The metaphysical illustrations of Mikita Rasolka

The illustrations by the Belarusian artist Mikita Rasolka seem to be the work of a great 20th century surrealist master, the new element brought by Rasolka is a reference to contemporaneity both in the subjects and in the technique. Produced digitally, the texture and materiality of the layers of colour are those of an airbrush, with the overlapping of even delicate nuances that are lit up by recurring tones such as red. The large black blocks are also part of the stylistic signature and expressive mission of Mikita Rasolka’s works, which draw on ancient cultural references and more contemporary events, in dialogue with symbols that return in the works.

I'm finally getting around to developing my universe! It's Saikal, The Keeper of Secrets. She's a member of the Secret Keeper's guild; Her duty is to travel around the world and document people's secrets. Sharing secrets with the Keeper is considered something good for your mental well-being. Later, all the secrets are documented in the guild's archive; thus the history is written.

The key can be used as a weapon, but is mostly used to open up portals/summon mounts that can help them to move faster. More concepts of this world ahead! ✦ full process and references are up in my patreon

🎼Belarusian and Polish folk costumes, requests. Nadzieja from Vileyka (Belarus) is playing the flute at the wedding of her friend Elżbieta, the bride from Krakow (Poland). 💐

🎼Музыкантка Надзея из Вилейки играет ��а свадьбе своей подруги - краковской невесты Эльжбеты. Вместе они представляют праздничный Вилейский строй (северо-запад Минской и северо-восток Гродненской областей, Беларусь) и свадебный западный Краковский строй (Польша)! Это третья часть костюмных реквестов! 💐

Вілейскі строй, бытаваў у канцы ХІХ – пачатку ХХ стагоддзя на паўночным усходзе Гродзенскай і паўночным захадзе Мінскай абласцей.

STRÓJ KRAKOWIAKÓW ZACHODNICH. Ludność zamieszkującą tereny rolniczo-przemysłowe położone wokół Krakowa (obecnie wsie te stanowią często jego dzielnice) określa się mianem Krakowiaków Zachodnich.

В белорусском костюме меня всегда восхищает изящество фасона и гармония цвета. Традиционной плечевой одеждой была жилетка «гарсэт»; чудесная тёмно-синяя юбка-андарак, расшитая по подолу бархатом, украшалась особыми петельками - «пуплами». Узор сорочки - «кашулі» - и фартука - «фартуха» - красно-чёрные цветы. Любимый мой белорусский головной убор - капор «каптур» с длинными полосами ткани, поверх которого надевался платок. Что касается музыкального инструмента, то Надзея играет на дудке.

Что касается краковских невест, то на свадьбу девушки надевали венки из ярких искусственных цветов, а сзади крепили банты из пёстрых лент. На Эльжбете рубашка, корсет и длинная юбка с цветочным мотивом, прикрытая чуть более коротким фартуком, закрывающим перед и бока. На плечи невеста накинула тёплую цветастую шаль с узором в виде бутонов роз. Ноги обуты в черные туфли на шнуровке на достаточно высоком каблуке. Дорогое дополнение наряда - коралловые бусы с крестом.
