He's very affectionate and somewhat clingy, Finn would lay with you for a while before getting you a towel or something to eat/drink.

Finn likes his arms and hands even though they're calloused or riddled with tiny scars, because they remind him that he's strong enough to protect you from many evildoers.

As for his partner's, I'd say he isn't picky but he does like any part of you he can grab a handful and squeeze when cuddling (boobs, tummy, thigh)

I already wrote like, a couple thousand words analyzing Pavia and romance, how he expresses his love and how he likes to receive affection, so apologies if I end up?? repeating myself?? I feel like I'm running out of general romance stuff to discuss when it comes to him LMFAO I did try to branch out a lil here

Pavia despises labels and refuses to "name" his relationship.

Yes, I just said I'd try to branch out and avoid repeating myself - but I feel like this point is important to put here as well, since it's pretty much Pavia's one and only "rule".

In a previous post, I talked about how the one thing that would make Pavia feel truly betrayed, even going as far as to cut you out of his life entirely, is something as simple as insisting on putting a name or label to your relationship with him.

Once become part of the pack and part of his life, you get free reign to do anything you want, your dynamic with him can be as complex or as simple as you make it out to be, and he'll follow you to hell and back - as long as you don't ever try to categorize the special bond you and Pavia share.

He's not your boyfriend, he's not your husband, he's not your fuck buddy. Nor your best friend, nor your soulmate, nor your coworker or neighbour. Don't expect him to live up to any of these titles.

He's just Pavia, and he's yours. The same way you're just yourself, and you're his. Period.

This all stems from Pavia's deep seated hatred for everything that's "proper" in society - he rejects everything they stand for, including these small boxes, these stupid names they have that could never even begin to describe the depths of his feelings and relationship with you. They can't apply to what you two have. Why even bother trying to get the world to understand by telling them he's "your boyfriend"? He's so much more than that, and you're so much more than just his "partner" - it's almost an insult to him.

As far as Pavia is concerned, the world consists of him and his partner and the pack. He's not someone who'd bother trying to justify, let alone explain, his existence and experiences to others. Why start now?

You're also shit out of luck if you think you can drag him to the altar, get him to propose or do whatever "proper" partners do. Instead, he prefers things that are unique to this relationship and that are privy only to the two of you. To find and create little traditions with you that feel just right, whatever they may be.

This also applies on reverse, too. There is never any pressure from Pavia for you to live up to some stupid, nonsensical and unspoken standard for couples - such as doing something special for anniversaries, holidays like Valentine's Day, remember his birthday or whatever else. You two get to decide which days are important, thank you very much! And if he wants something, he'll simply ask for it, it's as easy as that.

Being in a relationship with Pavia can be quite intense at times because of the way he's wired, but at the same time it's a breeze of fresh air because he quite literally frees you from all the extra baggage of typical relationships.

On the subject of Pavia and possessiveness.

Because of how territorial he is with his material possessions, people expect Pavia to be the exact same with you. I'd say it depends on the day?

Overall, Pavia is extremely confident, both in himself and in this relationship. You're the only person he sees as a true equal, so his trust in you is unwavering. And because of the unorthodox nature of this relationship, it's established pretty early on that he doesn't care what you do with other people - as long as it doesn't affect your dynamic with him, he really couldn't care less.

He's had his own share of flings and one-night stands prior to meeting you, all of them devoid of any meaning, importance or emotional weight. So he gets it, sometimes you wanna fuck around. Doesn't mean you care about him any less. If you allowed some small fry to get between the two of you, you wouldn't have lasted as his partner. Easy. And he trusts that you'll seek him out if you ever have any trouble dealing with suitors and whatnot. Pavia is always down to bury a body with you, it builds character!

If you ever see Pavia act possessive in public, trying to throw hands with anyone who looks at you and making a point of showing that you're both taken, it's because he knows you're into it. He knows you like the back of his hand, if you're into the scary dog privileges that come along with being with him, he'll know. Ohhh, he'll know and he'll be so obnoxious about it.

There's not a single person in this world that could ever make him feel threatened enough to do all of this on impulse. It's a little act, he loves to show off for you and do things with you in mind.

On the other hand, that could also just be Pavia being his casually affectionate self, not caring at all about his surroundings. If he feels like having you sit on his lap, he'll just pull you there. If he feels like sitting on your lap, he'll just do that.

Who cares who's watching? If people wanna take it as him being possessive, that's their issue. He just wants to be near you. If anyone has any problem, the complaint box is right there. They can die mad about it, seethe, etc.

The pack will start obeying and listening to you. They live in your shadow, as much as they live in Pavia's.

Because the wolves come from his arcane skills, they're attuned to Pavia. And because Pavia is so attuned to you and vice versa, the wolves will inevitably start treating you the same way they treat him.

I like to think this is the closest thing to Pavia "imprinting" on you, to draw more parallels to his animalistic side - no matter where you are, there's a part of him with you: the pack. They'll jump out should you feel in danger or lonely whenever he's not around, and also serve as a way for him to keep track of where you are, just in case. If he ever gets too injured to crawl home back to you, one of the wolves will drag you to his location instead, though this is extremely rare.

If you travel too far away from Pavia, this whole thing will stop working. And you'll know it because it'll feel like a part of you is suddenly gone - just a very small part, enough to make you feel suddenly weird, like you put on your shoes on the wrong feet in the morning.

I don't think anyone could ever reach the same level of connection Pavia has with the pack, that's a whole different can of worms. Yet another inexplicable dynamic. The furthest you could go is understanding how Pavia can tell them all apart, which is when they'll start to properly obey you.

Biting as a show of affection.

I did talk about this in a different post, but then I remembered this one post about how Pavia would get your bite marks tattooed and I started losing my mind over it again.

Instead of kisses, Pavia has the tendency to bite and nibble on you. Your shoulder, your neck, your ears, your nose... Anything he can get his teeth on. If he's particularly playful, he just takes a big bite of your cheek or straight up licks your cheek to piss you off.

I like to think Pavia is the type of person who leads with his mouth first and foremost - he's loud when he speaks, he's all bark and all bite, he has no problem baring his teeth at the world, he points at things with his lips, sticks his tongue out when focusing on something, he chews on lollypop sticks until they end up soggy and fucked up, he gets so riled up when you kiss him and your tongue brushes or traces his teeth.

And he can't get enough of having you fill his thoughts, heart and mouth. The guy has so much aggressive affection for you, it's almost unbearable. If he could, he would eat you up on the spot. You're his personal chew toy, his silly rabbit, the one person that drives him up the wall.

Sometimes, he gets distracted and goes too far, it's pretty easy for his sharp canines to draw blood - he'll apologize and make up for it by lapping it up and kissing you better all over. And by reminding you that you're free to bite him as hard as you can, anytime you want, as payback! Though you suspect it's more of a reward than a punishment for him.

If you give him the chance, Pavia would love to get your bite marks tattooed anywhere you want - pick a spot and start biting, don't be shy! Any scars you leave on his body for whatever reason, he'd love to make them permanent and visible.

brief immediate mota finale thoughts

Literally every scene involving Rosie was gold. Not just because Nate Mann has consistently knocked it out of the park, but I think he's just had the most incredible arc. This whole series could have been about Rosie Rosenthal specifically and I think barely scratch the surface of how interesting and incredible this man was. Rosie's great character trait is his empathy and righteousness. There was a moment I found mildly chilling, which is where, after having witnessed the atrocities, Rosie gets a line that does step on that line where righteousness turns into zealotry and it's *understandable*, and it's a great counterpoint to Harry's worry about what the war has turned him into. Like, I feel that whole moment is quite ambiguous about where we all fall and tbh I adored it. The writing was great, the intimacy was great and Anthony Boyle and Nate Mann were just absolutely just showing us all how it's done. Both of those boys need accolades for this.

Buck/Bucky broke my heart over and over again. The return of the lucky deuce (that teary face)! Buck telling Bucky with his words that he was glad to have him there these years. Flying home. Austin Butler's face journey when he hears Bucky's voice over the radio. Same buddy, you should have seen me sitting here like CALLUM? I KNOW THOSE VOWELS. THAT'S CALLUM TURNER. You heard me the first time, Gale.

KENNY IN THE PLANE. LOVE THAT FOR ME. Raff Law's perfect little face of awe. I did actually like as well that he fixed up all these planes constantly as instruments of war, with every repair he made representative of danger, injury and death, and then he got to ride in one for the very first time and it's a mission of help. Ken has just been such a quiet joy of a presence throughout. I thought it was lovely to give him the moment with the kids at the end, listening to the radio too. This baby boy of the company was fully older brother. God. I think Ken Lemmons might be my favourite character of all. If I can ever get my hands on good quality vids, I'm making so many gifs. PLEASE GOD LET ME FIND THE BOOK ABOUT HIM.

I do think the Tuskegee airmen were short-changed, I was really hoping for some meatier stuff for them this episode. I understand why they weren't the focus - the focus is on exactly four characters - but I do think a few more scenes wouldn't have gone amiss. I adored the Jefferson/Cleven scene of last episode. Did love the quiet background Macon/DeMarco friendship though.

I mentioned Anthony Boyle earlier, but again, there was some fantastic Croz stuff here. His physicality has changed so much over the course of this show, it's so good.

There's no let up in the horror, but I think a really good blend of that and the catharsis and the celebration. MotA has suffered from pacing problems throughout, and a bit here too, but overall I thought it was balanced and the visual colour returning towards the end. Gorgeous.

If I was Gale Cleven's wife of 51 fucking years I'd be pissed as hell to not even be mentioned in his title card. Jesus Christ. It's fine to have that narrative in the show but I found it very disrespectful, like Marge was his one and only true love? There was room to acknowledge both loves.

Beach day

Zoe's POV

Double-check everything yet again to make sure we have all the necessities. I literally have no faith in myself when it comes to packing. It's ridiculous at this point. I look at the time, "O, shit. Baby, do you have all the snacks and stuff. That was your job, remember." I yelled out of our bedroom door. I hurry and run back in the room, grabbing our bags and then feeling around for our phones. Sad truth is my girlfriend loses her fucking phone all the time, I have to keep track of it for her. "I think I have everything unless you added something to the list last minute that I don't know about." Redy tells me.

I can already hear the smirk on her face when saying that. I got girlfriend intuition, yall. I don't need to see her face to know what she talks smack in there. I ran back in the room, realizing I had forgotten my sandels. "I see we throwing shade now. Don't make me have to come in there and fix that face for you. It won't be pretty, babe." Now all I hear is silence. Good, she in there think she slick, throwing shots.

Walking into the kitchen, I see her, my beautiful girlfriend. Is she really still packing these snacks after she just told me that we're all set and ready to go. "Wow, so we just lying for free now. Like that ain't even something you got to lie about, Soobin." She looks at me shocked, sitting there with her mouth wide open and stops packing the snacks. Great, now we are going to be even more late.

Redy's POV

I turn around and drop the snacks on the counter. Just to stare at her and she looks at my face and starts laughing. "First, it's never that serious to use my government name. Second, I'm glad you think that's funny. You can be the one to explain to Lia unnie why we were late." She immediately stops laughing. I go back to packing the snacks with Zoe clingy on to my back, trying to get me to change my mind. "Baby, I was just playing like it was a joke. I mean, like total reference vibes, you get it. Like Bada said it, and I mean I'm your girlfriend, so I'm allowed to say it more than she is." I turned around from the bag that I had finished packing during her little run but let her keep going because it's funny. I mean, she is weirdly scared of my leader for some reason.

Lia Kim can be intimidating, well kinda I think. But overall, she is just your average kind-hearted soul. "Baby, I didn't vibe with her when she said it. Plus, it's like an unspoken rule in our relationship. You don't call me but my government I don't call yours. For example, my names for you consist of baby, jagiya, and babe. And your names for me are babe, lovely and my heart. Now tell me where in that you hear anything about a Soobin?" I told her with a straight face.

Zoe's POV

I look at her straight face and lean in to kiss her lips. I mean, I got to get on the tip takes I'd you know what I mean but achieve it. It's crazy. When I watched SWF2, if I didn't already know my baby, I would've really, and I thought we were close in height. Like Bada made her like like one of those smurfs. But she is 5'6 and sadly, Mama gave a girl some ass instead of height, so I'm sitting here at 5'1. Eventually, I realized I spaced out, and Redy had already taken the bags to the car. She hasn't come back, so I get that's her way I saying she is waiting in the car and I have to lock the door. "Typical, I'm dating a child", I had to look around the room and make she wasn't still in here because I don't need her knowing I'm throwing shade after telling her to stop throwing shade.

I make my way to the car to see her there smiling with one hand on the steering wheel and the other in the air. "This hand ain't getting any younger. It needs to be in its rightful spot." I start to jog to the car and open the passenger door and sit down. "You are so dramatic. See you happy now?" I said while placing her hand down on my thigh and locking our fingers together. She just smilies and starts to drive.

See, the girls of 1 million thought it would be a good idea while they are on a little break to go to Jeju Island. I, of course, agreed before Redy could argue her way out of wanting to lay down at home instead. She has been working so hard, and I know she needs this. Even though she refuses to admit it, a relaxtion day with her favorite girl will be like happiness to her. We got to Jeju yesterday and have been staying in a villa near the beach area, so it's just a little ride over.

Kinda didn't wanna go at first because of Lia Kim. Now I'm not saying there is anything wrong with her. Or bad blood between us because we barely know each other, to be honest. I've only met her a couple of times, all during celebrations that the studio has decided to throw. When I first got to Korea, I had no one. When I started dating Redy, she introduced me to all her friends with her being a extrovert the list was huge. But, I love that about her. She tried her very best and still does to include me even when she doesn't have to. Lia just gave off that reserved don't fuck with me vibe. I didn't say anything about it because that's my girlfriends boss, who she looks up to very much. Though, I feel like she is just scooping me put trying to make sure I'm all for Redy. Like, duh I am I fucking love this girl.

We pull up to the beach, and I can already see Harimu and Amy chasing each other. Their energy is crazy. I'm not built for all that. Redy gets out and grabs the bags. I try to take them from her but she side eyes me. "The fuck", I yell out as she runs away to the group. I make it around everyone and start saying my hellos and bowing, especially to Ms. Kim, she ain't gonna catch me slipping. Redy jumps up and starts playing tag with Amy, and then a couple of other members get up to join in the fun. For someone who didn't wanna go in the first place, she is very much not acting like it. "Zoe is literally burning out here. Take off your coat." I finally her Debby speaks up to me.

That's right. I forgot I had this on. "Yea, I sometimes forgot, since I live in my goodies pretty much qll the time". I move to take off my coat, revealing my camisole top. Causing whistles and shouts to come from the girls. "Look at you," Lia finally says to me. Omg that's good she is complenting me. That'd like 33 scored points. Maybe she is cool with me.

Redy's POV

I turn around when I hear Harimu screaming like always, and she zoe taking off her hoodie. I didn't really see what was so interesting until I saw the shirt she was wearing. That fucking sinful shirt. It shows every lesbians dreams in one. The sad part is that my precious baby isn't aware of the effect she has on people. I have to constantly fight bitches off, because of her. I make my way over to the group when I see Lia unnie starting to grill some meat for everyone. Only to see Debby just staring at Zoe's chest. Now I know when it comes down to it, she wouldn't leave me, nor would I. And she wouldn't cheat, so I fully trust her, but looking that dammm good in front of Debby of all people yea, I gotta step in. "Oo, we are about to eat finally." Everyone starts to laugh at me while Unnie points a finger at me playfully. I look at Zoe and push a curl behind her face, and notice she did her edges before she got here. Meaning she had no intentions of getting in the water. She looks up and me and smiles.

God, I know the smile is innocent, but she looks so good right now it's so hard not to kiss her, so I do. I lean it with her, thinking I'm simply pecking her lips and trying to move. I grab the back of her neck and pull her towards me to deepen the kiss. She is startled at first, most likely shy with everyone around, but quickly forgets about them and keeps kissing me. I finish the kiss, and she sits there. He looks all dazed and out of breath and then kisses her forehead. "Oo yess, get it girl", Amy is literally yelling from her spot by the grill while looking at us.

rgg game osts ranked Yeah.................

LONG ASS POST AHEAD!!!!!! BAH!!!!!!!!!!!

for context awhile back a yakuza discord server i'm in had a music discussion thread open up and we were invited to make simple little tier lists for the game osts to start it off. it was supposed to be just the tier list but i eventually spiraled into a whole ramble. whoops. so i might as well just paste it here with a few additions so the rest of you can see it yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!

will be providing my reasonings and then my highlight tracks. i'm gonna provide convenient youtube links to all the songs mentioned so if you wanna check one of them out feel free to just click the hyperlink

and yes this is ordered in tiers. the personal highlights aren't though

>Yakuza 5 is my personal top 1 OST overall, but it's seriously close. I can't tell you enough how much of a nut I am for this series and its music. Yakuza 5's ost is, in my eyes, the most consistently hard-hitting amongst all of RGG's catalogue. The street fight themes are all amazing, the boss fight themes hit hard and pump you the hell up, and this also has the one of the best B-sides out of all of them, with stuff like Baka Mitai (fun fact, Saejima's is actually considered the original version, Kiryu's "Taxi Driver Edition" actually uses a different key to fit Kuroda's voice), the songs from Haruka's section, and even the jazzy bar themes. 5 hits that perfect balance of quantity and quality, and also happens to fill like half of my workout playlist.

>I am such a sucker for Yakuza 4's music direction. As Tehsnakerer said in his Yakuza 4 video, this is the first truly GREAT soundtrack, and I'd have to agree. The jazzier style of music on showcase here fits this series- and this entry ESPECIALLY- like a glove. This is such a quality collection of sounds. Featuring the best panic themes, the best chase themes, and some iconic street battle themes. 4's direction makes it stand out even more amongst RGG's catalogue, and I couldn't be happier about it. Also, this game gave us Machine Gun Kiss and Pure Love in Kamurocho, which are two of my favorite karaoke tracks in the whole series.

Please bring back Pure Love in Kamurocho for a modern title, RGG. I'm begging you.

They handle it perfectly here, with tracks that grab you by the throat like K.O.G. and Dig In Your Heels, utilizing the electric sound with effortless grace, while still having enough variety throughout to keep it from getting stale. I also found the B-sides here surprisingly strong alongside the main game, with the school stories giving us a nice variety of music to work with. The boxing ones and Toward To The Skyline are what I'd highlight in that selection.

>Gaiden oh my gah......... Despite the shorter game, I seriously dig the tracks on display here. It's so consistently amazing, and does a great job of servicing both the legacy of Kiryu, and giving us some Good Shit™️ for the newer faces. This is also when I really came to appreciate the cutscene tracks: Wounded Beast is such a kickass track that you'd be forgiven for thinking it plays in an actual fight, and Psycho's Prelude is an amazing hype-up track for an even more amazing boss theme. Also worth mentioning there's like a gajillion coliseum tracks in this one. Have no idea why but y'know I appreciate it. It's cool.

The rest of the tracks are decent too ig 🙄 There are a few sort of those "eh whatever cool skip it" tracks in here which hold it back a teeny bit in my eyes, but this is still a really solid collection overall, and also gets props for being Kiwami's soundtrack if it was good. I'm kidding of course but 0 handles it pretty well for the most part. I find 0 is at its best music-wise when they either go all-in with the techno, or shy away from it almost entirely.

>Yakuza 6 has Lots of Lights so it automati I think 6 does a really good job at telling a story through its music. You have tragedy being painted in Fist Law and DESTINY, you have sheer anger and brutality being portrayed in Body and Soul, and you can even find it in the street themes with the feeling of "I am completely done with all of this bullshit" in KAMURO again. I also wanna say this has some of ZENTA's best work, which I really really REALLY appreciate.

>Like a Dragon (/7) is another heavily techno leaning OST. If you asked me about it a few months ago, I probably would have put this higher. But now with IW out, I've started to see more of 7's OST's flaws. There are few tracks that are either weirdly low-energy, or feel a little generic and mesh together with the rest of the soundtrack, or at worst, both. But 7 still has quite the number of solid tracks, and those that stand out REALLY stand out. Shoutout to one of the most unique long battle tracks in Enter the Tiger.

>Yakuza 3 acts as a sort of bridge between the rough, almost grunge-like sound of the PS2 era and the cleaner compositions of later entries. And I think it does both of those styles pretty well! It also starts to experiment with electric sound a little more, while still keeping the heavy guitars 1+2 are known for. The best are obviously composed of the tracks that do both. They even keep the unintelligible English lyrics in some tracks, what's not to love?

>Atmosphere is a large part of the PS2 era of Yakuza games' identity, and the music is a pretty large part of that. Yakuza 2 has an aggressive, grungy sound that pairs perfectly with the brutality of the game. You'll find some of the most of the most rough sounding songs in RGG's catalogue in here, and it's just so good in a way that isn't really replicated in the more modern entries. Also one of the tracks (Block Head Boy) samples Wu-Tang for some reason and I find that very funny.

The best remixes here are the ones that touch up and make completely sure that what the original has is intact: Lullaby of Outlaws and A Scattered, Eternal Moment are both fantastic in that regard. This also has a decent chunk of completely new tracks, presumably because they couldn't get certain composers back. You have stuff like the amazing triple-part track that plays in the Kamurocho Hills segment, Rebellious Phase which is decent, and the randomly amazing Break Off. Still a crime Evil Itself was snubbed like that smh.

>Unfortunately, like with most aspects, Yakuza 2 does everything the first game did better. Still though, some quality tracks here. Yakuza 1 doesn't have too much to work with, but it still does utilize its few track slots well. From long-standing iconic tracks like Receive You, to Funk Goes On, and even the off B-side tracks like Singin' Bass, there really isn't a miss in here, just moreso a lack of super standout tracks. There's still quite a few to love despite that, of course.

>kiwami 1 ost snorkkkkkk mimimimimimimim snorkkkkkk mimim Alright I'm exaggerating, but I still think it's pretty weak in comparison to the rest. There's a lot of tracks that just feel kinda butchered to me? And it's not like the new tracks are particularly standout or anything. The tracks that do work are genuinely really good: Ideal For Violence is uhhhh perfect, Get Over It is a really strong long battle theme, Pray Me ~Revive~ is on par, if not arguably better than the original, and For Whose Sake Kiwami matches the sorrow of the original pretty well. But then you have stuff like Funk Goes On 極 which feels weirdly weak, Receive You the madtype which feels sorely outclassed by like, every single other Majima Receive You, and what would be arguably the strongest track, Receive You Reborn, doesn't even show up outside of Japanese versions. Kiwami isn't all bad, hell, there are some really good standouts here, but it just can't really compare to the rest in my eyes.

The cutscene tracks, the generic battle themes, the boss themes, the B-sides, they're all so excellent. This inadvertently made 7's OST worse for me because of how much better it handles the techno.

As you said you're open to questions, and I've never seen a "needs space" leash before - is there like, an accepted universal response/behaviour around a dog with such a thing? Like, I know not to bother service dogs, and to respect a therapy dog needing personal space after they're done providing therapy, that sort of thing, and in like, a big park I'd just keep going on my path/sitting where I am/whatevs and trust them and their human to handle the situation as they see fit, because there is the space for them to do so, but what if, say, one is coming towards me on the sidewalk, and thus the space is limited? Should I still continue as normal, or try to provide more space on purpose, maybe by walking closer to the side the dog isn't so their human can be a barrier?

I love my boy, so I'm going to intersperse some of my favorite pictures of him throughout this.

The day he came home vs a year later.

So, Aengus is fear reactive and incredibly anxious around people and animals he doesn't know -- sort of an automatic "I think these people are a danger to me and my human" thought process that means he does great big boofs, and sometimes will lunge at anyone who gets too close.

He was, unfortunately, already traumatized by the time he came to me -- he'd been anemic, stung by wasps, his poor little paws were rubbed raw from walking on hot concrete, and he was terrified of people.

"Too close," for him, generally means within 10 feet, for people he doesn't know well.

I can usually keep him focused on our walks or a specific task ("sit" and "wait" are both ones he's gotten pretty good at) when just passing by people, provided that they ignore us (unless they also have a dog, and then it's, "okay, time to detour to get home faster and without an interaction").

In an ideal world, I would have the money to get him the behavioral training I know he needs, and the supervised socialization time with other dogs I wish he had. I want it for him so much, but... yeah. I lack the money for someone who knows what they're doing, and I'm too disabled to try and DIY it on a consistent enough basis to be beneficial to him. So we muddle through as best we can.

He's my baby, and I love him so so much

When I take him out, the ideal behavior from people in the distance who see the "Needs Space" tag on his leash is that they will simply ignore us. Feel free to privately coo over how adorable he is, and even a friendly wave is fine from a distance. I love seeing people see him and have the "!!!!! I saw a dog!!!!" moment. It makes me very happy!!!

But, in the situation of crossing paths, yes, making it so that the owner is between you and the dog is the best choice. Personally, as the person responsible for my dog, I will usually do that immediately when I see someone coming our direction, and keep the leash tight and him close to me for both their safety and his. But sometimes folks will just see DOG and their self-preservation instinct shuts down with a quickness.

I can't tell you the number of times I've had children old enough to have been taught better just run up to us, completely unbothered by the fact that he is trying to protect me with his big ol' boofs of "get the fuck away" because Oh Cute Dog Trumps Animal Safety. I have to be like, "He's not friendly, sorry sorry sorry" and cut short our morning walks a million times. Which isn't fair to either of us.

he loves rough-housing so much and he makes the best honking sounds

The handful of times I've taken him to one of the local walking paths, I have him sit on the side of the trail, holding him tight in a sit+wait, and having him wait until the other person has passed us. Sometimes, he's very good and not at all interested in the other person. Sometimes, it's more of a fight to keep him distracted.

So, I guess my overall advice is:

"Be aware of the potentially dangerous animal in your immediate vicinity, maintain reasonable and available distance, and take your cues from the owner. Prioritize your own safety, and that of the animal."

Something I wish more people used to inform their behavior around strange dogs -- but admittedly, my dog in particular, is that if someone (or more likely, in my neighborhood, their unleashed and uncontrolled dog 😡) just runs up on Aengus, and he freaks out and bites them, he's the one that dies.

I ask him, "Where's your baby?" and he brings me his lamb-chop. (This toy has since disintegrated, and I haven't been able to replace it, unfortunately.)

So thank you so, so much for asking about this.

Don't get me wrong -- I don't want people to be afraid of my dog; he's a big ol doofus that trips over his own very long legs and sleeps with stuffies.

He learned how to throw his toys at me, and now he refuses to hand them to me when we play fetch -- he just lobs them at me from his mouth. He pounces on his toys like an arctic fox jumps into snow, and sometimes he sleeps like an AT-AT.

See?

But every dog has the capacity to be dangerous, and I wish people would spend more time asking these questions so I can give them the answers that keep them and reactive dogs safe.

Succession (Episode 1.01 to 2.04) Wasn't sure I was going to like this (every single character is just awful) but now I'm keen to see how these awful people are increasingly awful to each other. So far I'm really appreciating every shot that shows the staff and just the sheer number of people responsible for making the lives of these awful people as low-friction as possible. We 100% need to tax the rich more.

Delicious In Dungeon (Episode 1.05 to 1.08) Now having seen more episodes, the shifting animation styles feels more consistent overall and I love the frenetic style during the high-stress/combat scenes. If you like this show then know it's a near 1:1 with the manga but still worth reading.

How To Watch Football: 52 Rules for Understanding the Beautiful Game, On and Off the Pitch by Tifo (Complete) So I actually read this over the course of a month or two. I'd read a rule or two, process, then read a couple more a day or two later. I don't even really watch football but this helped so much and now I expect I'll crush the fantasy premier league I'm in.

The Big Four by Agatha Christie (Complete) Only my second Christie novel and this felt SO different. Turns out that's because it really is an outlier amongst her other works. So that was reassuring. Not terrible but I wouldn't exactly recommend it as it felt thoroughly disjointed (a result of stitching together a series of unrelated short stories).

The Last Continent by Terry Pratchett (Complete) Hey I love the Discworld series. You know this. I know this. But there's always gotta be an entry that goes on the bottom of any list. I love Rincewind, but prefer the other wizards in a less prominent role. Not one I'd recommend when trying to get into the series and probably not one I'll revisit. Oh well.

Catwoman: Lonely City by Cliff Chiang (Complete) Big fan of Chiang's artistry on Paper Girls and really enjoyed this interpretation of an aging Gotham. It has such a clear and singular voice it covers so much in just four chapters! Really great read.

Silver Surfer: Black by Donny Cates, Tradd Moore, and Dave Stewart (Complete) Every time I read this I love it more and more. It's truly what I pictured comics to be when I was a kid: vibrant, dramatic, and a little bonkers. Why does the villain ride a dragon? WHO CARES it looks cool. I love it all.

Delicious in Dungeon Vol. 4 by Ryoko Kui (Complete) Watching the series and rereading the manga is really making for a great experience. This volume really highlighted that Senshi isn't a man with all the answers. In the upper levels of the dungeon, he's competent, but as they go deeper and face more dangerous monsters, the rest of the party take more of the lead. It's so good. This series is so good.

Wolves of Glendale by Wolves of Glendale (2024) Comedy music is always tricky but for me, the comedy is second. If I don't enjoy the music having no understanding of the lyrics then I probably won't stick with it. Some tracks strike this balance better than others but I found The Gym to be a good introductory track.

……….GAMING……….

Disco Elysium (ZA/UM) On one hand, I tend to prefer more...active games. Something that requires hitting buttons at the right time. On the other hand, I'm really digging the mystery and complexity of the game. It really feels like I can play this detective however I want without being forced to follow any one playstyle. Not sure how far into it I am but I read the review that it's less a detective game and more a game about being a detective and that really feels right. But I do have to say that it's...rather buggy on the Switch so that might not be the recommended way to play it.

Neverland: A Fantasy Role-Playing Setting (Andrews McMeel Publishing) The Tuesday crew is working towards ridding the island of a competing group of adventurers. Hook wants them gone, the Gnomes want them gone, heck even the Moss Mother wants them gone. But will they be able to do it? And the more lengthy recap is over here.

Oz: A Fantasy Role-Playing Setting (Andrews McMeel Publishing) The Mof1 D&D crew found a (literal) underground magic item shop so did a bunch of shopping after their big funeral heist. Everyone loves a good shopping session!

Nick here. To throw my hat into this non existent ring, I vastly prefer Sonic Adventure 1 to SA2Battle to the point that 2's Chao Garden is the only reason I keep SA2B installed on my computer. Like SA1 (especially SADX and its various ports) has issues of its own ("IwonderwhathappenedtoSonic?" anyone?) but overall, I find it to be the better game story and gameplay wise.

SA1 is one of my favourite games in the series, and tied with Generations as my favourite of the 3D games, despite my thoughts on the deliberate nature of the Classic to Modern transition being unwise in hindsight due to the divide it created compared to a more seamless transition.

SA2... is not. When comparing the two, I feel that for every step forward SA2 makes, it takes two steps backwards as well. One example being that the six playstyles have been narrowed down to three... but the execution means there's also a lot less Sonic-style gameplay.

A lot of it comes down to preference. I prefer SA1's story despite its own share of flaws, and not just because Eggman is actually the man with the plan until the end as opposed to being strung along throughout the game by someone else's scheme, and although not perfectly executed, its attempt at the Rashomon style of narrative is probably the most balanced out of all the 3D games that attempted it. Chaos is best monster. I don't mind most of the gameplay styles in this one, though I'd probably make Amy a little faster: Big's fishing is the main exception, but even his story can at least be done very quickly if you know what you're doing. Sonic's levels are more uniquely designed in SA1 on the whole than those of SA2. Soundtrack is S-tier. So many little secrets and other points of interest that you're not even required to find. Gamma says a funny with "MODE CHANGE".

And as petty as this may be... it's no secret that I love a good aesthetic, and SA1 is filled with them, complete with those amazing Spyro-tier skyboxes.

They're like the Dude's rug: it completes the room.

To be fair, SA2 does have its own eye-pleasing levels, like Cannon's Core, the outside A.R.K. levels like Final Rush and Meteor Herd, the pyramid levels... but the amount of grey hallways and the like make it a less consistent package in that field compared to SA1.

One more thing: SA1 has the Egg Viper explosion scene. I love that moment, music stopping come the last hit and everything.

First 3 eps of Solo Leveling thoughts! From someone who has never read it!

For my tastes, the first two episodes were pretty jarring. Blood isn't a huge deal to me, but watching someone suffer that intensely wasn't fun. I do appreciate it for the storytelling though! Elsewise, let me tackle this chronologically henceforth.

Everyone loves an underdog story, and I think the "isekai"/adjacent category needs more of it! Sure, they can start out pretty lowly, but their special skill spikes up their usefulness unnaturally so. Of course, I'm sure that will happen anyway, but I'm at least satisfied that it isn't a pure isekai in that the show has taken a GATE approach. All in all, the dungeon gate dynamic is pretty neat to me -- really reminds me of mmorpgs.

The fact that these characters are from a modern world looks more interesting to me than arbitrarily requiring a death from a previous life to get to the fantasy world. Getting to have a full life's worth of information then relatively starting over somewhere else without the same technological advancements makes the protagonist able to just.. "invent" them there, drastically boosting their overall status for no real effort of their own.

Back to it though, a character being known as The Weakest is a compelling enough beginning to me. Of course, there has to be some amount of concrete scaling, so the rankings were inevitable. The precedent of an inability to change your base power-level was of course gonna be a part of the story. (I will say, the "second awakening" gimmick already feels a little suspicious/dull to me, but we'll see how it's handled.)

The fact that the token weak girl healer character is actually not all that weak of a healer just really doesn't like the job much and only does it out of necessity was a great angle imo. Just like the average mmo, nobody wants to play support, and for someone who didn't even want to play the game, having that responsibility sounds tough to argue with. Using the kind of trauma she ended up with as a fridging method didn't bother me at all. That's a very reasonable reaction!

Though the protagonist looks like he's going to have a pretty generic story given the title, I do also like that he doesn't have a history of gaming. Nearly every protagonist is a NEET or gamer otherwise, but he had to ask his sister. He gets the hang of it, which is to be expected, but he has to ask her what to look for initially. That just furthered the narrative that he's had to work extra hard this whole time so she could live a peaceful and average life. I appreciate that kind of consistency and detail!

Okay, I've finished Doom at Your Service and I will definitely gush about how much I love it but first I need to provide a slightly unhinged, subjective rant about this show reminding me why I hate love triangles.

Roughly 30-40% of DAYS revolves around a love triangle between Dong-Kyung's best friend and writer Na Ji-na, chief editor Cha Joo-ik, and Ji-na's high school lover/Joo-ik's roommate Lee Hyun-gu. One thing I will say is that I like or at least don't mind these characters. Ji-na has a fun personality and is great when she's with anyone other than the two guys, Hyun-gu has a pretty sweet bond with Seon-Kyung, and while I'm not the biggest Joo-ik fan (sorry, the stoic, dry humor types don't usually do it for me), he has his moments and I like his interactions with Dong-Kyung because she balances him out well, adding life and humor to their conversations.

My issues start with the love-triangle's premise itself. I get the story went with the "first love hits different" concept but Ji-na not getting over someone from high school to the extent that she'd design every single male character she writes after him, use his name as her penname, and actively pine hopelessly 10+ years later is really unbelievable to me. I'd be willing to suspend my disbelief if there was depth added to their relationship but all we're shown is a single scene of Ji-na stopping in a hallway and feeling a bit of infatuation that tells her he's the one. And in the present, literally zero time is spent addressing why Ji-na likes either of them or why they like her. This is somewhat helpful since it proves why she's incompatible with Hyun-gu but was sorely needed to describe why Joo-ik liked her because maybe I missed something but he seemed annoyed with or just tolerant of her for a large part of the runtime. They did have a decent conversation in episode 16 so I guess there's that.

Also, all three characters are at their worst when interacting with each other. The feisty, assertive Ji-na we know when she talks to the Tak's is a fumbling mess or at least very subdued when running into either of the guys. At first I felt a little bad for Hyun-gu being consistently hammered by everyone including his roommate/best-friend of 10 years for the cardinal sin of ghosting (I get that it was a horrible thing to do and that an apology was needed but he was young and dumb and again, it happened years ago) but he totally lost any sympathy from me with his epic confession that boiled down to: "even if you like someone else, date me, since I liked you first." Granted, this has to be a deliberate choice to illustrate that he's still a kid in serious need of growth but ughhh.

And Cha Joo-Ik comes off as manipulative and superior when he decides that Ji-na and Hyun-gu should not be together (which, fair) and prevents them from meeting and lying to both, effectively taking choices right out of Ji-na's hands (not fair). And unlike Hyun-gu, he never gets called out on this. Also, why was kissing Ji-na out of pity (a random girl he just met) the only option to console her over like, I don't know, talking to her or getting one of her friends?

The complex relationship between Hyun-Gu and Joo-Ik was by far the highlight of this whole debacle (they should have just gotten together instead) and I wished more time was spent on it because Hyun-gu's growth towards accepting responsibility for his flaws was impactful and the whole "graduation" concept would probably have been more effective if given context to their tutor/mentee bond. That one scene where Hyun-gu asks Joo-ik to stay in touch only to get told that was impossible for the time being was kind of sad because it's disappointing a 10-year friendship is dissolved that quickly. But it's also not surprising since Joo-ik seemed to resent liking him lmao. The end of that conversation and the affection shown was cute though.

Overall, the love triangle just cycles around with Ji-Na barely being allowed to make a choice between the two guys fighting over her (with them consistently saying things like "I need to take what's yours", it really felt like they were more invested in whatever the hell was going on between them vs actually liking Ji-na or even considering her as a person) and others just conveniently informing her that she likes Joo-ik. The penultimate episode where Dong-Kyung urges both Joo-ik and Ji-na to get together quickly (done so out of her personal experiences but still) instead of telling Ji-Na to focus on herself feels like someone took a cheese grader to my nerves.

I did, however, love the conclusion to Ji-na and Hyun-gu's relationship and the closure it provided. I thought their acceptance of the breakup and decision to move on from each other was really beautiful cinematically, acted out very well, and also had a serene melancholic feel that I enjoyed. Honestly, if they just focused on the two falling out of love and ended it there, I probably wouldn't have minded the subplot that much.

Okay, glad that's out of my system now. The funny part is that that I don't even care about this that much but that doesn't mean I won't write an essay on it.

Trigun Stampede Episode 1: Exceeding Expectations

I had hopes, I had abnormally high hopes. I was banking on Orange delivering, expecting some quality work. But this, this is another level. It's a love letter to the 3d medium in anime, and proof that within it exists the ability to deliver, action, acting, emotion, and far more. It's not just the inferior little brother to 2d animation, not just the stopgap for when there's not enough time or manpower for 2d, and Trigun Stampede proves this all within a single episode.

Art that meshes with the medium impeccably, both as background and focus is a huge proponent of it. It still has that "polished" look to it, but it's not something that sticks out. Everything is done to bring it together. And the aspect that I feel serves to get the most out of this cohesive effort is the visual effects. The overall look of them is absolutely incredible, there's zero room for critique on their quality, and they fit the episode perfectly.

In contrast to this though, the area that I think sees the most prolific improvement is the character acting. It's so ridiculously good, fluid, and expressive that it provides a better showing of creativity and movement than the majority of anime this season. Just look at this movement. It's not sluggish, it's not linear or abrupt. It has so much life in it.

Hell, they even play around with the character models in their expressions. They aren't overly rigid in their looks, and Orange is more than willing to mess with them to get the desired effect and feel.

The expressiveness is really just out of this world, and is still in part owed to the effort of the voice actors. I may be a massive critic of Vash's VA (Matsuoka Yoshitsugu) as they consistently play the harem MC of the season, but they do damn good work and it shows here. He draws out the harmless and comical charisma of Vash and it adds so much to the feel of the character.

My last piece as to what I love so much about this first episode is a bit of a twofer: direction and movement. The two are largely inseparable, but the latter is a component/influence of the former. Movement is an easy thing to forget about, in anime there's definitely a lot of sequences without it. Lots of moments where it's essentially stationary. Trigun Stampede though is a constant assault on the sense of the lowest order. That is, in almost every moment there's something moving. Even just background shuffling of nameless characters, or the wandering eyes of a character, or any order of things. There's hardly a stationary scene in the anime, and it's such a huge influence on how it feels. It makes it feel so full, like there's never a dull moment or a lull in the acting and interactions of the characters.

And with that movement comes the influence of direction. Orange is a predominantly 3D studio, so of course they know how to handle it. But personally, I'd still say it's a cut above what they've done previously. When the characters are acting the camera remains stationary, and helps sell the creativity and effort in their motion, but when they aren't being overly expressive, the camera flys about and makes up for that feeling of motion. It's a perfect understanding, and something that I always complain about with 3D animation. When you have something that isn't incredibly polished, but is 3D, the best course of action is to move. Shake the camera, fly it about and around the characters, give the illusion of more movement and motion than there is.

Studio Orange really went above and beyond to impress with this first episode. Hell, they did such a ridiculously good job with it that I forgot it was an original story. Trigun Stampede is proving within a single episode that 3D animation that well and truly deserves respect in the community outside of the stopgap and mixed media measures that many see it as. It has more than enough capability in emotion, movement, acting, and even animation to stand tall alongside 2D work. I really can't wait to see where Orange takes us with this series, and what else they'll be able to effortlessly show off with.

you know, every time that someone says they like fall apart, it makes me really happy. i've mentioned it before but it initially started out as a vent piece but i'd gotten frustrated with it because it wasn't going where i wanted it to and i ended up shelving it (I also did consider rewriting it from reader's pov but i also wanted to explore gojo's pov in a more serious way). anyway, i would be shocked if i... actually had some established relationship fics for you to... read. maybe this year? hahaha.

anyway. 2023 huh.

i'd say 2023 was probably one of the roughest years of my adult life. usually the way things go for me is that either life will be hard because of work or life will be hard because of things at home but most of the time it is work. but about half-way through the year it was really bad on both fronts. i post about work occasionally, but the home life thing i didn't super talk about outside of like one-on-one conversations and a little bit on servers i'm on. but in short, i had to do a lot of adulting with very little guidance and i can't emphasize how terribly stressful it is to try and navigate a situation that not only have virtually none of your peers have gone through but none of the people you ask who are older and supposedly wiser than you can advise you either.

and as soon as that basically resolved itself, another issue reared it's head which basically lasted until the beginning of the holidays lmao.

but despite the hardships of 2023, good things also happened in it too, after all, it's the year that you came into my life. and not just you, but others too. it was a good year for growing closer to the little friends in my phone, the people in my pocket. admittedly there were some rough patches, a couple of friendships i'd thought i'd lost due to my own carelessness, but overall, it was a good year for interpersonal relationships. i told you already that i did not have anything super sentimental to say, but i really can't say enough how much i look forward to opening up discord and finding a bazillion messages from you. and the occasional thirst trap.

huh. did i go off topic? hm. maybe. i think i covered discoveries and reflections LMAO.

as for resolutions, with the way my year ended, i think i would like to strive to let the people i love how much i care about them. not that i think i was particularly... aloof about it in the past but. you know. i also would like to get better at writing more consistently lmao.

2. Which of your WIPs is currently the longest?

Head Over Feet

3. Which WIP do you expect will end up the longest?

The Smut Challenge. I mean, there's 365 total chapters, how is that not the longest??

4. Which WIP is your favourite to write/the most enjoyable to write? Why?

I'm really focused on Head Over Feet more than the others at the moment. This is a story that, really, I wanted to write when I got into fandom -- a story about them finding each other again after their break up. I realize there are so many versions of this fic, but it's also a rite of passage I think to do it.

5. Which WIP do you find the most intimidating to write? Why?

Oh god The Smut Challenge. There are only so many ways you can write smut. One reason I stopped is that it was getting redundant.

6. Which WIP do you experience the most self-doubt about. Why?

Maybe Spaces In-Between. A complete canon compliant fic is something I always wanted to do - but it's been hard to come up with ideas for Season 1, and it hasn't gotten that much attention. Plus, I really found the first chapter really great - but then it's the only feedback that I got some negativity on, and have been unsure ever since.

7. Which of your WIPs will you seek out a beta/sensitivity reader for? Why?

I'll ask my lovely @snarkyhag for help with Head Over Feet and In The City That We Love -- because they're bigger stories, and room for more mistakes.

8. Have any of your WIPs been struck by the curse of writer's block?

All of them at some point. I feel like I'm just getting back into it after being out of it for at least six months to almost a year.

9. Which WIP has your favourite OC? Tell us about them?

I don't know that I have any? Not for the wips anyway.

10. Which WIP is the sexiest?

I mean, I guess Smut Challenge by default? They're all gonna have smut in it.

11. Which WIP is the angstiest?

Head Over Feet is pretty angsty. But if I'm guessing overall, Spaces In Between will end up being more so.

12. Which WIP has the best characterisation (in your humble opinion)? Right now - Head Over Feet, but I think I'm pretty consistent at keeping them all kind of the same.

13. Which WIP has the best scene setting (in your humble opinion)?

Hmmm, I'm terrible at scene description, so I'll leave that up to you.

14. Which WIP have you worked the hardest on?

Right now, Head Over Feet. but I'll end up working pretty hard on all of them. Though Smut Challenge will continue to be a little tongue and cheek if I get back to it.

15. Which WIP do you have the highest expectations for? Why?

I hope that, overall, you guys end up really enjoying Head Over Feet and In The City That We Love. I'm hoping that once Blaine enters the picture, Spaces In Between will pick up a bit. And I'm hoping that I do get back to the Smut Challenge, because self indulgently, I'd like it to get a ton of hits and make its way up the most read Klaine fic list.

16. Do you dream about any of your WIPs?

No. I think about them enough during the day - my brain has other things to contend with at night lol.

17. Do any of your WIPs have particular complexities that your other fics don't? I'd really liked to go back to the CrossRhodes saga once I'm done with a few of the others -- but it's a historical mystery, and that just adds a level of difficulty to it. I also think keeping the smut challenge new and refreshing is the tricky part there.

18. Which WIP is the funniest or has the most humour?

Probably In The City That We Love

19. Do any of your WIPs contain outside POVs or a deep dive on a character other than the main ship? How are you finding that process? Nope. Though, there are a couple of chapters of In The City That We Love that I may branch out a little because the original sketch had a fascinating character study of the full group.

20. Tell us one thing we don't know about one or more of your WIPs.

Honestly - maybe not necessarily about WIPs, but the fact that we're now so far away from the show ending, sometimes I wonder why I'm still writing. I mean - I'm writing for me and because I enjoy it. But I do wish the audience pool was a little bigger. Though I do appreciate that there still is an audience pool here. Idk, maybe I'll write an Ed/Stede oneshot to sooth my ego or something, lol.

Also, maybe semi-related, I have original fiction that I'd like to really settle down and write some day. I've been working on world building for twenty years, the problem is, who knows if it'd ever get published, or if I had an audience outside my family, which is why I continue to go back to fanfic. :P

My thoughts on episode 4

SPOILERS for season 3, episode 4 of the Animaniacs reboot

This review will have less substance than the last one because I just don't have as much to say. You can skip the next paragraph if you just want to hear my thoughts on the episode.

It's only been four days, and I've already gone insane. It's killing me to be separated from the fandom. I see the snippets of discussions and the filtered posts I can't view and I just desperately want to be a part of it all. Participate in the discussion, share in the same emotions. If that wasn't a factor, I'd have absolutely no regrets about watching one episode a day. Especially after typing up my reviews, I find that one day is the perfect amount of time to thoroughly digest each episode and prepare myself to watch the next one. I don't feel myself chomping at the bit to watch two or three episodes a day. I don't even think I have the time to do that and also keep doing these reviews. The only reason I want to go faster is so that I can return to the fandom sooner. There's six more days and six more episodes. The emotions are super mixed, though, because while I desperately want to exit my self-imposed prison, every day that passes is also another day closer to the end of Animaniacs for me. Do I go faster and get back to the fandom, but risk less thoroughly enjoying the last season of Animaniacs? Or do I keep watching slowly but risk missing the most active period this fandom will likely ever have again? THIS is why shows need to be released weekly. It's a dilemma I can't solve, and it leaves me feeling anxious and detached all day, thinking about absolutely nothing else than all of this.

What? The episode? Oh, it was decent.

Here's a closer look at the three abominations:

Could these be the animals the Warners are based on? I think a gold earring suits Yakko well.

"Do they watch us when we go to the bathroom?"

Only once, Wakko.

I loved Yakko's expressions and animation here.

I found it cute to see Dot looking at her spider with such love. An underrated, consistent part of her character through the original and the reboot is her fascination with keeping creepy little horrors as pets.

POOR BABY! Can't you see he needs his chicken tendies?!

I just got this joke. There were actually three spiders, Dot already lost one, and Andrew Garfield was forgotten.

Sad to see how far seniority gets you in this field, because lord knows Dr. Scratchansniff has never helped a single patient.

Like I said about the previews, Yakko is super cute in this segment!

The ambulance driver said they were going to make another stop, and Wakko's daily activity was never followed up with like Yakko's and Dot's. Is this implying Wakko ate so much at the hot dog eating contest that he had to get an ambulance?

It was a pretty funny segment that felt like the classic Scratchansniff-Warner cartoons you'd see in the first half of the original series.

It still confuses me, though, how they said they were listening to fan feedback for season 3, but they still didn't bother to make Scratchy more fatherly like literally every single fan wanted. We went from Scratchansniff willingly taking the Warners in his car on trips to being upset that they happened to join him in an Uber because he chose the wrong option in the app. At least give us a few moments that show he has some care for the Warners- like when Wakko starts to cry, have him feel bad and willingly give in to going back to the restaurant instead of the Uber driver doing it. During the best parts of their relationships in the original series, he was considerate towards the Warners' feelings and asked about their hobbies. Have him show some interest in Dot's pets or Yakko's passion for yodeling. The segment doesn't have to go any differently overall. Just a few caring moments would make all the difference. The decision to revert Scratchansniff to being a typical cartoon antagonist for the Warners was universally panned in the original and it baffles me that they still carry it forward to this day. No one wants to see that.

The Pinky and the Brain segment was good but nothing special. I'm getting a little sick of the same old formula for the reboot. Why not start a couple episodes off with Pinky and the Brain and end with the Warners? Or any other combination of segment order you could do. The formula in the reboot has always been either Warners-PATB-Warners or Warners-(sometimes some other segment)-PATB.

I find it interesting that this is their normal cruising attire:

I thought this part was an interesting symbolism for the two conflicting human ideas on climate change. Do we stick around and try to salvage what's left of our original home, or do we just try to bail Earth and start over in the stars?

My favorite part of this segment was how it all instantly devolved into total nonsensical chaos in about one second.

Poor guy will never get his revenge :(

It was a decently funny segment. Not much more to say about it.

The episode was good. It didn't stand up to the last one, but I didn't have any major complaints that ruined the whole thing for me. There wasn't really a major musical number in the entire episode. I think they've been too light on the music so far this season. The Warners have only had two songs in six segments, and only one of them was super great in my opinion. Take advantage of these characters and legendary voices while you have them.

This episode was definitely worse than episode 3, but it's hard for me to decide between this one and episode 2. Episode 2 had a better PATB segment but a Warner segment that didn't do much for me like this one did. By virtue of me being a Warner fan first and this episode having some very cute moments with them, I think I have to put episode 4 above episode 2. Despite the lack at even an attempt at a song.

I don't know if I'll cave and start doing multiple episodes per day. This takes a lot of willpower, but for now I'm still tentatively planning to tough it out.
