Note
1, 3, 4, 9, 17, 22, 29 and 29 if you want :3
1. Who is your main?
Tumblr media
i used to main bennett and razor (and i do still love them DEARLY and theyre both still on my main team) but i gave kaeya my only 5 star weapon, i gave him my best atk and crit artifacts, i got him at c1, i level up his talents the most, i just. ONLY THE BEST FOR U KAEYA ALBERICH!!!!!
3. When did you start playing Genshin Impact
early april 2021!!!!
4. How did you come across Genshin Impact
this is all my dearest friend kathleen @miladymiss's fault. she brought it up enough times for me to be curious and then i caved and downloaded it to my phone. sadly, i dont have a screencap of my first first first genshin experience reaction because i think i did that on voice call, but here is the first text message between kathleen and i managed to dig up
Tumblr media
9. My favorite ship/s is/are?
//DEEP INHALE
i ship so so so many genshin ships it is embarassing so my metric for what i consider my Favorite will be "ships i check on ao3 and twitter for every damn day like the morning newspaper"
kaeya/childe, zhongli/childe, jean/diluc, signora/childe, bennett/razor
i feel like so many things can be gleamed from my personality with this set of ships i have listed......
17. Your current party composition
BEHOLD!!! MY TEAM!!!!
Tumblr media
xingqui is my only character who i think? counts as support? his main job is to make things wet so everybody else's elemental reactions can hit sexy.
razor, kaeya, and bennett are All my main dps. my Trifecta Of Pain. i built all three of them with a focus on either atk or crit rate/dmg or both, because the only stat i care about is making enemies be dead faster.
bennett is also my healer though and i owe him my life for it, i would have been long dead by now if it werent for his healing
the funny thing about having 3/4ths dps team is that xingqui is benched once he's done his job at inflicting hydro. so while my damage dealers are off getting themselves beat to hell and back and then healed and then pummeled again, xingqui is just.....sitting at the side reading his book
xingqui: having the time of my life :') paimon: YOUR TEAMMATES ARE DYING xingqui: this isnt about them
22. Who are you pulling next?
well aside from collecting more constellations for my main team above, call me a basic bitch, but i want tohma. i most probably wont use him, i just want to look at him. im not playing this game to be a good gamer, im playing this game to collect hot anime men like stuffed toys on my bed.
also i would really like if diluc came home just so i can put him in my teapot next to jean, who i do have. come on, diluc. i have your wife. come to me pls. PLS.
29. What is your luckiest roll?
I DONT THINK I EVER HAD A VERY LUCKY TEN PULL AKJBFKJSFKAS. im terrible at saving up primos, the moment i have enough for a single pull, i spend them immediately......
thank u for the asks!!! :DDDD

Omg
People need to stop using what they think are intellectual arguments to try to shade at shit while COMPLETELY MISUSING IT.
Example: There was a cross in the reunion episode!
Okay, great, let’s look at all the other uses of crosses. Oh look, episodes about faith, faith, faith, faith, faith, and faith. Right after not believing in anything, not backshadowing him with the cross, reuniting, and then having the cross, only to later confirm he now has faith.
Thing someone thinks is occam’s razor: It could mean anything any time and at any moment could mean something totally different without any regard to the base themes being employed literally every time. It could just mean resurrection like jesus!
What’s actually occam’s razor: The cross is tied to faith theme episodes. Like, I don’t know. The episode Faith.
Y’all stop. It’s like arguing from an angle of belligerently intentional ignorance.
And losing your patience with people who have no idea what they’re talking about downtalking at people who know what they’re talking about, after fucking up and making their own bed to begin with while they stomp around like a child and get other angry bitter people stomping with them to make a fuss -- getting annoyed, at any point, is in no way the sign of being the More Logical Person. Sometimes you’re so illogical you piss everybody around you that knows what’s up, off. See: Kelios.
If your only victory point is staying calm while you piss off people that know better, you’re not smarter. You’re just annoying. You know how there’s that “annoying stupid Republican” idea floating around out there where they just can’t say anything without being annoying or infuriating? It started somewhere. And it’s not because Someone Lost To Them. It’s because ain’t nobody got the time for their Headass.
PS: It’s not “stuck up” to cite your actual career, education, or whatever else after already being driven up a wall by a bunch of bitter fansplaining from people who can’t grasp concepts like the above. If someone’s talking on an elementary school level to a person who works in an industry, the person will first gently tell them how it works, and when the child starts kicking and huffing and throwing insults, will call a parent, but if no parent’s available, they get “you’ll understand when you grow up” and that’s essentially what’s happening here.
Being intentionally fucking numbskulled about things because someone wants to be bitter and act like they understand a business, when they literally do not understand the business, and have shown they do not know the business, and continue to insist to yell down at people that know about the business, eventually makes people who know the business go “You do know I’ve done this for a living and you’re totally on crack, right?”
If all of the people with Actual Experience are saying a thing, maybe you should stop trying to Fansplain or Hobbysplain shit to them and actually consider adjusting your perspective instead of acting entitled all the time.
Imagine trying to be a trainee in a workplace with this attitude.
Machinist: Okay, these are the lathe codes. Just use these, and avoid this one.
Trainee: What’ll happen if I enter this instead.
Machinist: Don’t, that jams up the machine for some reason.
Trainee: That doesn’t make any sense! You don’t know what you’re talking about.
Machinist: Look, kid. Just don’t. If anything goes wrong, hit this emergency stop button.
Trainee: I’ve read online that some of those buttons break the machine
Machinist: I... look. Hit emergency stop if anything goes wrong.
Trainee: Don’t tell me what to do.
Machinist: I been working here 30 years kid.
Trainee: That doesn’t matter, you’re just pulling the experience card, I’m skilled too.
Machinist: .....
[ 2 hours later Trainee punches in code he’s told not to and bores at a bad angle and burns out a multi-hundred-thousand-dollar machine because he didn’t use emergency stop, loses his job ]
Ask me how I know a story like this, while we’re at it.
Frankly, no. Alone, a degree doesn’t count for a whole lot. There’s an assload of educated idiots that manage a passing grade and then never see the profession in the real world. But when the people who have been out there, in the real world, dealing in an area, are telling you what they know, maybe you should give it some consideration. But when that degree is, say, a double degree lit professor, or that degree is someone in marketing that’s also run all levels of the actual industry for years on end, maybe they might know a little something about something that your basic lit course or bitterness aren’t taking into account.
Apologies to you, random blogger #89234 with an interest in a thing, but if the accumulated hobby information you’ve collected is outright in conflict (see machinist example) of How Things Actually Work, you cease being a supreme authority, and if you start acting like a little prick about it to people who actually know the ropes, well -- we can’t fire you from the internet (as appealing as that sounds at times), but we can deadass tell you “you have no idea what you’re talking about.” HOW DO U KNOW “BECAUSE I’VE DONE THIS FOR A LIVING.” HUrRruUrURRRr thAT donT meaN anyTHING
Yes, yes it does. It means I’ve been there, I’ve watched things be set up, be destroyed, transition, be debated over, been in the heart of it. It means I’ve watched friends lose their gigs and get sidelined and others take off so hard we barely maintain contact anymore. It means I’ve had to listen to marketing groups piss and moan over working titles because it’s not X enough for Y demographic (you want to know a pain in the ass? marketing test group runs for pagan mythology LGBT friendly content in a southern religious conservative region --and you know what, I can release that, because it’s mine and a discontinued project now; unlike, say, if one of us happened to land at a CW/SPN marketing test group somewhere and happened to have to sign an NDA about what they were polling about).
It means I watch when a TPTB family member posts in a private facebook group and it means I talk to the sound dev crews about how they make certain things -- not some one off room-mating or the occasional DM or whatever, because we can all talk actual shop and not fanbuzz; in fact, I’ve BEEN a roommate people tried to get stuff out of and they probably walked away thinking they were super in-the-know while there’s a thousand things I didn’t/couldn’t say but they’d never know; and it means I know which of my fandoms have shared PAs you guys never knew by name; it means they can actually break out about the kind of lenses and audio devices they used to perform a certain shot and the abstract methods they attained it and I can actually come back with a suggestion that doesn’t embarrass both of us to sit out there in the air; it means I know how to appeal to a shifting demographic and discuss the problems in limited circulation.
It means that I know how the gears of a machine work and don’t just sit from the outside going “well maybe it’s-” no, it’s this, this, and that. No, you don’t get to pontificate what you think Actually Is In It when I literally know What Is In It. That isn’t how reality works. Well you can, but the reality of it is that no, your opinion or Hot Take(TM) aren’t equal. I don’t care if you’ve gone to teaparties with them, I really don’t.
The quickest way to get someone from a creative team to disengage from actual content conversation and instead feeding you fluff is when you obviously have no idea of the machinations involved and are coming as a fan or hobbyist. You don’t think people can tell the difference. You think you sound like you’re exceptional. But when you open your mouth it takes about two seconds for us to know.
I can turn a regional studio owner’s ear in the middle of a freaking dollar general by saying a few things; or a major music producer; why? Because we’ve been there. And we’ve been there long enough when y’all try to come up talking like you know shit.
Reality: You don’t. I don’t care how many clickbait articles someone has written. I literally have 0% care for how much public facing PR you’re fed. Or anything you think is non-public facing that they were willing to give You, the general You, a fandomite or hobbyist or yes, reporter. Hell, the latter list of LOL tends to think X rando directing assistant or whatever will have All The Secrets at a business level. Thing is, when I was any kind of PA or adjacent, I sure as hell didn’t delude myself into knowing everything going on above my head, just what I needed to know. Do it long enough and yes, you learn the business mechanics themselves but no one person beyond the upper executives is gonna know everything. Each knows what their job specification is.
Frankly, again I say, if you want to really know what’s going on, you check out what marketing is polling, because that’s what Big Business is putting in discussion, and really, that’s that. Then again, if you get into the groups, enjoy that NDA, and not being able to tell anybody about anything about it, and just waving your arms emphatically about an idea that people try to lol about.
Am I talking SPN? Am I talking something else I worked on or attended or know about? In the end, does that really matter?
Not all topics come down specifically to experience and expertise within a subject, but some do, and if you’re out here acting like a twidiot over it, eventually, the people who work in it go, “look y’all bless your heart but we actually do this, so sit down?”
Nobody’s saying you CAN’T meta or lit crit without a degree or experience, but if you’re out there being a shady fuck towards people who literally know what they’re doing, with minimal to no actual substance to your shade, just convenience to those who want to believe you, then yes. The people who actually know what they’re doing > the people that don’t and are just ass speaking  or throwing “what ifs” or “it could bes” on hunches regardless of the follower counts attached.
A lot of people do good meta or spec without a degree or experience, because they just have a good reading and, I don’t know, understand what shit like Occam’s Razor actually means. It’s not mandatory. But if you’re about to start swinging on someone, son, just because you’re piloted by bitterness and aren’t even thinking to 1+1 this charade, you should probably check your narcissism points if you’re butting off at-random against people who do have experience and a fairly synchronized understanding.
Or at least more than piss-poor long-disjointed sub-par disembodied and fractal arguments that sum to nothing, their captain wank planet forces combined.
There’s a pillar or two of meta and Destiel meta fandom I avoid like the plague because I can read it’s pure fluff and completely uncorroborated with an actual basic application of Occam’s Razor. That doesn’t mean I spend my time shading them or dragging their crap out or picking fights with them or just being a bitch about it on my blog.
A few people could learn from that.

alright so i didn’t really agree with what tier lists were saying about certain fgo servants so i made my own one ! you’re welcome to disagree, of course, but this is what i think should make up the fgo five star tier list
S: makes any team better, 100% desirable, meta breaking
A: well built and capable of carrying a team
B: good team addition and plays well/good for one specific purpose
C: ok tier, they’re just fine tbh, deservant of 5 star status but on thin ice
D: straight up should’ve been a 4 star
EX: servants that i’ve heard of only in legend
*note: this is for the na server as of january 2019, i could honestly give less of a shit about jp
**note: berserkers gain a bit of fluidity because their one purpose is to kill and any zerk that can do that is good (< that’s all zerks btw)
***note: all 5 stars are worth levelling up, they’re all really good. don’t burn them please
****note: i don’t claim to know everything about fgo, this list isn’t the gospel
S TIER:
MERLIN (caster): ok y’all saw this one coming but basically merlin is fucking amazing. he can really fit on any team set up he wants to and he’s a prime example of what a good caster should be. i don’t think i need to explain this entry. moving on.
JEANNE D’ARC ALTER (avenger): jalter is probably the best buster based servant you can summon in the na server right now and was a complete powerhouse until merlin showed up. if you want a reliable servant that can do just about anything without fail i suggest her if you ever get lucky enough to summon her
FIRST HASSAN (assassin): normally gramps isn’t listed with these two, but if you’ve ever used him chances are you can atleast somewhat see where i’m coming from here. this man is a BEAST, his singularity track record should be proof of that (y’know, because he stole the show in a whole ass two of them). he can’t fit into any team like the first two but he can destroy like nobody’s fucking business. summon him if you get the chance
A TIER:
MIYAMOTO MUSASHI (saber): musashi is a saber focused in single target buster damage, and her skills and np allow her to go above with this focus. at the moment i’d say she’s probably the best saber available because her np, skills, and deck match so well. \
NERO BRIDE (saber): i forgot her and i’m only just now adding her in so whoops but basically she’s one of the only arts sabers that’s actually good and has a good and spammable np.
GILGAMESH (archer): he’s an anti army buster focus who has a noble phantasm that only six servants in the game so far aren’t weak to. he’s kind of a lancer pincushion but just don’t send him out into battles with lancers. there you go.
ISHTAR (archer): ishtar doesn’t have the same np effect as gil but other than that she’s a fairly good replacement for him, not to mention she has a slightly higher hp value than him
BRYNHILDR (lancer): brynhildr would probably be lower on this list if it weren’t for her sparse availability and trait that affects most male and some female servants in the game. she’s probably the best lancer in the game because of those two reasons, but all lancers are safe bets tbh
OZYMANDIAS (rider): ozymandias is amazing at spamming buster cards and has a particularly great np, great for boss battles. also he’s hot
QUETZALCOATL (rider): basically the same as ozy here except with a more specifically buster deck. also she’s hot
ZHUGE LIANG (caster): a lot of people categorize him with merlin and to those people i have to ask: have you ever played this game? waver comes close, but don’t act like people didn’t throw him to the side the exact moment merlin came out. open your eyes you absolute fools
XUANZANG SANZANG (caster): this one has a twinge of personal bias but seeing as she’s a caster but has the highest atk of all of my servants atm. also she’s hot, but she’s one of the only casters in the game right now that’s somewhat buster based and can make a buster brave chain which her np (which is kinda rare for casters). she can fit into really any team composition without too much issue and has a rather high survivability rate
JACK THE RIPPER (assassin): contrary to brynhildr, jack got higher on this list almost specifically because of her availability. she’s a really good assassin that’s rather easy to get (well, considering she’s a five star). the one bane i can think of is that she’s not very team compatible, but she’ll do just fine regardless. get her going with quick chains and she will absolutely obliterate
CU CHULAINN ALTER (berserker): just wanna start out by saying he’s still one of the most powerful berserkers in the jp server. AND he’s easily available. do i really fucking have to say anything else? (protection from arrows lol)
MINAMOTO NO RAIKOU (berserker): mom’s deck is set up a bit differently from other berserkers’, having more arts and quick card than most of them. does that stop her from utterly obliterating everything in her path? nope, not at all, in fact, it only helps. her quick and arts card charge her buster np, which is a wave clear that RAINS crit stars, that only help her kill more later. conclusion: she’s an absolute goddess
JEANNE D’ARC (ruler): jeanne d’arc only really made it to this part of the list because you can get her really easily and she’s absolutely amazing on arts stall teams. as well and good as this is, though, she only really reaches her good points in her final ascension and is kind of hard to use before this. i wouldn’t suggest using her if you’re a starter player, heads up
B TIER:
OKITA SOUJI (saber): okita was placed lower on this list than i’d like her to be but because of her quick based status i kinda had to. there’s going to be a lot of this going on especially later in the list, but quick servants don’t see the light of day until skadi comes around, which is going to be mid 2020 for us na players unless fgo gets destroyed before then. the only servant that really got away with the quick niche was jack because she’s self sustaining if she needs to be, but okita’s deck doesn’t really let her do that. despite this, okita’s still amazing, and i highly suggest rolling for her
ARTORIA ARCHER (archer): summer artoria serves as an amazing arts archer that does wonders with her single target arts np that brings up her np gauge up almost immediately after it’s done, meaning you can spam her np whenever. she’s pretty great for arts team and not very versatile elsewhere, but you’re in for a treat when you use her
SCATHACH (lancer): OF COURSE scathach was going to be fairly high on this list, she’s one of the best lancers to date. her quick deck brought her down a bit here, but she’s a reliable servant that can fit into any team composition with little issue and has a powerful np. what else could you want
ARTORIA LANCER (lancer): honestly lartoria is high on the list for flexing and little else, but she serves as a powerful buster servant that has a pretty good wave clear np. the rest of the reason she’s up here is personal bias and i’m not scared to admit that, also she’s on a horse
TAMAMO LANCER (lancer): lanmamo is a kinda surprising servant tbh, she doubles in buster and quick and does amazing in both and has an especially high hp stat, something i wouldn’t expect from a quick/buster decked servant. honestly, you really can’t go wrong with summer servants tbh, they’re all really good
QUEEN MEDB (rider): i’m SICK of people shitting on medb. she’s fucking great. she’s a buster main that’s a crit star sponge and has a fairly good single target np. bring her into a caster boss battle and she will fuck the life out of the opponent, i guarantee it
TAMAMO NO MAE (caster): mikon is an amazing caster who sadly doesn’t really hold up to those in the higher tiers, but has skills that work great for any team and is practically the god of any arts stall team you ever might think of making. also she’s hot
LEONARDO DA VINCI (caster): da vinci doesn’t really hold up to tamamo, but i still think she deserves a spot in this tier. she has a pretty varied deck that can fit in with really any team and has a pretty powerful wave clear np. she’s a great caster, no doubt, but in a point in time when this game is practically dominated by merlin, she really doesn’t hold up as much as the others
CLEOPATRA (assassin): cleo is an exceptionally good buster based assassin with an anti army np which is really effective. she makes for a fairly good farming servant and can hold out for a while in boss battles as well
SAKATA KINTOKI (berserker): sakata has gotten strangely a bad rep from the fandom but is overhyped by the game, which is weird to me, but whatever. he’s probably the most powerful berserker atk wise, but can only really survive for three turns before dying no matter what you do. as far as servants go, he’s not as good as the game hypes him up to be and he’s not as bad as the fanbase makes him out to be.
AMAKUSA SHIROU (ruler): amakusa really only got up here because he’s one of the only four extra class five stars in the game right now, and as a servant he’s okay. he’d be a lot worse if he were a normal unit that had a class disadvantage that was common, but since he’s practically untouchable as a ruler he gets a spot up here
C TIER:
ARTORIA (saber): artoria has a rather bad reputation among tier lists because of her basic deck, basic np, shit skills … but her blandness only makes her increasingly compatible with other team setups. you can really stick her anywhere and she’ll do fine, and if she’s set up right she can become a really good servant. y’all are just lazy and mean
MORDRED (saber): mordred got kind of the same treatment as her dad but with more buster and slightly better skills, so if this tier list had a lot more specific tiers mordred would probably be above her. however, this isn’t, i’m too lazy for that. mordred is really just a slightly more atk based artoria
ARJUNA (archer): arjuna’s good, no doubt, but his competition out of the five star archer pool is hard to match up with. he’s definitely the best archer in the story mode gacha, but as an arts archer that can’t spam his np as artoria archer, he’s a bit dead in the water
ORION (archer): orion has the same problems as arjuna but with an added fuck you because of that extra quick card. if you have her i hope you have fun beating the absolute shit out of gawain
KARNA (lancer): karna’s an amazing buster servant, but the lancer pool is just really fucking good. he excels in buster but got that quick fuck you just like orion. i don’t really have much to say tbh, he’s good
ENKIDU (lancer): enkidu excels in quicks and didn’t pussy out like orion and karna, and if this were the non-merlin era he’d be higher on this list. sadly, since arts is dominating, he’ll have to wait a bit, but soon ...
FRANCIS DRAKE (rider): i really like francis, i do, but compared to the other riders she’s really just a farming servant. she can be a good main rider if you really want her to be but her np is almost made for farming. her np is the exact example of a farming np. next
ILLYA VON EINZBERN (caster): news flash but she’s not really as good as everyone hyped her up to be. she has a bit of a confusing deck (why does she have one buster card but a buster np!?!) and no clear niche so like … is her fame only because of that anime she’s in or what. chloe’s better
SHUTEN DOUJI (assassin): shuten has an arts based deck that doesn’t really fit her as an assassin and doesn’t have a very powerful np but otherwise is a good and reliable servant. She can just about survive anything and has been the cause of many of my clutches. thanks shuten
VLAD III (berserker): vlad excels in arts teams and is an amazing arts unit, but he would’ve shined if he was released later. because he was the first five star berserker released and non limited (unlike sakata) he defied a standard for berserkers before berserker standards were even set, and it didn’t come out well
FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE (berserker): florence honestly would’ve been better if she wasn’t released at the same time as cu alter, who’s a goddamn beast, and if her concept wasn’t so mismatched. her deck and skillset is kinda weirdly put together and doesn’t flow as well as raikou’s. she’s wasted potential, really.
D TIER:
ALTERA (saber): honestly i think people hype up altera too much, she’s good but could easily be replaced by a four star imo. at her best she’s just an artoria remake sorry
NIKOLA TESLA (archer): his deck and skill set and np are fine? he just really doesn’t have a proper use. he fits into any team but in a way in which that team has to kinda carry him and he’s ugly. that’s all
MYSTERIOUS HEROINE X (assassin): mhx is a good assassin, especially since there are only a few you can really choose from, but she’s more of a trophy than anything. it’s cool to have her, and again, she’s fine, but she doesn’t really match up to the other assassins in the game, especially jack, who’s more easily accessible and self sufficient. also it doesn’t make sense why she’s an assassin if she’s a saber killer (just be an archer!!!!) but w/e
EDMOND DANTES (avenger): let me explain first. please. ok, so edmond is good by most standards, especially because he’s an extra class which means he’s basically untouchable by most everyone except for bb when she rears her ugly head in may. but what sucks about him is that he was released as sort of a avengers test before jalter? idk how to really explain it, but he’s significantly worse than jalter because they wanted to see how an avenger would hold up. not only does he not hold up to the only servant in his class by a long shot, he has the quick curse and looks exactly the fuck like komaeda. he really took that l
EX TIER:
RYOUJI SHIKI (saber): fgo seems to really like her but the fanbase seems to think she;s ok at best but i’ve never seen her ever in supports in my nine months of playing this game. does she even really exist? idk. her character desc says you’re likely to never see her and i’m starting to think that’s true
ISKANDER (rider): alright i KNOW you exist and everyone loves you but i’ve never seen you either. what the ufck. where are you
anyways that’s it this took way longer than it should’ve i’m going to bed

DnD ask: odd numbers!
 1. How many dice do you have?
I have three full sets and like three misc die. My first set is a frosted pink set, my second is green and purple with gold numbers and my third is pink and black. I’d provide pics cause I love showing them off, but I don’t have them with me currently
3.What is your most recently bought dice?
the green and purple ones I mentioned above. The pink and black ones are my newest set, but they were a gift. I bought the purple and green ones because they reminded me of my two characters at the time
5.What is your best dice set?
I’m not sure! I haven’t used the pink and black ones yet and have only used the purple and green ones once, so its hard to say which set is the luckiest!
7. Do you have an unlucky die?
I don’t think any of them are unlucky
9.If you could only ever have one dice set, what type would it be?
uhhhh prob something super pretty. I really want a holographic set of dice. Or maybe a set of dice made out of bone would be cool (I hope that answers the qustion. not exactly sure what is being asked here)
11. Have you ever rolled a natural 1? What happened?
haha my fav crit fail was on a roll for vicious mockery. basically the play went as follows. My character: “Hey Fuckface!” *rolls nat 1* Dm: “okay, that is his actual name and he turns to look at you like “what?””
13.Do you have a d&d character?
I’ve got three right now! my first was Salem, a drow bard, and my current icon. My second is Samara, a half orc ranger, and my most current one is for a space campaign, and they’re named Charlie Arcade, and they are a medic, which according to the dm who modified the game, its similar to a druid? haven’t played with them yet
15. What is your characters background story?
Salem is a sixteen year old brat who is the son of the inventor of Bugles, the snack (hence the name Salem Bugles). and idk what else to say about him? He didn’t want to follow in the family business, so he ran away to be a musician. He just loves the drama of being a part of a group of adventurers?
Samara was adopted by a halfling and a dwarf and raised in this small village where she had never seen another orc before and sort of stuck out like a sore thumb all her life. She grew up on a farm and became very self reliant and thrifty, like she is def the type who makes everything by hand and uses every part of the animal when hunting. Anyway, one day an adventurer comes through town and absolutely steals her heart and eventually they get married and her wife settles down in this small town with her and she becomes like this person who the townsfolk go to when they have issues so Samara gets used to her wife coming in and out a lot because she’s still an adventurer. Anyway, one day her wife goes on an adventure and doesn’t come back and its been awhile and Sarama is worried for her, so she goes on an adventure of her own to try to find her
Charlie Arcade i dont have much for other than they were part of an emergency response team on earth before they got laid off and then joined this space rescue team because there wasn’t much else offered to them and they are horrified of space
17. What is your favorite race?
I think drow always holds a special place in my heart
19.How often do you play d&d?
I used to play like once a week last summer, but then half of our group had to go back to school and that ended things for a little bit and now its been awhile i guess
hey thanks for playing!!

1 - A Favorite Character You Have Played? As a player, one of my all times favorite would have to be Ninja Gnome. His real name escapes me currently (it’s around here somewhere) but he was the second character i ever played (way back in original AD&D) and I did some cool stuff with him. A gnome thief who successfully saved the party three times, the most memorable being using a vorpal sword to decapitate a dragon.I already probably rambled too much on that, so i’ll say as a DM, i’ve got waaay too many favorites to properly choose. So i’ll just choose “The Wraith”, one of my favorite villains with a lovely cult.4 - Your Current CampaignDM - Well, we’re just starting to get into it! We just did like a pre-campaign adventure that’s planted some major seeds for later. I can’t say too much about the next campaign coming up but the major core of it is Cooking. It’s gonna be bizarre and (hopefully!!!) really fun.Player - It’s a planescape setting and we’re basically just fuckin around trying to find adventure. We had a pretty bad one where I lost a hand and someone lost an eye, but we’ve since raided a mob house and bought regenerations that basically tanked all our treasure. Right now we’re involved with a chain devil and retrieve his liquid pain, but i honestly wish we’d move away from these demons cause they’re always assholes. I’d rather go fight stuff in olympus or do something faction related, yknow?10 - Your Favorite Enemy and the One You Hate the MostFavorite enemy would hands down have to be the Grung. I love this little poison dart frog goblins. I even play as a Grung Monk (using One Grung Above rules) in a Planescape campaign currently! The one i hate the most is probably......giant lobsters. I don’t really hate any monsters but my first character died almost immediately into the session because a giant lobster crit him dead on the spot. I’m only just now realizing I think the DM fudged it so I’d end up playing a thief instead of a druid, which is cool but still very rude.25 - What Have Your Players Done That You Never Could Have Planned For?Y’know how there’s post-apocalyptic scenarios? This one was like mid-apocalyptic. The players had recently established a nation/base for humans and people they were saving in their attempt to recreate society. I thought I had planned for just about every outcome but then they threw me such a curveball. They created a judicial system compromising mostly of themselves just so they could hold a trial for custody of a dog. The judge was the most crazy and unpredictable player, which was a great choice on their part. The defendant had left his dog in the town and it had bonded with a psychic warrior child (Casul (def not lucas)) and he was suing him for custody because the dog was taking to him more. So he’s the defendant and hired on a knight to be his Lawer. [“Dont you mean lawyer?” “What? I am a man of the law!” he shouts as he draws his blade. “I am a lawyer!” He swings his blade an inch from your face. “My law is precise and swift.”] The other player hired on a time god to assist him being a lawyer for the kid (Chronioss was bored) and they spent a majority of the session holding this trial while I played the Lawer and occassionally spoke up as Legal Counsel. It was a fun lil break between the fighting gods and monsters most unholy.Sorry I wrote so much!!Thanks a ton for sending in this ask, I love talking about D&D.

Chapter 5
In this chapter you learn that a disinherited son of a noble house has stolen a Hero’s Relic and you are tasked with getting it back.
Before setting off for the first week, Byleth hit level 10 in the previous chapter and is now ready for an Intermediate class. I’ve elected to go with Thief.
Not only did I pass, but the minimum speed stat for a thief is apparently 11, and since I had a lower speed then the minimum it automatically boosted me to the proper level, It helps to offset all those terrible level ups I’ve been getting.
Week 1: Explore
Starting off with my usual explore phase ritual, I watch all the new supports I’ve unlocked, Go around and collect all of the quests and blue items scattered around the grounds. I check the garden, Asked Petra to join me this month again, asked her to tea, did choir practice, ate a meal with Petra and Lysithea, and ate another with Hilda and Lorenz. All in all nothing spectacular, accept for one minor detail…
AHHHHHH GHOST IGNATZ!?
Well to be perfectly honest when you lose a character this early in the game they are not technically ‘dead’ they just get injured and retire from combat. Apparently they still show up at the monastery, but you cant interact with them in a meaningful way. You cant give them gifts, or return their lost items. You cant invite them to meals, or observe their supports. Soooo, I’m still going to treat him as dead. This apparition is a lingering fragment of his being put here to make me feel bad for not protecting him better.
Week 2: Battle
In the second week, I chose to battle. I only have 1 action point for this phase, and I have 2 quests that need to be finished. Clearing the Way is a quests that unlocks additional merchants, and Maintaining Your Training doesn’t unlock anything meaningful. Try to guess which one I picked.
This map is the exact same map we’ve run a couple times all ready. They used it for that one fog battle. Strategy wasn’t anything special but here are the highlights
The level ups were nothing spectacular, but they were better than nothing. Byleth was the MVP
Week 3: Explore
Happy Birthyday, Leonie
Exploring again, 5 AP.
Trained Swords with Catherine, and Rhea. Choir practice then a meal with Leonie and Ingrid, and a second with Lorenz and Hilda.
  Assignment
Before starting the assignment Petra asked to join my house as a full member.
I accepted, obviously
With the assignment started, we tracked the bandits the stole the relic to an old tower in the Kingdom Territory.
This mission is unique in that there are several reinforcements that appear through out the map. Some of them will ambush you, and attack you the turn they appear. To make matters even worse, the ambushers also have Pass, meaning they can team up on your weakest members and there is generally little you can do about it. So we need to move forward with that in mind.
To help augment our forces Lady Rhea sent a knight with us. Gilbert is a Fortress Knight, and because of that carries a massive shield and axe. He is meant to be a tank of sorts.
For this I really wish I had a capture card so I could have recorded it. I’ll try to go into the strategy I used, but it is a little difficult only having screen shots.
Derp
You start off at the bottom of the map in a checker pattern. There are 3 units to the east in your immediate way: 2 to the north east and 1 on the other side of the wall in front of a treasure chest. Before you start clearing out units though, make sure you turn on the enemy danger areas. Specifically turn on the red markers for the 4 archers in the center of the map. This is important because if you (Or Gilbert) stop moving within range of one of those archers, not only will they hurt you, they will also aggro every other unit on the map to get to you. It cost me 2 Divine pulse to learn this lesson.
Do NOT stop within range of any of these archers.
My first goal was to clear out the three in front of me and bunch my self in the hallway so as to create a choke point for the first two waves of reinforcements.
By the time the first wave arrives you want to have your formation looking something like this. Put your tanks in the bottom row, pack in your mages in the second row, and your long range archers in the third row. This will make the enemies take on your tough units first instead of running though you and hitting the back rows. Strike with the achers/mages first where there is no retaliation, finish injured units off with your melee when you can kill them off without a counterattack happening. Damage the mages with high resistance units and finish them off in the same manor.
Once you move into this formation the first wave will appear and attack. If you did it quick enough, Gilbert will take the brunt of their attack. This is what you want. Sad as it may sound, you want Gilbert retreating from this battle. If he survives it he WILL aggro the archers on the hill. It’s just the way his programming works. You cant control him, and the only way to prevent him from stopping in one of those squares is to stand in them yourself, which defeats the entire purpose.
In my run Gilbert did not survive the first wave, but he did get a lucky crit and took one of them out for me.
Clearing out the initial 3 units, and the 3 remaining units of the first wave netted me the following levels
Lysithea, you are my most deadly unit, but if you keep up these levels you wont be for long.
Close up of the formation
Take the time to heal up. When you are ready, move one unit to this square to spawn the second wave
When the second wave spawns, take it the same way you took the first one. Clear out the second wave and use the key your found (or a thief) to open the chest for an Armorslayer sword. It will come in handy later.
The second wave got me these levels.
A solid level
After clearing out the second wave I pushed forward. There was a lone mage sitting in the middle of the hallway, I baited her out with Marianne who had the best Res in the army. She was able to tank her attacks without taking a single point of damage, your mileage may vary on that. Note: The healer on top of the hill did heal this mage, and I was afraid it would agro the entire hill, but that wasn’t the case. Once we killed the mage the healer did run around the hill towards me, but he didn’t bring anyone else with him. You can start setting up for the next ambush point while you wait for him to make it to you.
Setting up in this formation is perfectly safe, the ambush will not happen until someone from the formation steps beyond this first pillar,  so watch that you don’t step past it until you are ready to engage.
Once you do engage, 2 thieves will jump out of the wall to the east and one mage will approach from the west. The mage is too far to be a threat at this point, but if you followed my formation above and moves the entire formation 1 square west to spawn the ambush then the thieves will attack your two rightmost units. In my case this was Claude and Byleth. Each thief got off one attach, ate the counter attack of both, then I was able to pick apart the ambushers. Gaining me the following:
Marianne, come on 😦
I am not sure what specifically triggered the second wave from this spot, but it involved 2 more thieves from the exact same spot without anyone having to move. At this point the mage from the west caught up to me so I had 3 units to deal with. Clearing them out got me the following levels:
Once you get past this part the rest of the level up to the boss is pretty straight forward. Just take your time, take it one mob at a time, and if you can help it do not take any damage on the player turn. Move the rest of your army forward and progress.
From this point to the boss I gained the following levels:
Not off to a great start, Petra 😦
Marianne, no.
See, this is what the rest of you should be aiming for. Good job, Leonie
Leonie took out Michlan with this shot, AND she got a superior level up
With Leonie’s arrow Michlan was defeated, but he wasn’t quite ready to let defeat claim him. He attempted to use the Hero’s Relic he has stolen, but because he didn’t possess a crest of any kind it transformed him into a giant beast.
Using the last remaining gambits, I was able to break all four of his shield plates, which rewarded me with 5 umbral steels. I also got one of his health bars down.
Byleth was able to take a second of his health bard with a crit with the Sword of the Creator
Lorenz finished the beast off with a well placed Fire Spell
46 turns? If felt like it took a lot more than that.
I went extremely slowly in this run. I basically walked around the entire arena in formation being careful of additional ambushes. I only ran into the 4 total waves, I dont know if there are others that I didn’t trigger, but even going as slow as I did I only used a bit over half of the total turns available to me.
Take it slow and you can get through this without losing anyone.
