WHAT: A fanworks bingo celebrating Jewish (and Jew-ish) characters across any and all fandoms. Write fanfiction and/or create graphics (moodboards, edits, vids, whatever you like) to fill prompts on this overall bingo card. During the 8 nights of Hanukkah, submit your fills to the AO3 collection and/or post them on Tumblr to be reblogged and added to the Bingo Masterpost.

WHY: Jewish characters and Jewish fans are often overlooked or erased during the Winter Holiday Season in favor of “Secret Santa” exchanges, Christmas-themed fics, and the idea that ~Hanukkah is Jewish Christmas~ (which spoiler for all fics in this bingo: it’s not). This panfandom Bingo challenge is to celebrate Hanukkah on its own terms and give Jewish characters and fans a place to breathe. :)

Bailey Delvecchio from the Babysitters Club who is a trans girl and uses she/her pronouns!

the stage is dark but for a single white spotlight center stage. it is empty except for a single microphone. the audience is buzzing quietly.

I walk in from the side aisles and approach the microphone. I am clearly not affiliated with this production. I tap the mic twice and there is some obnoxious feedback. the crowd goes silent. when the speakers stop crunching you can hear a pin drop.

it does bum me out that netflix constantly cancels good shows. the baby-sitters club has a 100% on rotten tomatoes and was so fantastic! shadow and bone was #1 for WEEKS after season two came out! and we all know six of crows would have done even better!!!! anne with an e was beloved and had high ratings as well! it's exhausting falling in love with show after show only for it to inevitably be cancelled. i'm tired of this. there's a reason i almost only watch youtube these days.

honorable mentions: one day at a time, santa carla diet (which i never got around to watching because it was cancelled but heard amazing things), tuca and bertie, and first kill.

If I had a nickle for every time I read a young adult fantasy book in which a parent sacrificed an entire age cohort of children in order to turn their child into a supernatural horror they thought would save the world, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice in two months.

I just bought all this stuff today going to Garage Sales and I paid with pocket change out of my coin purse for everything. 😆 Our city had community garage sale weekend and today was the last day. Everyone was over it giving stuff away before it rains today. Lol ❤️

I don’t ask for much. I just want a bag that’s not a canvas tote, a laptop sleeve with a strap, or a backpack that can fit my MacBook, my iPad, the keyboard for my iPad, my Kindle Paperwhite, my Kindle Fire, my reMarkable tablet, my MP3 player, two paperbacks, my bullet journal, a notepad for scrap paper, a multidevice charger, my external hard drive, my over-the-ear headphones, my bone conduction earbuds, my corded headphones, my tiny dog-shaped Bluetooth speaker, my electronics cleaning kit, my blue light glasses, my regular glasses, my little clip for cleaning my glasses, mints, gum, paper soap, my travel toothbrush, my pill box for my regular meds, Motrin, laxatives, an emergency gummy, travel paper towels, deodorant wipes, face wipes, nail polish removing wipes in case I get fidgety, scissors, a travel screwdriver, Band-Aids, antibiotic cream, rash cream for work, all the pens I could possibly need, spare crappy pens that I can afford to lose to give to people who need to borrow one, some sort of fidget toy, a detergent pen, travel utensils, tissues, a fold-up water bottle, gum, mints, slip-ons in a little bag so I can change my shoes if I get uncomfortable, a cell phone lanyard, and Gorilla Glue.
