I remember going from every village, to towns and kingdom, to cities & nations, and every whatchamacallit that was set in our path during our travels, while I mastered the four elements. And I remember how out of place I was, and yet how I still was able to find a place amongst humanity, again, a 100 years beyond my original time. But nothing stays in my heart more that the elders, who would have been behind me, appreciating the ghost of their ancestors in my voice, in my dance, and in my actions. Their elders, that would have maybe been my children, or my children's children.. I remember and imagine the ones hearing the songs I would sing, that they hadn't heard since they were young-young toddlers, and getting glimpses of a memories of stories of a world long past, as their elders gave them those gifts they could only remember by their souls, that had barely survived being passed down. I was a reminder of that, a living fossil.. and I still remember. I hope the monks would be proud.
