You fix yourself up one last time before going downstairs to the living room where Ao'nung is picking the movie you two were going to watch for movie night which you did every week. It was his turn to pick the movie and you hoped the movie he picked was good.

“Have you found a movie for us to watch yet? If not I can pick out a movie,” you say as you enter the living room and look at where Ao’nung is sitting on the couch manspreading. “Yes, I found a good one,” he smirks as he points to the tv, you turn your head to look at the selection and you let out a sigh after reading the bold letter words, Uncaged: 47 Meters Down.

“Where do you find these things?!” you groan as you look at him. “Lo’ak told me about it, he watched it with my sister and said it was good,” he sends you a warm smile as you walk over and plop down next to him.

‘Babe, you know how much I hate horror movies,” Ao’nung knew that and would never forget that detail about you but the reason he picked the movie is he got something out of when you would watch scary movies, you end up being all over him and how can he hate that? What’s a little scary if he gets to comfort you as you straddle his waist? “C’mon babe, it’s not that scary.”

You looked at the screen again, looking at the picture of a shark, a person swimming away, and blood, and looked back at him blinking twice. “It literally has sharks in it, how would it not be scary?” You questioned starting to wonder why he was smirking so much. “We don’t have to watch it if you don’t want to,” he speaks calmly as he kisses your forehead.

You pout a bit and then let out a breath, “Fine, I’ll watch it with you,” You turn to look at the TV as Ao’nung smiles and clicks play. The beginning started off pretty good, nothing scary happened yet but you were on guard for anything to happen, you never knew how Ao’nung can watch horror movies without getting scared, one scary thing pops up and you’re already pissing your pants.

Your luck runs out after the first scary scene pops up you let out a scream, immediately getting closer to Ao’nung and burying your face into his neck taking in the cologne that you loved so much.

“Burying your face in my neck kind of defeats the purpose of having the movie on, don't you think?" He snickered as he slid his arm around your waist pulling you closer to him.

The two of you continued to watch the movie, a few scares there but nothing too big, although it was suspicious nothing big was happening yet and your heart started beating fast as anticipation grew higher inside of you.

You try to calm yourself down as you still have an hour and some change to get through.

Just when you thought you could finally relax, another scary moment happened and it was so scary that you screamed and immediately climbed onto Ao’nung’s lap, straddling him as you lay your head on his shoulder.

“This is not fair, you did this on purpose…” You softly mumbled making Ao’nung laugh feeling the vibrations.

"You get to curl up in my lap, and I get to watch a cinematic masterpiece in peace and quiet. I think this is a pretty sweet deal." Ao’nung smirked as he felt you tighten your hold on him.

“You’re banned from picking another movie.” You state with a serious tone but you were half joking. ‘Now that is not fair.”

hellorr, just lately i've been reading a lot of avatar modern headcanons, so i felt like writing some!

all the headcanons here are what i think the blue aliens would look like as humans (some make a lot of sense in my head)

first of all, english is not my native language so if there is any confusing sentence I'm sorry

AVATAR MODERN HEADCANONS

Neteyam is black, EVERYONE KNOWS THAT! he has the same skin color as his mother, and he has dreadlocks that hit a little above his shoulder, and he's a tall guy.

hes a mamas boy, he can cook, clean house, fix things (because after all, he is the oldest all the load of the younger ones is on him.)

AND he is a super gentlemanly guy, he always has a kind smile on his face and is liked by many people

HE IS ALSO A LADYS MAN, how many women do rain on this man, he sure is kind to all of them, I bet he flirts with some even, gives a little kiss there but never anything serious! he would be a great date.

Lo'ak is a light skin, everybody knows how similar he is to his father, I believe he also has dreadlocks but a little bigger than neteyam since he likes to tie them!

he always tries to show his worth to jake but it always comes off as an idiot, i think he would be the kind of guy who is smart but is too lazy for that(i have a kin in this man

he thinks people hate him because whenever he walks through the halls everyone starts staring and whispering at him

he LOVES teasing kiri, after all she is his favorite sister (he will NEVER admit it out loud) he also likes to make fun of tuk

he stares at tsireya like a hungry animal (don't get me wrong) he only realizes he is drooling when the people around him start laughing at him

he is a dramatic man

Kiri she is white and has red hair because grace was white and red hair too.

she believes in signs and always asks neytiri to buy rose quartz for her

a mother of plants

she who provides the trinkets for the family to use in their hair

She's always wearing eyeliner, and she still believes she can't live without it.

SHE ALSO HAS WOLFCUT

is always gossiping with tsireya, and when she with lo'ak lets out a "gross"

TUK is the copy of her mother, among all the genes she has, she pulled neytiri on everything!

she is a little black girl who has her hair in several different hairstyles every day!

she loves roblox but something tells me jake wouldn't let her spend too much time on the ipad because she's too young to be addicted to video games

she is also mamas girl

she loves all her brothers but she has a greater affection with neteyam, after all he is always taking care of her

she always tells jake when loak is bothering her

and she feels bad after jake pulls loak's ear.

she loves popoyo

Tsireya is a light ski nanned , she's a sweet person but don't take her seriously, she automatically becomes a version of her mother

she LOVES decorating gel nails, or just nails, it doesn't matter how long your nails are, she always finds a way to make her beautiful

is always playing with tuk

no one knows but she LOVES flirting with lo'ak because she knows he's a fool for her and is embarrassed by everything

is always hitting on aonung when he says something stupid

she is also a my melody collector!

Aonung is quite tanned but still a light skin, is always surfing or pestering someone

he is that kind of clueless friend who says something that is offensive in 8 different countries( and it also offends many minorities )

he can be a sweetheart whenever he wants

if you say anything offensive to tsireya or roxto he immediately was to hate you for the rest of his life

if you find him in a corner with his homies, you can be sure he was gossping about the sullys

ROXTO, he is the blackest of all (apart from tuk obvs)

he's a sweetheart, he's that kind of friend who knows the whole school

he is an average student but excels in the arts

he loves to make bracelets

he's cute, and I believe he catches the attention of several women too

he and lo'ak are besties ok

SPIDER let me tell you about our white boy

he is a darling 😭

neytiri hates him because he is american(?) (shes latina okay)

he is scared to death of neytiri because he knows she hates his father

he has a HUGE crush on kiri i swear he is a simp for her

he and loak are trouble together but who said they care about that?

he used to be very close with jake when he was younger but neytiri cut that line

I'm sure he also has several women after him.

Hi, I love all your Avatar Fics. Can we get a snippet of the next Chapter of Oh No?

Aw thank you! 🥰 It sucks so bad that I don't have as much time to write these days, but I'm still chipping away! I'm focusing mainly on Merciless, of which the next chapter should probably post tomorrow 😁 I haven't written for Oh No in a while but I do have ideas laid out for the next part... Here is the beginning of the next chapter 💞

“You’re not stupid. You’ve seen how remote this place is. You’re not getting anywhere by trying to escape again. It’s an hour’s drive to the nearest town. No one lives within a twenty mile radius. So if you do decide to act out again, know that it will only end one of two ways. If you’re lucky, we’ll find you and rescue you before you die of exposure. If not…” Quaritch’s voice trailed off and Spider heard the unspoken message as loudly as if he’d shouted it.

“So what?” he asked in what he hoped was a level voice. “You’re just gonna keep me here forever? Why? What's the point?”

Quaritch’s eyes roved over Spider’s face. It could have been the lighting, but Spider was sure something changed behind the man’s eyes. Quaritch considered himself before taking a deep breath.

“We’re family,” he said.

The words took him aback.

Spider never had a family. Not until the Sullys. And this monster had come and ripped it all away. He shook his head disbelievingly. The man was insane. How could he communicate with a madman?

He spoke slowly, considering every word in case it earned him a beating. “I can accept that you contributed genes to my existence. I know that. Maybe you even loved my mom. But you are not a father.”

He was scared to watch Quaritch’s reaction. The man was so volatile he had no idea what was going to happen. What he didn’t expect however, was for his kidnapper to stand and clear Spider's plate for him without a hint of anger. There was a mixture of regret and maybe frustration behind Quaritch’s softened eyes, but nothing that signalled an imminent outburst.

“Of course you feel that way now.” He spoke without looking at him, passing the dirty dishes to Mansk for washing up. Then he busied himself making coffee. “I’ve never had a chance to show you. But that’s all changing. You’re with me now. And you’ll soon start to understand. I can’t blame you for this reaction.”

Neteyam walks up to your apartment and knocks on the door, smiling at the thought he’s finally getting to see your beautiful face. He hadn’t seen you in a few days and thought it would be best if he came to visit you.

Of course, he had been keeping in touch with you by text and you had told him that you were busy studying for your biology exam that was coming up. He was also busy with practices so he couldn’t see you as much as he’d liked to.

When he gets no answer from you, he knocks again, maybe you didn’t hear the first knock he thought but when you still didn’t answer he got worried something bad happened to you so he turns the knob, and surprisingly it opens which he thought was weird, you always locked it.

“Babe?” he rushes in, immediately taking in the sight of balls of crumbled paper on the floor and a few empty red bull cans laid out everywhere.

‘What the fuck happened in here?’ he thought to himself. He finally sees you sitting at your desk with a highlighter in your hand, a textbook in front, and an open notebook that was full of notes.

“Babe, are you okay?” he questioned as he walked closer to you, as you turn to face him shocked to find him standing there, he takes notice of your disheveled state and how exhausted you looked.

“Teyam, when did you get here?” you force a smile up at him as he looks at you with a worried expression on his face. “A moment ago, I knocked twice and didn’t get an answer and the door was open,” he takes notice of the bags that were under your eyes and how you looked like you were about to doze off.

“When was the last time you actually got some rest?” he questioned as he once again looked around at the empty Red Bull cans.

He didn’t know you were studying to the point where you weren’t getting any rest and just relying on energy drinks, if he had known he’d have been here sooner and made sure you got the proper rest you needed.

“Babe?” he looks back at you and what appears to be you dozing off, he claps his hands which jolts you awake. “Huh? What? I'm awake, I swear!” you say with a sleepy smile not wanting to admit you were extremely tired and as you turn back to your book to study the highlighter is snatched from your hand.

“Alright, that's it. You're going to bed, and I'm not taking no for an answer.” he quickly swivels your chair around and picks you up in bridal style, and starts carrying you to your bedroom. “Hey! I got to study,” you try to squirm out of his arms but he only tightens his hold to keep you from moving.

“No more studying today, you need some sleep,” he says as he carries you over to your bed softly laying you on it and tucking you in with the blanket. “But the exam is coming up…” You let out a yawn. “And I don’t want to fail,” you pout up at him as he returns it with a smile.

“Don’t worry about that, you’re not going to fail,” You open your mouth to say something but he stops you. “You shouldn’t be ignoring your needs, you should be taking care of yourself,” he states with a stern expression on his face. “I know…” you softly let out and his gaze softens.

“I’ll be studying with you from now on so you don’t have to study to that extent ever again, I can’t have my baby missing sleep,” he kisses your forehead making you smile.

“Now go to sleep,” he says as he goes to leave but you grab his hand pulling him back to you. “Can we cuddle? I’d sleep better if we do,” you look up at him with puppy eyes and he smiles. “Yes we can do that,” he quickly takes off his shirt and climbs in bed with you, and you immediately snuggle up against his chest taking in his scent.

It didn’t take long for you to fall asleep, you were extremely exhausted, and being near him was enough for you to knock out. Soft snores came out of your mouth and he chuckled to himself. “That is so cute,” he thinks to himself before falling asleep.

I’m glad you asked! Let’s dive right in with this diagram.😌

This is something I did months ago. Spider’s room looks much different now but this sketch should give you the basic idea of what Socorro’s living quarters look like.

Okay, the most prominent feature of the room? Crystals, crystals everywhere. Kiri is a crystal girlie and, as the closest person to her, Spider couldn’t escape her influence. He has a bowl with crystal pebbles on his work desk, and amethyst stones under his pillow. (Amethyst symbolises protection, so Spider puts it there to ward off bad dreams.)

Plastic plant vine decorations, since he can’t have real ones in an environment with no windows, but he makes it work, taping it to the roof of the room and making it look like his own little forest.

Has a mushroom table lamp. Not much light from it but hey, at least is looks aesthetic ✨

His desk is messy as fuck, since Spider is trying to fit both notebooks, trinkets and sketchbooks on it. Bestie barely has space to do homework and often prefers libraries or parks for that reason. (Plus it’s a good excuse to be connecting to ✨Eywa✨)

There is a ukulele shoved in the tiny free space in front of the bed. He barely plays it because he’s so busy with school and friends and doesn’t want to annoy anyone with his singing, but lemme tell you a secret: he’s really good at it.🥹

Polaroid photos litter a wall opposite of the doorway, fairy lights hanged around them to remind Spider of the happy moments he had with his siblings, and sometimes even the parents (he has an image of a smiling Neytiri, but it’s tucked away far enough so no one looking in would notice it.)

He also has pages with sketches hanged up on it, be it works he’s proud of, or shading/colour/anatomy studies he’s recently done and wants to keep in mind.

And yeah! The room is tiny as hell, but Socorro makes it work!
