Ooh im so glad you enjoy any type of comments because im so so so obsessed with something (just like this) but felt the comments i left on ao3 weren’t showing how much i really really liked it! [which is a lot, i live react to my little fanfic gc about it whenever i read/reread 😭 shout out to them for listening☝️]
NO, listen—I’m the same way!!! Writing big, analytical comments doesn’t come naturally to me (which means I appreciate the ones I get even more, because i know exactly how much time and thought they take 😭), so I understand the knee-jerk worry of, oh no, is this enough? But I do think that it’s a disservice to each other to like, have expectations of how to comment on something. 🥺 I don’t believe in rigidly policing how we aught to interact with each other’s art (beyond not being dicks). It’s—disheartening! Disheartening and fucking rude, actually, because it does two things: it treats those beautifully detailed, loving comments that people write of their own excitement as the only valid form of expressing love and it also makes reading fanfiction and interacting with each other a chore! And it shouldn’t be! It’s not! I dunno how many times I need to say this, but fanfiction isn’t homework—and that goes two ways!! You, as a writer, are not enslaved to it. You don’t need to finish to a deadline (unless you want to!). And you as a reader are not obligated to provide an itinerary of the time you spend with someone’s work!!!
It’s not the only way to love something. Like you saying that you live react it to the group chat—I don’t even know how to articulate what that means to me, to hear??? Lmfao. Because it’s so cute and it’s so fun!!! And it’s relatable, because I do the exact same thing with fics I love, to the friends that I love. 🥺 If anything, I find it easier to like, lay out what I love in a fic to a chat, if that makes sense? Because I’m not worried about the author! Like—I’m not worried about impressing them, LOL. Or accidentally hurting their feelings if I’m maybe a little confused about something, or am just extra opinionated that day. I can just say, “OH MY GOD [insert writer here] UPDATED [insert fic here] IM LOSING MYS HIT OH MY GOD ITS SO GOOD OH MY GOD!!!! [insert plot twist here]!!!!!! NOOOOOOO OMG WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS TO ME IM TOO DELICATE FOR THIS I HATE IT HERE” etc etc.
We forget that fanfiction communities are built, in large part, because of readers—readers silently reading things, or privately sharing them. Readers making tiktoks about their favourite fic (and then it blowing up and the fic getting deleted because people are mean to other fics in that same community that share the same tropes LMFAO go on, ask me about attackonfic). There’s one user on AO3 that I adore, literally, they are so precious because I see them so often in the comments of the fics I’m reading and every time it’s the same, short and sweet sentiment of how much they love whatever it is they’ve been reading, and sometimes they’ll add emojis and sometimes it’s capitalised but it gets the point across so well. They’ve commented on surrender before; it now lives in my folder for comments, on my phone, because it made me laugh when I first got it.
I promise you, Anon, if you have commented on SJLT then not only have I read it—I’ve screenshot it and saved it to that folder. Because for all I write, I don’t think I can ever adequately express what any comment means to me. 🥺 The sense of relief and—safety, almost? In being seen. It’s just—it’s there for all of them! Every comment!
If anything, I owe you an apology—I’m not good at replying to things in any timely manner 🥺 It’s never malicious, it just—it takes energy, no matter how big or small the comment (or tumblr ask!), because I want each reply to mean something, to return that sensation of hi, i see you too! It’s not an excuse. But I promise, Anon—I see you, too. And I want you (and everyone!) to know, no matter what you’ve said to me on AO3—whether it was an emoji, one word, a couple of sentences or paragraphs that took half an hour to write—it found me just when I needed it. And it meant so, so much. 🥺 Thank-you for reading, Anon. Thank-you for being here. I hope I can give you a finish story that makes those comments worth it. 🥺🌷📖✨💕

Yeah so I just wanna express how much I hate tiktok anime so much especially new anime fanfic cringe fans you know the ones who harass authors to update to the brink to delete there accounts or mess with there state of mental health because of all the bullying and harassment!
I don’t get it have people never heard of fanfics or something it’s not a new concept so why has it blown up on tiktok like this I’m mad cause now we have authors deleting their fanfics because of the overwhelming attention!
People need to start asking for permission to post authors content on other platforms especially something as big a tiktok cause we know that shit blows up fast! We never know if people what that sort of influx of attention do people get that most fanfic authors post for their own state of happiness and are willing to share with us! And just because your credit doesn’t mean you can just post something wherever you like just saying
Basically it’s okay to gatekeep, I’ve found my comfort in anime fanfics so when stuff like this happens and you ruin it for everyone is when I have to express my dislike for new immature anime fans

I juste discovers attackonfics one weeks ago and I’m so mad ( I’m not mad about attackonfics)that attackonfics had to delete all their works, and other social media and their Tumblr account was inactive , juste because some people are so fucking stupid you guys I hate you , you can like what attackonfics doing but it’s not a reason to harass other perpetrators, I hope attacksonfics are okay , you’re an amazing person and it’s not your fault about this people , you are a good authors and you deserve all the love of the world, people who harass the others author don’t deserve you . I’m so sad for @attackonfics:(

So, it’s Fic Writer’s Appreciation Day...
I know this is coming in a little later, than other’s posts about it, but if we really take a step back - we should be appreciation fic writers all the time, not just on one day.
Some people do whatever they can to support people like me - writers of fics that post and share their hobby with the world - and that takes a helluva lot of guts to do. The world’s a scary place, and the people in it can be hella nasty, but we keep posting anyway.
So without further adieu, I’ll get started (’cause this could be a long list...)!
(Also, please take these lightly. I’m not great with words, and I can be awfully awkward, so bewarned~)
First that comes to mind is @ellana-ravenwood. She’s an amazing writer, and I’m not going to lie by saying she wasn’t a huge inspiration for me to start writing and posting - because she was, and still is. So, Ella, if you’re reading this, I want you to know how much you mean to me - and no doubt others too. You’re awesome. Don’t ever doubt yourself.
Next is @writefightandflightclub. My fellow Poe Hoe. My ride or die. I don’t care if you don’t see me the same, you’re a homie to me, and I would kill or be killed for you - I swear that. You always manage to say the best stuff, and I have no idea how you do it, but you better not stop.
@gingerwritess is my go-to for Loki fics. I will forever proclaim your talent, Theo, and how you always manage to write Loki so well. Honestly - did you sell your soul or something? If you did I wouldn’t be surprised. We love your work!
Naturally @propertyofpoeandbucky is on this list, and not just because she’s an absolute doll. Both her and @whirlybirbs have this thing where they get into a new and almost completely unrelated fandom from the one I followed them for, and let’s just say - Lani - I have never felt such a pull to Spencer Reid in my whole damn life up until you started writing for him. I swear -
@fizzyxcustard and @cassiabaggins both post some slapping Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit fics, and they both always manage to pull me into the void known as the Durin Hole, because damn - if somehow their writing doesn’t do that one day, that will be the day I am taken into the darkness and die.
@sunmoonandbucky, @cake-writes, and @imanuglywombat - the Bucky Babes. All three of you are honestly such good writers, and even better people. I love you three so much, and you always deliver - not the content we want - but the content we deserve. I send my love to you, hang in there guys!
@haikyuudreaming. Kris. Sweetie. Your headcanons make my day. They always make me feel better, even if they’re filled with angst - and I can’t help it, they just do, so we’ll have to just put up with that fact. You write our volleyball boys so well, and I love you so for it.
@quilledinkpen. The more I get to know you the more we have in common. I swear if we end up being seperated twins or something I wouldn’t even flinch at it. You’re writing is great, and you’re doing so well.
@commanderserwin, @xxsmokeyy, and @attackonfics, you all feed my Attack on Titan thirst so well. You all write beautifully, and convey the feelings that would come with being in this anime so well that I often find myself cutting off from the real world and being right there - you know? Thank you, for being able to do that.
@keiqos and @keilemlucent, you both are my go-to sin-bin bingers. I’m a Hawks gal through-and-through, but damn - when you write for others I read them too, and I love them just as much. I feel like I need to wash my eyes out, but I guess it’s my fault I can’t help going back for more, huh?
In short, I love all your writing so much. More than words can really say. So consider this me also sending you as much hugs and love as you need!
Make sure to stay safe, and healthy too! As much as I love your writing - you always come first! So take care, and enjoy your day/evening.

summary: it’s the week before finals, and levi is nowhere to be found.

a/n: based on this prompt request (for our muses to stargaze) and based on this fanart of levi. also full credit to @attackonfics for the idea of levi as a computer science major; that’s all KW’s brilliant mind
Despite the duvet curled around your shoulders, you wake up feeling cold. The sheets are frigid against your bare legs and you blindly feel around next to you for the warmth of Levi.
Only to realize that you’re alone in bed. No wonder you’re freezing. With a huff, you crack your eyes open and rub sleep from your eyes. The bleary darkness of the late night settles around you, wrapping you in it’s frigid arms.
It’s the week before what is bound to be an incredibly draining finals week. While you prefer to study during the day and sleep early, Levi hardly ever sleeps. In fact, he enjoys studying at night. Way after you’ve gone to bed. At first, you had tried to stay up with him, to give him company. But your eyes would always close of their own volition, hours before him. And he’d gently scold you to go to bed.
You know he’s been stressed the last few days. Well, really, the whole semester. His master's program in computer science was a lot more rigorous this semester than it was last year. He takes it in stride, hardly ever complaining but you’ve witnessed him breaking down a few times. In his own way. Not outright, but subtly. In the way he wouldn’t let himself sleep, the way he would hardly indulge with you.
Levi wasn’t taking care of himself and so you push yourself off the bed, tugging a hoodie over your head and walking out of the room as if you were on a mission. In the darkness of his apartment, you bump into the walls several times with a low groan.
You find him out on his small balcony, with a cigarette lit between his lips. Levi turns his tired eyes to you, lighting up in acknowledgment and opens the balcony door for you to join him.
“Baby,” You murmur, “It’s cold outside. And you’re standing here shirtless. What will the neighbors think?”
“Our neighbors aren’t awake at 2:58 AM,” Levi scoffs. You wrap an arm around his hips, leaning your head on his shoulder and press a kiss to his neck.
“You shouldn’t be either,” You mutter and pull his cigarette from his fingers, taking a drag for yourself.
“Couldn’t sleep,” Levi mumbles, nosing at your neck.
“I know, baby,” You reply softly, cupping his cheek. You shift in his arms, standing in front of him, over the railing of his balcony. You tilt your head up to the darkened sky and look at the nearly full moon curiously. Levi’s always had a beautiful view of the city skyline from his apartment. It’s part of the reason why you prefer to stay at his apartment rather than yours lately.
Levi’s strong arms wrap around your waist and he pulls you into his chest. Despite the chill of the night air, he keeps you warm and toasty. The softness of his lips passes over the column of your neck as he inhales you in deeply and he follows your gaze over the sky.
“Would you tell me that my eyes are prettier than the stars,” You murmur with a laugh.
“Shut up,” Levi rolls his eyes, “What do I look like? Romeo?”
“You’re my Romeo,” You grin, squirming when he pinches your waist teasingly.
“I’d tell you,” Levi mumbles, turning you around so he can see your sleepy, pretty eyes, “You’re my stars-” he kisses your forehead, “My moon-” a kiss to your chin, “My angel-” a kiss to your lips.
Your cheeks are heated when you meet his eyes. “I was wrong. You’re worse than Romeo.” You toss the cigarette in the ashtray and you surge forward for a real kiss, one that steals his breath away the minute you deepen it.
“Let’s go to bed, baby,” You whisper, “You’re cold…” You drag the pads of your fingers over his bare chest, his shoulders and finally into his hair. You scratch his undercut lightly, grinning when he lets out a low groan.
Levi holds you a little longer in his arms, dropping kisses to your cheeks, your neck, and finally your chapped lips. You hum when he scoops you up in his arms to carry you inside, locking the balcony door behind him.
“You are a real Romeo,” You tease, cupping his cheeks and ignoring his soft glare at you.
“Shut up, or I’ll drop you,” He threatens, no heat in his voice. Except, he does drop you on to the bed before climbing over you and pulling you under the duvet with him.
“Sleep, baby. Tomorrow’s a new day,” You mumble when he lays with his head on your chest. You rub his back, in between his tense shoulders as your nails also skate through his hair and wait for his breaths to even out.
With a kiss to his forehead, you let yourself sleep, too.

general psa.
regarding sharing my work
in regards to my previous post as well as a few things that have been brought to my attention.
my backup is @junemoom
i won't ever post on it, it's more used as a username saver for if i ever need to leave this account. since it's linked to this account, i can't comment or reply to you guys on there at all.
but i don't plan on leaving anytime soon. i don't want to punish the good readers for a few goofy ones. and in the end i can't really stop people.
i will never, EVER, delete my work. i can promise you that one thing. even if i HAVE to leave i don't want to take that away from u guys.
but if this keeps up within the next few months i'm gonna be not happy. i'm not a mean person, i barely have it in my to write this out right now because i never want to be too stern with you guys. but if you cannot listen to my requests, it's going to be hard for me to write for you.
i understand that you guys enjoy what i write, and i appreciate that you want to share it with others. but i don't want a situation like what happened to @/attackonfics to happen with this blog. and the only for SURE way that that won't happen is for you guys to stop spreading my work on tiktok.
i have addressed this once before and will post my previous response in a screenshot here:
recommending my wattpad or my ao3 IS OKAY!!!! i do not post dark content on there, those blogs are very safe. yes they are still 18+ but they're very vanilla and very light posts. if you want to recommend the stories on there you are welcome to.
but the best way to show your appreciation is to just message me.
if you see someone talking about my work on tiktok please let them know that i'm not comfortable with them sharing my tumblr, be nice to them... they didn't know, they didn't mean any harm. you could even mention that my wattpad would be a better option.
in the end, i cannot stop you. and i won't ever delete my work, i would never hurt you guys like that, but when u share my work on platforms like tiktok it hurts me and if i get mass reported for my content there is no way i'll be able to stop my blog from getting taken down :(
