Is this the Amazo Guy I've been hearing about?

Even if it wasn't, this guy kind of explains the city's behavior towards Wordgirl.

This guy is always late. Late to save the day and stop a robbery. If that happens all the time, it makes it harder to take superheroes seriously.

I'm not saying that this is an acceptable behavior, but the city quickly trying to replace Wordgirl with Tj and Victoria makes a little more sense with this.

No one knows who Wordgirl actually is, but everyone knows that Tj and Victoria are citizens of their own city. It's easier to trust someone you know than someone you don't.

Ooh, definitely something that plays on the role changes again like Chuck, a very mild villain becoming a literal dictator and "what if's".

Becky could make a wish like "I wish the villains didn't interrupt me all the time!" and the universe would take that as "Ah! You'd like Miss Power to have succeeded! She can take care of all the villains for you :)"

Or "I wish I still had a mentor to help me navigate being a hero all by myself..." and the universe would take that as "Ooh, okay, Steven Boxleitner never became Dr. Two Brains but that also means that the villains lose their sense of community and belonging because he was the one who created that for them all."

Or "I wish I didn't have to carry the weight of my secret life from my family." And the universe diverts the path of the Botsford's and WordGirl so they never meet until she decides to be a hero (bc sally is the district attorney). This could mean another parental figure takes her in instead, raising her to be good, evil, or indifferent. Or maybe no one takes her in and she lives alone with Huggy. No school, no friends, no mom and dad.

At one point in her life, Becky played with the pots and pans in the cabinet like a little make-shift drum set. Steven sat in front of her while she was playing. He jokingly asked his child if there was anything else she like to bang with her wooden spoon. Becky just giggled at her dad and playfully bonked him on the head. He woke up on the floor five and a half hours later.
