I just wanted to bring out that whatever negative speculation we have about AH’s lawyers: that they are the worst attorneys, that they must have this hate towards JD and his lawyers. We should remember that they are for the most part just doing their jobs. Yes they come off like they have a disdain towards the opposing side but they are trying to argue for their client. And a lot of lawyers have had times where they’ve done a bad job or took on a bad client or is just fighting a case where the evidence is not on their side. I’ve legit heard a lawyer who represented someone who is clearly guilty of murder, say on closing to “Just ignore the evidence; my client couldn’t have killed this person because he came from a good family”.

Ben Rottenborn to the jury: "Give her her voice back."
Me: "I think she's been using her voice plenty, Ben, and she's been heard. Hell, it's in her name, isn't it?"

Depp Defender Logic
Amber’s admittance to hitting Johnny in an audio recording means she’s clearly guilty! Case closed! Oh, but Johnny’s admittance to headbutting Amber in an audio recording doesn’t necessarily mean anything, and neither do the texts he and his personal assistant sent to Amber apologizing for him kicking her.
One of the worst things Amber did was cut off Johnny’s finger. This is definitely what happened despite the fact that Johnny said in multiple private conversations with close friends, doctors, and Amber herself that he cut his own finger off. His exact phrasing doesn’t matter because he clearly meant that she cut it off. Another piece of evidence that Amber’s lying is her accidentally admitting to using a bruise kit instead of a color correcting kit on the stand. There is absolutely no ambiguity in this phrasing and it’s completely unfeasible that she would have momentarily forgotten the exact name for a bruise covering kit and accidentally said ‘bruise kit’ before remembering that means something else already and immediately correcting herself.
She’s also called him cruel and horrible things like a fat old man and a baby. This is why she deserved to be called a ‘gold digging, low level, dime a dozen, mushy, pointless dangling overused flappy fish market’, a ‘waste of a cum guzzler’, a ‘50 cent stripper’ a ‘worthless hooker’, a ‘filthy whore’, and much more in verified texts sent by Johnny where he also said he would ‘smack the ugly cunt around’ ‘drown [and] burn her’ and ‘fuck her burnt corpse’.
All of Amber’s witnesses that testified to seeing bruises or witnessing Johnny hurting Amber must be getting paid by her. Johnny’s witnesses, on the other hand, are way more credible- the fact that they’re all on Johnny’s payroll doesn’t mean anything. Whitney Henriquez’s testimony doesn’t mean anything, because of course she’d defend her own sister!! Christie Dembrowski’s testimony, however, clearly shows what a good soul Johnny is.
Also, Amber and her witnesses were clearly lying because there were minor discrepancies in the details between their testimonies. The 80+ times Johnny lied on the stand, backtracked from previous testimonies, and tried to deny having said documented incriminating phrases doesn’t mean anything because he was probably just confused because he’s a poor traumatized little boy.
Dr. Dawn Hughes, the board certified psychologist who’s been treating Amber for years, is lying on the stand about everything because she looks mean and ugly. Instead, we should listen to Shannon Curry, the young and beautiful psychologist who diagnosed Amber with two personality disorders within a day of meeting her and claimed that real PTSD victims are unable to function in day-to-day life.
Camille Vasquez is such an icon for ripping Amber Heard to shreds, mocking her SA story, claiming that Johnny was the reason she got her role on Aquaman, trying to argue that Amber posted a video at Coachella with friends to send a message to Johnny, and using medical records that describe Heard as a ‘well nourished male’. Ben Rottenborn and Elaine Bredehoft, on the other hand, are terrible and unprepared lawyers who made mean spirited reaches in their cross-examinations.
Amber smiling a few times in court proves that she’s guilty and that she’s revelling in all of this. It’s honestly disgusting. Also, she’s way too emotional in her testimony. Also, she’s not emotional enough, which makes her look ingenuine. Anyway, isn’t it so funny and cute how Johnny kept smiling and smirking and making little quips during his testimony?
Clearly Amber’s guilty here since she was arrested for domestic violence in the past, even though her charges were dropped immediately after and the ex in question has come out saying it was a misunderstanding based in homophobia and misogyny. Meanwhile, all of Johnny’s exes have supported him, proving his innocence- except for Ellen Barkin, who is old, jealous, bitter, irrelevant, and clinging to the past. Oh, did you say something about Johnny Depp’s public image as the ‘bad boy of Hollywood’ who repeatedly abused drugs, trashed hotel rooms, and got in trouble with the police for being aggressive all the way back in the 90’s? I conveniently don’t recall any of that. All I know is that he visits kids in hospitals sometimes.
Also, he’s the good guy in the assault case he’ll go to court for next month, because he was just defending a homeless black woman from being called racial slurs. This behavior is very in character for Johnny, who has defended racism, dressed up in racist costumes multiple times, used plenty of racial slurs (or at the very least, offensive and derogatory terms) himself and once joked that he ‘shot a few ne****s in a club on Sunset Boulevard’.
Amber is a terrible actress and she’s putting on the performance of a lifetime to convince everyone of her innocence. Johnny Depp is an amazingly talented actor and you can just tell that he’s innocent and genuine by the way he’s behaving.
Amber is dragging this out when Johnny just wants to move on with his life. It’s her fault that he sued her repeatedly for an article that never directly mentioned him, thrusting them both into the public eye with overwhelmingly negative attention surrounding her and overwhelmingly positive attention surrounding him.
Seven un-sequestered jurors found Amber guilty of defaming Johnny Depp in her statement ‘I spoke up about sexual violence and faced our culture’s wrath’. This is a more accurate conclusion than the three other judges who found her allegations of Depp’s abuse to be substantially true.

Rottenborn is KILLING this closing argument right now! “Think about the message Mr. Depp and his attorneys are sending to Amber and by extension every victim of domestic abuse everywhere…If you didn’t take pictures, it didn’t happen. If you did take pictures, they’re fake. If you didn’t seek medical treatment, you weren’t injured. If you did seek treatment, you’re crazy.” THIS right here is exactly what needed to be said. 👏🏽👏🏽
Ben is doing great!!!

So, I said that on Twitter, but I'm gonna say it here as well: Amber Heard's attorney's, just as much as Johnny's, deserve respect. They are there doing their job at the best of their capabilities, they're there because EVERYONE has a Right of Defense, everyone, even people who are guilty.
So it doesn't matter if you are on Amber Heard's "side" or Johnny's, you DON'T have the right to attack their integrity or their values or their names in ANY way. You can critique their performance, you can be exasperated, or annoyed by them, but you all have no right to hate on them in any way, regardless of what you believe in.
Attorneys defend people because we all have the right of being presumed innocent in the eyes of the law — all people, even the ones we, the public, find guilty. Let's remember the times when the public would proclaim who's guilty or not? When the accused had no one to defend them? The name Jesus, for example, ring any bells? Thousands of people that were burned in public places accused by the people of witchcraft?
Keep in mind that our verdict means nothing in the eyes of the law because they have formalities that allow Justice to be made in the best possible way society could create.
Attorneys have an honorable job, even when they are defending guilty people, because it's THEIR JOB that allows innocent people to not be condemned, it's THEIR JOB that allows justice to be made. The justice system have a lot of problems, of course, but the attorneys job is not one of them.
STOP berating people for what you believe. As per commentaries of lawyers who were streaming this case, Rottenborn did a great job on JD's second cross and closing, just as Camille crushed in AH's both crosses and closing. Ben Chew and Elaine B. have also advocate for their clients at the best of their abilities and that's their job, the job that allows justice to be made.
End. Of. Story.
Now, I've seen people straight up attacking Camille's for being polite and kind to JD's fans (and her admirers) outside the court, calling her mysogynisc for doing her job. She was not being misogynistic, she was being professional, she was making sure the justice system functions the way it should function in ALL cases, including hers, including Johnny's and Amber's. She was being a true and great lawyer.
AND I've seen @/jamesfromcourt on Twitter saying that they saw Elaine crying after the trial. Now, I don't know if that's because her case is crap, the pressure, Amber Heard or because of the attacks people have been making, but I'll say: that woman didn't do her career being a shitty lawyer. Maybe she couldn't handle the pressure of a high profile case, maybe she couldn't adapt to another jurisdiction's ways, maybe she is just not used to go to trials bc she settles deals before they happen, maybe it's all of that, but I'll tell, she's doing her best. And she shouldn't get hate because she's defending someone, even who I believe is a guilty person. She should be really respected for that, actually, because it can't be easy in any way to deal with such a client while observing her case sinking and still trying to save it.
Don't hate on people that are doing nothing but their jobs. Critique them, be annoyed or exasperated by them, but NEVER hate on them because of it, they don't deserve it

"In trying to convince you that Mr. Depp has carried his burden of proof in proving that he was not abusive to Amber even on one occasion, think about the message and his attorneys are sending to Amber and every victim of domestic abuse everywhere:
if you didn't take pictures, it didn't happen if you did take pictures, they're fake if you didn't tell your friends, you're lying if you did tell your friends, they're apart of the hoax if you didn't seek medical treatment, you weren't injured if you did seek medical treatment, you're crazy if you did everything you can to help your spouse to, the person that you love, rid of himself of the crushing drug and alcohol abuse that spins him into an abusive rageful monster, you're a nag and if you finally decide that enough is enough, enough of the fear, enough of the pain, and you have to leave to save yourself, you're a gold digger"
All Ben Rottenborn asked the jury to do was think - and they said 'nope'. All of these accusations have been made against Amber on social media since 2016. All Johnny wanted was a seal of approval that all of these mixed signals to torture an ex-spouse about was okay, and people fell for it, and the jury fell asleep during the trial, without any forethought about the repercussions for any other survivor of abuse.

Because as Heard attorney Ben Rottenborn told the jury in his closing argument: “If Amber was abused by Mr. Depp even one time, then she wins. And we’re not just talking about physical abuse,” he said. It also included “emotional abuse, psychological abuse, financial abuse, sexual abuse.”
He’s right. The jury could have found Heard to have exaggerated. It could have even found her at times not credible. All the jurors needed was one instance of abuse and Depp should have lost. They apparently found none.
But the jury should have concluded that Depp was physically or otherwise abusive at least once. Along with Heard testifying to the abuse, there’s plenty of evidence of abusive, aggressive language and behavior by Depp. A jury should have drawn inferences from that evidence, in which case Depp would have lost.

Johnny Depp’s rebuttal, part 2.
Johnny Depp
"It seemed like a lot of word salad to me," Depp tells the court, speaking about the statements. "I didn't know where they'd come from... or where they ended up."
Depp says he has never taken as many as eight to 10 MDMA pills at once.
Depp is then asked about Dr David Kipper, who treated his finger."When you saw the damage in the house and the blood everywhere... there would be no point in lying to the man... I told him that she had thrown a bottle of vodka... and cut my finger off. The tip of my finger, but a good chunk. I miss it."
"At one point... I don't remember it lasting long... I took a pretty good shot to the face, to the eye... so I had a bit of a shiner," he tells the court. "It all ended and then everything got fine again." (honeymoon).
Depp says he never witnessed any "full-on physical blow-outs" between the sisters but had seen "tonnes of verbal blow-outs" and "have certainly seen Ms Heard grab Whitney, push her around… there were half a dozen times when some of us, whoever was in the general vicinity, would have to leave..."
Depp recalls Kate Moss incident on stairs;
Amber Heard's lawyer Ben Rottenborn returns straight to Johnny Depp's earlier testimony about his honeymoon on the Orient Express in the summer of 2015.Before the break, he told the court that Heard hit him during the trip, giving him a black eye.The court was previously shown a picture from the holiday, which Depp says shows him with the bruising under his left eye. Now, Mr Rottenborn is presenting some more pictures, which were taken in Thailand just before this trip. He says these pictures show the actor with the same mark. Depp says this is to do with the light in these photos. "You had that same mark on your eye before you got on that train," Mr Rottenborn says.
Heard's lawyer also refutes evidence that Depp gave earlier today, saying he does not remember there being a phone on the wall in the house in Australia. He reads evidence given by Depp during his UK trial, in which he does recall the phone.
Johnny Depp is now being asked by Ben Rottenborn if he has previously said that if he "wants to be with a woman sexually then she is rightfully yours".Depp says this is "ludicrous".The actor is now being shown text messages that he apparently sent in February 2017. "This looks nothing like me..." Depp starts. He suggests the messages have been "screwed with".Mr Rottenborn asks if he wants to see the unredacted version."No, because you could have typed it up last night."The texts are now being shown to the court."Right!!! Exactly!!! [Woman's name] p**** is RIGHTFULLY MINE!!!!! Should I not just bust in and remove its hinges tonight."Depp says he has read this correctly.Another one says: "I want to change her understanding of what it is like to be thrashed about like a pleading Mackerel. I NEED. I WANT. I TAKE."
Depp tries to explain something, suggesting he may have contacted people at Warner Bros but not necessarily for this reason. He then says no, he did not reach out to anyone at Warner Bros to get Heard fired from the film.Mr Rottenborn then reads out a text Depp sent to his former agent in August 2016. It's quite a long message, but here is some of it."She's begging for total humiliation... She's gonna get it..."I have no mercy, no fear and not an ounce of emotion... I cannot wait to have this waste of a c*** g****** out of my life!!!..."I can only hope that karma kicks in and takes the gift of breath from her."
Depp testified earlier today that "I've been waiting to be able to get the truth out" and "I've spoken up for what I've been carrying on my back", Mr Rottenborn says.He says it is "not true" that this trial is the actor's first chance to tell his story as he launched the UK proceedings six months before Heard's Washington Post column was published in December 2018, and that the trial took place over three weeks in 2020.
Morgan Tremaine, a former TMZ employee
he was assigned to a story on Amber Heard in May 2016. He said he dispatched photographers to the location when the actress was filing for a restraining order.
The next assignment on Heard was in August 2016 when she was giving a deposition about the restraining order she had filed for against Depp.
On 12 August 2016, he says TMZ received the video of Depp slamming cabinets, which has been shown in court. He says the video was sent via their email tip line.     (no souces were named though).
Bryan Neumeister, an expert in digital forensics (note this is his hobby, he is not a specialist in it);
The court is shown three versions of the photo. "All three of these photos had to go through some type of transformation to change sizes," he says.Mr Neumeister also gives his opinion on other photos showing Heard with bruising, looking at the "exif data" - and says this shows they have gone through Photos 3.0 editing software.
He stated that Amber has been edited using Photos 3.0 software.
Digital forensics expert Bryan Neumeister is now being asked if he found any modification of exif metadata - which gives details on how a photograph is taken and edited - on photos in this case.He says he cannot answer this question.
Beverly R Leonard, an airport worker
Ms Leonard said she was in the baggage claim area and observed Heard with a companion with whom she got into an "altercation". Heard grabbed her companion and pulled something from her neck, she said."At that point I got up and went over to break up what appeared to be a fight. I summoned a colleague to help me. I stepped in between them and separated them."
Dr Richard Gilbert
He is board certified and a member of multiple orthopedic organisations;
"I do believe so," the surgeon says, when asked if the injury could have been sustained in the way Depp has described. He says Heard's story is "highly unlikely" as it would be "rare" for an injury such as Depp's to have been caused in this way. The actor would more likely have injured a different part of his hand, he says, and he saw no signs of this "whatsoever".
Heard's lawyer Ben Rottenborn tells the court, Heard said she saw Depp smashing the phone against the wall, but had said she did not know definitively how the injury happened.Dr Gilbert says it is correct to say he has seen no evidence to say there was glass in the wound or bruising elsewhere. Depp's story about how the injury occurred means the bottle didn't injure his fingernail but did wound the finger underneath, Mr Rottenborn tells the court.Mr Rottenborn says there is another explanation for how the injury occurred: "It didn't happen how Mr Depp says it did.""I cannot make that assumption," Dr Gilbert says. "Nor can you."
