NATM theory?

I feel like the 4th movie might have taken place before the 3rd because Mia says she’s auditioning for Jazz band next fall. In NATM 3 Nick is a senior applying for college. This wouldn’t make sense because I’m assuming that Mia and Nick are in the same grade which means that if Nick was a senior he wouldn’t be doing another year of school. (Unless he got held back or something 😭) This leads me to my conclusion that NATM 4 either takes place before NATM 3 or is in another universe entirely. (Maybe in the universe where the NATM book takes place because I know Joan or Arc is in that?) Anyways that’s my theory and this might not make sense at all but I just wanted to share!
