a bat. I'm always a sucker for good symbolism tbh. Though the series deals with some real heavy stuff, if you like thriller horror anime and Satoshi Kon movies then this one is good! 3. Eliade from D-Grayman; look, so spoilers BUT it basically boils down to "scary monster that pretends to be a human falling in love with a human pretending to be a scary monster". Though not only do I like her design, but thinking of her backstory & how she seemed to genuinely love Count Krory in the end & how he still loves her 😢 4. Doma from Demon Slayer because I love his design but God. He's such a Douche. That's it. Enough said. Don't blame me. 5. General Tartar from Splatoon 2. This sludge AI saw a second wave of sentient life emerge and saw it starting to copy humanities mistakes, THEN decided the only way to correct such was to blend smart children up in a literal goddamn blender to make DNA goo. And when that plan almost got messed up he was literally going to destroy civilization to start from scratch. Even for an AI its a super fucked up plan for an intelligent telephone to cook up. 6. Jorogumo from xxxHolic because she's not quite a villain per-se, even so idk to me 1 spider does not equal 1 eye considering how many babies those hellspawns can have and how many eyes they get when we humans have only two. A whole bag of spiders for an eye sure but c'mon. I'm not good at math but that doesn't seem fair BUT she did it to teach an important lesson and in Rei she seemed to care about the mermaid so 🤷‍♀️ 7. Kira Yoshikage in jjba to me is peak villain-y, because he doesn't ham it up nor is he too serious, instead he knows how to pick his battles....but just because you can taunt & beat up a highschooler doesn't mean you should. Or stop to change his socks. Idk he's calculated but petty, and ultimately his pettiness is what gets him in the end. Plus its funny when compared to other JoJo villains who want to take over/reset/control a part of the world, at the end of the day he's just a Salary Man who wants to live a quiet life while hunting for his odd fetishes. A certified weirdo. 8. The Mad Sorcerer from Dungeon Meshi. If you haven't read it I won't spoil you because its GOOD but with a sick title like that do you need to know anything more? jk but their evil reason is a classic trope and despite the evil it was done out of love SO YEAH plus I like how their pupils change time to time because unusually shaped pupils are always peak design.
9. Crona from Soul Eater may be listed as a villain but listen. I've adopted them as my own because they deserved WAY BETTER and people get nasty with them (I'll murder those people with a brick I s2g). The sheer HOPE in their eyes at the prospect of friendship...💀💖😭 plus their severe social anxiety is #Relatable 10. Uhhh not necessarily one villain but the group of girls from Rule of Rose really do embody those vibes that "people who were girls that got bullied by other girls" can only pick up and understand. No high-stakes really but in a horror game where you don't even really get to do anything abt what they do to the protagonist until the end really ramps up the helpless feeling in the game. (Also the shit game controls. Combat is notoriously awful)
