can u pls elaborate on the phiddies and renaissance paintings i asked my friend who’s a been a phil enjoyer longer than me and now we’re both confused

honestly i considered not elaborating cuz i thought it was funny but i think its way funnier new people now getting to know phiddies

(pardon older crows my memory is shit)

before kristin and phil got married, kristin had a bachelorette party and her friends made her this in celebration, hence the origin of phiddies

i cannot express enough how hell and back this thing was memed for years, at some point there were people just with phiddies layouts and replies full of the cropped image with only phiddies

the timeline gets blurry here cuz i dropped mcyt for like a year but at some point where phil updated his mc skin (the one we know of today) he covered the phiddies

i think it was wolfy who started it but on december 16th 2021 wolfy promised that if chat hit phil's subgoal they would draw phiddies, which they ended up redrawing the birth of adam as so

(note to add: that drawing also appeared on both the radar and the login page of tumblr, and got sent to the moon on that even mrbeast did... and also phiddies blanket and pillow is something wolfy owns LMAO)

and i guess this just made people draw more phiddies as renaissanse paintings like this one , or this one

and to this day it's still something that gets memed about in phils chat! just recently in one of phil's zelda streams where he was talking about a potental gamersupps flavor the chat was full of "phiddies flavor" (thanks to schlatt's cursed ass flavor name)
