Maybe can I request luxiem hc with a s/o who's suddenly disappear, become difficult to trace and just leave a message "lets break up" without reason but actually hospitalized? Their s/o always perfectly hide the fact about often being hospitalized bc congenital disease, s/o want to make the boys hate s/o and sacrifice all of the feeling. i imagine shu to search everywhere for you when you sent that text

he just wants to know, why?

he'd eventually find you after calling several places to see if you were seen anywhere near the places. he would run to the hospital to see if you're absolutely fine.

when he saw you laying there peacefully, chest heaving up and down, he relaxed his tensed muscles after maybe several days of searching high and low.

he would stay by you whenever you can until you open your eyes to his amethyst ones.

you were shocked to say the least when you saw shu sitting next to you.

"why'd you text me that?" he would ask at last.

you would hesitate to explain but reassures you.

"i... just didn't want you to worry about me as much..." you said once you explained everything.

he let out a breath of relief with the knowledge of why you suddenly disappeared.

"you'd never be a bother to me."

ah, the detective himself.

mysta would definitely be terribly insecure, confused, and worried with your sudden text and disappearance.

he obviously worked on missing people cases, but he never knew how the feeling was when somebody you knew dearly just straight up disappeared with a text of "let's break up" without anything else to explain.

he would try to sniff out the last places you've been, but to his dismay, there was nothing to go off of.

eventually, he received a call from the hospital that his s/o was hospitalized

oh boy you know that he'd get in the car a second later

he might've went over the speed limit? but he's fine.

i think-

finally, when he saw you there, sitting up and reading a book, he absolutely wanted to hug the shit out of you. but he didn't know if he should?

so he just said something, "hey... why'd you just leave me without a trace?!" he'd pout.

you looked up from the book to see his iconic fox hat and ashen hair, "i knew it wouldn't take long for you to get here."

"but i'm being serious, i really feel like it would be better for us to break up."

he'd look at you shocked, "but why?"

"i don't... don't want you to be worried about me all the time, i'd just be... more of a burden and weight to you," your voice had shook slightly.

"not a chance! you're mine... and only mine... okay? don't do that again to me."

ike would call you several times and when you haven't picked up after maybe 6-8 times, he'd get extremely anxious.

he'd explain the entire problem to luxiem and all

then everyone's trying to look for you and eventually either himself or another one of the members found you there in the hospital.

you were sound asleep when ike visited, and he stayed there all night just to see you speak to him again.

he'd probably be reading a book as he waits(ah yes, all nighters. couldn't agree more)

you would wake to ike's voice, softly humming a tune as he read.

or you would see ike right next to your bed asleep, with his book in his lap, forgotten.

"good morning, dear. how are you feeling?" he'd tiredly ask

"w...why did you come here? to see me?" you ask, staring in his golden green irises. "i thought i said..."

"shh... i know you don't actually mean that. if you think you'd just be a burden, think again."

so i haven't written for luca at all so i hope this is still to your liking!

when luca found your text, he rushed to your house and found that... you were missing.

he'd definitely get some search team in the mafia to find you

i mean, can't really argue with that. you might've been kidnapped or something of the like by the rival mafia.

eventually, some of the agents in the search team found you and reported where you were to him.

and so, he arrived by your ward door. but apparently the hospital staff didn't let him in so you could hear him trying to reason with the staff.

he failed, sadly. but the next day you awaken to luca's face very close to yours.

"AHSGADSJKAH- oh. luca? why are you here..?" you softly pushed his face away after realizing.

"you left without anything behind except that text."

"i expected you to find me eventually but not this early," you already predicted that he'd find you anyways. i mean, it's luca kaneshiro for what we know

"i will keep on coming back, whether you like it or not"

vox is going to speed around your shared house.

when he realizes you're not anywhere in the house, he notifies his fellow genmates.

everyone is panicking to find where tf you went

until a few days of failing to locate where you are. kinda sad tbh

suddenly, he gets a feeling that you're in the general direction of the hospital.

bringing along some of your favorite snacks in a bag, he asks the receptionist if they have you in the building

they say yes and told him where you were, luckily he was right with following his intuition.

you were scrolling through twitter when he entered, tilting your head at the demon.

"darling, i've been looking for you."

"vox... i thought i already texted you about this."

"you did, but i do not think that's what you want in the slightest," he hands you a bag of [favorite snack] as he spoke.

he would probably still be flirty as you stay in the hospital, sending you a message every morning and night. even during his afternoon visits, he's still flirty with you.

"as much as you want me to leave, there's simply no way to let go of me."

NOTE - there's probably an obvious answer of which boys i fall hard for. unless it isn't? but this is the first actual writing that has all of luxiem written for. hope this helps with comfort~

Pixiv Recs. Obito's name

Have I already mentioned I love the Japanese fandom for all the wonderful comic strips and doujinshi? Oh, do I love it! They inspire me so much to create mine. I haven't rec'd anything in a while because tumblr shadowbanned me for posting too many links last time xD But this one! Oh!

It's common knowledge in the fandom that the word KAKASHI means 'scarecrow', but what about OBITO? Ooooh, it has a meaning too ;) But it's such a rare, outdated word that even (some) Japanese are shocked at the revelation--judging by the comments on Pixiv to this bittersweet and touching comic:

✏ "The name he threw away" by さあり. Obito's parents discuss their soon-to-be-born son's name. I was not surprised by the meaning only bc it had been the first thing I looked up in the dictionary when I'd learned about the development of this character after 12 years of being out of the fandom :D Author's comment: "The man who spent most of his life under the aliases Tobi and Madara."

Translation: Obito's Dad: Have you decided on a name? Obito's Mom: Yes. I've searched books and thought about this a lot. Dad: We're expecting a boy, so his name must be intimidating to his enemies and very powerful. Mom: Powerful, yes. But I would like his name to be endowed with more than that… The name is very important. It is a gift given by parents to their child, the gift that stays with the child for life. If we disappear from his life someday, he will never forget our love because his name will still contain the intentions and thoughts we put into it. 首 'obito' - a hereditary title (kabane) in Yamato-period Japan (250–710 CE). Obito means 'leader, commander', also something like 'the man in charge' (e.g. an obito could be the head of a 'bemin' family (a small clan subservient to a more noble clan in Yamato), or the man in charge of some duty, or a professional).

The word seems to have originated from the word combination "oo hito" (lit. 'big [authoritative] person'), but it was never written with these two charactes. In fact obito is one of the readings of the character 首 SHU/kashira/kubi 'head, neck', which hints to the meaning (just like in English the word head also means 'chief').

And the author of this comic saw great irony here. 'Leader' who renounced his own name along with the feelings his parents put into it 💔 I loved it.

This situation has already become a bit tense and despite that, i still want to give my opinion about this because I CAN'T TAKE ITTT—

The truth is, i don't support either ‘side’.

On the one hand, what you mention is true about how some put Ayato on a golden throne where he does nothing and is 'perfect', and i personally don't like that because i mean, then you missed the whole point, bro.

Literally the plot of More Blood was that Yui began to idealize an image of Ayato that was not him.

Why say something like "Ayato-kun wouldn't do something like that!" when yes? even i, as an Ayato fan, recognize it, because i feel that when you want to appreciate something you should do it for what it is and not just for the part you want/want it to be. It's okay to question some things your favorite does, people.

Reject that Ayato possesses his claws like any other character would be to deny him in some way. It doesn't matter if he is the more good, approachable, ‘human’ and cutest —all this said by Satoi— of all the diaboys.

Ayato is sweet, sensitive, funny, loyal, brave among other things; but it's also true that he can be VERY angry, selfish, arrogant, self-centered, dumb... and kind of an idiot, but that's okay! ♡ because in the end it's what makes Ayato... Ayato.

I even make fun of Ayato by calling him my 'pendejo favorito'. /srs

I'm not going to get upset just because someone doesn't like something i do. I don't like Kanato or Shu, and i don't see why someone should throw ugly comments at me because of that, you know?

even if you said —it's an example—: “Ayato doesn't have traumas, that's why he's the most normal lol” like someone i read, most likely i would say something like what a fooool and go on with my life. There's no need to get violent.

And, i also agree in that sense that some say that "Ayato's Route is the only true one", when— then... why would there be the possibility of choosing other boys? It doesn't have much sense, right?

But that's another point i want to get to.

Ayato is the protagonist. He is the main hero.

And it's not because i'm saying it! says Rejet, Satoi and half the japanese community. To deny it would also be like covering the sun with a finger on your part, because he has always been there and it is a fact, there is always a boy who is the main one in all otomes. As everything.

And because of his role, that means he's more connected to the main story and the heroine than the other guys. And it makes sense, Satoi loves Ayato and Ayayui, even mentioned that Ayato and their concept was the first to see the light of day. They have always been the main couple; even in the anime!

I don't know how to explain it—? but they work really well, they have a very nice chemistry and in general, it almost seems as if they were created to be together ♡ even when they are not a couple, Yui loves Ayato a lot and he even helps her in some routes that are not his with her boy, like Kanato and Laito ones.

But that DOESN'T mean the other guys aren't important, not at all. They can be the demon king as well as Ayato in his destined routes and ALL routes are canon in their own universe. They are all important and interesting.

Honorable mention: as an Ayato fan too... i don't think his route in LE has been ‘that’ bad. Definitely being booed so much in his Route was something terrible... but in terms of story, CGA, character development —by Ayato and Yui— it was pretty good. Maybe it's not the best, but it's not the worst either.

Trivial matter, i do love how you could be both reserved, rational and (bubbly? Lovingly?) expressing your love for your oshi. You got him a nickname too! 😆 (i’m still struggling to find mine haha.) Good for you girl, good for you.

About the latter parts, i don’t really have much to say. There’re paragraphs that i agree with, and statements that i don’t. Though i still respect your opinion nonetheless. Last part, indeed! The route makes senses to me in a logical way. That way, it doesn’t appear “bad” to me either. And… that’s it. Have a great day too!

I have,,, so many random details for this AU (which I should also name but that's for Later) and I hope you don't mind me listing them here

First up, I'm sticking with serial killer Valkyrie. I wanna give Shu a dramatic ass villain worthy monologue about the beauty of life and death only for Leo to punch him in the face or something hkahdjs. In terms of the specific murders I feel like they'd try to leave no marks on the victims, harvest their organs, then sew them together and dress them in outfits they designed. Mika specifically takes their hearts don't ask me why

I have a lot of relationship tidbits already planned out and Madara Rinniki friendship is one. Like I can vividly see Niki owning some kind of restaurant or cafe close to Madara's place so he's always over there late nights for food and everyone practically knows him so the day he brings Leo there everyone's swarming the table being all nosy

Got the idea of a small b plot where knights thinks Madara is the killer so they try to stick to Leo and warn him to be careful meanwhile Leo's spacing out like "that man could pick me up like it's nothing and that's kinda hot"

Speaking of hot, you mentioned Leo with a hair clip so now I have like a specific scene where Leo barges into Madara's apartment late at night because he figured out something important and instead of listening Madara is just focused on the little clip

This one is kinda out of nowhere but I wanna name the college Nightingale. No explanation just Nightingale

i totally agree on the key maiden plot being bs!! it absolutely ruined dante's route for me :/

now i'm wondering about your opinion on orlok? bc i personally couldn't really see how his route was supposed to be romantic. and oh man that bad end left an impression... but i also found the good end unsettling, somehow.

I feel bad for Orlok as a character, I think if the writing for him was better he could’ve been okay, but as it is he got the shaft a lot. They made him very sympathetic, what with his backstory and upbringing, but his father is never held accountable and is even kinda framed as a good guy? No thanks bruh, because of you, Orlok thinks it's okay to go through life eating only bread and drinking water - basically having crumbs for life. Boy is malnourished on both love and food. Mostly I just want nice things for him but I did personally find him a bit boring. He’s not as bad as the Falzones though, its just that cinnamon rolls aren’t my thing. And as a love interest? Gonna pass on that. Orlok felt like one of Lili’s missing children from the church orphanage. He just fits right in:

She read him bedtime stories and tucked him in FFS, their whole deal was very mothering. I have some issues with how Orlok sees Lili too, as if she’s some sort of flawless creature from the heavens. He’s not as bad as Henri on the judgey mc judgerson scale- the latter basically shaming Lili in the Finale whenever he sees her for hanging out with the Mafia (something she can't really help.) Still though Orlok said some stuff in the game that’s very…virtue guarding that I don’t vibe with.

Liliana is also extremely unlikable in Orlok’s route, as with most MCs she changes a bit based on who she’s with. Lili in Orloks route doubles down on the religious aspect of her character and is hella judgy. She calls the Lao Shu Heathens, much like how Orlok calls Yang the Devil (lol) and while yes, they’re not good people- I think them not believing in God should be the last thing on your priority list to point them out as ‘bad guys.’ Also the whole Luka thing was awful. Dying orphan is dying but OH WE MUST BAPTISE HIM. Yes because that’s what’s most important here.

While I’m here and on a rant, let me just say - I don’t like the portrayal of any of the mafia bosses in Orloks route too. It feels like a different writer handled them. Some people complain about Dante being OOC but I have less of a problem with him here, it tracks that he’d go unstable. Dude is very fragile and weak without Nicola and the memory of his dad’s killer getting unlocked makes him snap- reasons are given for it that we can follow.

Gil and Yang though? Nah they got screwed over here.

Gilbert in every other route is pretty amiable to the public. He’ll kill the innocent without hesitation but only if the circumstances call for it (i.e: Lili being Yang’s woman makes it okay for Gil to shoot her/ the boat incident where he sinks the ship and kills the human trafficking victims) Otherwise though, he’s a ‘for the people’ guy. He didn’t get his leadership through heritage (Dante) or by being strong (Yang) he got it because of his people skills, his charisma. In his route, he’s clearly got some interest in what’s going on with Lili but he protects her and takes in Luka largely because he cares about the citizens. What does he do in Orlok’s route? Well fuck all that stuff, Lili and Orlok interrupted his business deal!!! …Because they were fleeing for their lives from the Falzones and the Falzone’s were shooting loudly! So it’s all Orlok’s fault Gil's deal went south and now Gil must kill him!

Yeah that…makes sense.

With Yang, I think a lot of people won’t notice how different his writing is. They’ll dismiss him as ‘well he’s Yang, he’s crazy.’ True, but Yang has certain things that make him tick. In his route and others, its established he values survival. He will do anything to get entertainment yes, but also survive- because he wants to keep playing. He wants to have fun. Yang specifically values Wisdom in his route, because wisdom = survival. He likes it when Lili cleverly fights back to survive. What does Yang do in Orlok’s route? He sets up this plan for everyone to chase Orlok and try to kill him, just because, and then fights Orlok- while saying:

Like wow. Way to miss the point of his character. He’s also very a cartoony villain here.

Seriously who tf is this guy. Why the hell would Yang care about that.

I won’t touch on Orloks bad end because there's not much to say. It's your standard 'lets now horrifically torture these characters.' I hear some of the bad ends in 1926 go in that direction too.

Time for Word of Honor episode 2 (part 1)!!

-I know opening credit-type sequences tend to have minor and sometimes major spoilers so I haven't payed much attention to what happens on the screen during the song, just vibing to the music and I still like this song

-The whip is clearly cgi when she's swinging it and look as an untamed fan I am not going to knock the show for bad cgi, it could be worse for sure, but man the absolute lack of any power whatsoever behind this whip is hilarious lmao

-THE SHADE OH MY GOD like scolding her for making a scene is understandable but my dude you're coming for her life

-This dude really just sees a man who looks poor and is like "that one is probably bad". Take a note from your young master and don't judge a book by its cover, we love someone who wants to help those in need

-"He was as silly as him too" It's!!!!! Not!!!!! Silly!!!!!! To be a generous person who wants to see the best in others!!!!!

-Fake face has pretty boy intrigued now too! Let me in your brain pretty boy, I want to understand what you're thinking bc you seem to have been having Thoughts™ this whole time

-This fight with the song playing is like a dance and is really quite beautiful, good job choreographers!

-Also one of my favorite things about shows/movies with martial arts is when they do really extra shit like doing an ENTIRE flip to dodge a thing instead of like...ducking. Idk maybe the extra energy is worth it to keep the momentum going?

-There's a whole ass tracking device in this man's fan I swear

-Ngl pretty obsessed with him rn. The confidence, the audacity, the announcing yourself by attacking (confirming what he was thinking earlier?), the blatant hidden motives and the response like it's ridiculous to question why he's here I'm loving all of it

-I didn't mention in the first episode but his robes are phenomenal and I dig this whole aesthetic really. I'm also curious if moving forward this glazed amour is going to be actually significant or more of a macguffin along the lines of the yin iron in the untamed which just served as a motivator to move the plot forward

-Whether it's a macguffin or a thing with real significance is almost unimportant to me, as the driving thing that gets me into shows is characters and their relationships and development but I am curious nonetheless.

-Also they're looking Zhou Zi Shu but unfortunately for them he is fake face now which they reminded you by cutting right back to him after they mentioned that in case you forgot I guess

-I made fun of the effects with the whip earlier so it's only fair to point out that the effect with his veins here is really cool though you can't really tell with just a screenshot

-Aww and now we get a look into his morality and proof that the young master from earlier was at least somewhat correct in his judgement of fake face as "righteous" as he notices the trapped sparrow and deems saving people more important. I won't make total character judgments only 2 episodes in though

-I have also somehow neglected to mention that these guys look DOPE and I like them a lot

-This dramatic bitch is still my favorite so far though THE SMILE HE GIVES like "yeah I'm suddenly here for no discernible reason you know about what about it?"

shadow and bone s1 thoughtsies

gonna put this under the cut bc i don’t wanna annoy anyone <3 also bear in mind i only read the six of crows duology so any grisha trilogy opinions are biased <3

overall rating of the show: 7/10. it was really fun and i had :0 moments constantly

pros, aka things i liked:

- alina and mal. as far as im told they’re very annoying and without chemistry in the books so i applaud them for making them more interesting and nuanced and i rooted for them the whole time

- the aging up. tbh if they had tried to make this a ya series i would have started to beat some people up because alina and the darkling’s realtionship just gets really fucking awful if she’s a 17 year old kid so im glad they’re all in their 20s now. especially for the crows bc there is really no reason they had to be teens in the books even, they all act like theyre 24 already.

- most of the cast. they were really good. jessie mei lin and archie renaux were surprisingly fun. ben barnes as the darkling was such a good choice because he is literally older than the rest of the cast and that made him even creepier. i dont know much about the shadow and bone characters but bregha seemed great to me too.

- the story from the shadow and bone aspect. it was really well paced, i liked those flashbacks and the way alina started to get more and more submersed into the little palace world, how she started to forget who she was little by little.

- malina. the ONE LINERS THEY THREW AT EACH OTHER. WOW. love.

- the worldbuilding. the magic and the locations felt so alive and refreshing after swallowing got for like 5 years. effervescent.

- VERY good ending, i liked the high stakes, i was gripping my seat.

cons, aka things i didn’t quite like:

- the fucking. six of crows storyline. what was the reason!! what was the reason!! asides from them trying to ponder to the soc fans, there was really no motivation for them to be there. if you took all of their scenes away the show wouldn’t change?? we can have a miniseries spinoff guys we dont need the weird combo. i would have allowed the nina matthias storyline even but why drag the rest of them here?????

- kaz. this is not my boy! this is not my boy. the actor they chose.... i don’t vibe with him. who are you. also his characterization was all over the place this is not scheming face brekker this is some common white boy! also not relevant for his character technically but relevant for ME. why arent his eyes brown. i feel that was an important thing why arent his eyes brown like bitter coffee

- also this has been bothering me since the cast was announced but nina. what happened here.

- i have to mention the weird racism. like. again i haven’t read the grisha trilogy, were they this anti shu in the books? like, in the soc books there is the casual microagression and small shit but this was so??? and also i dont understand why zoya was being fantasy world racist against alina because as far as i know zoya is a brown woman? so like? its very strange and clunky and im thinking it would have been better if they scraped that whole subplot

- alina’s shu heritage. this is kinda connected with the point above. im glad they had an actress of color play alina, because im tired of white ya protagonists, but this whole “they bully me” subplot felt kinda lacking? like, i would have liked to see her react more about the anti shu sentiment, speak more about it, also her reaction with the instructor who was shu, or her speaking to other poc that were part of the second army like??? we could have explored that a lot more and given her depth? and also the fact that there are no other shu in this season was odd. one would think they’d be interested in the fact that the sun summoner is half shu

- the first two episodes were a little bit Too Much because they were trying to throw all of this info at you and things were happening at the same time. which wouldnt have happened if you didnt have all of that kidnapping plot to begin with!!

- just. the amount of characters they had left the secondary characters feeling too flat. they should have focused on the shadow and bone characters and nothing else!!!!

okay, final rule of wolves thoughts, clearly very spoilery, also literally just me talking about writing --

-there was a LOT going on plot wise but I feel like it was all paced pretty well, but at the end it did fall apart a little? mayu's pov just drops out?? (that's the book you should write next leighb not more crows as much as I love the crows but I'll get to that) zoya being queen is like phenomenal but also is really rushed?? same with nina and hanne?? they all become rulers completely unchallenged, without any difficulty? -again, phenomenal moments and rightfully so and I'm glad they happen and they SHOULD, that difficulty shouldn’t always be there, nina calling it a beautiful dream but it being real matters so much, but it just doesn't feel.......narratively well done idk idk -i think it is just that it feels really rushed in some way -like i don’t want them to have to work harder for that. but it IS really, really rushed

-captain inej. my whole heart -kaz and jesper and wylan..........also my whole heart -kaz. my boy. the light of my fucking life. -l o v e h i m

-i loved seeing zoya and genya and alina hang out at the very very end and wish there'd been moreeeeee

-ONCAT’S STILL ALIVE, THERE IS A GOD -misha.......... :(

-david's death -- on one hand, the cruel casualties of war, even when you think nothing can go wrong, the contrast in it happening right after the wedding, war and life can turn on a dime and that’s just, how it happens -- but, ugggg. It hurts bc there was so much of david and genya being precious and that shouldn't be the slap in the face it is when you read it again because then it's not sweet it's just foreshadowing loss and that's actually aggravating to think about. because we got so MUCH of it in rule of wolves. -especially bc david is THE ONLY casuality of the cast in this book????? literally the only one?????? unless i forgot someone???? -not that I WANTED more cast to die but. big casualties in alina's story and one (1) here. yes they've already lost a lot and zoya's garden shows that but, then especially why kill david

-i don't know if I think the darkling gets redeemed -- I think it's a little funny that he brings together the starless one worshippers and he super hates them bc they aren't what he thinks he deserves and he can't completely manipulate them -- and I think him being resurrected in yuri in king of scars was a FASCINATING twist. because you read that and you think, oh my god, how are they going to handle that??????

-but, that's the thing, in writing -- it's not enough to write something that's a fascinating twist, you need to follow through with the right consequences of that twist. which means, you have the darkling again. what happens with him? he’s killed again -- but if immediately, why bring him back? if they wait to kill him, what is his worth to the plot that he lives longer? (and then he manages to manipulate them again!! as much as i wanted to see alina, i was really surprised that they actually, legitimately put them in the same room, that they even considered it, that they even asked alina!!! yes, nikolai will expend any avenue to help ravka -- but put alina and the darkling in the same room??????????)

-he’s not killed again, or right away -- then he has to hang around. what does he do? does he try to regain his followers? he can’t because they aren’t who he wants. he has no one to go to. he doesn’t even go to alina again even if he knows where she is. does he immediately plot against nikolai? but even the darkling admitted he can’t, but, since he did keep his powers, he’s clearly capable of it, actually. so then he’s just, trying to get the worshippers together and it just keeps going wrong for him like a sitcom plot? if he has to live -- is he redeemed? not every character can be redeemed. not every character DESERVES to be redeemed. does he hide and we never see him for the rest of the book? then that leaves an unresolved plot thread to be brought back later, and why? and then why not just kill him? -then does he become a bigger plot problem for the characters that’s kind of unnecessary?

-so it brings me back to, again -- as fascinating a twist as it was, was it necessary? does the act of following through with the consequences come to outweigh the power of the twist, because those consequences cause more problems? -and in general i think leighb is really good at working with ‘x happens -- there are consequences’ in her plots, so that’s why i’m so concerned about picking them apart

-i’m sorry to make this like all about lulu talks about writing semantics but i respect leighb a lot as a writer particularly in her worldbuilding and characters which is why i want to think about this on a technical level -so in the end -- is it a good twist??? or does it only harm or reduce the narrative that came before (he had to die and that was okay!!!!) and add an unnecessary additional plot problem to the narrative now??

-but -the darkling having to be the one in the thornwood, and finally stop the spread of the fold, what he himself was responsible for, that he deserves to finally suffer for because the darkling is a fuckwad and I hold like zero sympathy for him????? beautiful beautiful beautiful. (-but, again, it felt kind of too convenient, to have that be the answer to the blight.) (what should be the answer? i don’t know. it makes me wonder if the blight was something else unnecessary) -but then genya forgiving him, for knowingly giving her to the king??? (not everyone has to be forgiven. not everyone can be forgiven.) zoya fulfilling his wish to be a saint???? which she did not have to do???? (guess it would appease the followers though??) giving him a pov???? like we need to know where he is, and it's funny that he's pissed off at the followers, but also maybe shouldn't be funny??? -oh what would've been fun (the good fun. not funny fun) was him wrestling with yuri more

-SPEAKING OF WRESTLING i know nikolai has to come to terms with the demon somehow and the failed obisbaya apparently helped but the demon was in the back quite a bit, I thought, even for as much as he shows up -maybe it’s just because it’s been like a year since i read king of scars

-okay so the ending -i know leighb said she wanted this to be like the grand finale of grishaverse but that she was still open to more and like i completely understand that but -knowing when to end something is important, too. -every story has a natural conclusion. I think, yeah, there’s always, some piece that could probably still be talked about, BUT – you can’t just keep going back to a story or a world and try to draw more out of it, keep pushing something in it so you can push your characters and your story more and more. eventually it won’t feel the same. it won’t be a natural ending anymore, it will be, here is an end, OH LOOK HERE’S A NEW THING, here is an end, OH LOOK HERE’S ANOTHER NEW THING, and that’s already happening a little here. (-i don’t think it was bad that it happened with nikolai at the end of ruin and rising -- that’s leighb addressing the consequences of something that she set up, and why i think king of scars was necesary.) -stories end. character arcs, as we know them, come to an end. if not, then they are just mined for content, usually angst and drama, and that’s especially not good writing. you risk stopping creating something that feels genuine. -so yeah i think king of scars was necessary to talk about the aftereffects of nikolai’s demon and where ravka is going. but i don’t know if i think it was successful. -what bothered me about king of scars, even with the parts i did like, was actually nikolai and zoya meeting elizabeta and juris and grigori -i don’t know if i just thought it was unexpected and i’d feel differently if i read it again?? but i never forget reading it last year and feeling just, weird about it, like it was too out of left field, idk -i think the connection between saints = grisha is important. but again it’s all just, execution stuff

-i don’t think she should’ve set up a whole new adventure in the last like four pages, if it’s supposed to also have the ability to be a contained end to the story -i don’t think it make sense to tease a new story!! i don’t think it’s needed!! i think it should have just had a plain happy ending with zoya taking the crown and being with nikolai!! i don’t think that’s bad!!!! -i know the big thing is that, the downfall of grisha is the desire for power, and that’s what got alina (at least she got better. like the one time where ‘character lost powers’ is okay) and especially the darkling, but zoya has come really far in these two books in how she sees other people and working on relying on them as people she loves and i liked her chapters the best and they were what hit me the hardest, and i know it’s going to be a worry for her but i don’t think the idea of her becoming the darkling is something that should be given that weight -ESPECIALLY IF IT WAS ONLY FOR FOUR PAGES

-so yeah i think the logical next book would be a place leighb hasn’t explored, like with six of crows. -there’s a lot to do with the shu and the kerghud that she could do and as much as i love kaz and think another heist would be cool, a heist has already been done and i think it would be a wasted opportunity to do that without doing something new in the grishaverse

-it honestly really made me want to reread six of crows because i missed the crows a lot -and i think it says a lot that so many people liked the chapters with kaz and jesper and wylan so much in rule of wolves -that was why i caved and bought rule of wolves right away!!! because i wanted to see the boy!!!!!! but i did also care about nikolai and zoya. -personally i do think six of crows are the best books in grishaverse. i think they’re the most tightly plotted and have the best characters and are the most CONTAINED and the most compelling (even if i can’t always follow kaz’s implied background machinations) (i can’t always keep track of all the politics either!!) (not that big of a deal for me, though.) -that duology is close to perfect. i think everything wraps up almost completely neatly (although i will, actually, be wondering now, about how death is handled in a narrative, re: matthias, because when i was reading them i thought, well, someone has to die in crooked kingdom, but, why? but anyway), and i love that the ending of it all is 1) characters continuing to change, and showing they will continue to change 2) inej reuniting with her parents aaaaaaa (-worth noting though that the epilogue of ruin and rising is indeed one of my favorite things as well, too.)

-i did still enjoy rule of wolves, though!!! a lot of little moments i really really liked, and nikolai and zoya were beautiful and delightful and i love them too, and i do kind of want to reread king of scars and this one again to see if my opinion has changed when i read them closer together but -i also do really just want to reread six of crows, again.

Thoughts/Review: Beyblade Burst ChouZ episode 50 (Pulling out all the stops)

Holy crap this is definitely one of the most intense episodes of the season, and did the battle justice.

This is a very pretty episode as well, and there are quite a few little details that make it all the better. (I also had to rewatch this a few times so I wasn’t just squeeing over the pretty animation). Warning, this was a very visual episode, mostly bc pretty animation, so there are quite a few screenshots this time around.

Apologies for the lateness, I had a weird funk this week and so just couldn’t really work on anything >> Hopefully it won’t be a problem next week >>

Spoilers ahead, so under the cut, we go~

Hold onto your hats folks, this is a wild one.

Warning: the animation is very much like s02 ep36, with all the disturbing faces from Phi being enhanced. (There is also a call-back to said episode, but I’ll get to that)

Honestly this episode was definitely hammering in the typical Beyblade narrative that bonds are important, but it was still very pretty. (Also it was fun seeing Phi finally get knocked down a few pegs). One thing to keep in mind with this episode is that the title is “Aiga’s Super Z Resonance”, thus there is a lot of focus on that. This episode honestly felt so well put together, I wasn’t questioning why anything happened. Everything seemed to add up and I just felt happy we have this episode.

So the fourth round starts off by Phi plunging Aiga into some nightmare realm. Legit, this first bit made me cry because you could just feel Aiga start to despair, and that was something that you didn’t want to happen (thank the gods that Achilles responded to Aiga’s tears by reminding him he has people who believe in him). Also Phi’s whispering was really fcking creepy and I hope to never hear something like that again.

Honestly my favourite moment from round 4 was that moment where Phi thinks he’s got the win...and then nope, Achilles is still intact. It’s always fun to see when the antagonist doesn’t get their way ^^

In between round 4 and 5 came the scene we’ve all been waiting for--someone asks Aiga “are you having fun Beyblading/battling?”, and he answers “yes!”. That dialogue is the basic sum-up of Aiga’s character development--going from “I Beyblade to get stronger” to “I Beyblade because I have fun”. (Also Achilles is massive compared to Aiga :v)

So round 5 rolls around...and hooh boy this is the intense one. This round also has my absolute favourite moment, in that Aiga shows how he not only has the back of his Bey Soul, but also has the back of his little sibling--the two things Phi does not. (This scene also made me think of something else, but I’ll get to that in a separate post) I just love contrasts between opponents yee~

Hello callback to Valt doing the same thing with Valkyrie--which considering Aiga started by mimicking Valt, is a nice callback to make. Also it shows that Aiga has a stable bond with Achilles, like Valt has with Valkyrie. I’m proud of this boy

-Insert Super Saiyan joke here- Aside from the joke though, I think this was a manifestation of Aiga’s full resonance with Achilles, as it’s after this that Aiga does the whole “summon a sword ala Shu back in s02 ep36″ thing.

I appreciated this callback, since Shu’s thing back then was a twisted early form of resonance...just reliant mostly on him, hence why he summoned a giant axe for himself and not a giant axe for his Bey Soul. This time, it’s much purer, thus the giant sword is not meant for Tiny Aiga.

I think you could tell from how the light was split that this was a classic light vs dark comparison. Interestingly, Aiga wanders into the darkness, gives Phi his bey back, and then runs back into the light--all while Phi sinks further (re: walks further into) into the darkness. This is a pretty clear “Aiga has faced the darkness but can come back out, unlike Phi who is stuck” metaphor, but I still appreciated it, especially given the primary audience. (Also it pretty much solidifies how far Aiga’s come character-development wise)

Hearts confronting Phi at the end of the episode wasn’t exactly a fun moment, but it was well appreciated.

I just love that we go from siblings arguing (Phi and Hearts) to a sibling voicing their happiness that they have their older brother (Naru and Aiga). The contrast is great, and it made for an adorable moment with Naru. (Also the cuteness from Naru telling the seagull to be quiet made for a squee-worthy moment)

Next week brings us to the conclusion of ChouZ (has it really been a year with these characters, I wonder), and a Valt vs Aiga battle. Honestly, I’m not really fussed either way, though it would be nice to see Aiga lose and accept said loss gracefully, showing he’s grown so much since the last time they fought. I’m just hoping it ends on a good note, considering this is the end of Aiga’s story.

Overall: Damn this is one of my favourite episodes, hands down.

Some thoughts about Tsurune through episode 10, kinda negative (nothing really bad tho lol) so I’m putting it behind a cut. :)

3 big disclaimers to begin with: 1. I have generally enjoyed Tsurune and I’m glad that I’ve been watching it! 2. Obviously I haven’t seen the last 2 episodes of the series yet so maybe this has already been rendered inaccurate. 3. I’m not...the MOST into sports club anime in general, so maybe some of this is just because it’s not really my thing lol.

...But anyway, it feels to me like this show has a kind of weird sense of timing when it comes to dispatching its various plot developments, and the result is that I’m just not THAT invested in it, even as I get near the end? Basically, a bunch of stuff either wraps up way too quickly and/or isn’t introduced until weirdly late in the show?

The beginning where Minato wasn’t in the club yet actually really did pique my interest because having a sports anime where the main character is like...strongly resistant to joining a sports club, and his primary sports relationship is with a mentor outside of the club is kind of different, I think? But in the end both Minato and Masaki joined the club pretty quickly so.....ok, I guess. 🤷‍♀️

The absolute BIGGEST one for me: The Seiya-Minato-Shu triangle, plus Seiya and Minato’s kind of codependent relationship is actually really compelling to me, but they didn’t really lay it all out there until Shu’s conversation with Seiya at the end of episode 8? And it seems like it’s been more or less resolved by the end of episode 10?? Couldn’t they have introduced it earlier and dragged it out way more?

The whole Kirisaki crew is decently interesting, I guess, but again they don’t really interact with the main characters until episode 7? (This is especially a pity because Nanao and Kaito’s respective ways of responding to the Kirisaki guys made them way more interesting to me than they were until that point, because they hadn’t had a ton to do before then.)

Similarly, while Masaki’s insecurities have kinda been implied for a while before his conversation with Morioka-sensei at the end of episode 10, that’s interesting stuff! Why couldn’t we have gotten a lot more of that?

What was going on in the first half of the series that was more important than all of this stuff lol.

I honestly don’t really have any ideas for how to fix these issues (bc i’m like...really not that invested tbh lol) but I’d maybe start by bumping the preliminaries WAY up, like, to episode 4 or so, or by having some kind of other plot device that forces the main guys to interact with the Kirisaki team (or at least Shu) much earlier.

Tbh I actually admire how Tsurune is kind of....lowkey(??) and doesn’t go way overboard with fanservice or ridiculous levels of drama or whatever, but the downside of that is that I think a higher level of writing is required to make that kind of lowkey narrative pop, and I’m not sure if we’re quite at that level yet. Looking forward to seeing if the last 2 episodes can change my mind, though!

Edit: I forgot one more thing! This is more character-related than plot-related, but I feel like it’s the same kind of issue: When the girls were introduced, I was like “oh, that’s interesting and different! a sports anime with a coed sports team!” but then like....the girls have never really gotten that fleshed out, and they’ve never really contributed to the plot or provided a perspective on events that the boys don’t have or ANYTHING? Like, even if the boys and girls didn’t really mix that much, it would still be possible to have the girls be interesting characters but we totally haven’t gotten that so far. :( Like, I’m always all in favor of having more female characters in things but honestly if they only wanted to do a story about a group of boys, they should have just stuck with the group of boys, and then maybe like....the fraction of screentime that the girls get could have been used to develop the boys a little more? idk 🤷‍♀️

LAITO:

My first exposure to dialovers was the anime so my first impression towards Laito was like “oh, he’s the flirty one - oh shit he’s banging her in a church, you cant do that, thats nuts lol” but as I got more into the games, Laito became SO IMPORTANT TO ME??? especially like his relationships, w/ ALL the characters like his brothers and yui and the other families and everything! I especially love learning more about his relationship with Ayato and Kanato because it’s so dang complex. His feelings towards his triplet bros is really complicated because he loves them and you know he loves them but his trauma w/ his mom sort of fucks it all up so he’s got like this genuinely nice and kind and loving personality fighting against this trauma and warped view of the concepts of love and family that Cordelia gave him, and what you get is, “I love my family and I hope they die” and throughout the games u learn more about the reasons why he has those world views and it’s SO GOOD Laito is such a well thought-out character!?! As a writer Laito delights me but as a fan, his whole deal makes me so dang sad djhfghjdkdfd

That’s why I was so fucking satisfied w/ Laito in the Laito vs Shin cd because you got a bunch of the darker stuff surrounding him (his tendency to push people off of buildings, that FUCKING VOICE DROP he does when he’s genuinely mad) and Laito was like...he was SCARY. And he was scaring YUI and he was scaring HIMSELF, too, which made me so sad!! Laito was like crying and punching walls and being like “why am I acting like this??” and it fuckin broke my heart dude. He’s a genuinely good person, he’s so wonderful, but he’s recovering from some really really nasty stuff. So that cd really gave me a sense of like, “Man, Laito hates this just as much as I do.” It makes me want to...idk...it makes me want to give him more opportunities to be good. He really is good!!!

KANATO:

As for my first impression, I think Kanato turned me off right away because I could instantly recognize all the tropes they were gonna use when they were designing him. You can look at him and tell that he’s gonna be the ~yandere~ character (I hate using that word but u know what tropes I’m talking about). As soon as they showed him eating a bunch of sweets I was like “yep.” When they showed us his room full of wax dolls, I was like “uh huh, that seems about right.” And then he yelled a lot and tried to stab Yui for making him french toast or whatever and I was like “ok.........I’ll go start ayato’s route” u know??? just super not my type, and the Kanato vs Azusa cd was torture because Azusa’s so soft-spoken but Kanato’s always yelling at the top of his lungs. I had to keep messing with the volume and it bugged me.

I think I would like Kanato a lot more if he...had a...friend. I think rejet kinda realized that he needed one and they had that in mind when they were introducing Azusa, but that ended up being a pretty bad failure I think. Kanato doesn’t really get along with anyone and he’s pretty open about admitting that he doesn’t like anyone particularly well. I’m glad to see him starting to love Yui genuinely but...idk I feel like every other diaboy has another diaboy(s) that he gets along with really well and it’s always nice to see them acting friendly and even encouraging each other sometimes! Kanato doesn’t really have that kind of relationship with anyone. When Ayato tried to reach out and apologize in LE, Kanato was like “lol kill yourself” and I was actually so fuckin mad at him, I was like “boy if you don’t fix that attitude of yours-”..........I guess I just wish that he had more character development by this point. That scene really hurt.

RUKI:

Basically the WORST first impression ever...my first Ruki scene that I ever saw was when he broke the cat’s neck and I was so pissed. I was like “immediately fuck this guy” and he became my least favorite character right away. And on top of that he was really elitist and one of those jerk intellectuals “ohhh solve this puzzle or STAY OUT THERE IN THE COLD you big dumb idiot. im smart and you’re not” and I was like FUCK this guy, how does yuma put up with him with HIS backstory?

But I hella warmed up to him during MB, like especially during Reiji’s route where Ruki was like “...uh...okay” the whole time jhdghdj that shit was hilarious. Ruki started feeling really real. And I think that like...hm...like if Laito is a genuinely good person surrounded by bad influence, Ruki is the opposite - he’s a bad personality surrounded by good influence. Ruki’s a jerk and he’s been a jerk his whole life but he has these wonderful brothers who love him so much and this lovely angel Yui and he’s just got all these good people who look up to him and he has to be good. This little asshole kid who treated all his servants like shit is now cooking dinner for his three adoptive brothers every day and they love him so much and they love him so much. It’s so fucking satisfying. I love seeing him supporting his brothers even though it conflicts with his personality and his main drive, like letting Kou run away with Yui even though Kou couldn’t become Adam. Ruki’s most important thing in MB was making one of the Mukamis become Adam but he gave that up to let Kou be happy. That shit is so important. Ruki was such a fuckin turnaround for me, I hated him at first but now I love the hell out of him and what he represents for the Mukamis.

KOU:

Kou is great!! I think he’s affected lots of characters in really positive ways, and he’s been affected in positive ways by different characters and it’s really nice to see. For sure he’s still got that trauma from his past but I really appreciate that Kou is in an environment that doesn’t have a lot of reminders of the bad stuff from his childhood. Like, how Kou was sought after for being such a beautiful child, and how he was trapped in a dark place for such a long time. There’s none of that shit when he lives with the Mukamis. Rejet could’ve easily put in tons of haunting reminders about Kou’s whole “too beautiful for his own good” thing but whenever he gets complimented, it’s usually for something different. Azusa will talk about how talented and amazing he is, and Kino’ll be like “idol clothes are pretty nuts huh? lol” and Ruki will be like “you’re working properly after all” and I fuckin love that shit...They could’ve made it so dang hard for Kou, but no, he’s in a much happier place now. He’s nice and comfortable being with these people. That makes me feel relieved lol

I already talked about how he helped Ruki but I think the most important relationship with a diaboy that he has is SUBARUUUUU cuz like, when you look at Subaru’s route you’re like “oh he definitely needs a friend, I’m glad he has a gf but he was so dang lonely and self-deprecating that he DEFINITELY just needs a genuine good friend” and then Kou showed up and he was like “guess what subaru? we’re gonna be friends, I’ve decided” and subaru was like “???” and MB happened and by the end of it Subaru was like “I took everything you said really seriously and I do want to be friends with you..............im not gonna say it out loud tho. let’s just shake hands ok” and I was like AW HECK YEAH!!!!! And then you keep seeing nice little reminders that they’re friends in other games, like in either LP or VC (Im sorry I literally cannot tell these two games apart) they were picking out hair accessories together for Yui, and in the Subaru vs Kou cd, Kou asks Subaru at the end if he had fun, and in LE Kou gave Subaru that pep talk and made Subaru laugh, and Subaru was like “Kou if I’m gonna die then I want you to kill me” and Kou was like “But I don’t want you to die!” and Subaru was like “you dont??? you actually care? about ME???” ITS SO FUCKING GOOD DUDE Subaru needed Kou so badly. Thank god for Kou honestly

KINO:

It was weird like...I was so mad at him during certain routes but I could never actually dislike him. It’s because he’s so dang funny tbh. He literally killed some of my favorite characters but then he would say a funny line and I’d be like “haha, I’m glad kino is here!” like it’s almost scary how charismatic he is towards both the other characters and to me, the player. He asked nicely if he could kill Shu and Shu was like “ok, sure.” Kino is hands down my fav villain because of this. Especially because you can really tell that deep down he wants to be a real member of the Sakamaki family and like he genuinely wants to be friends with people like Yuma and Kou, and he’s got the whole villain-turned-awkward-family-member trope which I LOVE. Like especially in that drama cd where he was like “I never get to go to school so I want to do home ec with you guys! Let’s make donuts!” and Kou was like “ok!!!” and kou tries to be super positive and encouraging the whole time even though Kino was actually secretly plotting to blow the place up. Kino looks like an idiot but he’s a genius tbh

and and and and and and I want him to kiss yuri. I think yuri is super in love w/ kino too, despite the fact that he’s. annoying. thats all I got dhgfdjskj...I love the childhood-friends-to-lovers trope so fuckin much

CARLA:

I was really mad at him for his actions in DF mostly ^^; And tbh it’s really hypocritical because it was a group effort between both of the Tsukinamis, but I ended up loving Shin and hating Carla. Kino also did similar bad stuff to Carla, but I ended up loving him while hating Carla. So, why?

Well here’s fuckin why. Shin and Kino are cute & funny. They have their nice little payoff moments - maybe Shin hurt one of my favorite characters, but then you get to see how bubbly and energetic he gets around his big brother. He was walking one of his wolves around christmas time while wearing a red jacket and a random kid approached him thinking he was santa claus. That’s adorable! For a long time, Carla didn’t have anything like that. And he was a jerk to absolutely everyone, including Shin, who was so dang devoted to him!! Like remember in the DF cds where he was like “hey shin, the plan is we suck her blood until she’s purified from the vampires” and shins like “ok nii-san got it” and he started sucking her blood, exactly like he was ordered to, and then carla came in and STABBED HIM and was like “hey dont touch my property” like SERIOUSLY WHAT THE FUCK CARLA U TOLD HIM TO DO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! IT WAS THE PLAN

And he fucked Ayato up real bad in DF so I was so mad...;; I only recently started forgiving him once diatwitter and LE started up. Diatwitter let us see his cute old grandpa side where he fuckin wanders around amusement parks by himself like some kind of cryptid and kou keeps being like “wait was that carla? what the heck??” and LE gave us some pretty nice stuff like carla being like “ur definitely my brother, shin” so...carla is ok I guess...but then again LE also gave us some bad carla moments like “if ur not actually a founder then u lied to me and im gonna kill u” so basically uh?? carla’s just a jerk I think. I’m warming up to him at a snail’s pace but he’s still a jerk. sucks about the endzeit tho, I hope he’s like permanently ok now

Me.trocon 2017 Day 1

This is a diary for future me bc i like to keep my important memories preserved to read abt later n stuff! uh.. feel free to read if ya want i guess or ignore but it’s just me in-depth talkin abt what i did today n what happened to me, negative n positive! [peace sign] Cosplayed: Tsuka.sa Suou in his summer uniform

okay so i got mcdonalds for brunch at like 1 after i left my house and dad dropped me off to go get registered and all and after leaving registration to go get myself a Schedule, someone stopped me and said “oh my god can i take a pic of you?!” and i was so surprised that someone recognized who i was but i said sureso they pulled out their phone and they had a ku.ro k/iryu phonecase and i was like “!! KURO !!” and i talked w them (they were cosplaying the human lady from the ma.id dragon anime) and they had sooo many en.stars charms on their phone and i was like “oh my god you’re into en.stars” and i asked if they were doing okay in the event and they said their cards were too weak and that they only had 1 five star and i was like dude that sucks! but i had to rush to the UT panel so i said bye to them and they said they were gonna be shinkai on sunday so i’m looking forward to that!

so i went to the UT panel and things were kinda annoying bc some alt. au sans kept asking lots of questions and making commentary tly loudly and sometimes answering questions like they were part of the panel?? i think even the panelists were kinda annoyed of her... and she’d be like “aww un.dyne u didnt do my dare [mutter] but u did theirs!!” but i dont hav much to say abt this panel tbh

so i went to the bl.ack but/ler panel and apparently the original panelists didnt come so a group of bl.ack butler cosplayers (a ciel, seb, alois, and grell) along w two random girls and a Shiro ran the panel but usually the audience was talking over them bc everyone was kind of joking around and thngs were more chatoic and casual than a normal panel but i talked to the pidge abt random stuff and we talked abt their wig (which they took off bc it was itchy lol) and how we both didnt sleep much last night and we kinda became friends n talked a bit

and then i left the BB panel and had a LOT of freetime so i walked around the dealers room/artist alley (mostly in search of ES merch) and i found a rei cosplayer and i was like “wow i like your UNDEAD itabag- wait ur cosplaying rei arent you?” and they were like “yea, casual rei haha” and i was like “HOLY FUC can i take ur pic......” and we talked abt en.stars for a sec n i was like “im cosplayin tsukasa!” n they were like “i See that” and i told them i was on the hunt for ES merch and they pointed me in the direction of the other side of the dealers room and said there was an idol table that had a box/boxes full of ES merch and the table was blaring idol music so it was Noticable and i was like “HOLY SHIT im gonna go get some charms thnk u” and had i not noticed that the rei n their friend seemed to be semi-busy i probably wouldve tried to talk abt ES w them for a while aa...

SO ANYWAY i found the idol table and there were 3 lil boxes of ES charms/buttons/etc and a box of i/7 charms/buttons/etc so i looked thru them and ALL THE STUFF WAS SO CUTE KRHNRGHB... but it took me abt an hour to look thru everything and pick out a natsume keychain and a mika christmas keychain but while i was there i was like.. bouncing to the loud idol music (they didnt play en.stars music but there was id.olmaster music i think and LL music) and the girl from earlier that took my pic (erin is her name i believe) and her friend and their other friend (?) who was umi came up to me and said hi again and looked at the charms (erin said she got a shu button and a lot of kuro merch tho, and she spent most of her money for the day lol) and i talked to them abt the things in the boxes and en.stars like which boys we liked or not (erin said she found ritsu annoying bc i showed her a ritsu keychain) and i gave erin and her friend lollipops and eventually left (the booth had 3 ES plushies and the 1st ES artbook w the cgs and va comments in it btw but i didt get those) and im debating going back to that table for a chiaki item or midori item.. maybe bc im tryna save up for a pillow or plushie i rly want

so i went back downstairs and saw the ann i first spotted near registration when i got inand i was like “oh!” but i sat down near them bc playing ES and putting my charms on my bag was more important and a lance asked me if i was yuki from tsu.ritama and i was like “nope! En.semble stars” and the shiro was like “OHH!!” and i asked the shiro n matt (they looked like matt but it might hav been a different character) if they were into en.stars and they said no sbut the matt said “all i kno is that eichi is Bad” and i was like “KJRGNRB YEA.. HES EVIL HES BAD YANNO THAT ;BABY BOY. EVIL.’ MEME? HES THE EVIL PART” and the lance kept laughing and i was like “he messed w ppl and kinda maybe emotionally abused someone hes No Good >:0″ but i told em that en.stars has a translation n stuff and then a serena helped me put my natsume on my bag

and before i left i wanted a pic of the ann and akira but then i noticed there was a Makoto so i wanted to take their pic but after i did the makoto was like “YOURE COSPLAYING FROM EN.STARS ARENT YOU...” n i said yes and they squealed and said they were into ES and i hugged them and they showed me their mao itabag and apparently the ann and akira were into ES as well so we all laughed abt ES and i learned that makoto hates rei bc i said reis one of my best boys n makoto’s friend said she liked rei too and makoto groaned and i said “he’s hot!” and maggie (the friend) was like “yea!” and akira’s fav waskeito n he was like “i’d hug him. i’d kiss him. i’d spicy w him” and they were like “THOSE R GOOD UR VALID” when i said chiaki n ryu.seitai were my favs but apparently they had friends who loved chiaki too bc the akira mentioned it and we all laughed for a sec and makoto and akira said they were gonna be the tori n eichi at the en.stars panel on satudrday and i screeched and ann called over a DAN!akira she spotted (i took a pic of him earlier) and so he joined our lil hangout group and we all spotted a Joker akira so ann was like “...if i yell ‘akira’ ya think hell come over here” so i was like “let’s all yell it on 3″ so ann, DAN akira and i all yelled “AKIRA!!!” in unison and he came over and took some pics w the others n took a pic of me and i took a pic of him then he left but the DAN akira stayed and i gav makoto, ann, and DAN akira lollipops and we all hung out and ann and the umi from earlier (who was apparently their friend) danced to LL songs bc ann started dancing to em for us and before that the akira and makoto left and eventually the akira left until it was just ann, umi, and i w them dancing and i spotted my irl friend lynds so i said hi bc she was playing cards w her friendgroup then i said goodbye to ann and umi bc i wanted to find the wataru they mentioned they saw (erin mentioned it earlier too)

and so i walked around 4 a minute b4 the next UT panel and didnt find the wataru but oh well so i went to the 2nd UT panel and it was still p boring and the annoying chick from earlier was still there and some girl behind me was loud n had a handclapper toy they kept using and i hated it but w/e so after i left that, i wandered around a bit and eventually went to the phantomhive ball and mad.ame red (who was an ichigo earlier in the day who helped the ppl do improv for the BB panel for a sec b4 they had to leave) saw me and we kept talking and i was like “is this.. an actual ball or a Panel” and they said a ball so i was like “oh god” but they were rly sweet to me and tightened my tie and we talked abt our previous cons and who we’re gonna cosplay tomorrow and i also talked w their un.dertaker until the doors to the panel opened but un.dertaker n stood in the corner n i didnt wanna slowdance so i called dad to pick me up, wandered around the con n played ES, then left at like 10 pm!
