April 2023: Powerless
We lost power on Friday at 2158 & just got it back on Sunday around 2129.
Fortunately, this was the worst storm damage at the house:

These are my banana plants. I’m going to weed them and eventually put mulch or stones. Should I transplant them or should they stay in the side of my house? Do they need full sun or shade?

tropical plant update: I raised my monstera off of the ground a bit more so that it will have more time being exposed to direct sunlight. I’d really like for it to produce a lot more leaves with splits throughout the summer.
My banana tree is easy to care for. I’ve just been putting it under a lot of environmental stress so it lost four older leaves at the bottom of the stem. I also moved it away from my windowsill recently; the leaves were getting sun burned from leaning against the hot window in direct sunlight. I watered it yesterday and I hope to see another leaf sprout and unfurl before the month ends.
