arcane thoroughly destroyed me, like as soon as episode 3 started I was crying nonstop and it really continued through episode 9…. Kind of iconic !! I have so many feelings and I feel like I need to write a dissertation on this show to properly get it out but for now I just,? scream Oh man I feel so bad for everyone in da show.,, and I’ve played league (minimally) but my bf used to be a hardcore player and he knows All The Lore, so I fully knew what was coming for everyone (rip viktor my beloved) but it didn’t make it like, easier? I think for me personally, watching Jinx’s deterioration hurt the most because I *muffled voice* kin her ,, and as like a 14 year old was so obsessed with her story and character lmao , but truly! Everyone made me cry! Everyone and everything! Jinx just made me so sad… not to be like # kinnie or anything but I see a lot of myself in her especially as powder and her in the 2nd act… like !! Wow! I too have been a pretty unstable mentally ill child /teenager with self harming tendencies in a shitty environment with adult presences that were often unhealthy! But it was so hard to watch her as powder feel useless and left out and,, like a jinx,,,, and then the one time she makes a weapon that will 100% work and 100% help, and is so fucking ready to prove herself, and shocker it literally fucks everything up, the situation would've been fine without her, it actually would've been Uh. better, and she's so excited! and then she sees everything she's done and wow there's the start of a lifetime of trauma wow! and oh Vi... Vi is so angry and heart broken and it tore me apart to watch her actively hurt Powder. She almost instantly realizes what she has done, but the damage is done and she doesn't have even a chance to make things right with Powder for another fucking 5 years, and by that time Jinx has been by Silco's side for like Uh 5 whole years, and things have changed... dude jinx's relationship with Silco made me want to cry and scream and shit AAaaA this show is truly so good about showing the sides and motivations of all characters, like obviously Silco is a very fucked up guy who actively harmed both Zaun and Piltover in order to achieve his long-term goal of a sovereign nation of Zaun, and he is ruthless, he threatens and kills and fucking destroys anyone in his way except Jinx, who is like his adoptive daughter... which weird vibes in every way but he LOVES her!

BUT ANYWAYS RIGHT he's evil, but even he is sympathetic ! Like by the end of the show I understood his intentions and felt fucking sad when he died. Maybe sympathetic isn't the right word but it's like... his intentions are at least. I think it's really cool that the show just did a banger job at showing the motivations for every character, even the ones that could so easily be dismissed as pure evil, or portrayed as one sided in like, ... a shittier show lmao
