honestly. to be frank. attempting to navigate anime/manga communities as a japanese person can be really exhausting and i wish people would every so often take a breath and think about the way they are interacting with japanese culture and the potential implications of their words. i do get it's kind of difficult to do this kind of interrogation of yourself but i promise it's also exhausting to try to work around the effects of people failing en masse to do so.
