I like to play Bioshock level by level, last night we finished Arcadia and gotta say I think it’s my favourite Rapture location. As someone who loves gardens and aquariums it’s a stellar combo. Plus there’s so many hidey holes in that level!! I love a hidey hole! Wish Julie got to hang around a bit longer though.

How Bioshock 1 Characters Act When They Have A Crush

You can tell when Jack starts feeling a certain type of way toward you by how eager he is to help you out. It’d range from him offering to carry your bags to using small bursts of Incinerate! when you’re cold. He'll slowly find that he's happiest when you're near and will try to be around you as often as he can. He’ll invite you out to dinner, or to the movies, or on a walk - he doesn’t care! He’d follow you wherever as long as you were having fun. The little sisters will have to tug at his pant legs a lot because he falls completely into a trance whenever you enter the room. He's so embarrassed by it, but he just can't help resting his head in his hands when you start to cross his mind again.

Atlas hates it. It's the last thing he needs and will progressively get more and more aggressive the longer it goes on. It's not necessarily directed at you, but toward any other poor bystander who just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He'll give you easier tasks - something that doesn’t require you to leave any of the revolutionary bases - and will be firmer when it comes to your safety. You're not going to be fighting in the war and you're not going to be allowed in the room while he's interrogating someone. He’ll do anything in his power to prevent you from finding out just how violent he, and the rest of Rapture, can be.

Andrew Ryan will try to court you as any gentleman should. He’ll pay your rent, ask you out to dinner, and buy you all sorts of extravagant gifts and trinkets. He's under the impression that the best way to someone's heart is by presenting them with endless options and possibilities, and he can offer just that. He'll get you modeling gigs, use your voice in the Rapture Reminders, and grant you anything you'd ever wished for. He’ll shower you with mountains of materialistic items until you realize that he truly is the best option.

When Tenenbaum begins to develop feelings for someone, she tends to be far more keen on listening to them. She has a habit of wanting to correct people whenever they make a mistake, but with you, she finds that she's worried she'll come off too harsh. She also happens to be a little bit of a hopeless romantic and will write out entire lists of things that remind her of you just so she can better chart how strongly she’s feeling it. Sometimes she may even write short poems in the corners of her documents, although, she'd never dare show them to you.

You’re going to see a lot more of your features in Steinman’s patients, whether that be for better or for worse. He feels inspired by your mere presence and will frequently send you telegrams asking if you’d like to sit in on one of his surgeries or maybe just asking if you’d like to be a model for him? He wants to run his fingers across your face so badly, besides, studying your bone structure would help him perform more successful procedures, and wouldn't that be for the best?

Sander is probably the last person you want to have a crush on you. Somehow, he’ll find a way to get ahold of you and when he does, you’ll be his central muse, his inspiration for every sculpture, painting, play, poem - everything. He’ll quickly become very controlling over where you are and what you’re doing - he has to! You hold so much importance, not only to him but to the entire artist community in Rapture! Just pray he doesn’t lose this whimsical interest in you, or you may end up dead.

Fontaine is actually quite kind. Manipulative, sure, but he’d never dream of harming you. He’s got a lot of enemies, so one of the biggest signs that he’s started to grow fond of you is how protective he'll become. You'll slowly start to realize that whenever you leave your house, you're always being trailed by a handful of suspiciously inconspicuous men. He'd hate it if you somehow got involved with his political game, so the bodyguards he has following you all about Rapture are a precaution of his. He’s also a massive gift-giver. Mostly when it comes to clothing. He’ll send boxes of beautifully made outfits just because he likes seeing you all dolled up. Especially when it’s for him, in clothes that his company made.

Julie will be super tense around you. She's got a slight perfectionist streak and will constantly seek to be her best when she's around you. She relaxes a lot more when the two of you actually get together, but for now, she'll stand up straight, smooth out her dress, and shroud herself in all sorts of perfume. There are times when she may come off a tad harsh because of how desperately she wants to appear as smart in front of you, but she'll make up for it later when she leaves a bouquet of flowers and a sweetly written note on your doorstep.

Diane's quite confident in her approach. She'll most likely just start flirting with you outright, dragging her perfectly manicured nails down the front of your shirt while she compliments your outfit of the night. Then she'll tiptoe her fingers up your shoulder, bat her eyes, and ask if you'd like to move the conversation to the bar. Never one to be afraid of rejection and adores the attention you provide to her. If you're lucky she may even leave you with a kiss to remember her with.

Since my friend and I are playing Bioshock 1, i wanted to share some of the things that have happened so far:

- We sat and watched the plane fully sink

- "OUGH?!" < her reaction to the giant Ryan statue

- Right off the bat she didn't trust Atlas and said his wife and child aren't real

- Every security bot is named Jeff

- The wrench is also Jeff(rey Bezos)

- We spent 30 minutes trying to get to Steinman because I forgot I has to throw the bombs at the debris blocking the entrance

- We went through 4 nitro splicers before I realized something wasn't right. I do this everytime. I literally replayed Bioshock like 2 weeks ago and forgot how to do that

- I've died more times in this playthrough than I ever have in Bioshock 1

- Keeps asking me if Atlas is evil, I keep telling her no and that he's my babygirl

- I've been spoon feeding her Atlas propaganda so hopefully she'll trust him by the end

- LOVES the little sisters, terrified of big daddys. She screamed the first time we had to fight one

- I tried to get the first bouncer stuck behind the register in the Medical Bay, but absolutely shredded him before I could

- The women were too stunned to speak

- We sat under the floor of the McCracken Crab trying to kill a Rosie. I died.

- I also hid under the floor of the Fisheries and smacked Splicers that walked overhead

- I got killed by a (different) Rosie like 5 times before I finally killed her

- Also ran from the third Rosie repeatedly before I finally killed him

- She chose target dummy for our first real plasmid

- I've only ever used it when losing control of the plasmids. So I've only used it once-

- Me: God I hate Andrew Ryan

Her: Bash his brains in

Me: *Hephaestus flashbacks* Oh I'm gonna

- Spider splicer: *angry screeching*

Me: New wife for you

Her: Great, thanks

- Hates it everytime I say "Snappies"

- I spent way too long looking for the final spider splicer before realizing I could take a picture of a dead one

- She did trust Peach Wilkins though (Somehow??)

- "I've got a really bad feeling about this" intensifies

- Yelled "THIS IS YOUR MAN⁉️" When Atlas walked out and almost missed Ryan's speech and the splicers bc of it

- Predicted the sub would blow up, but was shocked when it actually did

- I think she begrudgingly trusts Atlas now, his acting is peak

- I also went on a 2 minute rant about him and she made fun or me the entire time

- *finds a crawlspace full of Atlas posters*

Me: Oh my god, this is where I live!!

Her: NO

Me: With my Atlas posters and my.. Pistol bullets??

Her: N O !!

- #1 Langford stan (she's in love with her)

- Got jumpscared by the Houdini splicer that appears behind you (We both screamed)

- I was laughing bc his shadow was looming over us, then slowly turned around and we had a staring contest before I finally shot him in the face

- I've literally never seen him just sit there before?? He always disappeared as soon as I turned around. Wild

- She compared Langford writing the code on the window to 11307 from Danganronpa (iykyk)

- Cue disappointed sighing (Not really, I laughed really hard)

- This entire playthrough has just been me aggressively hitting on Atlas and her reevaluating our friendship

- Not even the posters are safe

- "Who is Atlas?"

Me: My husband

Her: UGH

- Saying "This is for me!!" every time I see an Atlas poster

- She is genuinely considering killing me

- Made me harvest a little sister to see what would happen 😔 We reloaded tho it's okay

- I've found so many secrets in this playthrough, including a vent that goes to a meat locker in the Farmers Market

- It felt like I was getting chased by everyone in Rapture while trying to make the Lazarus Vector

- I also (somehow) shot the big daddy in Langford's office while fighting splicers

- That was terrifying

- *Enters Fort Frolic* Me: It's about to get real silly

- I've been hyping up Cohen this entire time because I knew she would like him

- Unfortunately, she does

- She gagged at the "expectant mama" line

- Got jumpscared AGAIN by the splicer in the basement of Sinclair Spirits

- "SINCLAIR WHAT THE FUCK"

- I can never find the record store when I play Bioshock, this time was no different

- I gave up and went after Hector instead

- When we met Silas Cobb she yelled "KITTENS??"

- She agrees Silas is a discord mod

- We spent like 2 minutes straight trying to catch Hector and Silas

- I also got jumped by a bunch of splicers every time I tried to kill a bouncer

- She lost it at Cohen walking down the stairs

- "HIS GAY ASS WALK"

- I smacked Cohen after his speech and immediately ran

That's all so far, but we'll hopefully play some more this week!

May I request a romantic or romantic/platonic yandere concept or alphabet for Julie Langford from Bioshock? - 🍂 For a concept, I was thinking it could be with a darling who's some combination of sheltered/innocent/spoiled and in for a VERY rude awakening when Rapture starts falling apart - but a general concept with a less specific darling is competely okay ^^ I remember you saying that alphabets are actually easier to write most of the time, so I would be equally happy with one of those instead!

Uhh... hm, sure. I can't say there will be much detail as her character isn't really threatening at all but I can try.

Yandere Alphabet - Julie Langford

Pairing: Platonic/Romantic

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Kidnapping/Isolation, Drugging/Poison, Gassing, Manipulation, Unhealthy power dynamic, Dubious/Forced companionship, Mostly tame.

Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?

Julie is an older woman who has dedicated her life to botanical studies. She spends most of her time in Arcadia studying. As a result she doesn't have many close to her.

However, maybe you could be her assistant in her research. That would be a way for you two to share a connection. Plus it incorporates her line of work.

Julie would be one to bond through her love of botany. Her obsession is rather tame and soft for the most part and she isn't that intense. Yet she's still very capable.

Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

Not very messy. She feels killing to keep you beside her makes her like those problematic Splicers.

Maybe if she'd have to she could make a poison to remove unwelcome guests around you, but she prefers to keep things non-lethal.

Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?

If she did abduct you she'd treat you with care. She doesn't appear to be a violent person and is probably one of the most sane ones in Rapture.

If she "abducted" you in Arcadia she would claim it's because of the Splicers. She would also not mock you as her assistant.

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

She tries not to yet she is someone you work under. If she asked you to do something you'd probably do it. If not... she'll try to convince you it's for a specific reason.

She uses subtle manipulation.

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

She cares for you quite a bit be it platonic or romantic. She's a bit vulnerable about you yet not much.

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

She'd think it's irritating, upsetting, and pointless. She isn't hurting you in her mind. If anything she's caring for you.

Would you rather suffer at the hands of Rapture's Splicers?

Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?

Not a game and she certainly does not like it when you try to escape.

Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?

Julie doesn't do much to make her a yandere other than some manipulation and distaste for other people.

However, the worst thing she'd do is drug you in some way to lock you in Arcadia. She has an extensive knowledge of plants so she most likely knows what does what.

Maybe she drugs your food or gasses you with some sort of plant based knock out drug. By the time you wake up she's locked you in her lab. That would be the worst thing she'd do to you.

She betrays your trust and isolates you... yet tries not to hurt anyone.

Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

It depends on how she feels for you.

Platonic: She plans to keep you her most treasured assistant. She'll keep you in Arcadia as long as she's there and teach you all she knows. You'll become her protégé.

Romantic: Very similar to the platonic version except this time she sees you as a potential lover. She wants to bond with you through botany, maybe even planning dates around it. She'll keep you in Arcadia just like the other version, except this time as her future spouse.

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

Not really. She's a bit too mature for vocal jealousy yet she does appear annoyed when others speak to you. She blames it on them ruining potential research time.

She copes but will appear annoyed.

Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?

I imagine Julie would be very caring towards her assistant while being colder to everyone else. She adores you and is very attentive to what you do in Arcadia. Everything from passing around notes and research or just speaking with her is enough to make her happy

She isn't very physically affectionate yet if you needed comfort or were affectionate yourself, she'd indulge because you like it. She's caring and it's hard to tell there's anything wrong.

Let alone that she's a yandere.

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

It would be slow and not very planned until maybe the very end.

You two meet in Arcadia due to a shared interest and work with one another. Then things would develop from there. She isn't a big one for stalking, just keeping you with her. That's how you'd meet... later on she would most likely get a little bit worse.

Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?

She's softer with you because she genuinely cares about you.

Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

She doesn't really have to/need to. But if a time comes where she does have to make you comply... she may try to make a plant solution that would make you calmer.

Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?

Not any if she doesn't need to.

Patience: How patient are they with their darling?

Very patient.

Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?

Probably would with time but she'll try to prevent it in any way she can.

Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?

A little and she may let you go, unless it's dangerous.

Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?

It's unknown for her, but it may be because you're one of the closest people she knows.

Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?

She'd comfort you the best she can and offer any remedy she thinks will help.

Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?

You can barely tell she's yandere as she isn't really violent.

Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?

It's not hard, if you say you'll accompany you somewhere she may let you. She isn't very strict.

Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?

No.

Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?

She cares for you but isn't a worship yandere.

Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?

A long time, maybe until Rapture falls.

Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?

No.
