you are alive, under his fingertips. there is warmth from your cheeks his larger palms hold and he gently guides you to lift your head so that you meet his eyes.

and they sparkle. they gleam and glisten under the light of his shared home with you. curiosity and worry makes them shine even more, the chuckle upon seeing them brimming his lips and leaves him.

is this an inspection, general? your playfulness is not lost on him. he replies in kind with the same energy, how would you feel if i told you i was inspecting how beautiful you are?

the embarrassment on your face squeezes his heart. makes his heart leap and fly as if it was soaring the clouds. even now, you have the instinct to act shy. it reminds him how vivid you are; how your emotions cross every spectrum. don't flatter me like that, you pout at him. you're flattering me so i don't ask you why you're cupping my face so gently.

it was not jing yuan's intention, but he makes it his own. hmm, you know me so well, he says smoothly. leaning down, a kiss is gently placed on your forehead.

and if it was some other moment, he would pull away. but today has been rough. goodbyes were said to the friends he thought were dead and now, he is all alone.

except, he is not alone. he has you.

jing yuan? what's wrong?

the worry in your eyes has become vibrant now; curiosity vanishing and replaced by concern. your eyebrows furrow and your hand envelops one of his, turning your head to kiss his palm.

jing yuan?

he smiles. nothing, he tells you. i love you.

and then, there is relief. your worry remains but is overtaken by the relief and you look beautiful. so beautiful that he reminded that you are here, here in his arms.

i love you, too, you idiot.

disclaimer for those who come across this withotu reading my fic: this is a character analysis for yanqing in this fic. ignore canon. it holds no dominion here. thank you hoyoverse for the characters but ill take it from here. anyways, people say the fic is good, so consider reading?

anyways. IM SO EXCITED TO ANSWER THIS, forgive the long drabble youre about to read.

OK SO. first up standard YQ and JY.

YQ has been kept mostly in the dark about the sedition of IL, but he has a rough idea about what went down. in his head, it went like this: "something bad goes down and everyone abandons each other for self preservation."

this isnt... wholly right, but he's not entirely wrong either. the whole point is that YQ has only ever known the aftermath of the event---blade being angry and vengeful, JL being... herself, and then JY suffering almost constant heartache.

so, when he meets the younger JY, hes very... uncomfortable

not only is this version nothing like the general, hes also much happier. hes surrounded by people who YQ believes will one day abandon him entirely, causing him to spend the rest of his life grieving a group of people that never seemed to care for him as much in return. (note, this is how YQ sees it)

not only this, but seeing HCQ together makes him realise that he is closer to the general than any of the HCQ members were to JY---and devolves into a whole new crisis.

YQ has, for the past 10 or so years, been the general's closest confidant---his son, his only family, his apprentice and his best friend. knowing that he hasnt been able to make a dent in the grief left behind by people who don't appear to be more than his friends takes a large chunk out of YQ's self confidence, and he begins questioning how important he is to JY.

now, normally, YQ would bring this up with the general. but currently, thats not really possible. he tries, after losing to JL, but the more he talks to the younger JY, the more he starts seeing the JY he knows instead.

not only that, but the entire fact that he is in the past has YQ constantly on edge. he doesnt know if his actions will change the future he comes from, so having to watch this inevitable trainwreck forming around him without being able to help adds an extra layer of unease.

i was going to talk a bit about JL but i now realise i havent actually finished that chapter so were all just going to hafta wait for that!

I see people blaming Trump again for the Vaccines… So I put together a video compilation of Trump statements re: The Jab

Do you understand that we are in a War?

Does everyone understand that Trump is not a doctor or a virologist?

How DID YOU FEEL WHEN THE PANDEMIC BEGAN?

How many people have you known who are/have been wearing masks, got every booster?

How many friends, family members, coworkers, have you tried to redpill about these jabs but didn’t work?

What if Hillary won?

Final question— imagine if Trump DID NOT become president & said he was done fighting for our country.

How does that make you feel? Who then do you blame?

FULL STOP!

We are in a WAR for humanity.

Trump Is a wartime president. Wartime decisions are not easy. Wartime generals have to decide which decision(s) will ensure a victory & the fewest casualties.

TRUMP DID NOT MAKE THESE VACCINES! And he damn sure did not force anyone. Stop blaming him!

They wanted everything locked down for many years, until a “vaccine” could come save the day.

If Hillary won in 2016, THEY would have gotten 3 SCOTUS judges, Hundreds of federal judges.

Can you not see the damn problems we would have had if she won?

Never ending LOCKDOWNS that would have absolutely destroyed the middle class & would have suffered a catastrophic economic crisis. NO JUDICIAL HELP!

As much support & love Trump has, ALOT of people support vaccines. They STILL DO.

Trump DID try to go against the narrative when the pandemic began & he was vilified.

He wanted people to have a choice on masks & jabs, but he was villified.

He wanted life to go on & the economy to stay open, but he was villified.

He offered HCQ & other preventive treatments, ensuring we had EMERGENCY USE AUTHORIZATION, but he was vilified.

Nothing was good enough. Americans bought into the MSM BULLSHIT narrative we needed a Vaccine to feel safe to open the economy back up.

Imagine what life would be like if the economy, businesses, were STILL closed today.

Many WILL NEVER accept the truth. They won’t accept it until MSM tells them so.

HELL, people still walk around with masks, BY THEMSLEVES, because the MSM has people scarred to death.

Trying to speak common sense to Americans DID NOT WORK.

When Trump says these “vaccines” saved countless of lives, you better fucking believe he’s not talking about the jabs.

OPERATION WARPSPEED wasn’t about a vaccine. It was about giving people the confidence to open the world back up & stop CONTRIBUTING to their own fucking demise.

To avoid never ending lockdowns. To stop the collapse of America, the world.

We were slow boiling Frogs.

Trump simply turned up the heat & all of us Frogs jumped the fook out and we are pulling other frogs out every damn day.

Everyone had a choice. Trump sure isn’t making it for us.

So Blame ourselves for being asleep. Not the man who did the best he could to give us options between a rock and a hard place.
