I never made the bosses for the Megaman X hobby-project I did 13 years ago. I aimed for a look somewhere between X3-X4. Crane, Hermit-Crab, Giraffe, Porcupine and Angler are newer. Mosquito, Fox and Possum were based on 25 year old sketches. It was nice to pixel something for fun again.

Continuing my dark souls style boss au with griddlehark. this is the second phase where they "one flesh one end" themselves. inspired by this note by @sunnylucy31
when I drew the first one I did imagine they would have a lyctor/combined second stage to their boss fight, but I didnt do anything ab it until the recent inspiration.
anyway bye gonna go hibernate for a few months

Violet Rockwood is the right-hand woman of the grimwood hag. Her mid-boss fight isn`t too difficult but i like how it incorporates height unlike most bosses and enemies who tends to be grounded.

Been thinking about this as a boss design for a while now, not thinking about how intensely eyestrain-y it would be

Many of Steelrising's enemy designs are fairly simple and basic, but the Bishop of the Cité is one of my favorite designs ever.
I run into his boss arena and the first thing he does is beat me over the head with his Bible the way every street preacher wishes they could. 10/10, would gladly fight again.

Koh the Face Stealer as a Sekiro Boss
I like Avatar - the Last Airbender. I like Sekiro - Shadows Die Twice. So why not try to translate one of my favorite antagonists of the series into a boss in the game.
Koh would be a gimmick boss.
"When you speak with him, you must be very careful to show no emotion at all. Not the slightest expression, or he will steal your face." / "Show no fear. Show no emotion at all." - We transform this, a bit roughly, into "show no reaction". That is: if you block/deflect, he will steal your face and you die. If you dash, he will steal your face and you die. This makes the fight very counterintuitive compared to the other fights in the game, but that is the intention.
Koh's physical attacks would be telegraphed enough that you could dodge them without dashing. Ever so often Koh would switch to another face, which builds up Terror for a time, but after that time it decays again. It should be very unlikely that the face switching fills the Terror bar completely, it is just intended to provoke the reaction of dashing away, which leads to a stolen face.
I guess if we set up that Koh stole the face of someone important, the fight could end with Sekiro cutting off that face from Koh with the Mortal Blade, and then bringing it back to the person it was stolen from, while Koh flees. (Koh could appear again later, but I am not sure what to add for Phase 2.)

Bubo!!
This was a concept art assignment I did last year! This gruesome boy is a miniboss called Bubo, the guard of a small village on the outskirts of a kingdom. He’s based on the bubonic plague and I love him. 😤💕✨

Now that I’m officially done with tormenting Halvah and doing my dumb little attempt at smut and shit, I can complete her character arc by making her a boss proper for BOTW/TOTK, since…lack of Poe/ghost enemies.
Poe Halvah, version 2.
After Ganondorf shanked her, she and her fellow slaughtered spirits are bound to him via Bargaining, supplementing a good portion of his gloom/malice, up until he gets sealed. Then when all his angry period gets leached, it sinks into the depths, and she just sorta…collects and materializes into a skeleton lantern, brainless, angry, sad, blind. She floats around trying to collect souls but she can’t see where the Bargainer statues are anymore, so she spends thousands of years just drifting.
She can be a field boss up to 10 times, and drop 1,000 poes each encounter. But she gets progressively meaner because Link keeps taking her souls and she don’t like that; she wants to save them herself. After she drops the final 1,000, she goes reaper mode with Bargainer face. Maybe…drop a side quest when you beat her, where you can at last delivery her unique Poe to the Grand Bargainer and put her to rest.
Addendum: Lantern Halvah design a small shoutout to the Poe collector, completely forgot about them. That single detached eye in a face/skull a la Duskull evolution line is a favorite element.
Except for the shanking, I didn’t actually write all that. So it goes here.
That’s it.

“Ah, you're finally here." The robot's rusty voice echoes in the large chamber. Dusty sunlight streams in through the holes in the ancient ceiling.
The hero looks around the space, unable to see the source of the voice.
"The gods have been watching you, traveler. Was all that spilled blood worth it? Do you think you were being righteous?" Lava begins to drip from the ceiling, tracing intricate ancient patterns in the walls before it begins to fill something curled around the edge of the covered coliseum. Heat begins to press in on the hero as the ancient thing steadily becomes illuminated.
"Every swing of your sword is recorded in the stars, traveler. The blood within you is no longer your own." The arena shakes as the giant creature begins to move, metal scales scraping across one another as the armored dragon slowly heaves itself to its feet. Glowing lava leaks from the holes rusted in its shell, as blind eye sockets fix on the hero.
"Now, you will answer to the gods. May the depths of the dreaming dark swallow you whole."
The dragon towers over the hero, opening rusted jaws to roar, sealing the door behind them.
Behold, the test of the gods: Solneic'jar, the Sun Dragon.

Progress on the game has been slow but steady. Since i started working on the penultimate boss last night, here a sneak peek of it. To be frank the main reason im showing this one is that It's at such an early and unrecognizable state that it barely qualify as a spoiler.

I finished modeling this monster design I've had for a while. Now I just need to learn rigging... Thinking of calling these things Conscripts... Weird how much work I'm doing just to trace them for a webcomic...
