my builder looks so similar with haru, i started to think they are long separated twins

#you can't really tell but i also picked a dark shade of blue for the builder's eyes so i was like *GASP!! >:^o #my time at sandrock #mtas #mtas haru #mtas builder #mtas logan #it would explain lots why the builder doesn't exactly look like her parents #the recent dialogue of haru wanting to go to university makes me think oh haru would see himself in the builder and think #oh that's how much i would be able to do if i get good education like her who was taken by parents in highwind #it's like fate that the builder comes to sandrock and ended up finding him #or he might be the reason she chose to come to sandrock in the first place #she might know something but who knows which is the real truth (i don't fshd)#i meant it made me think how someone from good sounding place such as highwind would come to a total desert like sandrock #i was like ??#this would be somewhat a good reason #for the parents builder to also let her go to sandrock #o h // the twin situation makes me think fondly of astral chain #it's funny when they both stand beside logan #it's like fate they ended up at the same place and helping the same person #fsdh i did think that haru is a lazy designed character because he looks so similar to base male player #that's why he would look so similar with the builder

The Protector reminds me of Cartier's Love Bracelet:

I do think it's funny that predatory normie-type mobile games are pouring so much into making their advertisements queer flavored like

"come play Generic Empire Building PTW #327, you can be gay!"

and honestly the strategy works better than it should on me

#advertisements do make me grouchy tho bc they NEVER represent actual gameplay #when the actual gameplay isn't BAD. boring a bit but not bad.#the art is usually p nice and-- when translated properly-- the actual writing is serviceable!#don't just be gimmicky if it's a generic hero collection and empire builder/resource farmer just fuckin SAY IT #im looking directly at king's choice and bloodline for this #and even isekai! the games are shockingly similar when comparing their advertisements. they each have their own quirks but #at the end of the day they are almost exactly the same game just with slightly different focuses #not bad to play! just predatory ptw that can't TELL YOU WHAT THE ACTUAL GAME IS

I have officially changed my vibe from “mildly intimidating” to “kicked puppy” in the span of three years… on purpose.

AI art gives me the same vibes as taking a beautifully built house from the gallery of the Sims 4, redecorating it a bit to suit my use, and then posting it back to the gallery to share the beautiful house I created. Yeah, I did some of the work, yeah it’s not exactly the same thing, but I didn’t do the brunt of the work, I didn’t spend hours creating it and only took maybe twenty minutes to alter it. It still doesn’t make it mine. It’s fine to use for your own personal use maybe, but you absolutely should not share it anywhere else, especially not without crediting the original creator (something that is almost impossible to do with AI art programs)

#seeing people defending this shit on Twitter and it bothers me so much #ai art #ai art discourse #this isn’t even a perfect analogy because at least the builders upload their content with the expectation that people will probably alter it #something that artists who share their work dont #this was specifically promoted by someone literally posting an artist’s work #and asking what to input into this ai generator to make a similar piece #not everyone has artistic talent #and not everyone has the funds to be able to commission or just purchase an art work #but unfortunately that is something you are just going to have to go without #these aren’t some big corporate billionaires you’re hurting by doing this #It’s mostly small creators who spend hours days weeks to perfect their work #only to have you take two seconds to take that hard work and pretend you made something

really excited for saints row (2022)'s release this month. I have my doubts about it and im not dishing out 60 bucks for it just yet but im really excited to see what people say about it and what the story will be like

sometimes I want to be part of minecraft server with a bunch of builders just so I cam collect materials and farm stuff for them to use. I love to collect and organize things. I am bad at building and have no ideas for it. any time I played minecraft, I dug a hole, collected stuff, organized it into chests, did a complete villager setup for everyone on the server, then everyone quit before I finished and I never interacted with them because they weren't builders. they just beat the dragon in a week and decided that's the end. I want to do stuff in the game that's actually useful. the game has no goals if you aren't planning a big build. I get bored if I collect for no reason.

#i also hate that they dont have an easy want to make a server. i cant port forward and dont want to pay for one that gets used for a week #lee text #im just suddenly in the mood to collect stuff. but that mood gets ruined when i realize it would serve no purpose 😅#but imagine survival mc and you plan a big build but hate collecting and crafting stuff for it. imagine having someone to send out and help #i haven't played mc since the underwater update i think. (not counting the few times affer that i played for an hour and got bored)#if i played again id want similar age people (25+) who plan to stick around and plan times to play together #and builders who send me to collect things for them or use my collection i will build up and my villagers i work hard on!!!!#any time ive ever posted about doing minecraft again i only got kids replying asking to play. expecting me to buy them a server fdhddjdkksjs

why hbomb94 should be the next new hermit: no listen this isn't just me being ridiculous listen listen--

okay but like. after today i am ON THIS TRAIN. i am FULLY CONVINCED that hbomb94 would be one of the BEST POSSIBLE CANDIDATES for "new hermit for hermitcraft". and please, just listen to my case for this:

so, after today, i'm fully convinced hbomb is a perfect vibes match for many hermits. he gets along well! he's actually pretty good at staying at hermitcraft levels of pg in videos (like, not swearing--he makes like, the catmaid jokes, but that's nothing worse than whatever ren gets up to on a given day). he's also relatively chill, already friends with a lot of the hermits, and connects well with them on a content creation level. like, he's excited for them, he slots into the bits well, the bits he brings to the table are picked up easily by the other hermits.

and the thing is... okay i KNOW hbomb isn't a huge base builder. i watched vault hunters smp too. but the thing is... he doesn't have to be! you see, there's a certain hermit niche they haven't invited a new hermit into in a while, and that's the niche that someone like joe hills or zedaph (or i'd argue etho or cubfan) occupies. it's the 'weird' niche. i don't think hbomb would be a builder hermit. i don't think he'd be a redstoner either. what he'd be good at is things like... hermits helping hermits! building minigames! have you seen hbomb actually, half of what he did on dsmp or on his main youtube is building minigames and escape rooms. he'd have good vibes! he'd show up to all the events! he'd probably RUN some events!

what he'd be is a new chill, friendly niche hermit, and i think we need more of those? more of the hermits who WON'T be building megabases, but WILL be building games, helping collect resources, and inventing new strange things to do. yes, sure, once again: i know hbomb isn't a builder, and next to someone like joel, that probably puts him out of contention, but... the last two hermits they invited were builders. they need a hype guy. an event guy. another team player. the escape rooms would be ENRICHMENT. it would be wonderful.

plus, i don't think he'd ever stop being a delightful audience insert about the other hermit projects. plus plus, i think he and scar and cub would definitely do a catmaid bit we'd all regret. plus plus plus i think he could do his rant about how weird beetroot is and the hermits would appreciate him for it.

as such i actually think hbomb slots in BEST of the visitors from today as a new hermit. (this is also in part because the empires crew tends to prefer much shorter seasons on their servers than hermitcraft has if they don't want to get bored and the hermits have pretty definitively decided they don't like short seasons. it's also a vibe check. skizz for hermitcraft fans, i am shaking your hand and saluting you, my guy who can't build and your guy who can't build should be hermits who join for similar reasons, we are friends.)

anyway will this actually happen? probably not. but like. listen. for the first time since hbomb hermit adoption arc started this feels VIABLE and i feel the need to make my case for why i want him on because the moment the season rolls over and we start speculating about new hermits this is the guy who has my vote please do you understand now please he'd be so fun--
