me when I am so sad about having to shave my hair down because of the roadtrip we're going on (will not be able to keep it clean properly if it's the length it is now and I don't feel like wrestling with the scissors to try to cut it into a manageable mid-length) but then I think about Guz being so niceys about it and somehow that comforts me so much dshgjkl

successfully hacked my 3DS but for all my worries about accidentally bricking the damn thing by some egregious software fuckup it turns out I should have worried about the hardware instead because my circle pad broke
#this is my Old old 3ds that I bought used like eight years ago and spent the last four years in my parents' garage#so I'm not exactly surprised. some plastic piece got brittle as fuck and cracked#now I gotta find a local repair guy who does handheld console repair bc I'll mess around with software but hardware is a hard no for me

#spent all day helping my best friend move into her new flat#and it was really lovely to be able to be there for her and help her unpack and set everything up#bc her bf (one of my other flatmates) is going travelling for a couple of years in march so obvs he's moving out and they're breaking up#which is why SHE had to move out bc she couldn't afford the rent on a double room by herself#and she's only just moved down the hill like literally a five minute walk which is obviously amazing#she's not ages away yk#and she's moved in with our mutual friend which is nice too#but on a selfish note now i'm left behind in a flat with four 20 year old couples#and i'm now the outside friend like i'm the one who has to go home yk rather than being the one in the home#and i'm just dreading being alone so much of the time like cooking dinner alone and coming home from work and being alone etc#and i'm worried as well that in the new flat they'll get really close and i'll be like forgotten about and left behind#and i know this is all catastrophising and mind reading and all those therapy phrases#but it just sucks. it really sucks#i had to walk home in the rain just now up the hill at half 12 at night#and i cried the whole way because it just all sucks so bad#i knoooooow obviously there's worse problems in the world there's people that are dying kim etc etc#but i'm just very sad about it right now. very very sad about it#so it's 1am and i'm going to sleep and i will wake up at 4am for the match and arsenal better fucking pull through for me#goodnight love u all sleep well appreciate the people in ur life x#also i mean two 20 year old couples lol i don't have eight flatmates

fell asleep at my desk (!) while in blender working on the poses i need for the edits i want to do for matthias and imani... think i might be a little too absorbed in this edit idea lads
#river dipping#stayed up all night and fell asleep in the world's most uncomfortable position for WHAT? imaginary guys in my head. pixels on my screen.#the last thing i did before falling asleep was draft a post abt how it was six am and i'd only just finished the second set of poses lmaooo#well.......... because i feel bad i didn't manage to finish doing everything i wanted all in one day i'll make up for this#by instead posting the bloody matthias pics bc i did finish that a while ago but was so focused on cas and blender i didn't post them#...also i just noticed i have messages and stuff too i'm sawrryyyy i can't even blame the avpd this time#like the delayed response is just bc i'm being flayed alive by Creative Visions while my ocs point and laugh it's embarazzing#a two sim pose ended up turning into four sims + an alt version somehow........#it sounds crazy how long this has taken me but i had to make two children then two 15-16 year olds then two 18-19 year olds in cas#and i had to fix some cc so i could use it on the kids and the teens#and then i spent at least an hour or two downloading cc for their boarding school#and i needed to find a car imani could use for the last pose that has a decent sized window in the back#like i've been all over the place !!!!!! it's like i'm possessed i have such a clear vision of these three images in my head#like i just have to see it through. the lack of sleep is definitely getting to me tho................ i should probably lay down fr soon#my brain is a prison etc. etc. etc.#i'll play catch up before i go to sleep tho bc i really have been offline all day toiling over ideas

#i can do the math okay#i just can't remember any of the gosh darn formulas#ive spent hours and hours doing practice problems but Nothing Is Sticking#im shaking and can't tell if it's nerves caffeine or sleep deprivation#life is great :)#i need a week long break and finals haven't even STARTED yet#i have been over almost every slide and worked out every single in class example#but i still know just as much as i did when i started#which is terrifyingly little#at least i got mid 80s on my matsci and physics exams at least i got that going for me#even if i am about to bomb the second calc exam in a row#got a 64 on the last one which was like two points above the class average but still#not up to the impossible standards i set for myself so i spent like two hours crying while watching various random youtube compilations#the a's and b's without studying in high school to struggling college student pipeline is hitting HARD#im studying engineering bc i thought it was interesting and cool and it is but i am just Terrible at it#but im too stubborn to quit so it is going to be a rough four years

I found my literature notebook from two years ago and as I was flipping through it, I found a creative writing assignment that was basically “Come up with characters that could plausibly exist in this universe and write a short snippet about them”
And I got this feeling that I knew exactly what 14yo me did with that assignment
So I quickly scanned through the text and yep, I put Suiren and Midori into it. Because of course I did. This was May 2021. Red Lotus week. Peak obsession hours. I was cringe but I was free.
#or: it took nia four months to read the northern lights by philip pullman and she hated every word of it#so when the opportunity arose to insert her current hyperfixation and spice up the dullness they took it in a heartbeat#if you flip back a few pages you’ll also find that when the class had to keep a reading journal#(which nia didn’t do properly. because nia didn’t read the book by assigned chapters for homework#instead nia read four chapters. couldn’t stomach anymore more. faked it till she made it on quizzes and tests#and then sped read the other twenty something chapters over spring break#bc she was told the final year literature test would be on it#only for said test to turn out to be a fucking kahoot game#which she won. by the way)#and instead of writing out my thoughts about the chapters nia spent a page and a half comparing lyra to korra#how did I not fail that fucking class#good god#the student teacher who did practice at our school led that class though and she was a lesbian and I loved her so much#only good thing about literature that year#okay rant over I still have to put all these notebooks away#and it’s 2 a.m#lmao

#delete later#did a good compromise today. my therapist will be proud. only minorly panicky now#and have been making my chainmail things and it makes me very happy#have started designing the arm bracers abd bought fabric glue for the material ill be using#probs gonna make it velcrow abd add decorative buckles so dont have to worry about flaps of material#have the shape sorted and am gonna experiment with foam and stuff#have a good idea pf how to attach thr chainmail to it. just how to make it all stiff enough that it keeps its shape#ive been using cardboard for a lot of things but i dont like using it for wearable stuff bc i worry about washing things#im a messy person i need to be able to wash things without it falling apart#i have a yoga mat that might be good. i would just need to figure oit how to set it in a certain position#i have a tube i can dry it over. it might be a douse in pva and dry over cellophaned tube sorta deal#the cape is going well. hood is finished. cloak itself needs to be sewed around tge bottom and the front edge hemmed#thrn its just attaching thrm and decorating#i have fake autumn leaves abd acorns and i want to sculpt some shelf mushrooms out of my super light clay#but idk if thats overkill. i mean its my costune so that doesbt matter i guess. im very proud of myself on this project and i love it#and i even nabaged to do sone work roday despite only being able to think about chainmail#legit spent entire morning making the main piece. needs lengthening but its looking good abd solid#OH ALSO I FUCKING CALLED THE DENTISTS. i havent been in four years bc of anxiety abd TODAY I CALLED A PLACE#REGISTERED THERE AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR NEXT WEEK#i did SO WELL TODAY
