he was funny & nice & just amazing. the two of you were quite close from the start. you just clicked

he immediately told you that you would love his friend bill guarnere
george introduced you to everyone & to bill
bill thought you were the greatest & george was absolutely right. you loved bill
the two of you were inseparable from the moment you met. nobody could get one of you alone. #attachedatthehip
everybody knew that if they saw you, bill was close behind & if they didn’t see him then they knew something was wrong
nobody could mess with you
bill would probably stab somebody for you. he was always there to defend you. always always always
you were very appreciative of this but sometimes you felt as if you could fight your own battles even if bill didn’t agree with that
that led to many arguments & many apologies
these arguments never lasted long because the two of you couldn’t even away from one another for too long
and if anybody EVER attempted to flirt with you, then would be on the ground in seconds
bill never admitted that he had feelings for you but you could tell he did
the two of you were always supportive when getting through obstacles or running of currahee
you always say beside one another during meals & your beds were beside one another in the barrack
all of bills friends had also become your friends
no matter what happened, the two of you were right there next to one another

bill had basically begged you to share a foxhole with him
originally you were supposed to share a foxhole with george. that never happened & saying george was disappointed was an understatement
bill didn’t even have to beg you. if he would’ve just asked you would’ve said yes immediately
george complained about you ditching him every moment he got. he tried to make you feel guilty by fake crying but you just shook your head at him and told him to “stop being so dramatic”
this led to a lot of pouting
sharing a foxhole in bastogne was probably the worst thing to ever happen to you because 1# it was bastogne, 2# you felt like you were going to freeze to death, and 3# it was to depressing to stay in that foxhole after bill had been wounded
the two of you huddled together for warmth, shared blankets, and coffee
it got even colder at night which led to a lot of late night snuggles 🥺
you shared many odd conversations in that foxhole. they were often questionable
occasionally babe heffron would visit the two of you when he got bored or couldn’t take much more of the replacement that shared a foxhole with him
babe you’re a replacement too.”
“the kids a virgin! would you wanna share a foxhole with a damn virgin?”
“i don’t understand why you care!”
you often argued with babe which led to bill rolling his eyes & telling the two of you to “shuddup”. despite the arguing you still loved babe dearly
when bill had been wounded you gave one last sad look at your foxhole, reminiscing on all the sweet times you shared
george was over the moon when you told him you were moving into his foxhole but didn’t show it because he knew that losing bill hurt you deeply
if you needed another foxhole buddy you were glad it was george
