[ID: Black and white comic of Vash and Wolfwood from Trigun Maximum. The comic starts with the sounds "thud, thud, click". Vash, mid-action of peeling an apple, turns to the sound, noticing who it was that entered, and says, "Oh, Wolfwood, you're back." He resumes back to his apple in the next panel as he speaks, "Where'd you go? You snuck out of bed quickly this morning..." Wolfwood's hand then enters the panel, hovering over Vash's cheek and Vash looks up as Wolfwood asks, "Can I?" Vash responds, "Not going to talk about it?" while using a hand to gently hold Wolfwood's hovering hand and presses a kiss to his inner palm.

Vash then gets up fully, setting down the knife down on the table and the apple onto a plate, He leans into Wolfwood as Wolfwood explains, "Had to meet someone. Nothing interesting to talk about." Vash kisses Wolfwood's left cheek and a hand moves to cup his other cheek while muttering, "You're being vague." Wolfwood says neutrally, "If yer really that curious, keep askin'. We  can talk about that instead of doing this." Vash leans back and responds, "Let's talk after, since... You look so tired."

The panel pans to a close up of Wolfwood's downcast eyes, bags heavy underneath his eyes. He doesn't allow Vash to sit in that moment for long though, then saying, "Yer not helping, Spikey. Being all slow with it... I could fall asleep right now." He moves his hand to start unclasping Vash's coat, starting from his collar. Vash with red cheeks, responds briskly, "Oh, shut up. I'm worried about you. I can't be worried?"

The final shot shows Wolfwood's back to the viewer while Vash's softened expression can be seen as he holds gently onto the side of Wolfwood's face and a hand firm on his waist. Wolfwood responds, "I'm fine, seriously," pausing for a moment before continuing, "Is it okay to still..?" Vash responds, "Yeah, it's okay."

The next image is a shot from later that night after the previous comic. Vash and Wolfwood are now in bed, half naked. Wolfwood's buries his face into Vash's chest, his arms wrapped around him, while Vash is petting at his hair. Vash reminds him, "Hey. You said we'd talk about it." Wolfwood pauses for a moment before piping up, "In the morning? I'm sleepy." Vash says, "Okay..."

The next two pages start from the morning after. Wolfwood is already fully awake, pulling on his outer jacket as he says to Vash, whos' still bundled in his blankets, "Breakfast is on the table. Make sure to eat it. I'm going to grab some things in town and then we're leavin'. Got it?" Vash says, "Mh." Wolfwood responds, "Good. See ya in a bit." The dialogue starts to shift into Vash's inner thoughts now, as he gets up and eats toast, thinking, "Wait. Weren't we supposed to... talk about it?" The next shot then shows him fully up, meeting Wolfwood in town. He carries a half worried expression with him while Wolfwood slides on his glasses for him. A quick panel shows Wolfwood's tired expression from the night before and quickly juxtaposes with Wolfwood in front of him who's smiling gently, the shades covering his eye bags. Wolfwood asks him, "Still not awake yet?" Vash pauses, his thoughts stirring, thinking, "Oh. I guess I was getting ahead of myself... thinking you owe me that kind of honesty." He smiles at Wolfwood and responds, "I'm awake!" His thoughts continue, "Maybe one day, you'd trust me enough to share your burdens."

The final image shows Wolfwood pulling at Vash's cheek and Vash complains, "Owwwww why..." Wolfwood quickly says, "You were thinking something stupid, right? It's all over yer face." Vash mutters, "Nooo, I wasn't..." END ID]

i have a headcanon that toriel has a hand-washing compulsion where she does it wayy more thoroughly than needed, instinctively trying to scrub under her claws even when they're perfectly clean because she can still feel the phantom of dirt under them from the time she dug chara's grave.

Not many people talk about Strangerville in Chestnut Ridge as it brought back unpleasant happenings from the past. When Renee mentioned the place, Mel was disturbed. How did an outsider know? There's nothing about it online and even the locals have no clue. She felt like sharing what she knew with them. The more that gets out there, the more people will be informed of the strange town. "Have a safe journey back! I'm gonna remember ya folks!" Mel exclaimed, as they waved their goodbyes.

Transcript:

[Cool air from the fan hits Vincent's face as he enters the bar. He feels much better] Mel: Welcome! Call me Mel! What can I getcha folks? Vincent: Just some water please. Actually, anything cold will do.

Mel: [hears his accent] Where y'all from? It's not every day ya see visitors 'ere in Chestnut Ridge. Renee: We live in Britechester but work in the big city, San Myshuno! I'm Renee by the way and this is Vince. Mel: It's a pleasure to meet ya both. I've always wanted to visit the big city!

Mel: Ooh speakin' of! A fine, young man came in earlier too, said he got some business in San Myshuno! Vincent: What a coincidence. Who knows if we will cross paths one day [jokes around]. Did you get his name? Mel: He didn't share it! But he had a slight accent. European one? Greek? Italian? I know nothin'.

Renee: [suddenly Renee asks] Mel, can I ask…do you know about Strangerville? Mel: Darlin' ya shouldn't be talkin' bout Strangerville 'ere. Renee: Hmm? What do you mean by that?

Mel: Well ya see, a few of us know the place, not much though and not good stuff. Most of us ain't got a clue. Y'know what? I'll let yer in on somethin' [she eyes them both, careful with her words]. Hell knows what's goin' on down there, there's no news. But we've a bit of history with em.

Mel: Back in the good ol' day, they did friendly business. They came to trade or buy stuff. Horses, crops, supplies. Bits and bobs y'know? They don't come so often now, years at a time. When they do, strange folks come, dressed all in black or military attire. Sayin' they're here to get stuff. Supreme order's words.

Renee: [thinks back to the photos she took, the military, it's all real] Did you not ask who they were? Mel: If we asked too much…there were serious consequences [does a slit her throat motion then coughs, she's shared too much]. So in the end yer just get on with it, can't defy those supreme orders, can we?

PLEASE elaborate on the phoenix and franziska shenanigans during the 7yg you have NO idea how much i like them

I am someone who loved the investigative portion of Bridge to the Turnabout where Franziska had to babysit Phoenix when he wasn't allowed to follow Miles and Iris. I think when he's not her rival defense attorney and is looking particularly pathetic, she is actually pretty chill around him. She is not exempt from his aura that gets young women to imprint on him and follow him around.

She is genuinely offended on his behalf when he gets disbarred because he beat Miles and Manfred and even her! why the hell would he cheat in a case against a teenager! She does not think for a second that he forged that diary page because she knows firsthand how he throws himself into things and cannot prepare an entire evil plan for shit. However, she does not know how to convey this to him so she bullies Miles into flying him and Trucy around because Miles is almost too good at being resigned to pine sadly from a distance.

It's also important to know that she sees Phoenix being a caring father to Trucy and as someone who never really had a valid father, decided that maybe (ex) defense attorneys have rights... Even if Miles didn't get his shit together to put a ring on That Man's finger, Franziska would find herself in Phoenix's found family, it's only a matter of time.

For some reason Phoenix doesn't go to court with Edgeworth, maybe he can't stand being there while not being a lawyer, maybe he forgot he wasn't an attorney once and got kicked out for yelling out an objection, it doesn't matter, Trucy gets to be Edgeworths weirdgirl assistant and Phoenix is stuck investigating with Franziska and they are the worst people to keep each other out of trouble. We're talking about 'guy who ran across a burning bridge' and 'woman who got shot in the shoulder and still managed to get to court eventually' they are an unstoppable duo when they find something they can both get behind.

If anyone can slowly get Franziska to loosen up and learn to embrace the childhood that she lost, it would be Phoenix. I mean, this girl passed the bar at like 13 there was no way she had time to binge she-ra and check out books on drawing horses from the library. He would convince her to get a cat who hangs out in a window backpack that she can carry around during her travels because it turns out that her life is kinda lonely and she totally seems like the cat lesbian type. She is also allergic to cats so she has to get a sphinx or a devon rex or just the most gargoyle/ golbin looking creature to walk on this earth. That just seems like her vibe.

Something that's been on my mind, which affects only a very niche group of Doctor Who fans (us Doctor Rose shippers who reject the majority of canon that is) is despite there being some dozen or so major stories rewriting various seasons of DW to include Rose, most of them conveniently write out the possibly of them having children???

Now, to make things clear here I'm not about to suggest a repopulate the Earth Gallifrey type story but I think it's strange how many people seem to just reject the Doctor and Rose having kids??

I feel like there's plenty of reason to think these are characters that would eventually want some children

Of course the main reason I'm sure a lot of people don't go this route with their various Rose stays around/Rose is somewhat immortal or altered by Bad Wolf story is just because if you're rewriting canon it becomes way harder to stick to that if you have a bunch of extra tiny people to factor into things

As a coward myself I'm not sure how you would actually manage to rewrite the show like that without inadvertently benching Rose or having the kid(s) locked away in the TARDIS for the majority of the story

Anyway that's all just to say I think there's a lack of the Doctor and Rose bouncing around time and space with a bunch of little kids in the universe despite the Doctor being pretty regularly shown as being good around kids and there's really only one instance of 20 year old Rose making a couple comments about kids being annoying to support the whole "they wouldn't want kids argument"

Just imagine the longstanding storyline of the Doctor and Rose in the TARDIS with a big happy family over the span of a few centuries, I've only seen one big story play with this kind of storyline and I just think there should be more brave souls tackling this kind of story

it's supposed to be five chapters long, with three in the present and two in the past. but we'll see if this thing doesn't spiral because my brain has completely abandoned the main story for the time being in favor of constantly daydreaming about stricklander and braya (barbara) meeting for the first time at some super posh hotel in miami back in the 20's (re: this post) for the first time in order to play a married couple ruthlessly slaying the real estate development boom and just:

strickler leaning against the front desk, drumming his fingertips against the counter because he absolutely did not want to take this mission. slogging through the miami heat for who knows how long? keeping his hair on point in this humidity? faking a marriage with a junior operative? no, thank you. that all sounds awful

he's just about to say screw it to his handler and leave when a light, cheerful voice calls out, "darling! there you are. oh, how i've missed you."
