F-finally... Finally i will have the ability to truly decide who my favorite characters are by reading the natively available story... And i’ll be able to fully decide who to whale and tier for ;~;~;~;~; what an absolutely blessed day

I’m hoping the base stories are available soon upon starting an account so I can decide who i wanna use pick 3*’s/4*’s (?) and stuff on. The characters i’ve distilled it down to are now len, nene, mizuki, shizuku, and miku, with exceptions for extremely based cards, but this could very quickly change

I’m just so glad we’ve gotten this far. So glad to also see the merging of one of the formulas of my favorite games of all time, bandori, with a franchise that i’ve been following since my early years of high school, available for a global audience c: truly does warm me heart

Also excited to potentially have most all the event songs progressing through the year, since i missed them on jp after deciding to hold off on playing at all when translation resources weren’t as easily available. So excited to min-max c:

I’ll probably continue playing my jp account until right up to the release, given the release date being so ambiguous. Afterwards i’ll probably just sunset it and keep it for whenever i want it, and not give away/sell or anything. I am definitely glad that i can reliably dedicate space to having it on my phone

The two cherry blossom-esque events stick out as the two most important events to tier and pull for, they take precedent over almost all items listed lmao

1. When did you start playing?

I’ve played Guild Wars 2 since beta (followed it during the entirety of development with bated breath), and Guild Wars 1 since...*blinks* *runs to look it up*

...I thought I came in maybe a yearish before the end, but I just checked my email and found an old conversation with my now-husband where we were discussing getting me a GW1 account so I didn’t have to play a character on his any more.

I have been playing since half a month after GW1 launched (2005) and I had no idea.

3. How many characters do you have?

11 on NA: 1 of each class, with an extra ranger and thief. The ranger is stuck around level 50 to open bags for crafting supplies, and the thief is remade each week for the level 10 black lion key run. I should probably create a little character intro post someday. Not all of them have special lore or personalities, though.

2 on EU: a thief and a mesmer. I only exist over there to run around with a few friends, NA is very much my main account.

16. Do you enjoy jumping puzzles?

I enjoy succeeding at jumping puzzles. I do not enjoy failing at jumping puzzles. Some of my meds make my hands unsteady at times, which means I need to take my time doing the puzzles - because of that, time-pressured stuff like holiday JPs aren’t things I can do. Gods bless the position rewinder.

18. Do you have a favourite character from the lore?

I mean...*looks at Canach plastered on my blog*

I could write essays on Canach and why I love him. I’m not just talking about my thirst for the guy - his story, from his time as a captured specimen to his time as a villain to now, is probably the most complete NPC development arc in-game. He has delightfully gray morals that have slowly lightened, but I adore that he’s still not a knight in shining armor. (And I hope that he never is.)

You can consistently pick out his defining motivations of freedom and selfishness behind everything he does from the time you first meet him, and he remains a cheeky asshole that’s a little too willing to put people in danger for a few extra seconds so he can draw attention to himself and feel important.

And we know nothing about ~20 years of his life. There’s so much to fill in about what could have happened to make him who he is!

You probably knew I was gonna answer Canach though, so as a bonus I’ll throw in that my second favorite may be Almorra Soulkeeper. She was forced to kill her branded warband, which led to her becoming a gladium and eventually forming the Vigil. Her son was the leader of the charr Separatists and she personally gave us the order to take him down. She’s a grandmother to fully-grown grandcubs yet is still personally leading charges into the Shatterer and Kralkatorrik fights. She has been through a lot, and keeps fighting.

It’s possible we lost her on the platform at the end of "All or Nothing,” but dang, I would not be surprised if she got branded then somehow broke free of it to keep chasing that damn dragon. That woman is a stone-cold badass, and deserves the highest honors she can be given.
