Apologies for the lateness! Been kinda away from tumblr for a few days and didn't notice the notification, but I'm here now aksjhakfh Regarding that WIP...

This one is also a scene from a fic! It's a bit of a spoiler, but it's for the end of chapter two of The Lone Wolf Dies (But the Pack Survives) by Child_OTKW. Though the wip isn't much right now, I also plan to make that whole scene into a comic, and again it'll be a while before I get to finish it.

I'm a simple person who doesn't need many things to feel happy.

– The moments of conviviality with my loved ones.

– A kind word or a gentle gesture.

– A walk in the forest.

– Reading and writing.

– A kind comment on one of my fics - short or long, it doesn't matter what language, I love them all. I also love it when an author responds to the comments I leave on their fics, because for me, fandom should be synonymous with sharing, conviviality and good times.

One of my favorites is The Winter of Our Discontent, which is also one of my least popular ones. I understand why. It's a rated M gen fic with graphic violence and MCD, inspired by Shakespeare's Richard III, and that's not a concept I ever expected to have wide appeal. I had a great time writing it, though, and I'm really proud of how it came out, especially the bit at the end that mirrors Act 5 Scene 3. I do see a lot of parallels between Voldemort and Richard (as portrayed by Shakespeare). And I got to play around with my headcanons about Lily being a fan of classic Muggle literature, so that was fun.

Another that I really like is A Little Bird Told Me, which is a longer (~50K word) Regulus-centric fic. It was really interesting writing Regulus as an adult, in his thirties, who never had a single shocking moment of "oh, crap, I picked the wrong side" but has long since moved on with his life by the time Voldemort comes back. I got really attached to his OC daughter and enjoyed exploring how fatherhood - especially being the father of a child who his family would have expected him to disown - might change his perspective. I wrote this fic in a very short time frame compared to my other long-ish multi-chapters, but I never had a problem with writer's block or lack of inspiration, it sort of took hold of me and refused to let me go until it was finished.

And I really like Stockings and Floo Powder, which is my take on Sirius running away from home. I think framing the whole thing around Christmas worked pretty well, contrasting the Black brothers' childhood Christmases with the awful one that's going down at the moment, as well as the Blacks' Christmas traditions with the Potters'. How families act around the holidays can say a lot about them, I think: are they genuinely happy to spend time in each other's company, or going through the motions in a room full of awkward tension and arguments? And I really like the moment where Sirius and Regulus exchange gifts, knowing it's probably the last time they'll ever do so.

I think my favourite fanfic I’ve wrote so far has to be Christmas with Aesop Sharp, who doesn’t love a bit of smut right 😍🤣

Honestly, I write exclusively at a tiny laptop desk from my living room sofa. This is also where I've spent about 98.7% of my waking hours since April 2020.

Oh, geez. I pride myself on "zingers" and dialogue. There's a lot to choose from here.. I might not be able to choose just one. "That's right, little witch: your continued existence is entirely at my discretion." (Rookwood's Revenge 4) I also really love this line from the "poem" I wrote about Loser Lookgood: "And let's not forget my trademark hat. It just isn't me if I'm not wearing that."
