#edit: tag rant incoming #duuude i‘m so annoyed #my body image issues have been NUTS for the last year or so - and as i’m tapering off this medication???? my puffiness is going away #my face is My Face again #i haven’t taken selfies or looked in the mirror more than absolutely necessary for at least 10 months #and i KNEW it wasn’t something like alcohol because i was drinking almost nothing because of the interaction with the meds #and i was drinking water so like #what the hell #but NOPE IT WAS THE MEDS #turns out SO MANY OF THESE ISSUES are just THE MEDS #and i was telling the psych about the side effects this whole time and he was just like ehhh #lamictal does wonders for my friend with bipolar type 2 #but it is Not For Me #and i really wish doctors would fucking listen to me once in a while #ugh omg whatever #at least I'm recognizing my own face again

Do you guys ever see writers mischaracterize their own characters so badly that you don’t even associate what was written with the character and can only see it as a faulty writing problem? I’ll hear people complain about a character and then explain why by citing that time they did [x] thing and I’m like “oh you guys. you guys actually accept that as canon? I thought we all just agreed that it was SO out of character that it never happened. oh so that was just me? ohhhh.”

All those posts that are about how you have to make the choice to let your emotions show and to be vulnerable quit making sense and two doses of wellbutrin later I'm like ah. The fact that I kept having to ask how to access those emotions in the first place was in fact A Symptom.

#I could access them fine when I was literally turning them into fanfiction #Nearly every fic was just emotion made into words #That's how I processed them #And I didn't realize when I stopped my antidepressant that there was a correlation between that #And the dwindling ability to grasp emotions firmly enough to translate them #Anyway that's depression kids #I didn't go off my meds for self important reasons I thought the depression was from uncontrolled Adhd #And once that was handled I didn't need it anymore #Nope! I have Adhd and a little bit of depression and that's okay
