Pm oc time

This is Ms. Fortune

In the original script for pm 1 a group of witches visit the bodega bay and then a killing spree ensues. I consider that a thing that happened before andre came into the picture. Ms. Fortune belonged to one of the witches and is powered by an unknown spell.

After her master was murdered she was left in what would later be andre's room. She slept for a majority of the years before andre got there.

Andre found her and decided to keep her (for a very long time she was also stuck in the walls)

Her weapon is a Venetian hand fan with built-in retractable spikes (although she rarely uses it)

Based on Venice carnival costumes (specifically bauta)

I don't have much for her YET but I hope y'all like her anyway ❤️❤️

... So, I went hat shopping today...

Picked up a middling 'pirate' hat for my Bauta costume, which you see here. You may also notice the enlarged eye holes in the mask. Both the hat and the mask need more work (maybe a lot), and I should really have some kind of black veil as well. But, as far as my kind of costuming seems to go, this is pretty simple, so far.

....Also got a different hat, for a different costume / joke, which will be revealed in time....

I’ve been looking a bit into the whole bauta mask/costume and honestly, the very idea of it is so fascinating, and the fact that this was actually real is just really cool to me; I would love to see more about it

I feel like we need some media (preferably a video game since I got here from Layton) where there’s a town where nearly everybody is in this outfit, and you can’t tell who’s who and everyone looks like a ghost of some kind, while the whole place just has this eerie atmosphere

If we ever get another Layton game, I would love to have the setting of that game be a place like this, with the cast wondering why everyone wears costumes like this and what this town has to hide, all the while Layton (and perhaps anyone else from the prequels if they’re there) is being constantly reminded of Descole, since the outfits look awfully similar to his (as they seem to be what it’s based on)

I dunno, I just think the bauta is a really cool concept and it should be used more. I mean you can literally have a mysterious town where everybody dresses like they’re in a carnival, why wouldn’t you use it?

Just got invited to Prince Prospero's party at his castellated abbey!

... OK, yes, I bought a Bauta mask. Turns out to be thick, injection molded plastic, not that papaer-thin vac-formed stuff or papier mache. Pleased with that. Does need some sanding and trimming. The real test will be if I can pad this to sit far enough away from my face so I can wear glasses under it. If so, I could wear this thing out and about. If not, then it's just for photos.

Been debating redesigning Ettore this year. There are parts I love about his design, and I have yet to reveal his backstory + mask. It'll still be the same, but I'm thinking of changing him visually just a lil bit.

Kind of want to match these vibes, honestly

#this red and black bauta getup...i've saved so many pics cause it gave me huge inspiration #it was initially going to inspire a design for a new oc but #i might use it for a redesign of ettore #and i will finally draw + reveal his mask #and how he's come to work for deacon #i also wanted to do a mini project of ettore discussing the clockwork's views of the elites #i have it written out but i still kind of wanna draw it. still torn over how i wanna do it #able's design is a bit more drawing friendly although his hat bothers me but that'll be fixed with his promotion designs #i do love ettore's complicated side hanging hat thing. armada clockwork + roses??? i love him.#but i think his design is a bit too unnecessary in places and although i'd love to slap a bunch of belts on him still #i want to find a better execution #blah blah blah blah im scared of having more than 2 ocs cause i struggle doing oc work #i just never feel like i have the time
