Part one of reworking this thing. Gonna be a long ride.
This is why you NEVER draw a stencil from a picture of an existing tattoo, even if the client "wants the exact same thing" - the image will be distorted.
The tattoo ref:
If they are determined to replicate the design (or in this case, I am reworking it to correction), you need to look for the original reference image used; using the TATTOO reference image is not good enough, not only because of distortions but also the artist that did the tattoo might have made some choices (changes/simplifications) that you would not. A lot of the widely-circulated images of existing tattoos that folks bring in are decent, but sourced from exactly one original picture that you can track down with a little work. With AI junk clogging things up, it took me a bit longer than it should have, but I did eventually find it:
THIS is what you need to make your stencil from. You can see quite a few differences in accuracy from this and the tattoo reference, including some weirdness in eyes that I would have definitely fixed... though, in my case, I'll just be using this photo as a reference to rework what I can into better anatomy.
Beware Of Untrained Tattoo Artist, Choose the best artist, Don't be deceived, Avoid the clumsy ones, Avoid making fun of people, You don't have to hide your tattoo. Tattoos may be cheap, but your body isn't,
Oh god. Not to rain on anyone's parade, but maybe spend your time in life on other things that working on how you look. Why not learn a language? Why not develop a hobby? Why not sing and dance just for the fun of it instead of the capitalism of it?
Why not volunteer more and end violence and poverty?
Lots of odds and ends this past week. Wrapping up projects, doing photo shoots, experimenting always.
FYI, please for the love god, go see a professional tattoo artist. I bought this tattoo machine to see if I could convert it into a tool to use in my mask-making. But it came with “practice skin” and I just couldn’t resist. I’m pretty sure that everything I did was wrong. Hopefully I’ve demonstrated why you shouldn’t go to your friend who just bought a machine off of Amazon 😂
(For the record most of my tattoos are from @/tattoosbygregfoster (IG) who has spent decades tattooing and is amazing)
Someone finally told this guy what his tattoo actually meant. He got it 8 years ago.
Irish TikToker Keaton Jesse has shared a funny story about the tattoo on his left wrist – and it’s quickly going viral.
Responding to another user who asked folks to share their most random tattoos, Jesse shared his tale about the tattoo he got eight years ago. He has the lesbian symbol inked inside his wrist, but he didn’t realize that is what it means until someone finally told him.
He was 15 when he went to the tattoo artist to celebrate coming out as gay. He says in the video that he told the artist he wanted the “gay pride symbol” and that the straight male tattoo artist quickly did some Googling and got to work.
“Three years later, I’m out in a gay bar and this lesbian girl goes ‘oh my god I love your tattoo,'” Jesse says in the video, “and I was, like, ‘Thanks!’ And she goes ‘Can I ask why you have the lesbian symbol on your arm?’ and it was at that point that I realized I had the lesbian symbol on my arm.”
He says he doesn’t know why he’s never had it covered up, but if the comments are any indication, he shouldn’t. Users loved the story, including someone who has known him for a long time.
“I REMEMBER HOW PROUD YOU WAS WHEN YOU GOT THIS!” they wrote.
“Way too proud wasn’t I?” Jesse asked.
“Pretty sure we took a picture with the peace sign and you made me retake it cause you didn’t do it with the hand with the tattoo on,” the user wrote back with the laughing crying face emoji.
“I’m so embarrassed,” Jesse responded.

Okay, I'm angry on behalf of the public on this one.
Here's some examples of the "most experienced artist" currently at the shop I left a little over a year ago...
Supposedly this person has been in the industry over 20 years, and "can do any style". I'm struggling to find a decent grasp of the basics among these 3, and one of these clients approached us to fix their work.
I'm not kidding when I say that the newest person tattooing there now seems like the most skilled - they at least are sticking to simple stuff they can handle.
And the shop's website hasn't been updated, so their list of artists is exclusively people that no longer work there.
(Don’t hate on stretch marks. They’re there and they ain’t going anywhere. 🤷🏻♀️)
I feel so bad for the poor woman that had to deal with this ☹️ It might not seem like an amazing piece of art to some but this tattoo has literally been making me feel like crap for damn near 4 years! So glad I’m working on it and working on me 😁👍🏼 Want to know the story behind the monstrosity on the left? Message me and let’s compare tattoo horror stories 🖤🥀🖤🥀🖤🥀
“You ghost like magic. Acting reckless in my holy place.”
-Bad Tattoo by Hedley
I’ve gotten good at the concept of people leaving me. I’ve realized, however, that I’m not okay with it. Learning to be more cognizant of who messes with my heart. I’ve always trusted first, and questioned later. This leads to high expectations and high resentments. I’ve let people act reckless with my heart by trusting too soon. This is all on me.
