What a difference 58 years makes juxtaposition of Meyers Manx Series I, 1964 & Meyers Manx 2.0, 2022. The Volkswagen Beetle-based beach buggy from the 1960s is to be reborn as an electric buggy for the 2020s. The prototype will be presented at at Monterey Car Week with first customer evaluation vehicles delivered in 2023 and full series production beginning in 2024, 60 years after the first Meyers Manx. The new generation is styled Meyers Manx CEO Freeman Thomas, better known as designer of vehicles like the original Audi TT and VW’s New Beetle. The new buggy has two rear mounted electric motors that send up to 202hp to the rear wheels. Two lithium-ion battery packs with a capacity of either 20 kWh for a 150-mile (241 km) range, or 40 kWh for a 300-mile (483 km) range will be offered.

W SERIES 2022 DRIVER INTRODUCTIONS: #5 Fabienne Wohlwend
Born 7 November 1997 in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, Fabienne began karting at the age of 7. She competed in several championships across Liechtenstein and Switzerland to become a champion in the Liechtenstein Kart Championship in 2008. She’s Liechtenstein’s most succesful racer. 2 podiums in the W Series 2021 season helped her achieve 6th place in the championship standings and automatic qualification for the 2022 season. She will race for CortDAO W Series Team this season alongside Marta García.
“W Series has helped me live my dream and I’m loving every minute of it. It’s such a big chance for us to develop, not just as drivers but as people. It’s given me the courage and confidence to leave my day job, so I guess that speaks for itself. My goal has always been to become the first F1 driver with hair all the way down to their waist. I’ve achieved one of those goals and now I’m determined to make the other one a reality too.”

This turbocharger will change your driving experience like never before by giving your ride massive power gains and superior performance. With this turbocharger, the engineers at CTS Turbo took successful features from their previous releases and made them better. They kept the journal bearing CHRA from the IS38 turbocharger and increased the thrust bearings and thrust collars by 2 mm, to match the larger wheels and the performance-oriented nature of this upgrade.
They also increased the turbo’s oil passages by 0.72mm and put the turbo through extensive in-house tests to make sure that it delivers the highest performance at different altitudes and climates. Their main goals were to manufacture a turbocharger with fast spool times, massive torque gains, and reliable solid mid-range performance, so its safe to say that the CTS Turbo JB-600 Journal Bearing Hybrid Turbocharger MQB Platform 2015-2020 delivers that and more.
Designed for street use, this turbocharger delivers approximately 600 crank hp, around 520-530whp on E85 and 430-460whp on pump 93 octane**. As a performance upgrade, this turbocharger will do wonders for the power and efficiency of your MQB platform. You should also know that this system is engineered to be very durable and withstand the high-performance demands you intend to put it through.

Notes:
Always follow the proper procedure for checking/adjusting the wastegate actuator when installing the turbo! Recommended wastegate actuator voltage: 3.4V-3.6V
We recommend keeping the boost within 25-28psi, less if you’re limited by fueling or a stock engine. Do not exceed the recommended boost range, as it will reduce efficiency.
Installation must be performed by a qualified technician. Always pre-fill the turbocharger, replace engine oil and filter, and follow proper break-in procedures.

Formula RaceRoom 90 – Improved differential settings, less engine braking reduction.

RaceRoom Racing Experience June 2021 Update Changelog New features On top of that, the 2020 ADAC livery pack dropped and the 2021 ADAC GT Masters Esports Championship season began, so you could say that Sector3 Studios has been very busy of late. Other significant changes include new smoke effects, should some drifting be of interest to you, sparks now appear when cars bottom out and replays have been revised thanks to the addition of a keyframes feature and unlimited free camera movements.Īlongside this large update, plenty of other items have been added to RaceRoom, including the Opel Astra TCR, the Norwegian circuit Vålerbanen and Czech Republic’s Automotodrom Brno. Each subsequent car, track or vehicle pack carries a fee, so now you’ll be able to test over 180 cars across the free tracks befoe you take the plunge. One crucial addition is the ability to test drive cars you do not own. RaceRoom is free-to-play, but you only receive five tracks and limited vehicles to kick off. The User Interface revamp that was teased in the May forum post is also now live. There is a new chat window in online multiplayer, specifically when chilling in the virtual garage. More UI updates are expected, but it’s good to see that things are already underway with the latest updates. There’s even bezel support for those using triple monitor setups.
If you don’t necessarily need to precisely tune it, there’s an easy mode to slide back and forth, but the advanced options will provide a fine-tuning to get the view exactly as needed. iRacing recently added this wheel display compatibility, and now RaceRoom can say they’re a part of the cool kids club with custom graphics for the display and the use of 25 programmable buttons.Īnother neat addition – one of the best I’ve seen – is the new Field of View options available to use to get the perfect view from inside the race car. Speaking of wheels, the Thrustmaster Ferrari SF1000 Wheel Add-on is picking up another sim to properly utilise the large display on the wheel. Including a fully functional display and up to 25 bindable buttons. 📢 The June Update for #RaceRoom will be deployed tomorrow!Īnd it will add support for the new Formula Wheel Add-on Ferrari SF1000 Edition! Taking into account that different cars will feel unique to one another after this update, it’s definitely a step in the right direction. The feeling through a wheel is meant to be more realistic and calculated based upon physics. The new system reels in those sliders to be crucial options only, and the tyre forces that heavily influence what the sim racer feels in their hands. The new FFB system was made completely from scratch and built from the ground up, shying away from the older system that neglected tangible factors such as forces on the tyres and used too many unrealistic slider options. As we near the end of the month, they are finally ready to release most of their work, including the big update planned for the improved Force Feedback system. Last month, Sector3 Studios posted what they were up to in the updates department over on their forums. Many of the updates have been teased recently, and there is a lot to unpack here considering this update weighs in at a whopping 3.7 GB. A new update for RaceRoom Racing Experience has dropped today.

Audi TT RS 40 Years of Quattro, 2020. A special edition that celebrates the 40th anniversary of Audi’s Quattro brand that uses a 400PS Audi Sport 2.5 TFSI 5-cylinder engine. To be built in an edition of 40 cars all finished in Alpine White with a Black Alcantara and leather interior. As an option, customers can replace the rear bench seat with a strut cross brace made of carbon fibre – reducing weight by around 16 kgs and improving torsional rigidity.
