Favorite BB design detail: the way that eye colors are used for things like scars, noses, and inner bits (ears and tongue). No idea if this is a Basic Ass drawing trick I've simply never encountered, but much every time I see it I pog. It just looks so, so good.

It's an intentional style choice because I'm from the 2000s and I still have not mentally recovered from that one funny forum avatar of a cat with matching neon eyes and tongue licking a screen. Irreparable damage to my psyche. At heart I will always just be a sparkledog.

The tip to making them pop even more is to pick a secondary color that's more saturated, maybe even move around on the color wheel a little bit. Especially when you're coloring yellow eyes-- if you add a second color that's a bit more orange, it makes the color read as golden.

Worst part of working at Fazbear Ent.? Definitely the customer service parts.

Second worst part? Having to clean up after various mysterious "workplace accidents."

Jonah and Lorraine are two of my OCS that are in this circle of my Darling Wonderful OCS aka the ones I actively think about and make content for. They're in the same realm as Dulcie and Eli and Marley and Vio. Which is to say My Main Ocs.

They're also the select few that have a story/narrative of some kind! Of which I'd like to one day actually write or make comics for.

The basics of Jonah is that she's essentially a super soldier experiment, not being "finished" but the newest model that's being worked on. All lab grown, not a "real person" and therefore is not treated as such. She's made as an organic war machine and is extremely strong and durable; tear tanks and armies apart with her bare hands strong and durable. But she's also INSANELY dehumanized and abused within her facility to the point where she's just kind of. Completely apathetic and numb and permanently in a Fight state of being as a defensive mechanism.

She ends up turning on the facility during a regular trial run of her progress and she SLAUGHTERS most of the lab and facility workers. She escapes the facility and doesn't really have anywhere to go so she just Picks Somewhere. She ends up escaping to a city and climbing through a random window post-carnage and meeting Zach. A random fucking English major who can't really do anything about this massive murder woman who is now in his place.

Her entire thing is that she's learning what it means to be human while dealing with A: trauma and PTSD from Everything and B: a government desperate trying to get her back. Big Woman enjoyers who want someone severely emotionally stunted and permanently stressed out but trying her best may like her. Also she's bisexual and her blood is BRIGHT pink.

Lorraine is a chieftess of a sky island that floats over The Abyss, governing it with her two brothers. She basically oversees the safety of the villages and makes sure people are fed and tended to. Things have been getting hard though, as the island keeps crumbling little by little, and the island seems to have been falling apart faster after Lorraine's father died and she took over. She ends up getting betrayed by one of her brother's and challenges to a duel because he blames her for things sucking really bad + he's jealouuuuussss.

Lorraine loses the duel and gets stabbed through the gut with the family spear ( which has lightning magic fun fact ) and physically KICKED over the side of the island by her brother. She falls and falls and falls, spear STILL INSIDE HER, and she falls into The Abyss, which is like. An infinitely stretching void way below the island. If you fall over the edge, you aren't coming back.

But Lorraine falls into The Abyss. And wakes up. In a fucked up new world that is mangled and twisted and decaying. She gets attacked by some [creatures I haven't named yet ValleyStalkers idk] and manages to fight them off with her spear, but just barely. She faints bc of blood loss + exhaustion + lightning magic. But THEN. PLOT TWIST BITCH SHE JUST DRAGGED INTO A LITTLE ROCK SHELTER BY A LITTLE GIRL. PEOPLE CAN LIVE DOWN HERE.

Lorraine gets nursed back to health by this young girl and Lorraine is hellbent on clawing her way back up to the island and slaughtering her brother for his betrayal. And she adopts the girl and sets off on a journey to leave The Abyss. Also she's like in her 40's-50's and is a cool trans woman with a wife. For my woman enjoyers who like a stern and commanding lady who is also very sweet and sacrificial. Also who has a kickass lightning spear passed through her family's lineage.

Lorraine's lore document is collecting dust as we speak but I'd like to finalize some lore of the worldbuilding + Abyss, as well as OTHER CHARACTERS WHO AREN'T MENTIONED BC THE STORY NEEDS DEVELOPED. Jonah doesn't have a lore document yet bc I'm. Lazy.

been itching to plot out something in the horror genre lately. reading into folklore such as Jorōgumo or Noppera-bō is largely what inspired the idea.

really interested in the idea of Kimi as a literal man-eater. a shapeshifting monster/demon/spirit/whathaveyou posing as a beautiful woman just to lure unfortunate men to their deaths. even more interested in plotting out a scene or storyline in which she encounters an individual who equals or surpasses her in power/intelligence, perhaps unphased by her attempts at hypnosis. give her a challenge. or even a reason to believe you're undeserving of meeting a carnivorous end. alternatively, give me a situation akin to a twisted fairytale. Kimiko as a little cabin-dwelling wife, the village "herbalist" [witch, lol] with some prestigious husband/wife. strangely, townsfolk are starting to go missing. why would anyone suspect the sweet wife of the [townleader/whatever]? give me the moment where her husband/wife finds out-- the drama! the confliction of whether to turn her in and burn her at the stake.. or to continue to feed her insatiable hunger.

absolutely wouldn't be opposed for any of these ideas to branch down a path where said individual transforms this fear and disgust of the man-eating Kimiko into an ardent devotion. help feed her despite the blood it gets on your hands, because what's the point of love if it doesn't look at least a little like worship? 👀

sydney  never  expected  to  settle  in  to  a  town  like  crescent  shore,  having  left  a  place  similar  to  it  when  she  turned  eighteen  and  swearing  to  never  return.  after  traveling  along  the  west  coast  for  years  in  hopes  of  finding  a  decent  job,  this  is  where  she  ultimately  ended  up.  a  quaint  little  town  with  beautiful  scenery  surrounding  it.  maybe  this  is  what  she  needed,  a  break  from  the  bustling  cities  she’s  previously  lived  in  to  give  her  mind  a  break.  she’s  never  had  the  chance  to  slow  down  and  allow  herself  to  just  live.  never  stopped  long  enough  to  consider  that  option.  crescent  shore  ended  up  not  being  what  she  initially  thought,  since  the  town  is  currently  in  the  midst  of  a  horrific  homicide  case.  so  much  so  that  there  was  talk  of  some  fancy  detective  coming  in  to  help  the  sheriff  find  the  answers  he  can’t  seem  to  detect  on  his  own.  for  the  first  time  in  ages,  sydney    feels  passionate  about  her  career,  which  is  why  her  show  is  doing  phenomenally  well.  seems  as  if  there  were  plenty  of  skeletons  in  the  closet  here  in  crescent  shore,  and  every  day  a  new  one  came  to  light.  leans  back  in  her  chair,  staring  at  the  lit  up  motherboard  in  front  of  her  as  she  contemplates  the  rest  of  her  day.  she  is  taken  out  of  her  thoughts  as  the  door  opens  from  behind  the  glass  that  separated  the  studio  from  the  lounge  area.  an  unfamiliar  man  steps  through  and  she  sits  up  in  her  chair.     “     can  i  help  you?     ”     she  presses  a  small  red  button  and  leans  into  the  microphone,  question  ringing  out  from  the  intercom  that  is  in  the  room  he  just  entered.

I'm putting together my approach to go back to the doctor again for the first time in 5 years to have the My Body Has Chronic Don't Work Syndrome Please Diagnose Me

however I'm really struggling to put into words the Why I Want A Diagnosis of it all. If you have a chronic illness (I'm specifically pursuing an EDS diagnosis), particularly if it's one for which there's no direct cure or treatment, what's your reasoning for wanting a concrete diagnosis? All takes are useful - physical impairment/pain stuff is the most useful but anything (other physical issues or neurodivergences) will help me get my brain moving.

I mostly tbh just want to know what it is and what to expect. I want to be able to say 'i have these symptoms bc I have EDS.' when Ido physical activity or start a new job or seek medical attention I want to be able to say 'here's a heads up about what my needs are and why.' and tbh I want. validation for the fact I've been in nearly constant pain or neuro fog since I was like 8 years old. bc even though I know it's real there's a big difference between a set of subjective symptoms and a label. like. feels like every few weeks I discover another thing that Isn't A Problem For Anyone Else and it's been literally 20+ years I've been just Getting On With Things.

(it would also help a lot with my sibling's diagnosis, if either of us can get a formal diagnosis it'll smooth the road a lot for the other one and they're a Lot iller than me)
