The Penguins Comforting Reader's Insecurities
Arkhamverse Penguin:
- Oswald understands all too well how you feel…
- He wishes he can just get rid of those thoughts for you.
- Oz mostly uses actions rather than words to try and reassure you.
- He will spoil you with clothes that he knows will compliment your body.
- Oz will wrap his arms around you or squeeze you.
- He will solidify his actions with words if he can tell you’re still not convinced.
Reevesverse/Farrell Penguin:
- Needless to say, this Oswald compliments you…basically daily.
- He does everything he can to put your insecurities at bay.
- Oz will fill your ears with sweet honeyed words about how much he loves to touch and hold your plump skin.
- He will tell you how your chest is his favorite pillow to nestle into.
- As his words get sweeter, his grip around you gets tighter and he pulls himself closer to you to kiss you.
- Just the warmth and sincerity in his voice may just be enough to make you convinced.
Gotham Penguin:
- Oswald hears you out, and it hurts him to hear how you feel about yourself.
- He instantly wants to know if there’s anyone in particular that said something rude or judgemental to you.
- However, even Oswald himself doesn’t know how to take care of an enemy when it’s their own person.
- Oz will want your full attention when he tells you that he wouldn’t change a thing about you.
- A king always knows what he wants, and he only ever wants the best.
BTAS Penguin:
- Oswald wishes he could find the words that could cease your insecurities for good.
- The way he compliments you is like something straight out of a poetry book or romance novel.
- He holds your hands and squeezes them reassuringly before kissing them, just adoring you the only way he knows how.
- He will spend the whole day with you, never letting you out of his sight.
- Oswald assures you that you're just the perfect beautiful dove and that you two were always meant for each other, no matter what others say or feel.
- Pretty soon, your feelings will slowly be replaced with love and contentment.
Telltale Penguin:
- Ozzie's first instinct is to go fists to cuffs with whoever said anything to you or made you feel that way.
- However, when he realizes it's just your mind…he can't help but understand somewhat.
- He knows what it's like when your mind goes out of it's way to make you feel like shit.
- Oz isn't always the most physical when it comes to affection, but in these circumstances, he pulls out all the stops.
- He rests and nestles his head on your thighs or chests, where else would he rest his weary head if you weren't generously chubby there.
- You shouldn't have to worry about your height, he's got all the height you'll ever need.
- And you'll always be the only person he will ever need.
One Bad Day Penguin:
- Oswald can tell you’re feeling insecure by just how hesitant you become.
- You don’t want to go out sporting a new dress, you don’t want to embarrass Oz, or see people judging you.
- Ozzie racks his brain trying to find a way to make you see what he sees.
- He begins flirting with you, teasingly so, not too far off from how he actually first approached you when you first met.
- You can't ignore the butterflies in your stomach or the soft smile stretching across your lips.
- Out of all the beautiful people that were in and out of the Iceberg Lounge…he only had eyes for you.
The Batman (2004) Penguin:
- Ozzie's first remedy for your insecurities is to make you laugh.
- He’ll make fun of conventionally attractive people and/or skinny people (totally not also because he has a grudge against them)
- They aren't as fun as you are, they aren't as amazingly beautiful inside and out as you…
- Before either of you realize it, he somehow goes from joking to sincere-
- He just wanted to see you smile and happy again, but he means everything he says.
- Ozzie wishes he can more, but he always hopes that his words are enough (they are)
Batman Unlimited Penguin:
- Oswald is hesitant and unsure what to do despite desperately wanting to help…
- How does he reassure someone of something he often struggles with that's only left him bitter and resentful.
- It breaks his heart to hear how you dislike your physique.
- He tries to deter them with his own words, how lucky he feels to have you…(especially…given his own appearance and age…)
- Not to make it about him but as a means to let you know he can understand and relate…
- But he has been able to be more secure in himself because someone as beautiful as you loves him for who he is and what he looks like inside and out.
- And he hopes to return the sentiment tenfold with his words and undying devotion to you.

- Oswald slouched further into the chair or loveseat he was sitting in.
- He leisurely takes a drag off his cigar as he watches you intently.
- His grin grows wider as you slowly and sensually remove each article of clothing.
- You strutted your way towards where he sat, eyelids heavy.
- A small trail of clothes laid behind you in your wake.
- Oz spread his legs further apart, to allow you more room to get between them.

Reevesverse/Farrell Penguin:
- Oswald loves it when you surprise him like this.
- It’s the best way for him to distress after a long day of hustling.
- His hands are constantly gripping his knees, wishing he was gripping you instead.
- He’d like to consider him somewhat of a patient man, and as much as he loves a good tease.
- You’re driving him absolutely mad with how slow you’re squirming out of your outfit you wore tonight.
- He tries to encourage you to pick up the pace by buttering you up with compliments with his deep honey-ed voice.

Gotham Penguin:
- Oswald suddenly feels like he’s wearing much too many layers.
- He’s constantly pulling on the collar of his shirt and his bow tie.
- He can’t catch his breath–despite running cold, he feels himself breaking into a sweat.
- Oswald can’t even defend himself when you giggle about how flustered he looks.
- Like a fish out of water gasping for air, his eyes as wide as entree saucers.
- The faintest red dusting along his pale cheeks.
- Oswald’s breath hitches with every drop of clothing and every step you take closer to him.
- Even as you get on your hands and knees and crawl right up between his legs.
- Oswald has a white-knuckled grip on the arms of his chair–his whole body rigid and stiff–
- But that’s not the only thing.

- Oswald is…surprised to say the least.
- Not that he isn’t appreciative or doesn’t enjoy it–
- He’s just…not used to this sort of…exchange? This type of intimate surprise.

- That is how he sees it too.
- It’s not just a simple strip tease, especially not to him and especially when it comes to you.

- Like Arkham and Farrell Penguin, he’s definitely enjoying himself.
- Even though this isn’t the first time you’ve done this (and definitely won’t be the last), you still manage to drive him wild.
- You make his blood run hot and his heart skip a beat like a school boy and he can’t get enough of it.
- Oz can never get enough of you.
- However, he never tries to rush it, no matter how much he wants to.
- He knows better than anyone that good things come to those who wait.
- And he adores nothing more than this sensual build up to another extraordinary night of passion with you.
The Batman (2004) Penguin:
- Wolf whistling, tongue hanging out, howling–the whole gag.
- The Penguin honestly turns into a full on dog for several minutes.
- Ozzie is adorning a large wide grin that could rival the Joker’s.
- He is absolutely here for all of this.
- He loves it when you treat him to these delectable little shows.
- Ozzie is much worse than Telltale Penguin in terms of keeping him at bay.
- Many of your other strip teases have ended abruptly as soon as you reveal the right amount of skin.

- Oswald..is a nervous wreck.
- To say Oswald is a mess when you start stripping is…an understatement.

Reader Embarrassing The Penguins:
Arkhamverse Penguin:
- Oswald was bending his men’s ears so far back, they might as well have fallen off.
- Nightwing apparently ruined their trip to the docks to retrieve a shipment of weapons.
- Veins along Oswald’s neck and hands were popping.
- "Hey Ozzie wozzie! I was just wanting– oh! So sorry I didn't know you were having a meeting!
- Oz's face instantly went white as a sheet as all the blood and heat from his anger was drained.
- He looked over his shoulder, a slight shaky smile on his face. "Uhh yeah..its all right, love. I'll be with you in a minute, yeah?"
- You nodded beaming happily as you closed the door.
- Some hushed snickers could be heard from his men
- Only for them to be silenced by a slamming fist to the table.
- "I better not hear a peep out of any of you about that…or else you're all gonna be lunch to the Croc! Now…back to business."
Reevesverse/Farrell Penguin:
- I am not entirely sure why, but I can imagine this Oz likes beating you to the punch?
- He knows how you normally greet him, especially when you usually assume he’s alone.
- So as a countermeasure if he’s in a meeting or is talking to security, he beats you to the pet names.
- “Yes, sweetheart?” “What’s going on, sugar?”
- However, that doesn’t always stop you from throwing in a “pengy baby”, “my handsome penguin”, and of course a personal favorite; “daddy”.
- Oz may scratch the back of his neck nervously, but chuckle all the same.
- It can be somewhat embarrassing but he adores you too much for it to get to him.
- Nobody better ridicule you or himself when you do it, or there will be hell to pay.
- He also doesn’t care if his men get annoyed, they just better keep it to themselves.
Gotham Penguin:
- Okay, but no seriously…could you not?
- It’s hard enough as it is to appear intimidating and go by “The Penguin”.
- He knows you mean well, you don't really think twice about his reputation…
- You just see your sweet, endearing, and loving Oswald.
- Oswald would be having a meeting with his people at the long dining table. With Butch standing at his side.
- You come in cheerfully to see Oz, without even noticing he's in company.
- "Hey Ozzie!"
- Silence fills the room, a pin could be heard.
- Oswald tried to remedy it by patting your hand and telling you he won't be long…
- You nod and lean in to kiss his cheek before running off.
- He shoots daggers to Butch who continues to chortle under his breath.

- He’s stuck between lovestruckness and slight embarrassment.
- Oswald doesn’t want you to stop, but knows he probably needs you too.
- He does have somewhat of a reputation to uphold in the criminal underworld.
- Oswald adores that you are so comfortable and adore him enough to bless him with a pet name.
- He won't be harsh or short with you, even if he's griping to his henchmen.
- It will literally be night and day the way he interacts with you and his henchmen.
- "You fools! If your absolute incompetence continues to hinder my schemes, I will-!"
- "Oswald? Where are you my handsome pengy?"
- The slightest snicker comes from one of his men and Oswald is quick to silence them with a terrifying stare.
- If they mention this incident to anyone, they will be bird food.
TNBA Penguin:
- Not that he doesn’t appreciate the sentiments…
- He just can’t exactly reciprocate them at the moment when he’s trying to take charge.
- There are moments he won't mind, like if he's entertaining guests at the Lounge.
- Oz would lavish in the adoration you're giving him, and it shows a different side to him.
- He's likely to tell you beforehand if he's discussing things with more…dangerous individuals.
- It's more or less to protect you, but also to ensure you don't let any pet names slip up.
- Whenever it does happen, he still keeps his cool meanwhile he's trying to hide his blush and not stammer his words.
Telltale Penguin:
- Why? You know how embarrassing this is for him!
- “Hey Ozzie wozzie, I was just wondering-”
- “No..no..don’t say another word.”
- You honestly revel in his exasperated head shakes and exhausted sighs.
- He won't ever admit it, but he does actually like it deep down.
- He likes the fact you're comfortable enough around him to tease and mess with him.
- The fact that you love him so much and in such a way that warrants you to give him stupid cute nicknames.
- Sometimes he's agitated whenever you do it in front of his crew.
- But his crew knows better not to mention it ever again after an incident.
One Bad Day Penguin:
- Oh boy…
- God it’s a good thing you’re cute, it makes you get away with…well everything.
- He’s wiping his face and pinching the bridge of his nose.
- It’s not like he can stop you.
- Oz does find it incredibly adorable.
- He can't help that his face may flush just slightly.
- Kinda like Farrell Penguin, he's also likely to dish it back to you with cutesy pet names.
- The only people allowed to tease him or mess with him about it are Lili and Freida.
The Batman (2004) Penguin:
- Ozzie groans as a cringey chill went down his spine.
- Really? "Ozzie wozzy??"
- And in front of his criminal peers in jail?
- You do realize he's got a reputation to protect, right?
- He's gone toe to toe with Batman, Joker, Riddler, and even had a rag-tag team of villains of his own!
- Oh but that…that doesn't stop you from doing it…
- It gets to a point that he doesn't even debate you or show his disdain for nicknames at least in public.
- He just becomes defensive whenever people tease him about your nicknames for him.
- "What're you laughing at? You're just jealous!"
Batman Unlimited Penguin:
- This Oswald takes a minute to respond.
- He’s still getting used to the foundations of a relationship…
- He completely disregarded the usage of pet names and when and where they’re appropriate to use.
- It takes awhile for Oswald to get used to your nicknames…but they make him feel absolutely elated.
- He may be embarrassed if you do it in front of others...
- But only for a moment...because embarrassment is quickly replaced with adoration.
- If anyone mocks him or you for your endearments he's swift to silence them.
- He's gone far too long with affection, far too long he's yearned to be addressed lovingly.
- Oswald would be damned if he let some random henchperson or passerby get in the way of that.

A/N: asdfggh this is so damn sweet and pure I had to wipe my eyes a couple times. Honestly, just about every pengy could fit into this (except for TellTale…asdfggh so I'm gonna skip him, and I think I'm gonna skip TNBA as well, I just felt like the scenarios were getting pretty repetitive lmao, I hope y'all don't mind!)
Reader Comforting the Penguins’ Insecurities
Arkhamverse Penguin:
He hated mirrors. As much as he tried to just shrug them off. Alas, he did need them, for another strenuous activity…getting dressed.
He tried and tried to shove it down. His long pointed nose, receding hair, glass wedged in his eye…his belly slightly hanging out from his pants.
Oz growled in frustration. He thought he was over this shit.
"Ozzie?"
The man jumped for a second, knocking himself out of his self loathing reverie.
"Bloody hell, you scared me love!" He chuckled.
You giggled. "I didn't mean to startle you.." You walked over to the vanity he was sitting at on the other side of your bedroom.
You leaned against the drawers and looked down at Oz with a soft smile. "Is everything all right Ozzie?"
Oswald gave a meek side smile and nodded. "Yeah I'm all right, love."
Not believing him, you slowly came up and hugged him from behind. You softly kissed the back of his neck to his head and looked back at him through the mirror.
"You're so handsome, you know that?" You turned your head and kissed his cheek. "Come on, let's go to bed."
The compliment took him by surprise, it really shouldn't have but it did. He'll never get used to how well you can read him without even realizing it. Nor just how much your words spoke louder and meant more than any cruel words his mind or his past repeated back to him.
Reevesverse/Farrell Penguin:
You were telling him a story, but he couldn't help but get lost in his reflection in a letter opener on his desk. Oswald's eyes traced the scar that disfigured his face.
Following that down to the real gut just below his chest.
Honestly, what did you see? He already knew this and he wanted to believe you but God…you deserved better.
"Oz? Ozzie?"
"Hm?"
"What's the matter?"
"Nah. It's nothing, sweetheart. Sorry I didn't mean to drift off…"
Little did he know, you noticed him glaring at his reflection on the blunt knife. You got up from your seat, you gently grabbed his hand and lowered the opener.
“You may be the best boss in Gotham, but you can’t fool me.” You framed the sides of his face with your hands. Oz chuckled, he really couldn’t fool you if he tried.
You leaned forward and gave him a kisses all along his scar as you gently caress the back of his head.
“You’ll always be the most handsomest man in Gotham too, especially to me, always. No matter what anyone says…even what you tell yourself!”
Oz couldn’t help but give you a small sideways smirk. He wrapped his arms around you so you were sitting in his lap, as he held you close.
He kissed your temple before he said, “I guess I can’t argue with you on that sweetheart.”
Gotham Penguin:
It took years for Oswald to learn to turn the jeers and cracks about his appearance into something empowering. Now, whenever people speak of the Penguin, it’s in a reverent tone, not someone to be taken lightly…
However there’s nothing to completely seize the nagging criticisms of one’s own self. Especially now, not only is he short in stature with a limp leg but a new plump stomach after a decade in Blackgate.
Whenever he hears people speaking about his appearance in a hushed tone, he’s quick to silence them with a stare that could kill, but he would be lying if he told himself it didn’t get under his skin.
You noticed at dinner he was particularly tense. His gloved hands clenching and un-clenching. You gulped a sip of your drink. This could be because of a number of things…Nygma, Gordon, this…bat person that’s recently been showing up…
“Oz…?”
He inhales and looks up to you giving you a tight smile, “yes, dear?”
“A penny for your thoughts?”
Oswald scoffed. “Oh, it’s nothing for you to worry about darling..”
“Oswald.” You got up from the other end of the dinner table and kneeled beside him.
His back straightened as you approached and spoke his full name. You stared longingly into his eyes, as if looking for the answers past his irises and into his mind.
“Okay, okay…I’m just…a bit annoyed of certain comments made about my…appearance.”
Your eyes widened, you didn’t expect that. You leaned up off your haunches, wrapped your arms around his neck and gave him a deep kiss.
“They could never measure up to the feats you’ve conquered and will conquer again. Let them say what they wish…they’re just pathetic low lives with no ambition than to be menaces.”
Oswald grabbed your hand and kissed the palm of it, as your other hand caressed his cheek.
“Besides,” you giggled. “You’ll always look handsome in my eyes, no matter what.”
Oz beamed proudly at that. You were right. Let them say what they wanted, with his wits and you by his side…he’ll be king again in no time.
BTAS Penguin:
Oswald thought surely with you by his side, these tiny materialistic frets that haunted him would subside. However, that wasn’t the case.
Oswald stared holes into his webbed hands. He glanced back up to the mirror to grimace at his pointed nose. Then he looked towards his rotund stomach that bumped into the table of the vanity.
Surely, you just pitied him. He’s gone so long without someone to love him…what makes him appealing now? What else could have drawn you to him other than feeling sorry for him.
You ran into the bedroom when you heard a loud crashing sound.
“Ozzie, are you-oh..what happened?”
Oswald sat at the vanity with his fist bleeding and shards of glass littered on the desk.
“Oh, um, uh…I-I-” Oz came out of hisl haze and witnessed the manifestation of his loathing. “-I-I don’t..”
You didn’t think twice as you ran out to grab the first aid kit in the bathroom and brought it back. You told him to hold still as you carefully removed some shards from his fist, before disinfecting and patching him up.
“Ozzie..what…”
“Why are you with me?”
You looked up at him and he had a solemn look on his face. He was serious, he was unsure.
“I-I love you, Oswald, that's why. You mean the world to-”
“But look at me!”
He sighed, exasperated.
You held his hands in yours, the hands you knew he was disgusted by. “I wouldn’t want anybody’s hands to hold mine. I wouldn’t want anyone else’s nose to kiss…” To validate that fact you gave the tip of his nose a sweet peck.
“I love you for you and who you are…”
Oswald gave you a small lopsided smile. “And I you, my dove…how foolish of me to think otherwise.”
You embraced him. “It’s okay, darling. I’ll always be here to remind you.”
One Bad Day Penguin:
He finally did it.
He got the Iceberg Lounge back.
So why, did he still feel so…hesitant…anxious.
Oswald looked himself over once more in his full length mirror. He straightened his hat again for probably the uptenth time.
Did…did he put on more weight since his absence? He did have to squeeze into this suit.
He jumped at the sound of his office door opening as it hit the wall.
“Oswald! Are you ready? Everyone’s waiting!” You were elated to have Oswald back and see him back where he belonged.
Yet, he didn’t look the same.
“I-uh-yeah…I’ll be out in a minute sweetness.”
You walked over behind him. You draped your arms across his chest and pulled him into an embrace.
“You okay, Ozzie?”
“I-yeah-I just…you know…image issues I guess. I don’t recall looking this rough…even when I lost everything.”
You smiled at him through the mirror. “You wanna know what I see?”
He chuckled. “Sure.”
“I see a man who stood up against all odds, not once, not twice, but throughout his entire life. And he did it all while throwing a name back into the faces of those that tried to drag him down with that same name.”
You gave him a peck on the cheek. “Not to mention doing it all while looking like the most ruggedly handsome man in Gotham.”
“You really think that of me, sweetness?”
“Of course, always have and always will. Now come on, your guests are waiting to welcome their beloved host back.”
You stepped away from him and held out your hand to him. Oswald looked up at you with newfound pride and confidently took your hand as you walked out of the office.
The Batman (2004) Penguin:
No matter how much Ozzie tried to talk himself into being an absolute catch…deep down he knew better.
He is a short, pudgy, penguin with bright spiky orange hair that was receding and sharp gremlin-like teeth. Oz wasn't any Bruce Wayne…just a…well…freak.
Most days he was able to not care, but everyone has their lows. The first thing that brings him down is his looks and just how little of a chance he actually had at the life he felt he deserved.
"Ozzie?!" You were shaking the man by the shoulder, trying to get his attention.
"Gah- W-what?" He asked, slightly disjointed from the present reality and the cold truth that plagued his mind constantly below the confident facade.
"Just wanted to let you know that supper is ready…are you okay?"
"Y-yeah.." he grumbled. "Just peachy.." Oz began waddling his way to the small dining table.
You looked down at him as he held his head low, a depressed look on his face. You immediately picked him up and had him properly face you.
"Hey! Hey! What's all this about? Lemme go!"
"Oswald…"
Oz immediately cringed when you used his full name and not the short nickname version.
"It's nothin…all right…just having a bad day is all…"
It all made sense, if it's not for Batman causing a bad day, it's usually his own insecurities. You gently lifted him up closer to your face. You gave him a kiss on his forehead and the tip of his nose.
"I'm sorry you're having a bad day, Ozzie…but know this, you're absolutely adorable to me…the most handsome man I know!" You rubbed your nose gently against his from side to side before placing him back on his feet.
Ozzie placed his hand on his nose and forehead. A small smile soon crept onto his face and turned into a grin. So what if he didn't look like that pretty boy Bruce Wayne, if you thought he was handsome that's all that mattered.
Batman Unlimited Penguin:
So much for aging with grace. Oswald doubted he had any to begin with. He was fairly certain his life had been hell since he spoke his first word.
Constantly through every waking moment, he was mocked, teased, bullied for something out of his control. What was the point of continuing to go through life as a decent person when all anyone ever saw you as was an…an animal. Unnatural. Horrendous.
The leering stares and hushed remarks got to him more than they usually did today. All he wanted was to come and see you, but he couldn’t catch a break it seemed.
Your wide bright smile did little to lift his spirits when you welcomed him into your home.
You could tell something was off, but you weren’t sure if you should press the matter or just try and make him forget about it.
“Oh! Oz you’re just in time! I was going to try out this new…”
He slumped on your catch, he stared into the floorboards as if studying the lines and cracks in it. Oz didn’t even notice you’ve stopped talking.
“Ozzie..”
“Oswald!”
Oz squawked in shock. “W-Wha-What?”
“What’s wrong, you seem…upset.” You went and sat next to him.
Oz shrugged. “It’s-It’s nothing…not anything I haven’t dealt with before.”
You hummed. “Perhaps…but you didn’t have me before…maybe I can help?” You offered a cute smile.
Oswald couldn’t help but mirror your sweet smile with one of his own. “It’s really nothing, my dear. It was just…a normal day of being…cruelly mocked by the public is all…”
He chuckled pathetically, “you’d think I would be used to it by now.”
“Oswald, nobody deserves to be harrassed like that! Especially about something beyond their control.”
You put your hands on his shoulders and squeezed them, reassuringly. “If someone has to beat you down to make themselves look bigger it’s because they think low of themselves. And if they wanna miss out on a dashing man like you, then that’s on them.”
You leaned in and gave him a loving kiss on his cheek.
Oswald relaxed instantly, smiling warmly back. He didn’t need any approval from anyone else, as long as he had you.

Honestly the best daddy, second to Farrell Penguin.

He has no problem letting people know that you’re his baby boy/girl/ or just baby.

He’s always ready to tend to you and take care of you again like before.

Ohhh ohhh boy.
Also one of the pengys that are definitely into it.
He’s definitely aware of the term, but never once imagined it being applied to him in a relationship.
But he is almost delirously into it.
The first time you called him “daddy” his grin was so wide and it never faltered for a moment.
Like Telltale, he’s looking for anything to prove his superiority (albeit consensually with his partner) after losing his family influence.
You calling him daddy is just the thing to get him going and to make himself feel bigger.

I feel like while this Oz pretends not to care about his age…
When it comes to your relationship, he’s very self-conscious about it.

It takes him a minute to notice, but he definitely…feels it?
There’s no mistaking that feeling of someone staring at you.
Not to mention, he’s so distracted by his business between the club and the arms dealing.
He’s always thankful to have you as a reprieve.
Oswald isn’t too surprised when he notices you’re the one staring a hole into him.
The sweet look on your face, it’s the first time he’s seen anyone look at him like that.
Like he’s a human, a person.
When your eyes make contact with him, you’re quick to look away and try to stare at something else.
He chuckles and asks if there was something you needed.
You shook your blushing red face. You whisper softly about him just being handsome.

The Penguins Reacting To Reader Squishing Their Faces
Arkhamverse Penguin:
Don’t get him wrong, he absolutely loves the adoration. Any touch of yours is a blessing to him. After being handed the cold, judgmental, harsh hand of reality for so long for someone the likes of him, he welcomes your touches and all they entail. Caresses, squishes, pats, massages, loves them all.
Maybe, just maybe, do it when he’s not having a meeting with his crew. He doesn’t care what anyone says, but it’s hard to take him seriously when you’re sitting next to him squishing his cheeks.
“Love, please…as much as I love it when you touch me…I’ve got business to tend do.”
Reevesverse/Farrell Penguin:
Okay, but good luck trying to squish his face, cause nine times out of ten he’s probably squishing yours. He loves to grab your face with his index finger and thumb pressing against your cheeks and drag you into a kiss. You face is so squished your lips are already puckered up and ready to be kissed upon.
Whenever you do manage to squish his face in between your hands, he’s beaming with happiness and adoration for you. He likes it when you run your thumbs just below his eyes, no doubt massaging some bags there that have developed. Just another sweet way you have of taking a little bit of the load off his shoulders.
You smiled down sweetly at him as you continue to rub your thumbs along his cheeks. Occasionally squeezing them.
“I swear sweetheart. I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve a touch as sweet as yours…” He grabs one of your hands and kisses the palm of it.
Gotham Penguin:
Wait, what? W-What…oh you’re, you’re squeezing his face now. Um why? Poor boy is mad confused, it is going to take sometime for him to warm up to the prospect. He just feels silly about it, like you’re treating him like a child.
However, he can’t deny he enjoys the way your eyes light up at the close proximity of your faces and how your hands ultimately warm his usually cooler face. It takes some time for him to get used to it, but once he does, every time you do it it makes his day infinitely better.
“I-I think I’m beginning to understand the appeal..” He muttered one morning, when you give him his daily cuteness aggression squishes. He will actively try and do it in return, and you’re over the moon when he does.
BTAS Penguin:
“Oh, oh, yes, dove?”
At first, he thinks you’re just trying to get his attention. When you tell him you just wanted to squish his face cause he was just too cute, he’s instantly blushing. He’s chuckling gleefully, as he holds your hands to his face so they can stay there longer.
He will never grow weary of how you show him your affections, it’s unlike anything he’s ever experienced before and you always manage to surprise him in the best ways. I can also see him coming up to you and grabbing your wrists and bringing your hands to his face. Instant stress relief your touch brings him.
“Mind if I borrow your touch, it’ll just be for a minute, my dove.” How could you not squish his face after that, once you do his small smile grows into a proud grin.
TNBA Penguin:
He chuckles, “well, what’s the cause of all this?” He puts one hand up to hold on of your hands cupping his cheeks.
“I can’t help it, Ozzie. You’re just so darn cute!” You squeal softly, squishing his cute face.
This Oswald is very keen on keeping a sophisticated…cool, calm, and collected image. However, he can’t even help absolutely melting at your admission for your sentimental gesture. He absolutely revels in your touch. Beaming proudly and hopelessly in love.
Another pengy that appreciates the devotion and affection but also…not while he’s busy. If he’s running around tending to his club or having another interrogation with Batman, may not be the best time. But best believe, he’d love nothing more than for your hands to be all over him later though. He’d also be glad to return the favor tenfold.
Telltale Penguin:
“Ugh, love, Y/N…really?”
This pengy is the epitome of “stop it, it’s annoying. I don't like it,” but he actually loves it and you know him well enough to know this. His eyebrows aren’t furrowed, he doesn’t have his usual annoyed scowl on his face (which you find kind of hot, but you don’t dare let him know, he wouldn’t let you live it down). He will roll his eyes and try to form a frown, but you notice the miniscule smirk.
He appreciates it even more when he comes back and you give him the same amount of attention when his face isn’t all that pretty. Running and fighting in underground boxing tournaments means he comes home with shiners and bruises to his face.
Just maybe don’t squeeze too hard.
“Ah-Ah, love, I-I appreciate the gesture, I do, but maybe wait until I’m healed up, yeah?”
One Bad Day Penguin:
Oswald’s chuckling, extremely pleased. “What’re you up to, sweetness?”
You giggled back, wrapping his face in your hands, adoringly. You started kissing his head, cheeks, nose, anywhere you could reach. Oz chuckled some more.
“What? Can’t I show my man how much I love ‘im?” You leaned your forehead against his. Your hands still periodically squeezing his skin.
Oswald lives for these moments. He never imagined in his lifetime he’d get the chance to be loved unconditionally. You still manage to surprise him with your gestures, words, and actions. Even after going through the thick and thin of it all, you were still there beside him. You were still his.
“Yeah, you can show him,” he softly chuckled. “You never seize to amaze me, doll.”
The Batman (2004):
Listen, listen…if it’d been ANYONE else…he would have their head.
When it’s you though…
You cup your hands around his cheeks, squish the cute cheek skin there. When you get so enthralled in your touches and kisses, you accidentally lift him up to your level. You’ve literally lifted him up from his feet. And he’s absolute putty in your hands. The redness of his face rivals the orange in his hair. He adores this, being absolutely suffocated in your love.
He isn’t ashamed to plop his head in your hands any chance they’re open and free, and you’re more than willing to give him what he wants. All the squishes, kisses, rubs, and everything in between.
Oz closes his eyes to fully envelope in your hold. “Mm…a guy can get used to this.”
Batman Unlimited:
He’s sort of confused. Taken aback. Not to sure how to react to your gesture.
You come up behind him and instantly frame his face with your hands. Not being able to resist the temptation to squeeze the adorable cheeks underneath your thumbs.
“Uh…w-what’s this about, darling?”
“Oh nothing, Ozzie. You just looked so cute, I couldn’t help it.” You giggled.
C-cute? You found him cute?
You two have been together for awhile, but it still surprises Oswald just how much you genuinely love him. You never ceased to amaze him, he knows who he is…what he looks like. He knows he’s not the easiest man in the world to love, but yet here you were. Squishing his face, kissing his head, telling him he was cute.
He took one of his hands and covered it over yours, as he leans into your touch. Oswald reaches out and cups one of your cheeks with his other hand.
“And you, my darling, are absolutely precious.”

A/N: continuing the "ignoring affection" series as I'm dubbing it in my brain, here's the Penguins, me wee colony!
Reader Ignores the Penguins' Affections
Arkhamverse Penguin:
Well, what's got you in a sour mood?
He's been over this with you before, he can't always turn business away!
Besides, he always makes up for it!
Right? He does, doesn't he?
He'll just roll his eyes and scoff but deep down he's actually pretty hurt.
He's all for teasing.
But this is pretty damn cruel of you, love.
To his men, he’s more agitated and on edge than normal.
With you, he’s solemn and quiet.
When you notice this you are quick to drop the act.
Oz can’t help but feel relieved when you hug his neck and kiss his cheek again.
Reevesverse/Farrell Penguin:
Ozzie is taken aback.
However, he’s quick to recover.
You two usually tease each other like this.
Seeing which one bends to their need for the other first.
Yet, you seem serious, steadfast. Not a fun air about it like usual.
He asks if something’s bothering you.
Ozzie isn’t convinced when you shrug him off.
When you two are alone next, he asks again.
As calm and tender as he can, despite being confused.
The way his face is soft before knotting up in confusion, breaks you.
It actually amuses him when you tell him you just wanted to see his reaction.
Gotham Penguin:
Oswald is going to immediately assume something’s wrong.
He’s instantly asking you, interrogating you with what could possibly damper your spirits.
He wants to know so he can snuff it out and have his adoring partner again.
Oz is dumbfounded when you shrug and say it’s nothing.
It couldn’t be nothing, it can’t be nothing.
Do you want him to get down on his knees and beg?
You know better than to challenge him…
Especially when you and him both know he’d do anything
ANYTHING for you.
Oswald is about to wince at the pressure of him bending when you stop him.
You shake your head, you hugged and kissed his head.
You apologize, it was a dare by Butch and you couldn’t say no.
Oswald scoffs, but is grateful to have your doting affection back.
BTAS Penguin:
Out of most of the pengys…
This one I HIGHLY suggest you don’t do this to.
Unlimited is a close second, but BTAS takes the cake to likely being hurt.
If you for some reason choose to do this, please don’t do it for long.
His face would fall, he will be confused…
Then his mind would start spiraling, spiraling about something he dreaded.
You’re no longer attracted to him, you just pitied him.
Now you’re tired of him, no longer looking forward to his hand kisses or warm embraces.
Even if you do aid him, tell him you were just messing around..
It may ease him, but it will take awhile to ease him long-term..
He will revert back to being unsure and cautious.
TNBA Penguin:
Oswald doesn’t think too much of it at first.
He understands being preoccupied with something.
When he gets a moment alone with you for a moment, he closes his eyes and puckers.
Nothing, but the faint breeze of you walking away from him.
Okay, something is definitely up.
He asks if something was troubling you.
You just shake your head, you’re fine, just busy, it’s nothing…
Excuses…excuses…
Oswald is adamant to get to the bottom of this.
However, when he chases after you, he sees you smiling as you softly laugh to yourself.
Ooohh, you absolute tease.
Be warned, two can play at this game.
Telltale Penguin:
Oz rolls his eyes, annoyed.
Fine, be that way then!
He doesn’t know what he said or did to piss you off.
But he thought you’d atleast be fair enough to atleast tell him.
Not just turn away from him anytime he tried to hold you or kiss you.
This is normal for when you were upset with him.
But he genuinely can’t think of what he did wrong.
Whenever this happened in the past, he made efforts to change where he could.
He felt he has, so what’s the big deal now?
Soon he hears you giggling. Something about how pouty he looked.
Oz groans, so you were just purely messing with him.
You’re really cruel you know that?
One Bad Day Penguin:
Ozzie is perplexed.
What’s gotten into you?
He tries not to let it get to him.
Carrying on with his other day by day duties.
But you still plagued his mind.
You were passing by the hallway and when he tried to wrap an arm around your waist you dodged him.
He began growing frustrated, there was never a problem he couldn’t solve.
Oz asks Lili if she has any idea.
Oz is surprised when Lili bursts out laughing.
Apparently it was all some elaborate prank between you and her.
Oz grumbles, rolling his eyes.

Oswald Cobblepot is the epitome of old-fashioned.
He will properly court you before asking you to go steady.
And yes he would use those exact terms.
Once you two do become an item he only gets more romantic.
If you like them, he will send or hand-deliver flowers to you every day.
He loves to hold your hand whenever he gets the chance.
You two enjoy taking strolls through the city, just talking about a whole lot of nothing really.
With you beside him, your arm linked with his…it's easier to drown out the judgmental looks and comments he usually got when he was out.
It takes a while in the relationship for him to gain the courage to kiss you.
You're more than likely his first true kiss, and he wants to get it right.

Arkhamverse Penguin:
“Geez…pipe down Y/N. My ears are bleedin’ over here!”
“Damn! How is it dat you can speak at a frequency only dogs are supposed to hear? So damn high.”
“Jesus did you swallow a whistle or something?”
“Love…love…hey, Y/N! What’s distracting you, love?” Oz had a gloved hand slightly shaking yoru shoulder.
You shook your head slightly, slowling hushing the harsh comments from Oswald’s henchmen earlier. You were just doing Oz a favor and it ended up biting you back in a way you didn’t expect.
“S-Sorry, just was remembering things from earlier…” You muttered softly.
“May I ask what things?”
You shook your head again. You didn’t want to get the guys in trouble. Yeah, they were assholes, but it also wasn’t their fault that your voice was the way it was.
Oz gave you a flat smile, but nodded, not wanting to push the subject anymore.
Oz attempted to change the subject, talk about the Iceberg Lounge, some of the rogues he managed to bump into. Yet, you only seemed to offer short and quiet replies.
He hates when you do this. Oswald absolutely adores every thing about you. Especially your voice, he’ll never understand why you grow quiet sometimes.
“C’mon, love. Talk to me, you know how happy it makes me to hear you…”
“I-I’m sorry, Ozzie…I just don’t want to…to..” You spoke as soft as a feather.
“To what, love?”
You start scratching the back of your neck, your nerves going haywire. “I-I don’t want to make your ears..b-bleed.”
Oswald furrowed his eyebrows. “What? Love, you’d never…I never…who told you that?”
You gulped. “N-No one…I just know…”
“Love.” He scooted hsi chair so he was next to you instead of in front of you. “I don’t know who told you, you made their ears bleed, but know this…they didn’t deserve to hear you anyway. I love your voice, it’s sweet and pure, just like you. When I hear you talk and say my name, it makes this old ticker of mine swell up.”
You found your small grimace slowly growing into a smile. “Y-You really mean that?”
“There it is!” He kissed your cheek. “And I do mean it, with everything in me.”
Reevesverse/Farrell Penguin:
Oswald didn’t like this. No, he didn’t like it one bit.
You had mention before to him about your insecurities with your voice. How you knew it was higher pitched than most. How many people found it annoying, how some thought you were just putting it on. Oswald did his best to put your insecurities at ease, but you both also knew the world continued to be a cruel judgemental place.
It was another night at the Iceberg Lounge. You and Ozzie were mingling with some of the guests. However, you soon realized your group wasn’t so accepting of you…or your voice.
“My God, how can Cobblepot stand that walking whistle.” One guy joked.
You were about to say something, when you felt a hand on your shoulder.
“Simple. He loves this walking whistle. Especially her clear, sweet, shining voice. The only thing bringing the mood down is your tone of voice..”
“Ozzie..” The red in your face flushing to flattery instead of anger.
“O-O-Of course, Mr. Cobblepot…I-I didn’t mean any d-disrespect.”
Oz didn’t respond. He just kept looking at the man dead in the eyes.
It didn’t take long for the man to scatter along with his company.
Your eyes widened. You may never quite get used to just how much influence Oswald had on others. Just how much people actually feared him, but it’s hard to find fear in someone you cherish.
You hugged his side. “Thank you..” You said clearly, almost proudly.
Oswald kissed the top of your head. “Don’t mention it, sweetheart. Don’t silence yourself for none of these punks.”
Gotham Penguin:
Oswald absolutely adored your voice. It was like crystals glistening in the morning light. So gorgeous and rich, he never understood why you made yourself so quiet and never let your true voice shine through.
The two of you were reading in the common area of the mansion. However, this evening he wanted you to read to him.
“And, this time, my sweet. I want you to read with your full voice.” Oswald took a seat in the chair opposite you.
“F-Full voice?” You stammered quietly.
“Yes, please? I miss hearing it.”
“Y-You don’t think it’s…well…shrilling?”
“I think it’s very delicate, yet strong. It’s yours, a part of you, and I adore everything about you.”
You softly gasped at that. It’s taken months for him to be so forward with you and his feelings. “Y-You really mean that, don’t you?”
“Y/N, you know me better than anyone, and you know more than anything I am a man of my word.”
You giggled. “Yes, that’s true.”
Fueled by new found confidence you were not going to annoy your boyfriend. You began reading with zero hesitation and with no filter.
Your smile grew when you glanced from your book to see Oswald proudly smile back at you.

“I wish I had a voice like yours, Ozzie..” You mentioned softly.
Oswald barely heard you, as he fed his aviary. “W-What do you mean, dearest?”
“Your voice is just so…warm, proper, and tender…u-unlike mine..” You muttered.
“Oh, my sweet dove…but I love your voice just the way it is!”
“R-Really?” You covered your mouth with both of your hands when you heard your voice at full volume.
Oswald shook his head, disapprovingly. He grabbed the wrist of your hands and slowly brought them away from your mouth.
“Really, I do. Your voice reminds me of the sweet morning dove that serenades the rising sun. It’s so delicate and precious, much like yourself.” He squeezed your hands to empahsize his words.
“Oh, Ozzie…you’re just saying that..” You looked away from him, your face slowly warming up.
“Not at all, my dear. I mean every word…I wish you would believe me..” His thumb began caressing your very red cheek.
“I-I think you just might make me believe, Ozzie.” You said proudly.
TNBA Penguin:
“Oswald…” You called softly.
“Yes, my dear?” You two were settling in to bed. You were in the bathroom, staring at yourself in the mirror. You looked at Oz through the mirror, reading a book in bed.
You began making your way from the bathroom to the bedroom. “W-What do you think of going out Wednesday night?” You got under the covers next to him, still speaking as delicate as possible.
“That sounds splendid, darling…however…”
You looked up surprised. “What is it?”
“However…I’m going to need you to start speaking normally, my dove. I can hear you now in the serenity of our nest, but surely not in the company of others.” He insisted.
“Oh, uh…well…” You bit your bottom lip. Trying to think of what to say instead of letting your insecurities come pouring out.
“Darling, is everything all right?”
“You don’t think I sound too…high pitched?” You inquired.
Oswald put down his book, his eyebrows burrowed in thought, but not for long. “No, not at all. I find your voice lovely, dearest…has someone told you otherwise?”
“I-uh-well…I have been told so, occasionally growing up.” You explained.
“Hm…and there hasn’t been any recent incidences..correct?”
You nodded. “Y-yes…”
“Well, I’d say everyone whose told you such awful things…are just envious. They wish they could have a divine voice.”
You looked up at him, with a look of disbelief on your face.
“I love it when you chatter with excitement, causing your voice to get higher. I love how you say my name, and I love it even more because its a part of you.”
You exhale shakily, trying to keep the tears of happiness overflow. Instead you wrapped your arms around him and buried your face into his neck.
“T-Thanks, Ozzie..”
Oswald chuckled as he squeezed you back in the embrace. “Yes, exactly like that, my dear.”
Telltale Penguin:
You’ve been talking so quiet all day. Oswald couldn’t understand what made you so hush hush. You two were walking through his parents’ park. His heart swelled up whenever you picked up some lose trash or grabbed a napkin from your bag and wetted it to try and wipe away from of the graffiti. You were the most precious thing to him, but yet you were so quiet and reluctant to speak all day.
“Hey, love, is there something wrong? Feelin’ under the weather?”
“Huh? Oh..uh no I’m fine..” You assured breathlessly.
“Why’re you talkin’ so soft, then?” He turned around and cut in front of you path. Bringing your once peaceful stroll to a halt.
You looked up at him. He wasn’t upset, more curious than anything. He leaned his head down, inviting you to respond to him.
“Well?”
“I-I just…my voice is annoying. I know it annoys you…it annoys everyone..”
“Hey, hey, hey.” Oz put his hands on your shoulders. He peered down at you, lifting your head up by your chin between his thumb and index finger. “If you think I find you annoying, love you don’t know me at all…”
“Y-You’re just saying that…”
“Love, I know I kid with you a lot, but not at your expense. I love everything about you, including your voice.”
Oz leaned into your ear and whispered. “Especially when you’re screaming my name..”
“Ozzie!” You shoved him to the side and you began speed walking away from him.
“No, no…not quite like that, but that’s better!” He strided off to catch up with you, as you groaned to yourself.
One Bad Day Penguin:
“Ozzie can you hand me the remote?”
“Sorry, what was that, sugar?”
“Could you hand me the remote?”
Oswald hits his ear with the heel of his hand. “Hmm..maybe that’ll help, can you try again?”
“Oswald…” You groaned.
“I heard that a little better.”
“You can hear me you jerk!” You asserted, leaning over his lap and snatching the remote from his side.
“Well, now I can! You’re not mumbling quietly to yourself.”
Your face fell from defiance to distraught. “Oh..I-uh…didn’t notice…sorry.”
“Y’know, it’s not the only time you do that kinda thing…is everything, okay?” Oswald was nothing if not observant as hell. You really should’ve known better.
“I…I just, trying to control my voice I guess..” You tried to explain.
Oswald blinked rapidly as his eyebrows furrowed. “Why? There’s nothing wrong with it.”
“Oh, please, Ozzie…I-I know it can sound rather..pitchy and that’s probably aggravating.”
“Says who? I never said that.” He looked over at you. “Did someone say that to you?”
“No, no! I…um…well..figured it was a safe assumption.”
“Well, you know that old saying about assuming..” Oz nudged his shoulder against yours.
You giggled. “It’s just I’ve been told that…before by others.”
“I think you know me well enough to know I’m not like the others, darling.”
“I know, I do know. And I love you for it…tremendously.” You leaned your head on his shoulder.
Oswald kissed your head. “And I love you, sweetheart. You and your voice, don’t lower it or change it for anyone.”
The Batman (2004) Penguin:
Oswald has a difficult time computing this. Like have…have you heard his voice? It sounds like his vocal chords are going through a cheese grater (his thoughts not mine, I love this wee gremlin). He knows his voice isn’t the most soft, tender, or elegant voice in the world, but it’s his and he’s proud of it.
For you to have such a beautiful and bright voice, only to be so unsure about it to were you’re barely speaking above a whisper…it hurts him.
“Hey, Y/N…why do you do that?” Oswald asked.
The two of you had just gotten back to your shared apartment after a date. You had been whispering and speaking in a hushed tone all night. Often having to repeat yourself to him.
“Do what, Ozzie?” You questioned as softly as a feather.
“Like that! Whispering, all quiet. That’s not your normal voice.”
You bit your lip, you managed to get through the whole night speaking in a more refined tone. You never suspected he would actually caught on to it.
“Well, um…I just…” You sighed. “I didn’t want to ruin the night with my squeaks and shrills..” You mumbled.
“You…” Oswald shook his head in disbelief. “You didn’t…you wouldn’t ruin the night. I missed your voice all night! I love your squeals and squeaks, they’re adorable! Just like you!” He exclaimed, waddling over to you and taking your hands in his.
“Wait…really?”
“Of course! Is that why you were talking all muddled and hushed? If anyone has a problem with your voice, they’re gonna have to answer to me about it!” He snarled.
You giggled and combed your fingers through his spiky orange hair. “Thank you, Ozzie” You squeaked.
“Don’t mention it, sweet thing. Glad to have your voice back!”
Batman Unlimited Penguin:
You really should know better than to speak so softly. His ears aren’t exactly what they used to be.
“My dear, I’m sorry, could you say that again, perhaps a bit louder?”
You two were in the middle of planning the grand-opening of the new aviary at the Gotham Zoo. You held the itinerary of the events and a spare map of the entire aviary.
“Oh, uh…yeah, sorry, Oswald.” You stammered.
“You’ve been speaking low and soft all day, do you have something ailing you, beloved?”
“I-I-uh…no…not exactly. I-I’m fine.” You insisted, straightening out the papers in hand to try and focus back on the job at hand.
Oswald had other ideas. He grabbed the items from your hand and shoved them down and out of view.
“Oswald-I’m fine! Honest!”
He just looked at you, deep into your eyes. Oz’s eyes never wavered, but yours did. Your pupils constantly darting back and forth, left and right.
“Y/N…I’d like to think we’ve grown close enough to discuss anything that troubles us.”
Your heart sunk at just how hurt he sounded, not out of anger or sadness, just confused.
“I’m sorry,” You piped up at normal pitch. “I-I didn’t mean to make you worry, I just know my…normal voice can be…a lot.”
“What do you mean, dearest? I can never get enough of your voice…has someone told you to change it?”
“I-I, well, no…not recently anyway.”
Oswald sighed. If anyone knew about the cruelities of human perception to even the slightest flaw or suspected abnormalities it would be him.
He offered you a soft smile. “Y/N, my dearest, darling Y/N. I will always love you just as you are. Voice, and all. I would never ever ask you to change a thing. And anyone who has wish they could change something in themselves but can’t. And they weren’t worth your time or energy anyway.”
You found yourself smiling back at Oz.
Oswald let his hand go from the documents and let you lift them back up to view.
“Please, my love, one more time. With your one true beautiful voice.”
You leaned down to the side of his face and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “With pleasure, Ozzie!”

I just wanted to ask how any various versions of the Penguin would think of an S/O who’s really knowledgeable about paleontology, sharing little facts 24/7 and always rambles about dinosaurs/prehistory?
I always love seeing your posts, they’re a joy to read and BTAS Ozzie’s always been a favorite of mine.
A/N: not the Jurassic Park theme playing in my head when I read your request asdfgh. Jurassic Park was a huge part of my childhood and your girl for a minute wanted to be a tiny blonde-haired Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler love child, but alas…twas not meant to be. I did some research just to refresh my memory and…why do some of these pengys have something to do with museums and exhibits lmao. Almost every single Penguin has infiltrated a museum, enclosure, or exhibit…like…popular theme or nah?
Penguins w/ a Reader Interested in Paleontology:
Arkhamverse Penguin:
- I mean…who else did you think helped him set up his museum in Arkham City?
- Oswald was always intrigued by the research, dedication, and knowledge it took to explore vast locations for just a smidgen of evidence that prehistoric life lived there millions of years ago.
- He chuckles at the thought of any caveman imagining a world of skyscrapers with men dressed intentionally as a damn bat swooping from the rooftops.
- He breaks into a full on laughter if you inform him they’ll likely hunt Batman down and try to have him for dinner.
Reevesverse/Farrell Penguin:
- This Oswald is always interested in hearing whatever your passionate about.
- Just to see your eyes light up, to hear the excited hitches in your voice. He finds it all just absolutely adorable.
- He also enjoys helping you translate certain languages that come up when a new creature is discovered or if you struggle pronouncing a certain country or region.
- Don’t be surprised if you see little dinosaur figures or plushies around you shared living space as small surprised for you.
Gotham Penguin:
- Oswald is always intrigued in learning people’s strengths (usually in order to swiftly counteract them or make it someone’s weakness but not here…not now)
- He enjoys listening to you ramble about the latest discovery or your hypothesis of where certain fossils will be.
- He loves beaming at you, asking you questions, just to keep you rambling. It allows him time to not think so much.
- Just be able to enjoy the moment as you share something you’re deeply passionate about with someone you care about dearly. He appreciates that more than you could ever imagine.
BTAS Penguin:
- Oswald would have so many questions. Who needs the Discovery Channel or National Geographic. You sound far more passionate and sweet to listen too than any of those robotic narrators.
- I imagine he would absolutely swoon as you explain the genealogical history of his beloved birds. How they're the modern day dinosaurs that surpassed millions of years of evolution to live and thrive today.
- Oswald's unlimited adoration for his fellow aviary allies grows tenfold, as does his admiration of you.
- I can see the two of you discussing various time periods and matching each other to certain extinct species of that particular time period.
TNBA Penguin:
- This Oswald absolutely admires the vast knowledge you hold.
- I wouldn’t put it past him that one of these years, he’ll fund for you an opportunity to participate in a dig.
- He appreciates your dedication to such a sophisticated and distinguished study. How are we to evolve and see what’s to come if we don’t look back on the past?
- Oswald enjoys learning different subjects, and if it means he gets to hear you all day as well…that’s the best of both worlds.
Telltale Penguin:
- Oz always knew that you’d take a serious interest in paleontology.
- When you guys were kids you always enjoyed playing with the dinosaur toys. You two used to bury them in the ground and pretend to dig up the fossils.
- He’ll listen to whatever you have to say, anything to see you smile.
- He does find the “big, bad” animals of prehistoric times to be the most interesting. Expect him to ask about those a lot, especially if you announce there was a new discovery.
One Bad Day Penguin:
- Ozzie finds it absolutely adorable, but also super intriguing.
- He never really thought much about…the dinosaurs and how we have what we have somewhat do to their existence.
- Now that he has you though, he’ll be able to get some questions answered. He’s particularly interested in the hierarchy shifts during certain periods. The food chain is usually are fairly fickle system.
- Oswald will also go an extra mile to stay up to date, so he can add more to your conversations.
- He adores you and whatever passion gives you the most joy, and he wants to be able to participate.
The Batman (2004) Penguin:
- OH COOL DINOSAURS
- I can imagine this pengy would absolute be gushing about dinos with you.
- He’d ask you questions like; how big where they? Could they go against *insert other dino here* and no he doesn’t care that they didn’t exist in the same time period!
- Ok, ok, he does cause he understands your need for accuracy…but if you could give him atleast the hypothetical odds…
Batman Unlimited:
- Oswald loves animals, I don’t doubt this Oz has dabbled in zoology (he…he literally formed an animal themed gang called the Animalitia…I rest my case)
- It almost seems like fate to run into you, someone whose borderline obsessed with paleontology.
- Hours, upon hours, are spent discussing the bridge between the two studies.
- For once he feels like he’s found someone that truly understands him. To say he’s also smitten is an understatement.
- I don’t doubt this Penguin would also gift you paleontology related gifts; like claws, bones, and even a necklace of bracelet with a charm filled with amber.

Hello! While the requests are open I would like to ask to know how the preparation for Christmas and the celebration itself will take place together with the penguins.

A/N: Of course anon! Sorry this took some time to get to, I’m trying to get all the seasonal/festive requests done before the season is over and I got crazy, crazy busy needless to say like everyone else has been, and other...things…rip BUT Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
Christmas w/ The Penguins:
Arkhamverse Penguin:
- It’s difficult to prepare for the season.
- Oz is..crazy busy, almost all the way up to Christmas Eve or early Christmas morning.
- However, when the two of you start dating…he tries to make more of an effort to spend time with you.
- Especially after one year, despite the countless gifts he gave you, you made it known you just wanted to be with him the most.
- He understands and promises to make time for you in time for the holiday.
- So while he isn’t always there to help you prep for the holiday.
- Oz does make an effort to be there for you when he can and compliment your work when he can.
- You’re pleased to see he’s still in bed with you on Christmas morning, after a sweet night out the night before.
Reevesverse/Farrell Penguin:
- Much like Arkham, he struggles at first to find the proper time to spend helping you prep for the season.
- He definitely tries his best, but there are some years that he can’t get away. But you appreciate what time you get with him all the same.
- When you do get him all to yourself, he’s there 100%.
- He helps hand you decorations to put up.
- He takes you out and about on the town (he’s silently taking tabs on whatever catches your eye in the window to get for you).
- If you want to cook dinner, he’ll help prep you for it.
- If you don’t he’s already got it covered with a special night out.
- You're always appreciative of the times you get to spend with him for the holidays
Gotham Penguin:
- Oswald never cared much for the holidays.
- He found them to be a waste of time.
- A distraction, something to take advantage of someone else who held the season in high regard.
- However, he’ll take…less of vindictive route now that he has you.
- It’ll take a couple years to warm him up to the season.
- You can also count on Butch and Zsasz to get involved in getting the festivities going!
- Oswald’s the best to go to for ornament placements on the tree or where to place the tinsel or lights.
- He also comes up with the most original and thoughtful gifts.
- It takes time, but once he's on board. Christmases with Oswald are special and loving.
BTAS Penguin:
- Oswald never did anything too grand for the occasion.
- Spend the night with his birds, whom he’s given gifts for every single one.
- Now with you, the season is much more precious than before.
- He enjoys watching you decorate around the apartment.
- Just seeing you so joyful and comfortable in a space with him makes his heart swell.
- You can absolutely depend on Ozzie training his birds to come in at any given moment with a mistletoe.
- Come Christmas morning, Oz never fails to melt your heart at his thoughtful gift.
- And Oswald adores anything you get him, just the fact you saw something and thought of him makes him beam with love.
- This holiday is a special day to show your love for one another.

- Normally, he’d just host a party in the Iceberg Lounge.

Would you consider writing for different Penguins with a female reader who is of small stature? (Around 5'0ft) I just think it would be cute for them to get a confidence boost because they are finally taller than someone in the slightest or at least not as short in comparison 😭
A/N: anon…not only…not only would I consider it…but I have thought about this constantly. As a wee woman standing only at (5’1)...it has crossed my mind..multiple times lmao. - In a world where everyone's trying to be bigger and better than him, you're a solid reminder there are some people just for him.
- He finds it cute whenever you defend someone, he admires that you won't let anything like height keep you from standing your ground.

Can I ask for a "Breakfast in Bed" hint with unlimited penguin
A/N: Aww, thank you so much anon! You’re absolutely amazing yourself! And of course you can! I hope you don’t mind I decided to include Buzz, he’s just too cute not to be included lol. (Buzz is basically Oz’s penguin sidekick from the Batman Unlimited movie, Mechs vs. Mutants for anyone confused lol) Because of this, this is one of the fluffiest takes on this prompt lol.
Word Count: 577
Batman Unlimited Penguin - Breakfast in Bed
You were pacing around the kitchen island as you grabbed various supplies. Everything you would need to surprise Oswald who was still peacefully snoozing in the bedroom down the hall.
You’ve been planning this surprise for awhile, but you rarely got the chance to go through with it because somehow Oswald always managed to wake up before you.
Even though, you finally got the upperhand and making headway, there was still the high probability he could wake up and spoil the surprise. Atleast the “in bed” part of making him breakfast in bed.
Thankfully, you had a trust little friend to keep a look out.
Buzz, Oswald’s penguin comrade from his exile in the Antarctic, had his head peeking around from the wall. He watched closely for any movement down the hall and from the bedroom.
“Signs of anything, Buzz?” You asked over your shoulder as you began stirring in the pan.
Buzz squawked softly.
“Thanks, Buzz!”
The penguin nodded in affirmation as he went back to watching.
After a few more hours of cooking, you finally began making the proper finishing touches on the serving tray.
“I’ve really outdone myself this time, Buzz.” You smiled looking at your finished product.
Buzz’s approving squawk came from right beside you as he looked at the breakfast delicacy you made.
His close proximity to you caused you to slightly jump at his comment, but then a revelation hit.
“BUZZ! You were supposed to be on look out!”
Buzz hopped off the stool almost falling as he panically tries to waddle back to his position.
“What’s all this ruckus-AH BUZZ! What’s gotten into you!”
You guffawed at the sight of Buzz, an actual penguin, trying to brute force Oswald, The Penguin, back into the bedroom.
“Thanks Buzz! Sorry, honey! I promise it will all make sense in a minute!” You hollered in between laughing spurts.
When you made your way to the bedroom with the serving tray in hand, you did everything you could not to fall into a laughing fit at the sight before you.
Oswald was sitting up, promptly, in bed. While Buzz held his position steadfast, ensuring that the man didn't move an inch.
"Perhaps you could explain the meaning of all this?" He asked breathlessly, just desperate for an explanation.
You nodded. "I will explain everything. But over a spot of breakfast."
You laid the tray gently on Oswald's lap and Buzz finally seemed to relax.
"Oh! You…you made this…for-for me?" Oswald looked up at you, eyes widened in surprise.
"I did! I-I have been wanting to surprise you for awhile…but you've always gotten up before me.."
You gestured toward Buzz. "And I had him look out, to make sure you didn't wake up before I finished."
When the explanation set in, Oz couldn't help but laugh.
"You were right…it does make much more sense now." He delicately picked a bite of his breakfast with a fork and began eating it.
"This is…it's delicious. Thank you, my love, I-I will never know what I did to deserve you…"
You leaned in and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "You deserve it, Oz. That's why I wanted to do it."
Soon an abrupt growling noise disrupted the intimate moment.
"Aww, Buzz…you hungry too?"
The penguin nodded.
You giggled. "Come on, let's get you something to eat too."
Oswald couldn't help but smile warmly in delight, as he ate his breakfast made with love in perfect contentment.

A/N: sure thing anon! I hope you and the other anon doesn't mind but since these two were strongly jealousy trope based I've decided to combine them. So some pengys will be jealous of a co-worker at the Iceberg! Hope y'all don't mind!
Jealousy Scenarios with the Penguins
Arkhamverse Penguin:
- Ozzie was a fairly envious man. No matter how hard he tried to hide…
- It still came out in violent outbursts or silent seething as he planned someone's swift end.
- He was especially jealous of someone vying for your attention.
- Right now, he was fuming about a certain two-faced gent, that occasionally visited.
- The way Dent looked at you, smirked at you, talked to you. Disgusted Oswald.
- Oz abruptly came up behind you, nearly startling you.
- “Oi, Dent! I asked you ‘ere on business…don’t turn it into your funeral.”
- Harvey chuckled but nods his head acknowledging the threat. He walks away not without winking at you though.
- You show a gratuitous amount of gratitude towards Oswald, having finally got rid of him.
- You likely spend the rest of the evening by his side, kissing his cheek, and praising him.
- Reassure him he has nothing to worry about.
Reevesverse/Farrell Penguin:
- He's too busy climbing to the top. To be the best of the best, he can't stop to compare himself and be jealous of another man's wealth.
- Not when he's so close to having all that wealth and then some of his own.
- Yet when it comes to you…that's a different jealousy entirely.
- Oz is relieved to see you being acclimated to the nightlife and some fellow employees at the Iceberg.
- However, when you brushed him off with a small peck to the cheek in favor of an employee…
- Whatever assurance he had quickly morphed into apprehension.
- He quickly grabs you by the waist, forcing you to take a seat next to him.
- That employee can wait, if they’re truly your friend, they’ll understand.
- Daddy Ozzie needs you more, and you can’t turn him down.
Gotham Penguin:
- This Oswald, as we've seen…is extremely jealous.
- God have mercy on whoever Oswald's green little monster of envy sets its eyes on.
- He isn’t opposed to going to the extremes to soothe his jealousy.
- Your visits to the Iceberg Lounge were often the highlights of his days.
- He couldn’t ignore how excited the new bartender got when they saw you.
- The way their eyes lit up, their smile widened…Oswald wasn’t a fool.
- He doesn’t mind if you have acquaintances, he has some of his own…but clearly the bartender’s intentions weren’t so innocent.
- You’re a little disappointed when you see the Iceberg Lounge has a new bartender.
- Don’t worry though, Oswald is there to comfort you, besides he’s really all you need anyway.
BTAS Penguin:
- It’s fair to say once you and Oswald are in a relationship, he will never want to let you go.
- This means that anyone stepping in with even the slightest romantic or even affectionate intentions is an automatic threat.
- One that Oswald doesn’t take lightly.
- Oswald was nervous for you to meet his more…colorful and eccentric colleagues.
- However, he was more displeased at just how comfortable you got with a few.
- Nygma, Tetch, Isley, Quinn…
- Everyone just adored you…as they should you are incredible but…but
- You’re HIS. And HIS only!
- Before you know it you’re being rushed out of the meeting hall by Oswald.
- He makes some lame excuse about not feeling well or how they forgot something imperative at home.
- You knew he was jealous.
- More than likely, you spend the rest of the evening reassuring him, that no one compared to him and that you would always choose him.
TNBA Penguin:
- Oswald tries to hide it.
- It’s beyond him, no true gentleman should be jealous of anyone…
- Who are you talking to?
- Who are they? He’s never seen them before..
- No matter, they’re nothing special.
- Albeit, he doesn’t like how they’re making you laugh and smile.
- Surely, you’re just entertaining them…being kind, you were a brilliant host/hostess.
- You call upon him, wanting to introduce him to this person.
- Yes, you were just being polite.
- Begrudgingly, you initiate the introductions, yet when the stranger held out his hand to Oswald. Oz barely shook it back.
- Afterward, Oz swiftly linked his arm with yours and swept you away from them.
- You asked what was wrong, what has gotten into him?
- Oz gives you the silent treatment with little to no actual answers.
- When you conclude he got jealous, you couldn’t help but kick yourself, because; of course!
- Be sure to hug and kiss him, and let him know that you know what’s up and he doesn’t have to worry.
Telltale Penguin:
- I can see this Oz trying to hide his jealousy too…
- He’s actually the absolute worse at hiding it.
- Especially if you ever show any attention towards…Bruce, or other wealthier, more upper class men.
- He knows you’re more than likely just being friendly or polite…
- Oz doesn’t like it though, he can tell these scumbags are just taking advantage of your kindness.
- You can count on both hands and then some the nights out where he’s wrapped an arm around your shoulders or waist and quite literally pulled you away.
- Then he tries to make it out like he did you a favor.
- “No need to thank me love, I can tell you needed saving.”
- “What can I say, not all heroes wear capes.” *insert wink*
- Let him think what he wants, but you recognize the signs fairly well, and you can’t help but find it slightly attractive.
One Bad Day Penguin:
- Not entirely sure why, but given what he’s gone through, I can see him being like…the least jealous?
- He definitely does get jealous, but not as quick or to the extent I find as other pengys.
- One night, Ozzie sees a certain performer getting a little to close to you.
- Reaching out touching your arm, placing a hand on your shoulder, invading all sense of your personal space.
- And you’re being too damn nice for them.
- Although he knew you were just doing it out of respect for him. You didn’t want the club to lose out on a high crowd act…
- However, you should also know Oswald doesn’t give two shits.
- After a moment or two of absolute seething and waiting for you to say something.
- Oz will walk up and as you to do him a favor while he talks to the performer.
- You nod, almost excitedly, and gave a bright farewell smile to the act.
- The next day you notice the itinerary for the evenings performers slightly altered.
- You joked that he didn’t have to fire the performer, nothing was going to happen.
- Oz shrugged, no amount of revenue is worth the bile of jealousy that was welling up in his throat.
The Batman (2004) Penguin:
- Somewhat like Telltale Penguin and TNBA Penguin, he tries to hide it.
- Puffs out his chest, swings his arms back, doing whatever he can to power his bravado.
- Oz knows better though.
- The green monster of envy creeps up whenever he sees you enjoying the company of others.
- Company that…look normal…conventionally more appealing. That are tall in height, have regular teeth, and all five fingers…not a freak like him.
- If you spend a decent amount with the company, it takes everything in him to not respond impulsively in frustration for you to give him attention.
- He’s likely to try and isolate himself, not wanting to upset you or get in the way.
- You go looking for him, worried how uncharacteristically quiet he had gotten.
- When he snaps at you about being distracted or having a better time with your friends than you ever did with him…
- He makes it obvious what’s bothering him, even though he tries to dismiss it.
- Comfort him, hold him, and let him know you wouldn’t want him any other way.
Batman Unlimited Penguin:
- As much as Oswald would like to think he’s gotten too old for jealousy.
- He was jealous of everyone.
- Everyone that looked normal. Everyone that received love. Everyone that was seen, respected, and heard.
- Then, by some miracle he found someone to love him in you.
- Anything that tries to get in the way of that, is an immediate obstacle that must be taken out.
- Anyone that dares leer at you, put a hand on you, or speaks to you flirtatiously or even slightly more friendly…
- Oswald is there in a flash. Instantly putting whoever in their place.
- Making it known you’re his, they could never have you.
- You have told him in private how he doesn’t need to be so envious, you weren’t going anywhere.
- As the years have gone by, he doesn’t react quite as impulsively, but you’ve recognized when he’s started getting agitated.
- Whenever you begin seeing him become jealous, you try your best to make your way towards him.
- You embrace him, kiss him, openly publicly, and that usually does the trick.
- Another day to wave away the little green monster of envy.
