OK, I also bought a fuchsia ...and a few other potted plants. With my crop sensor Canon 90D, my 105mm macro lens is approximately equivalent to 168mm on a 'full frame' DSLR.

Autumn Walk Around Willow Lake... with my dog Ginger. Nearing the end of peak color the weekend before Thanksgiving. (re-edited, gave the images time they deserved - blended in and revised a few distracting elements such as unnaturally bright areas in the clouds)

Daybreak at the Grand Canyon... It was finally time to return (it's only been 11 years :/ though most of that time, it was a 10 hour drive, instead of 2 1/2 hours). I started my drive from Prescott around 4:20 and arrived for this photo a little before 7. The wind was blowing about 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph. In spite of the blustery weather, I need to plan more visits ;)

Looking West from Desert View... Grand Canyon, at the East end of the South Rim.

Morning by Willow Lake The water continues to recede, as the city lets more water out into the local aquifer ...and as temperatures rise. Early in the day is the ideal time to commune with nature.

Morning Mist Over Willow Lake... We had some snow during the week and I just had to stop for this photo on my way to work Friday. The lake is just a hint under 1 mile in altitude, and the temperatures are typically above freezing during the day, so it doesn't stick around for long - but it's nice while it lasts ;)

Grand Canyon Morning Light... looking North from somewhere along the South Rim.

Watchtower at Desert View... East end of Grand Canyon South Rim. It was very breezy with wind gusting to 50 mph this morning (March 2nd), so it was also a bit chilly - probably why there weren't a lot of people around.

Willow Lake Landscapes... with a long lens. The trees are budding and spring is evident all around. Water levels are lower than this time last year, but hopefully we will have a nice long wet monsoon season this summer ;).

Familiar Trails Transformed... by the snow. Ginger still finds thing that smell interesting in spite of the cold.

Creek at Willow Lake... a few days after the storm that left 4-5 inches of snow. Up until a couple weeks ago, I was taking regular walks with my dog Ginger through this creek bed.
