My newest AU that I have been so invested in creating. In this one, Branch and Poppy were childhood friends until he left Pop Village on his own, feeling abandoned by his brothers while mourning the loss of his grandmother (after escaping the bergens). Instead of waiting around in his bunker, he leaves to forget about anything tied to his past. Poppy remains at the village working to be a good princess and teacher, but still misses this one piece of her past. Years later, Princess Poppy and Branch reunite once again when she ends up needing his help...but he's a rock troll now? Can they rebuild what they once had even though they come from such different worlds now?
I have lots of plans and things for this AU but that's essentially the outline I'm working off of :) It's full of romcom tropes bc I'm a sucker for romance. I hope you like it bc I sure do!

True Colors Au Headcanon(1) :
Branch was one year old when they left the original trolls tree in bergans town.
Poppy is younger than branch in this au but they're the same age branch was Born at the beginning of the year Poppy was at the end of it .
Branch brothers still left the same way as the movie nothing changes there .
Rosiepuff owns a puzzle factory due to her love for puzzles & is a business partner and a best friend to my oc Mirra .
The one who came up with the true colors potion was an oc of mine I named fuzzpop he was a gray troll centuries ago & accidentally found a way to restore his true colors temporarily.
Branch & Rosiepuff lived in a tree far away from trolls village due to both of them wanting to live in a spacious place because their place was cramped in the original trolls tree & due to branch past as a former member of two famous boy bands they didn't want to draw fans attention .
The second band branch was in the kemist I think that's what people call it broke up but not due to fighting or arguing like brozone it's just they formed the band so everyone can have fun they broke up due to all of them wanting a different goal in their life they're still friends .
The kemist formed when branch was a year & few months old he was known by the name' B Comet ' because he didn't want anyone to recognize him from brozone the band disbanded when he was three & a half .
Miss Mirra is in her forties she was married but lost her husband due to trollstice a few years ago Rosiepuff helped her through the loss of her husband .
The trolls really don't know what the Bergens were doing with the trolls they take each year but they assumed it was no good since no troll ever came back after they were taken they don't know that the Bergens eat them .
Branch is going to build a bunker in this au near his grandma house but he's not going to live in it he just use for storing supplies & emergency.
Branch is going to be the wired shy kind of trolls he always delince hugs going to parties nicely & he always makes an excuse so he doesn't sing with other trolls except with miss mirra in private that makes poppy suspicious of him .
Miss Mirra & her husband always wanted kids but they couldn't have any of their own before miss Mirra husband died so she secretly thinks of branch as the son they never got to have .
Branch will be busy running his grandma puzzles factory since he always loved them & wanted to be in the puzzles business when grow up the name of the puzzles factory was branch's idea .
Branch will be drinking from the true colors potion two times a day since it wears off after 12 hours miss Mirra discovers his secret by accident she promised to not tell anyone about it .
Branch & poppy will be starting at trolls school next year when it's opened .
Rosiepuff put miss Mirra to be branch legal Guardian if something ever happens to her & she made Mirra promise her to take care of him if something ever did .

How the title says. Poppy meets sweet granny Rosiepuff! In one of their study sessions, they agreed to go to Branch's house. Poppy depressed about not being able to hang out with her friends, and having to be around a boy as uptight and serious as Branch, she finds a warm and welcoming environment with Grandma Rosiepuff and her soft aura full of love.
This scene would be one of the first in AU history. Poppy and Branch have one of their first sessions and the atmosphere is still tense between them, more from Branch who seems not to want to be interested in a friendship with Poppy.

After losing his colors due to grandma death branch trun to temporarily solution to solve his gray situation problem he make a potion that will let him have his true colors for about 12 hours before the effects of the potion wear off so branch detriment that none of the trolls know that he truned gray drinks this potion daily as well as he have a supply of this magic potion so he can never run out .
What if branch had a close family friend to some how look after him after his grandma death ? & what if that family friend knows of branch secret ?
Poppy have a feeling that this shy , akwakard teal blue troll isn't what he seems she have a feeling that he's hiding a big secret from all the trolls and poppy is so determined to find out what it is

A what I Au maybe going to be truned into fic idea what if when branch lost his grandmother he makes a potion that make him Regain his colors so the other trolls won't make fun of him or think that he's weird and attract him or something plus it helps him blend into the crowd but it's effects are only temporary so he have go to the forest to find ingredients to this magical potion every few weeks and no one in pop village knows that he had lost his colors they all think that's branch is just a normal quiet shy troll .
Poppy and the snack pack are very suspicious of branch and want to find out what secrets he's hiding from them like why doesn't he sing with other trolls ? or why doesn't he dance with them as well ? Why doesn’t he go to any of the parties in pop village ? Why does he always show up after hug time is over ? and why dose he leave before the next hug time began ? There are too many weird habits that branch is hiding and poppy have a feeling that it's not what he tells other trolls or her when he's asked about it .
