Veronica could always defend herself, always keep a straight face.
Until one day, when she has to do something that makes even herself question, what was she made for.

"Everybody, calm it!" said Jax for the fourth time with an angry expression. Everyone held everyone at gunpoint. The deal with the Mayans went south. The Sons were all in Mayan grounds, they were surrounded.
They came to convince Alvarez to let them sell a shipment of guns near Oakland. Needless to say, El Padrino wasn't too happy about them arming up his streets.
But the Irish were pushing hard on the Sons and they needed to find a buyer ASAP. The Niners didn't buy it. They were deep in shit. A street gang in Oakland was offering just enough money for them to cover the Kings and make some profit for themselves. It would been the perfect situation, only for them weren't on enemy territory.
"It is a one time deal. You get a percentage too." Jax added.
Alvarez laughed. "You white boy you tripping on some shit if you think I will let you sell here."
"At least can we talk through this without pointing the guns?" Veronica said quietly and gestured around with her free hand.
Alvarez shook his head, and signalled to his men to lower their guns.
"Thank you" nodded Jax. The mexican did the same.
"Please Marcus, if we weren't in this situation, we wouldn't ask you something like this. And have another offer." Jax gestured to Veronica to continue.
So this was the part when she had to step in. She found herself in this situation because of a debt. She had to borrow once some money from SAMCRO, and they agreed that instead of fully paying it back in cash, she did something for them.
Her gig was a high end beauty store in the outskirts of Stockton. She imported MAC lipsticks and Uzis. Dior powders and metamphetamine. What was in season. That was her shit.
"If you let them sell this shipment now, I will pay you an allowance in the next three months, Papi. A percentage of sales. The higher the sales, the more money you get" said Veronica and crossed her arms. This was her deal with Jax, this is how she was gonna pay off the rest of her debt.
"What's your business have to do with this?" Alvarez asked.
"Oh, I'm just happy to help out my friends, you know. It's good for business you know if you have powerful relationships with powerful people" said Veronica with a smirk on her face.
Alvarez and her had already crossed ways in multiple occasions. Everybody in that area who dwelt in illegal businesses knew her. She immigrated from Eastern Europe when she was a minor. As an orphan, she quickly had to fend for herself in order to survive in this climate. She was the diva, a woman in power, who was not involved in porn or prostitution, but instead, in their trade. She was a curiosity nonetheless.
Plus Veronica was young and pretty. She had long dirty blonde hair, which she always wore wavy, and big blue eyes which stared so intensely into everyones' eyes. She was tall, almost the same height as Alvarez. She was athletic but very curvy at the right places, and slim where she needed to be. She was always told when she was a kid that she was "big boned". In the California sun, her skin was a bit more tan that originally, but still, she was a light shade of cream.
Overall, she looked beautiful. But her beauty was always overshadowed by who she was. She always wore combat boots, leather or cargo pants, utilitarian clothing, jackets, denim. She almost carried herself like a man sometimes, but she still had that feminine softness in her. The way she spoke, she was wise, determined and playful at the same time.
Of course she caught Marcus Alvarez's eye. It was always his fantasy to absolutely hatefuck the shit out of that smartass blanca. To make her cry and make her beg for it. He was curious, what else she could do with that pretty, pouty mouth besides playing tough.
"Jax, how much do you need this deal?" asked Alvarez.
"I think I aleardy layed it out for you. I need this" replied Jax with a stern voice. "Ask anything else, I give it to you"
Alvarez was thinking for a second.
"Alright. I let you sell it. You give my my 100 grand. And the percentage for her sales."
"Thank you, ese" Jax said and he couldn't hide his relief.
"There is one more thing, you." Alvarez said straight to Veronica.
The woman raised her brows.
"Me? Yes?"
"No, I mean I want you. For one night." Marcus looked her in the eyes.
Veronica got really confused at first, then it dawned on her.
"What?" The question left her lips so silently that even Jax could barely understand.
The air froze and everyone stared at her.
She rarely felt anxious. The feeling of anxiety was only familiar to her from memories. When she was in fifth grade, and in the winter, the boys would come and drag the most pretty and popular girls in the snow, kicking snow in their faces and ruining their clothes. She always hated that. Her stomach sank every time when recess came. How the boys cornered her and dragged her out in the snow.
But now, she felt the anxiety. A flash of cold washed over her.
"What?" she asked, but the question felt like it wasn't even aimed at Alvarez in particular. It was aimed at everyone. Did she really need to do this for the Sons?
"Chill out, ninita. You spend a night with me. A whole night" said Alvarez with a smirk on his face.
"You a funny man" Veronica said, and now her anxiety slowly turned to anger.
"Easy now" intervened Jax. He pulled Veronica to the side.
"Listen, I don't want this to be this way. But you have to say yes. As much as I know that this is wrong. Please" Jax looked at her with pleading eyes. "They will kill my family if we don't get a buyer" he spoke the last sentence almost as a whisper.
Veronica felt sorry for Jax, but at the same time wanted to laugh him and everyone in the face. What is she? What is she in the eyes of these men?
Really, a night with her?
It didn't take much thought to figure out what were Alvarez's intentions. She always could tell if someone wanted her.
She always put people into four categories: the ones with mutual attraction, even if it was platonic, the ones with no attraction, and the ones who either were attracted to her, but she wasn't to them, and the ones with the opposite.
Marcus Alvarez was in the first category. She found the man good-looking, but this didn't help the situation, that he demanded a night with her, so he could use her as he will. No one does this to her. No one touches her without her consent.
And now she had to give consent. The Mayans were snickering, the Sons stared at them and at their leader with rage. But they had to stay quiet, she was doing this for them.
"Okay. Tell me where to go and when." said Veronica finally, completely defeated.
"Just be ready tonight by 9. I will pick you up at your house" said Alvarez "now go, get the fuck out of my crib."
Jax ushered the Sons out. Veronica only looked straight ahead, pretending to not see the concerned stares.
"Oh, and wear a dress, look pretty" added Alvarez as he turned his back on Veronica.

Ain't your mama ch2 act 1
Age 6.
Sage trager was now six years old and was on a swing being pushed by a seventeen year old tara , whereas a now three year old Jess was being pushed by a nineteen year old jax teller.
It wasn't untill a roar of bikes alerted The four , but it wasn't Samcrow , It was the mayans from the oakland charter , the sons and mayans have bad blood between them , Territory issues and much more.
Marcus alvarez , not to be confused with marcus coleman , their deadbeat father, had got off of his bike looking towards Jax and the girls , Sage swore she saw a boy around her age get off the bike.
"Relax we're here to celebrate a birthday party later on , we don't want no problems." Alvarez stated to the younger male who went towards him.
"Mijo go play while the adults talk." He continued as a boy no older than seven nodded his head rushing over to the swings where the girls were at.
"Podría conseguir una niñita blanca para ser su futura anciana ." His vp Smirked as The mayans cackled like a bunch of hyenas , even alvarez cracked a smile.
(Might bag himself a little white girl to be his future old lady)
"Watch it." Jax warned before looking towards the swings where tara was with the girls , watching as the boy ran up to sage who had jumped off the swing... right onto him.
......
"Ouch." the boy said before looking at the face of an angel , an angel that currently had her knees embedded into his stomach.
"Oops." Sage trager said with a deadpan look on her face getting up , instead of lending a hand , she yanked the boy up by his shirt.
"Im Sage trager , and you are?" Sage questioned the boy , knowing full well about the sons and the mayans.
"Esai , Esai Alvarez at your service!" The boy exclaimed holding out his fist for a fist bump.
Instead of doing the same action , Sage trager took the fist in her hand shaking it , as if it was a normal hand shake , Esai was confused and highly amused as he stared at his new friend.
Jess starteed laughing as Tara looked worriedly towards the area Jax and The mayans were , noticing Tig,Clay,and piney had arrived.
Sage however was busy staring into Esai's soul , while Esai was staring into hers,Tara thought that either they were enchanted by eachother or ready to strike if the other made one wrong move.
"Kissy kissy." Jessie screamed laughing , Sage released Esai's hand , her nose scrunching up in confusment , Esai on the other hand was blushing.
Tig Ran zig zags to pick up his niece from the boy , yes tiggy went ziggy zaggy.
"Not my innocent niece!" He exclaimed as Esai looked at him with a bored look.
"Your 'innocent' niece has stabbed,poked, and prodded at Jax more than enough times." Tara stated to the weird man.
"Detail's shmehtails." Tig said with a resting bitch face.
"That's not even a word." Sage said before kicking her leg back hitting tigs knee , allowing her to free herself.
"It is a word if it came out of my mouth and I said it." Tig stated.
"Shmehtails , SHMEHTAIL'S!" Jess screeched as Tara took her out of the baby swing.
The Sons and Mayans agreed that they would not fight today , and went there seperate
ways , oh and Esai had kissed Sage's hand as a goodbye causing tig to let out an inhuman screech.
Who knew the Son of a Mayan Presidenté would fall for the niece of Samcrows resident freakshow.

Age 8 :
An Eight year old Sage and a five year old Jess were watching as Their Mother and Gemma were speaking with their eyes , a day earlier Tara knowles left charming after watching the girls , tucking them in and then bidding goodbye.
"Where are you going?" Sage asked.
"Somewhere to help me become a Doctor , and one day I'll come back okay?,This isn't a goodbye more like a see you later." Tara said finishing the book , tucking her in , Jess was sprawled across the bed already sleeping.
"But what if it's already too late?" Sage whispered.
"What do you mean?" Tara said confused.
"You can get out , you have no ties , but me and jess are the nieces of a samcro member , we have targets on our backs just for being related to them , your leaving , leaving this town and Jax with it , cutting those ties makes you safe , If you leave , you should never come back,coming back will get you killed." The eight year old said as she closed her eyes falling into a deep sleep.

"Im just saying I never liked the girl." Gemma said to maeve.
'Don't be mean Gem she was a sweet girl , your just mad you didn't get a grandchild out of it , she got out of this town to study being a doctor , lets just pray she won't come back if she knows what's good for her sanity.' Maeve signed , letting out a huff.
"Yeah Yeah." Gemma said waving her hand around as the bikes rode into the lot.
Sage looked down at her hands that held a small skeleton of a bird,wondering if it was true that a warm light awaited you or if the darkness engulfed you into a cold eternal hell.
"Uncle tiggy!" Jess exclaimed laughing as She was picked up.
"Uncle Tiggy look I found a dead bird!" Sage exclaimed.
"Good job It's still in good condition too." Tig said , Now condoning this behavior might not be normal , but neither are the tragers.
"Jax has been a pissy baby because tara left him." Sage said spinning around before looking at tig.
"Have not!" Jax said coming over and messing up her hair.
'Have too.' Sage mouthed before Jess stuck her tongue out calling Jax a pissy baby like her sister just had.
"PISSY BABY PISSY BABY JAXIE IS A PISSY BABY!" Jess said before screeching as Jax chased after them with the help of opie.
The two twenty one year olds the eight year old and the five year old , ran across the lot of the teller-morrow garage screaming and laughing.
Maeve trager watched her girl's with a smile on her face , snapping picks to send to happy,She wished this could last forever , but life with the mc was never easy.

Slow and Steady
Just like the quiet, continuous backing of friends and family is the most empowering form of support, sometimes steady treatment is more effective than large single bursts of medicine. Colorectal cancers are particularly deadly when they spread to other parts of the body, which can happen even in patients who have the initial tumour surgically removed. Experiments have tried to reduce this spread by boosting the immune system with interferon alpha – a small protein that helps coordinate the immune system – but found limited success because of the side-effects of a heavy dose. A new study instead supplied a small steady stream of interferon alpha to mice with implanted tumours. Spread to the liver (pictured, cancer cells in green) was reduced as the immune system was better equipped to fend off intruders, and there were minimal side-effects. This approach might ultimately increase the efficacy of tumour removal surgery, keeping cancer away.

Recibo una notificación del Banco comunicándome que la comunidad de este edificio me habia embargado la cuenta el 15 diciembre 2021 y me habia quitado el dinero correspondiente al pago de las costas de un juicio que perdí en el año 2015 contra la comunidad por el ruido de los motores colindantes a mi domicilio y que no reconocieron que existiese, a pesar de contar yo con un certificado de la policía dando por hechos los ruidos y que por ese motivo había sido multada la comunidad. Tanto la presidenta enferma mental (CVA)CONCEPCIÓN VELAZQUEZ ALVAREZ, lavicepresidenta analfabeta total (FMB)FLORENTINA MINGUELA BAYON y el administrador sin estudios ni colegiar y de profesión conocida vigilante jurado (ECM) EUGENIO CORRAL MORAL testificaron mintiendo y no solo eso, presentaron un escrito de los mantenedores de los motores en el que se decía que funcionaban correctamente y que eran totalmente silenciosos. Pese a esto perdí el juicio y me condenaron a costas. Milagros de la justicia en esta ciudad.
Desde el 2015 en ningún momento nadie me las reclamó. Supuse no lo habían hecho por vergüenza dada la desfachatez de su declaración. En ningún momento me exigió nadie el pago y no tuve nunca ninguna noticia más, cuando sin reclamación pertinente y sin ningún aviso, ni por parte de la comunidad, ni del banco, ni del juzgado, me encuentro con el hecho consumado de que me han embargado la cuenta y se han llevado el dinero.
¿Quién ha realizado la fechoría? El abogado (JRAH) JUAN RAMÓN ALCOLEA DE LA HOZ del delincuente que nos administra (EMG)EUGENIO CORRAL MORAL. Encima me llega una nota del juzgado donde este sujeto pretende que le pague el servicio de la gestión que ha realizado. ¡Estudiar una carrera universitaria para terminar haciendo estas chapuzas! ¡Manda narices!
Responsable de esto? Como siempre el títere mamarracho presidente de la comunidad que obtuvo el puesto a través de un flagrante pucherazo (SBL)SANTIAGO BILBAO LAUCIRICA, que firma todo lo que le ponen por delante y parece analfabeto funcional y que además habitualmente no está en el edificio ni vive en Benidorm.
Con este dinero, que no voy a reclamar judicialmente porque me saldría más caro, llevo gastado alrededor de 30.000 euros TREINTA MIL, por denuncias falsas, juicios por bobadas sin sentido, amenazas en juzgado, que habitualmente pierden pero que lo mismo les da, etc. etc. con la única finalidad de hacerme gastar y gastar ya que saben perfectamente que no tengo derecho a justicia gratuita, gracias a Dios. Pero a ellos les paga la casa, o sea yo y los demás.
¿Causa de este encono? Sencillamente que formando parte de la junta como Censor de Cuentas destapé graves irregularidades administrativas y de todas clases pero sobre todo económicas y que lo demostré hasta con acta notarial. (todo pagado de mi bolsillo) Y seguimos igual, mandando en el edificio un grupito que se lo lleva crudo y el resto dóciles como borreguitos amedrentados. Con lo cual piensan que con estas charranadas propias de gente de baja estofa que es lo que son, van a conseguir neutralizarme, pero se están equivocando.
Lo único que puedo decir, si Dios me lo permite y me da tiempo, aunque los 80 los cumplí hace ya algún año, que esta gentuza, TANTO a los que estuvieron aquí robando desde hace décadas y los que siguen en la actualidad, como los que lo permiten, es que se lo voy a cobrar ¡A TODOS! de una manera u otra. ¡¡¡ NO SE VAN A IR DE ROSITAS!!!

Millions of Kids Would Lose Health Care if Covid-19 Emergency Coverage Ends
Some 40 million children currently enrolled in Medicaid or CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program) nationwide are at risk of losing their health insurance once the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE) expires. Declared in early 2020, the PHE provides a federal guarantee of continuous Medicaid coverage during the pandemic.
Initially set to expire on July 15, the Biden administration last week extended the declaration to October 15.
According to the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), of the 5.7 million children covered by Medi-Cal (California’s Medicaid health care program) in the state, between 800,000 to 1.2 million kids will lose their coverage once the PHE expires. States, meanwhile, will have to once again verify eligibility for those enrolled in Medicaid, including kids.
“This will disproportionately impact children of color, who are more likely to rely on Medicaid for coverage,” said Mayra Alvarez, president of The Children’s Partnership, during a May 20 briefing hosted by Ethnic Media Services.
“Seventy five percent of the more than five million kids covered are kids of color who will miss out on critical preventive and primary care services that are especially important for our youngest children.”
Under the PHE, families could stay enrolled in health care coverage through Medicaid without additional administrative renewals or having to prove their eligibility. Free COVID testing and treatments, vaccinations, telehealth access and other public programs were also available.
“Children still need to catch up on their well child visits that were not only missed during this pandemic, but that are particularly important during the first few years of a child’s life when 90% of her brain development occurs,” said Alvarez.
For Georgina Maldonado, Executive Director of the Community Health Initiative of Orange County, these changes have helped address longstanding systemic barriers “we have been fighting historically as a community.”
“If this is working, why bring back the barriers that have prevented us from obtaining healthcare coverage?” Maldonado said.
California Governor Gavin Newsom has launched a multibillion-dollar initiative to prioritize child and youth mental health, including early care and learning investments. Thanks to grassroots organizations like Maldonado’s, undocumented children are now eligible for full scope Medi-Cal, which includes health, dental and vision care. Despite these efforts, less than half of uninsured children who are eligible for Medicaid are enrolled in the program.
That is why the Children’s Partnership has been working with Assembly member Blanca Rubio (D-Baldwin Park) on AB 2402, which would guarantee multi-year continuous Medi-Cal coverage for kids aged 0-to-5 years. The Senate has included the bill in their list of budget priorities now under negotiation with the Assembly.
“The opposition to the bill comes from people who believe poverty is a personal responsibility, and that there should be steps for people to prove their eligibility for these programs,” added Alvarez. “Some people are concerned with the cost of programs more broadly.”
At the federal level, the expiration of the PHE will mean 80 million people—including 37 million children—will need to have their eligibility verified, said Joan Alker, healthcare research professor and executive director at the Georgetown University Center for Children and Families.
“Families could lose coverage as they’re not going to be eligible if their income has gone up a little bit. Adults may be eligible for subsidized marketplace coverage and children may be eligible for CHIP,” explained Alker. “In some states like California, Medicaid and CHIP are all in one program now. But in Texas, Georgia and Florida, they’re not.”
States will have 12 months to verify eligibility once the PHE expires. States can also reject the extra funding, while Congress could act to lift the Medicaid continuous coverage protection on a certain date. The Biden administration said it would give states 60 days advance notice if they plan to lift the PHE.
“It’s not that easy to enroll in Marketplace coverage, particularly for families with limited English proficiency. I worry greatly that these are the kinds of families that we’re going to lose during this process. We’re going to need a lot of community support to educate folks and help them through this transition,” said Alker.

Healthcare advocates are encouraging families to take a simple step: update their contact information.
“It is critical because the counties who are beneficiaries (of the Medicaid program) usually contact families every year through this renewal redetermination process,” explained Yingjia Huang, assistant deputy director at the DHCS.
In April, the department rolled out an initiative called ‘DHCS coverage ambassadors’ to encourage community-based organizations and advocates to spread the word through social media messages, flyers, and direct calls in 90 languages to encourage families to update their addresses and phone numbers.
