Plant of the Day
Wednesday 13 December 2023
Seeming to flow down a slope in this cacti house was Sedum morganianum (burro's tail, donkey tail). This evergreen succulent has trailing stems growing 30cm or longer. The fleshy, glaucous blue-green leaves are sometimes joined by clusters of small, starry reddish purple flowers.

Out of curiosity i wanted to see how i measured up to my Burro's tail, it is now almost as tall as me XD Like, if i stood on the window there wouldn't be much in it, the angle makes it look a bit shorter than it is. I really dunno where i am gonna put this eventually, i have avoided intentionally damaging it but i think at some point I'll need to prune it as length and weight, dunno what i could do with it in future!

Comillas, Spain (No. 3)
From the second half of the 20th century however, southern Spain and the islands became more popular due to an increasing inclination towards sunnier destinations, and so places like Marbella, Sotogrande or Mallorca became attractive prospects for the rich and famous. Although the town has seen an upsurge in the last years, it still maintains its character as "the haven for the decadent and discreet aristocracy".
Comillas was the capital of Spain for a day, the 6 August 1881, following an agreement between king Alfonso XII and the Minister's Council to gather at a formal meeting in town. It also became the first place in Spain to use Edison's electric light bulbs, in 1880.

Jelly Belly - Burro's Tail
I've had to take off some leaves that were wrinkling for some reason. But she also has a lot of baby branches coming in too.

Finally got a double bloom on the lifesaver plant and maybe the last crown of thorns bloom for the season. Thinking about moving a lot of my aloe and aloe adjacent plants into one big long pot here soon. Got one in storage and a new window shelf to try and put it on.

Had to move the mistletoe cactus to the plant shelf because the shelf it was on was too short and it kept getting branches caught in the vent but from the looks of it this will be an ongoing problem
