RIP Paul "Pee Wee" Reubens, aged 70.

Beez McKeever, longtime Wardrobe, bot costume maker, and Prop Mistress of MST3k (even in the new seasons) shared a nice memory of him on her IG bezzworx:

"Paul Reubens was my comedy hero. After receiving my fan letter back in the 80s, he called me on the phone, he upgraded my seats to his show at the Guthrie where he called me on stage for a bit of improv. He coaxed me to do my rendition of his "Hand Monster Game", an impersonation that I'd boasted about in my letter. The crowd ROARED with laughter and Pee Wee pretended to stamp away having been upstaged. I've never been so happy. That beautiful moment lit a fire in me, an aspiration to find a place in comedy for myself. It's no exaggeration to say he helped shape my life. I'm absolutely gutted that he's gone."

The song "Cats Eyes" was composed while I was mourning the death my senior feline Beez McKeever. He was always a fantastic and loving cat,more of an indoor kitty than most due to being declawed before he was in our home. But he still loved his violence! None of these cats are him,he was not a fan of cameras,this is just my tribute to him and his kind.

I found an old Beez McKeever interview online while looking for something else, and there a few things I have to share.

MJ: Who created the Mike robot puppet in "Prince of Space"? And do you remember if Mike enjoyed or had any difficulties with his first shot at being a puppeteer? Beez: It was a co-production. Patrick made the puppet and I made the costume for it. I can't remember Mike having too hard a time with it. It was a pretty basic starter puppet, no eye controls or anything, and Mike is mystifyingly coordinated. Have you seen him juggle?

Mike juggles? Mike who can’t navigate a set of stairs in socks, juggles?

Holy Shit Beez Mckeever is coming back to do the costumes.

Kinga's version of evil is like a cruel child's. And what purer and more subversive version of evil can there be? And let's not forget some of the other female-type characters on the show, like Beez McKeever's babysitter "Steffi," who, though only appearing in one episode, was so deftly able to make Observer revert into childlike behavior (eloquent though he was) and completely sideline Bobo by treating him like the misbehaving family dog... in other words, all she did was play a babysitter, and the two male PRIMARY characters fell completely to pieces. THAT was hilariously funny! And nobody was complaining that Beez was "too cute" (which she is). Felicia Day was the PERFECT casting choice for Kinga Forrester.
