German craftsmanship: 1957 Volkswagen Lawrence Coupé by Rometsch
We were familiar with this German coachbuilder, but not this particular vehicle, which we consider beautiful.
The artisan in question is Friedrich Rometsch. He was an employee of the famous Berlin coachbuilder Erdmann & Rossi and founded his own coachbuilding business in 1924. Naturally, like the vast majority of coachbuilders, he didn’t have the expertise and financial resources to become a…

Mazda MX-5 Coupé
The Mx-5 coupe was marketed exclusively in Japan and it did so for a short period of time that did not even reach a year, specifically it was on sale from October 2003 to July 2004. This Mx-5 had very good numbers in terms of sales, so it is rare that Mazda has never repeated a similar project or even extended its marketing period. The Mx-5 coupe project fell to Mazda Engineering & Technology, who took care of all the development of this car. To develop this car, what these guys did was use units that were off the production line, which through the insertion of different panels and modifications became the MX-5 coupe. The result was more than satisfactory, the new MX-5 coupé had much greater rigidity than the roadster, it was much more exclusive and aesthetically it had a very nice line. In addition, the increase in weight compared to the convertible version was only 10 kg. The Mx-5 coupe was marketed with the same options as a regular Miata. The basic version incorporated the 1.6-liter engine that produced 110 hp. The gearbox could be either a 5-speed manual or an automatic. Three “special” versions were also put up for sale. The most striking, which is not the same as the most attractive, was the Type E version. Only 150 units of this version were manufactured and exclusively in two colors; Lightning Yellow and Velocity Red. The engine of this Type E was a 1.8 with 146 horsepower and mounted an automatic gearbox. Another version that was marketed was the Type S. Its engine was also a 1.8 with 146 horsepower, but this time it was mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Type S was only available in three colors; Pure White, Classic Red and Sunlight Silver. Finally we have one of the most attractive versions, the Mazda MX-5 Coupe Type A. This version was limited to 200 units and was only available in the same colors as the Type E; Lightning Yellow and Velocity Red. The engine of this MX-5 Coupe Type A was again the 146-horsepower 1.8 mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
