I KNOW WE'RE ALL ANTI TWITTER ON HERE BUT I NEED YOUR HELP!!!
I ordered the Techeun hoodie from bungie store at the end of season of the lost. I got three emails about it after I got the receipt - one to say that production was on schedule, one to say the hoodie would be leaving the production factory at the end of July, and one to say it would be shipping at the end of August.
I heard nothing more after that. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, seeing as according to their website COVID is still causing shipping problems, but after waiting two months past the supposed delivery timeframe I got in touch with customer support.
They are telling me that they now can't send me the hoodie, because its out of stock. They can only refund it. And they didn't explain anything at all.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE retweet my twitter thread and tag Bungie and the bungie store in the comments. I want an actual explanation from a real live person about what the hell happened for my order to be completely skipped over. As an autistic person whose special interest is the Dreaming City and all things Awoken, this has absolutely broken my heart.

OML my Vow jacket that was pre-ordered 84 years ago is finally on its way. If it's anything like the Europa penguin statue I ordered last year, it'll take another two and a half months to hit my doorstep (at least I'll have it in time for next Autumn, I guess???)

So fucking sick right now... Gambit is dead. Nothing will make anyone play this game mode anymore.
This makes me so angry and emotional... i just can't anymore with this game... the one thing that got me to play the game, which is Gambit, is being buried... no rewards, no effort, no support, no nothing. They're returning one of the old maps, that they removed with beyond light might i add, with the already existing annoying type of enemies (shadow legion, fuck them bitches).
I still had some hope that they'll do something for the game mode, just a little bit of hopium, now even that is gone. I fuckin hate bungie so much right now.
Someone put it right;

Got this email a while back which, looking at now, feels super shady/scummy. Reading this, it’s implied that if I pre-order Lightfall I’ll get the exclusive Exotic, but what’s conveniently not mentioned is that you can’t just pre-order Lightfall, you have to preorder Lightfall + the annual pass, which is $50 more.
The other scummy part, at least as far as I can tell and please correct me if I’m wrong, but you can’t buy the annual pass separately. Meaning if you’re me, who pre-ordered just the expansion sans-pass, expecting to receive the gun but didn’t and are now looking to possibly buy the annual pass additionally...you can’t. And since I’ve already redeemed the key on Steam, it’s not like I can refund it either.
Pretty shitty, Bungie.

Let's talk Cyberpunk.
Becca for attention.
Tumblr media
I started a replay of the game recently, and in the lobby of the hotel in the opening heists listened to a conversation I hadn't overheard before.
A woman, chatting to a man who suddenly becomes woozy and asks what was in his drink. She tells him not to worry, and to meet her in the room in 10 minutes. He insists, and she reveals it was a drug to make sensation 1000x more intense. (She's looking forward to pain).
So we can infer that my dream, ticklishness enhancement drugs, exist in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. This is good news, but it doesn't stop there.
For those who don't know, a popular passtime in this world is to experience Brain Dances (BDs). Essentially full sensation VR experiences, you will see, hear, smell, feel (physically and emotionally) everything that the "actor", whose perspective you experience, did. You see where this is going. Clearly, the tickle community of 2077 will have access to first person experiences of sessions.
Fantastic. Imagine being able to experience that gang tickling you've always wanted. Or a type of bondage you don't have the space for at home.
And now, remember which blog you're reading, and let's go darker.
You see, the world of Cyberpunk is dark. For sure Brain Dances have amazing potential - for learning, for visiting places you can't afford to, experiencing things you're scared to in real life like bungie jumping.
But for every wholesome BD, there is a... less legal one. In the game we experience this in the form of a BD which the actor believes will simply be to rob a store, giving people who want it a taste of the high of violent crime. After robbing the store, the actor is murdered by his friend, who presumably will collect a greater paycheck for the more extreme BD of death itself.
Applying this dark side to our community... we all know kidnapping, and genuine use of tickling as TORTURE against an unwilling participant, is a huge part of many fantasies. I'll let you imagine whether these BDs would be available...
The BD in which we experience death in the game genuinely shakes your character. You felt it, as real as real can be. Therefore, I infer that BDs can be used as torture. A non-ticklish person could be made to experience months of merciless tickle torture, and when they come out of the BD, they might be ready to talk..
To summarise, imagine selecting the most intense bondage and tickle torture BD in a world where sensitivity drugs may well have been given to the Lee you are about to become, and in which the Ler may have cybernetically enhanced hands with built in tickle tools.
It's a bright future for us all.

Huge good news in regards to shaders.
This week, the shader called Ego Malign is up for bright dust in the store:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I almost didn't even look but when I saw that it's a shader I don't have, I immediately clicked to get it and couldn't believe it's that. Ego Malign was an exclusive shader in the Bad Ahamkara bundle from Season of the Seraph. You could only get it if you bought the whole bundle for 1000 silver. This was widely panned and despised because people assumed that this would never be available outside of this bundle and silver which spurned the idea of Bungie committing to selling "$10 shaders." Fair assumption, but I always wanted to wait at least a few months to see if this might cycle in for bright dust eventually before I pass any hard judgement.
It happened! This shader is now available for 300 bright dust. It's not exclusive and you don't need silver. This is a huge precedent because it shows that there's a possibility for all other bundle shaders to eventually be released into the store for bright dust. Note that this only applies to bundles, for now, not event cards (we've just gone a full year since they released event cards for the first time and none of the items from a past event card were up for dust so be cautious there), but it does apply for bundles. This means that bundles like these:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Will most likely have these items (and specifically shaders) available in the store in a few months. You won't miss them if you don't cash out real money, they will come up for dust eventually if you wait.
Just wanted to let people know. I remember that this specific shader, Ego Malign, was desired by a lot of people. It's really clean, it's one of the best bone-white shaders and it's truly a shader worth getting. The price was steep for me for a shader back when it was a bundle so I passed, and I'm super happy it's now up for dust.

The 3 main things wrong with Destiny 2 right now
I've been enjoying my return to Destiny 2, but this has mostly been carried by the sublime gameplay. Most other aspects of the game are in desperate need of refinement, but these three are the major problems that are truly keeping the game bogged down in mediocrity.
Complete lack of narrative cohesion
It's no secret that "sunsetting" was one of the worst possible decisions Bungie could have made for Destiny 2. Removing whole swaths of the game that people paid real cash money is obviously awful, but the knock-on effects of this have been somewhat dire, primarily the fact that you can no longer experience a fairly important chunk of Destiny 2's story within the game itself.
New players starting Destiny 2 for the first time right now have no real entry point to the story. They get the New Light tutorial quests, which are terrible at introducing the world compared to how it was done in Destiny 1. If they bought the DLC, the earliest campaign they can play is Shadowkeep, one of the weakest stories in the game's history and one that makes no sense to new players. Not to mention that the seasonal story model, where you buy a battle pass every three months to access the new story content, locks out the story after the season is over. If you missed the big story moment from a past season, it's fucking gone forever! Fuck you!
There's not even an in-game cutscene viewer or a bare-bones written summary of the events that have transpired. There's an in-game timeline, sure, but it only gives you a sentence or two about the general events of a given DLC's story. It's basically nothing. Do you seriously expect people trying to understand the basic story of the game to go watch hours of Youtube videos to catch up? That's complete horseshit.
Confusing and aggravating pricing model
Some Destiny Youtubers have been stirring the pot recently about microtransactions, and this is not really about that. I'm talking about straight up purchasing the game. A recent change Bungie has made is a Legacy Collection, which bundles all the previous available campaigns together in a single pack. This is good! Why are they still available to purchase separately from the bundle? Like seriously, look at this store page:
Tumblr media
This is a whole bunch of redundancy, and it only serves muddy the waters. "This is so people who have some of the DLC don't have to rebuy the ones they already own when they buy the bundle" that's stupid. There's two solutions to this: either A) have the bundle recognize which DLCs you own and offer a discount based on that (this is possible to do on Steam already), or B) just lower the price of the whole bundle to the price of the latest included expansion (which is Witch Queen, so $30) so people won't feel that bad about rebuying something they own. The latter is what FFXIV does. Buying the latest expansion gets you all the ones that came before it bundled in for $40. Easy. Makes sense.
Then we have the Forsaken Pack and 30th Pack. The Forsaken Pack should just be included in the free to play portion of the game. The fact that they culled Forsaken from the game but still charge money for that content is insulting, though the 30th Pack is arguably worse. $25 for a single dungeon and a single exotic weapon. For the record, dungeon keys, which give you access to two dungeons, is $20. A complete slap in the nuts ripoff.
Speaking of dungeon keys, the fact that dungeon keys have to be bought separately from its corresponding expansion is moronic. Regardless of the reasons Bungie does what it does with dungeon keys (or excuses people come up with for it), it ends up feeling like squeezing people for every dollar they have.
I know at the end of the day, Bungie is a business, and they need money to pay their staff and survive as a studio, but they really need to give some thought into how people actually purchase their game, the process they go through, what they see and encounter along the way, because for a lot of people it's really, really off-putting.
Lack of meaningful player interaction
So Destiny's whole thing is that it's an MMO, right? At the very least, it takes a lot of elements from more traditional MMO games. Something it does not do very well is get people to actually mingle with each other in a meaningful way.
When I play FFXIV, I can strike up a conversation with people hanging out in the main cities if I so desire. There will be people willing to engage in some small talk at the very least. You might tell someone you think their character looks cool, you emote at each other, maybe even add each other to your friends list. You basically cannot do this in Destiny. Text chat might as well not exist with how little I see people use it, and almost nobody opts in to voice chat during activities. People occasionally emote at each other in the Tower or in the field, and that's about it. I've made friends with random people playing FFXIV. I have not made friends with anyone playing Destiny.
Destiny also lacks a proper Group Finder feature common in most other MMO games. They've toyed around with adding matchmaking to raids, but that feature has been in Beta™ for roughly 7 years, so it's safe to say it's never going to properly get off the ground anytime soon. People trying to find pick-up groups for harder content have to use external sites (or know a guy who knows a guy, which is how I've gotten through most of D2's raids).
They have taken a small step in the right direction with player commendations, where you can rate whether people on your fireteam were fun to play with, were a stout ally, or fashionably dressed. This is good! But they really need to make it easier to communicate and form groups outside of matchmaking from within the game to truly take a big step forward.
Tumblr media
just about the most interaction i ever managed to get in the tower
To summarize, you can't experience a large portion of Destiny 2's story within the game, trying to buy the game itself is convoluted and the pricing structure is all over the place (and kind of high in my opinion), and for an always-online MMO-style game, it's challenging to find groups or even make friends with other players. Destiny 2 feels like a game that is in desperate need of some true backend maintenance and development, but that kind of work doesn't translate into profit, so it is heavily minimized.
A player starting for the first time right now is not going to know who Cayde-6 is outside of a couple of references. He has been effectively excised from the game. Why should they care about his return in The Final Shape?

I am not 100% if I have done this before so I am going to call this my updated Destiny 2 vs Warframe post. However, before I get into thing, please note that EVERYTHING I SAY IS BASED ON MY OWN EXPERIENCES IN BOTH GAMES and that my experiences may differ from yours and if you can't accept that then just stop reading now and go somewhere else. Now I shall get into my thoughts and opinions on both of these games.
Tumblr media
I am going to start with Destiny 2 here and the things that I like about it because, contrary to what one may think, there are things about Destiny 2 that I do like. While doing that I will also make comparisons to those same things in Warframe too.
If there is one thing I can definitely give Bungie credit for is just how good everything looks in Destiny 2. The environments, characters, weapons etc all look really, really good. They definitely have some extremely talented artists over at Bungie and it really shows. Of course, Warframe is also a very good looking game too and is also one reason why I like Warframe but, I think Destiny 2 has a little more going for it in the looks department.
Another thing, and this is something I really enjoy from Destiny, another thing that I really love is the music in Destiny 2. I can sit and listen to all of the soundtracks for Destiny 2 anytime and all day long too. Hell, sometimes I listen to Destiny 2 music when I am playing Warframe. But, on the same note, I recently listened to and downloaded the Warframe soundtracks and they're very good also! Sure, I'm not a fan of the lyrical tracks on the second soundtrack but the rest it and all of the first one are really nice to listen to anytime.
Yes, that is pretty much where things that I like about Destiny 2 ends so, let's get into what I don't like.
First up to bat here is that calling Destiny 2 a free to play game is an utter joke. What can one do as a free to play player in Destiny 2 anyway? Well, there is no base game campaign anymore which was the major reason I even tried Destiny 2 in the first place. You get a tutorial mission in place of that and the first mission of each expansion and that's really all the story content you get. You have a limited number of strikes, I think only three or four of them. You have Gambit which, honestly, I have no idea what this mode is as I've never done it. You have Crucible which is PVP which I imagine is a small amount of maps for F2P players. There's the Dares Of Eternity activity from the 30th Anniversary and then there are two raids and one dungeon. Yeah, as a F2P game, Destiny 2 lacks so much. Once you do these things beyond the first time, you'll see just how boring this game really is. Comparatively, Warframe absolutely EXCELS at being a F2P game, especially with the vast amount of content at ones disposal. You have like seven to eight planets to do all the nodes on, you have Duviri which also has The Circuit and Steel Path, you have the stuff associated with Railjack missions and so on! Best thing too is that a good amount Warframes and weapons can just be obtained from farming assassination missions and don't have to be bought from a store. Warframe has a terrific F2P structure that definitely sets it far above Destiny 2.
Of course, if you don't want to be a F2P player and don't want to sit in an empty well of content, you could always fork over somewhere between $160 and $200 to get all the DLC for the game. Oh yeah, you could also spend additional money on the season pass and in game shop too. What? You don't want to fork over more money for a game that you already paid money for? Yeah, no one wants to do that. This is the area where Warframe excels because it has an actual, sound F2P structure. Now, I've heard some people say that one doesn't have to spend a dime on Warframe and I am sorry, but that isn't true. The difference with Warframe is that one doesn't have to spend much on the game. To me, Warframe having a limited number of inventory slots is a major thing. Initially when starting the game, you have a whopping two Warframe slots and if you get more Warframes, it'll cost you 20 platinum per slot and platinum is something that has to be bought with real money. I myself have spent around $7 on platinum because of this, because I have 11 Warframes with a 12th on the way soon. I find it to be a little but looser when it comes to inventory slots for primary, secondary and melee weapons. But here's the thing, you can EARN more inventory slots by doing the Nightweave dailies so if you want to get more slots slowly, that's the way to do it. Also, yes, of course, like Destiny 2, Warframe has a store where you can buy stuff with you platinum. But, ultimately, Warframe is such a better F2P game that Destiny 2 will ever be. Clarification: It has been brought to my attention that it is actually possible to not spend a dime on Warframe, even on inventory slots for Warframes and weapons. This is possible because one is able to trade their leftover Prime parts for platinum. I myself have been showed this by a friend and I myself find it to be complicated. I just plainly forgot about this method until it was brought to my attention and I thank those who did for reminding me about this.
The next thing is that you basically can't play this game single player. Not only because the matchmaking system will match you with random players regardless of if you want to or not, but also because I found that a lot of things that are NOT those opening story missions for each DLC is just way too hard for a single player to handle. I find that Warframe is only a little bit better in this regard. Early on when doing planet nodes, you can do them my yourself no problem. I found though that once you hit Saturn, Uranus & Neptune, that pretty much goes out the window. But, those early planets are also not completely possible to do single player because the boss fights will require other players, otherwise they're way too difficult.
Kind of coinciding with missions is that I really with they would do away with parts of the mission where they don't allow one to respawn. I mean, even in a group this can be trouble and I don't think it's fair to the players to have be worry about dying and having to restart an entire leg of a mission over again. I am so, so glad that Warframe doesn't do this. However, Warframe only lets one respawn four times but, after that, you can rely upon other player reviving you. But, if you're doing something alone and go through your four respawns, then your fucked. But, Warframe definitely does this better in my opinion.
Events are kind of boring. At the time of making this, it is their Halloween event, The Festival Of The Lost, and the event is kind of boring. The event playlist consists of killing an amount of Headless Ones in an amount of time and then doing a boss. There are like three maps for this playlist and the boss that spawns at the end is always the same too. Yeah, I do it for getting gear and weapons and because I don't have much else to do but yeah, playing the same mode on the same three maps over and over is boring. I've honestly not taken part in any of the events in Warframe so I have no idea how they compare.
The lack of unique weapons is a small thing that bothers me. You could get a super awesome legendary weapon and yeah, it looks like 20 previous weapons that you have already used and the only reason it's even special is because of damage numbers or whatever. You have all these talented artists, surely you can make more cool looking weapons for this game. Warframe definitely excels here as they have completely different and unique weapons that looks very different from each other.
Now, I am going to make this a Part 1 post and am going to do the same thing as I've done here for Warframe in another post.
