I've always appreciated Charles Barkley even when he told us that he wasn't a role model.

When Barkley used to rock the Air Force 2s in white, red and blue, which matched the Philadelphia 76ers uniforms perfectly, I wanted a pair but I wasn't able to find a pair.

So, when Nike retroed them in 2002, amidst the throwback jersey-crazed era, I wanted a pair, opted for the white and university gold pair, which I paid $70 for them.
