Honestly, one of my biggest issues with BDii (along with everything else of course) is that they made the grinding so freaking tedious, resulting me being underleved constantly, an issue I never had in BD or B2nd.
Like in BD/B2nd, all you needed to do was set the freely accessible encounter rate up to 100%, then just run around near a town (and/or the Adventurer in B2nd). Because you can register attacks to an auto mode, all you would need to do is set a few strong multi-target attacks, and then just run around for battles that happen every two seconds because of the adjusted encounter rate. And if you're running low on hp/mp, all you need to do is turn the encounter rate down to -100%, and bam, no enemy encounters on the way back.
Meanwhile in BDii I need to spend money in order to prevent enemies from attacking me, and because they're no longer random encounters, I need to chase after monsters, or spend time grinding monsters on the complete otherside of the map to get the monster food needed to make grinding easier, because some genius thought it would be a great idea to have to grind to be able to grind, instead of making it possible to just buy the items.
Which still would be a downgrade from being able to freely adjust the encounter rate whenever you want.
Hopefully whenever they end up making a Bravely Third, they go back to random encounters and get rid of the stupid ATB system, because seriously, those are the two worst things in the game and they actively make the game unenjoyable at times.
Only reason I'm still pushing through is so I'll be able to say I've played it and then never pick it up again.
But hey, at least it's not as bad as Brilliant Diamond. At least I'm not having emotional breakdowns on wasting 60 dollars on a bad game.

um, okay so.... Seth and his lil "Ya-harrr" thing he does when he uses 'Examine' just don't sound right to me.
I know he's supposed to be a sailor but his accent is neutral af, he ain't got no type of seafarer's twang in it, he doesn't seem to use any seafarer's slang even (at least I haven't heard it yet), and this mf wanna talk about "Ya-harrr~"
