You woke up with loud banging on your door. It was so sudden, you didn’t know what time it was, what was happening, or where you were. It took you a quick second to scan your surroundings.
It was 2am, or so said the clock on your bedside table, and you were sitting up in your bed, startled and confused about the booming sound echoing through your house.
You got up from the bed and hurriedly wrapped your robe around your body, however, just as you were getting to the living room to look through the peephole, the door burst open. You covered your mouth with your hand to prevent any noise from coming out and hid behind the sofa, praying to whatever wanted to help you that he hadn’t seen you.
You closed your eyes tightly and started breathing heavily as you heard the loud footsteps roam around your house.
It was hard to breathe and you felt as if someone was pressing on your chest.
You opened your eyes slowly and peeked behind the couch. You could see a man… His appearance wasn’t clear as the whole place was dark, the only thing illuminating the room being the moon. He had a broad back and dark hair, that you noticed, and he wore heavy, black boots, that left a trail of dirt wherever he walked.
Who was he? What did he want? Why was he in your apartment?
You hid back and waited until you could no longer hear him.
The silence of his steps felt unsettling… Your chest rose and fell rapidly, and it took all of the courage you had to peek around the couch once more.
However, this time you were met with a man’s face. He wore a wide, Cheshire Cat-like smile on his face as he stared right at you. You could almost feel his warm breath hit your face…
    “Hello, doll!”
You opened your mouth to scream but the male was faster. He slapped his hand over your face, preventing you from yelling for help or anything of the sort.
The male approached his lips to your ears.
“I’m gonna need your help doll…”
You took a look at his appearance. He had on a white, stained, and slightly ripped wife-beater, along with a flashy orange jumpsuit. You examined his body carefully. His hair was damp and his inked, very well-built arms were shiny, he had been running. You were inspecting everything as carefully as you possibly could.. when you noticed.
     Was that blood!?
There were little spots and splatters of dried, red liquid all over his clothes, which made you widen your eyes. What the fuck had he done!?
He noticed your sudden change of emotions and realized you had seen the state of his clothes.
“Listen, I don’t wanna hurt you. I need you to hide me, I’ll explain everything but you’re not in danger, yet.”
The ‘yet’ at the end of his sentence sparked something in you and you began struggling under his hold. He gripped your arm and forced you to stop shifting.
“Calm. Down. You’re not in danger, but if you call the police on me, if you yell for help, you will be. All you have to do is be a good girl and cooperate, because if anything goes wrong, all you need to know is that there are eight of us, if I get caught it won’t be looking too pretty for you.”
You looked at him, eyes still widened and breathing very heavily.
    “You got it?” He asked.
He slowly removed his hand from your mouth and placed it on his thigh. You were full-on crying in fear at that point.
The male said nothing, he just sighed and ran his hand through his sweaty hair. He also didn’t know what to do. He had no idea where the other seven were, he had no idea if they were still alive and he honestly didn’t know what happened next.
“Y-you should take a shower.” You told him, as you finally felt the reek coming from him.
He looked down at himself and nodded. The male stood up and looked at you.
   “I can’t trust you though.”
“W-what then? You’re just going to stink forever? Are you going to make me sit in the bathroom while you wash?”
You were just mocking him, but from the way he shrugged you could tell he didn’t mind one bit to have you in the bathroom with him. You refused at first, but you didn’t really have much choice as he dragged you around looking for the bathroom.
You sat on the toilet, facing the wall as you crossed your arms in front of your chest.
“I can’t believe you’re okay with this.” You complained.
“I was in prison, doll, I had hundreds of men looking at my ass every day when I showered, having a girl in a bathroom with me isn’t exactly a nightmare.”
You were both silent. The sound of the water hitting the floor echoed in the room and the water was so hot that the atmosphere around you two became foggy.
    “Fuck, this is heaven…”
You would’ve chuckled if you weren’t so scared and uncomfortable.
“You know, we have warm water in there, but there are so many people taking showers at the same time so it just ends up being cold all the time. The showerheads are also really old, so they get clogged all the time and there’s barely any water coming out… You come out looking mustier than when you went in.”
You smiled at that. You could tell he was a people person, he was comfortable enough in this situation to tell life stories and maybe that was the purpose, but you started slowly feeling a little at ease. So much so that you gained the courage to ask the question you were scared of.
“What were you in there for?”
You had to know. You couldn’t have a conversation with him, you couldn’t not feel uncomfortable and uneasy without at least knowing.
There was silence, and the water turned off.
    “Murder.”
Your eyes widened from the nth time that night and you felt all blood be drained from your body. The sense of fear and anxiety washed over you once more, and you didn’t know how to react. Should you run? Should you stay? Should you speak, or should you be quiet?
A little childish giggle sounded in the bathroom almost forcing you to look behind. He pulled the shower curtain to the side, and although this man was naked from head to toe right in front of you, your eyes were glued to his face. The giggling was creepy, you hated it.
“I’m joking, I went in for drug abuse and distribution.”
You took a deep, shaky breath and closed your eyes, letting your head fall forward. You shed a couple of tears out of stress and relief.
“You… fucking idiot.” You cursed at him, still feeling a little lightheaded.
He giggled once more and wrapped a towel around his waist, after roaming about the bathroom looking for one.
“Why… Did you have blood all over you then?”
He pointed at his abdomen, where a deep cut that your eyes had completely missed stood.
“It was mine. Mostly… Listen escaping prison isn’t that easy and there’s trap wire and people shooting, if you’re not bleeding it’s because you’re Michael Scofield, and sadly we’re all kind of stupid.”
Although he moved like the wound didn’t hurt, you couldn’t help but worry about it. You pointed at the ripped flesh.
“Can I… Can I fix it for you?”
He cocked his head to the side as he looked at you, silently questioning himself as to why you would want to help him. He shrugged, nevertheless. He wasn’t about to decline help…
   “I’d like that.”
He tied the towel tighter around his hips so it wouldn’t fall, and sat down on the toilet you were previously resting on. You reached for the cabinet over the sink and took the medical supplies from it.
“This is going to hurt a bit so just, distract yourself by telling me about you.”
The male scoffed at your words.
“I’ve been to prison, I don’t think I’ll be hurt by- oh f-fuck!”
You giggled at his little curse as you pressed the gauze with hydrogen peroxide against his wounded skin.
He rested his head against the wall and flexed his abdomen.
“O-okay so, my name is San I’ve been in there for 2 years and- fucking Hell go easy on me!”
You giggled and mumbled a soft ‘sorry’ as you listened to his stories. You tried very hard to focus on your job, but your eyes would sometimes wander around his torso and covered thighs.
“I uh, I started selling drugs when I was eighteen, I got thrown out of the orphanage and my little sister came with me, and I wanted to make good money so she could go to university.” he paused for a second, wincing as you switched products “It was fine for a while, I made some friends there which was nice. I never really had friends, cause I kept moving from the orphanage to foster houses back and forth, so I never stayed in one place long enough to make lasting friendships… B-but it didn’t go so well cause I got caught in a swoop and the eight of us went in.”
When he finished the story you had no idea what to say… You felt a little bad about what he had just told you.
   “I’m sorry…”
“It’s fine, life isn’t always kind. Plus,” he stopped to grab your chin and bring your gaze up to his “I never said I was a good person, doll. I just said I was tryna get my sister to a better place.”
You stared into his eyes for a second, before snapping back to reality. You stood up and mumbled something along the lines of ‘I’ll get you some clothes’ as you walked off.
Some of your larger garments fit him quite well. A pair of large, black joggers and a yellow hoodie that looked stupidly big on you. He had to go commando however, since you didn’t happen to have a pair of boxers lying around.
You set up the couch for him to sleep in as you weren’t about to give up your bed for an inmate that had just broken in, but he seemed pretty content in the comfort of your couch.
“You sure you don’t need some company in there, doll?”
You chuckled at his bold attempt and pressed your tongue against the inside of your cheek.
“Yes San, I’d rather keep the convict at least one hallway away.” You joked.
Although you felt a little more comfortable around him, knowing that he wasn’t 100% a scumbag, you couldn’t let your guard down.
Your theory was proven when you woke up not much later after you fell asleep with a shadow looking straight at you from the doorway. Not remembering that you had a guest, you yelled.
He immediately came rushing to your side and shut you up with his hand.
“Why did you scream!?” San asked, panicking.
You removed his hand from your face harshly.
“Because a huge shadow man was standing in my doorway like a lunatic! What are you doing!?”
  “It’s… It’s 7am I’m hungry.”
You shot daggers at him through your sleepy, hooded eyes.
  “Do you not sleep?”
“Not really…  We have a lot of sleep deprivation in there.”
Somehow he had this habit of making you do things by making you feel bad. And this was no exception.
You groaned and dragged yourself off of the bed, feeling kind of embarrassed about how terrible you looked compared to him. Although his hair was messy, it still made him look good, as it further defined his jawline.
You didn’t know what he wanted to eat, so you just pointed at your cabinets and began teaching him what was inside of each of them.
As you did all of this, you realized how often he’d brush his dark locks back, in order to get them out of his face. You looked at your wrist and surely enough there was a spare hair tie on it. You offered it to San, who gladly accepted the item and tied his hair in a small ponytail.
You started walking back to your bedroom, to resume your interrupted sleep, but a pertinent question popped in your mind, and sleep was no longer your biggest preoccupation.
You turned around and walked back to the kitchen, to find San shoving his hand down the cereal box and eating it dry.
“San… What’s your plan here? I mean, in the long run. You can’t just crash in my sofa forever.”
The male in question looked at you, a suggestive gaze playing in his eyes.
“I can always crash on your bed.” He wiggled his eyebrows at you as he said this.
“I’m serious, San. This can be really problematic for me! Do you realize the trouble this could put me in? If someone finds out you’re here I’ll have so many legal complications! I’m on the fourth floor, why did you even choose my apartment!?”
San went quiet for a second and looked at the floor.
   “You’re the 69th apartment…” He replied quietly.
You rolled your eyes and turned around, stressed out about his response, while rubbing your temples.
Before you could get very far, however, the man grabbed your wrist and made you turn around.
“You’re right, I’m sorry… We agreed to meet up in an abandoned building a couple blocks down from where we lived. We needed to lay low for at least a couple of hours. I got lucky I managed to lose the coppers, but I don’t know about them…”
He had sat down by the dining table and buried his head in his hands. For some reason,
you felt as if you should comfort him, so you approached the male softly and pet his head slowly.
“I can try to help with the smaller things!”
But little did you know that that statement would soon come back to bite you in the ass, when you came home later in the day, after your very tiring night shift, and found eight very big men sitting around your living room, just chatting it up as if it was their own house.
Ignoring the possibly dangerous men sprawled on your floor and couch, you closed the door and walked towards San.
“What… The fuck.” You said through gritted teeth, trying to remain calm.
“Well, you said you could help with the smaller things, and that side of the town was flooding with cops looking for us, so I figured we could come here to lay low!” He said, gesturing to his friends.
You closed your eyes and inhaled deeply.
“When I said small things I meant maybe food or warm water to shower with. I didn’t mean I’d be the shelter for eight hooligans!”
“What did you just call us?” One of them calmly asked.
You looked behind San to face the bleached haired male, who had a mixture of angry and offended on his face. It suddenly hit you that all of these escapee inmates were in your house, staring at you as you insulted them, and nervous tears started brimming in your eyes.
“I-I’m sorry Sir, but you are sitting on my rug and you came from jail I think I’m entitled to be upset right now.” You told him, holding up your index finger.
“Listen I’m sorry but overstaying my welcome-”
     “Oh, you think you’re overstaying!?”
Already sick of your snappy attitude, San gripped your arm and pushed you back against the wall, causing you to wince and drop your keys. His face was millimeters away from yours, so close you could feel his breath on you.
“Listen doll, I don’t think anybody wants eight wanted criminals in their living room but you don’t have a choice, okay!? Neither of us would be here if we had a better choice but we fucking don’t, so why don’t you make this easier for all of us and cooperate?”
You had no choice but to nod, as you swallowed nervously. San let go of you and sighed, disappointed that he had to resource to violence.
There was an awkward silence, that the male you had known the longest felt the obligation to fill.
“So, uhm, these are my friends… “ He said and began introducing them one by one.
Some of the men remained expressionless, only giving you a nod as a greeting, while a couple smiled politely and the rest chimed a small ‘hello’.
“Did you… All go in for the same thing?”
“Friendship goals, right?” The male you now knew to be named Mingi said, stealing a smile out of you.
There was the heavy silence again… And you searched deep in your head for what could solve the awkwardness.
“Are you guys hungry? I don’t have enough food here but I could go out and buy some chicken. I don’t think it’s safe to have people deliver.”
They all agreed and so you went on your way, to buy food for all the unwanted guests. It was probably a bad idea to go out on your own and carry all this chicken and alcohol (that you bought hoping that the eight men would become bubblier and less threatening after consuming it) but you still thought that was a better scenario than being caught in public with a wanted criminal. So after about forty-five minutes of struggling, you managed to get into the house with three huge bags: two for the chicken and one for the drinks.
Their eyes all lit up once you stepped foot inside of the house and suddenly they resembled little kids. The men instantly attacked the food, proceeding to hurriedly unwrap the chicken.
“Damn Y/N, were you in jail too?” San asked when he saw you hungrily devour the food. It seemed like you too hadn’t eaten anything that good in years.
You quickly flipped him off and continued eating.
Your speculations were correct, and as the empty alcohol bottles started piling up, the room started echoing with happy chatter and laughter.
All of the stress and panic about the situation started washing off from them as the hours passed by and you had to admit, hadn’t they been wanted criminals you wouldn’t have minded being a part of their odd friend group.
“H-hey Y/N, you should sit here, it’s more comfortable.” San joked with a sly smirk, as he patted his lap.
“Keep trying, lover boy.” You told him as you rolled your eyes.
San then placed his hands around your waist and pulled you to sit on his lap, keeping a slight grip on your body, soft enough for you to leave if you were uncomfortable.
“Was this a good enough try, doll?” He whispered in your ear.
You said nothing, and your silence made him chuckle as he pulled you back, until your back hit his chest. Somehow he was right. It did feel more comfortable… And maybe it was the alcohol, or the fact that San was actually insanely hot, but all of the tension left in your body evaporated, and you felt yourself melt into his touch.
All of the sounds started fading into the background and you didn’t even acknowledge the rest of the boys, as all you could feel was the way San was drawing shapes on your thighs with his long fingers, and how you wanted them a little farther up your body. You pressed your thighs against each other, and this action didn’t go unnoticed by San, who squeezed them tighter in his hold and groaned in your ear.
You could feel a hard-on beginning to form in San’s pants, as it began poking your ass. You shifted in his lap, causing his boner to harden by the second. He gripped his waist tighter and pressed you down on his growing problem.
“I really want you, doll, I think you want me too…” He whispered in your ear.
     “You’re imagining things San.”
He rolled his hips up and held you in place, so you could feel every curve of his fully hardened member press against you. Of course he noticed the way you inhaled shakily and giggled. Giggled.
San was indeed an intriguing person…
He kissed a couple of spots on your neck, and bit down on an area he found softer, managing to steal a small whimper out of you.
A couple of heads turned towards you and they smirked, acknowledging what was happening, but not wanting to bother or steal the moment away. They turned their attention back to the other men, leaving you two isolated once more.
“Please, let me fuck you, doll… I wanna feel how well you clench around me. Will you let me do that?”
Your mind was clouded by pleasure and curiosity, and so you stood up and grabbed his wrist, pulling him towards your bedroom, not even bothering to give him a verbal response.
The second the male heard the door click, he pushed you against it with his body and smashed his lips against yours. His hands were obsessed with your hips and thighs, constantly squeezing them as you grinded against his crotch.
He tapped the back of your legs and you wrapped them around him. San carried you to the bed as if you were made of feathers, and even though his tongue was harsh against yours, the way he let you down on the bed was soft.
The two of you only pulled away when the confinement of your clothes started becoming unbearable. You peeled the work clothes (that you had never changed from) hastily from your body. San undressed just as quickly, and he couldn’t believe his view. After all that time being incarcerated he managed to have someone so good looking so willing to fuck him… He smirked and slapped your thighs, proceeding to grab them as he kissed your jaw, then your neck, then your chest, then your stomach, only stopping when his lips were dangerously close to a place you’d be wishing for him to touch you. He stopped and looked up at you. God, he wished he could take a picture of you right now… All jittery and messy, needy and aching for his touch.
"F-Fuck San, please!“ You begged, finally, when the teasing became too much.
   "Anythin’ for you, doll."
He teased your entrance with his tongue before entering two fingers, as to prepare you for what was to come. San squeezed and bit your thighs as his fingers entered you in a high speed.
"Oh my G-God, San- I want you in me."
He groaned at your neediness, and shoved the fingers that had previously been in you past your lips.
You maintained eye contact as you sucked slowly on his digits.
San lined up his cock with your entrance and pushed into you slowly, causing you to wince slightly and bite his fingers.
The male immediately removed his hand and moved both his hands to rest on your waist.
"Y-you okay, doll?” He asked, afraid he’d hurt you.
    "Yes- yes, move…"
San bottomed out inside you with a loud groan. He didn’t move for a second, trying to take in how tight you were and how good he felt. And even though he tried to hold back by starting to thrust into you slowly, he soon lost control. His hips snapped against yours uncontrollably fast and neither of you cared if the moans and whimpers could be heard in the next room.
"S-shit, look at you doll, taking my cock like a good girl-“
You gripped his arms, digging your nails into his skin, loving the way he talked to you.
Something about seeing all of those artworks in san’s body made you feel more attracted to the male.
"You feel so good inside me Sannie.”
The pet name and the little praise caused his cock to twitch inside of you, and you could tell he was almost there, by the sloppiness of his thrusts.
You wanted to see what he looked like in pure lust, you wanted to do the dirtiest things with this man, his sinful figure bigging out someone you didn’t even know you had in you.
"I-I need to cum doll, where do you want me to-“
"Inside me! Please, please cum inside me San!” You begged as you clung onto him for dear life.
His cock twitched once more, and he looked at you with a mix of surprise and lust in his eyes.
    "Y/N are you sure cause-“
"Fucking breed me, San! I want your cum dripping out of me, please!"
The intensity of his thrusts increased as did the grip he had on you.
"You want me to breed you? Hm? Make you mine forever? Turn you into a bad girl for me? Y-you’re so dirty…”
   "Y-yes! God yes!“
"Oh f-fuck!” Was the last thing he managed to yell as he buried his member deep inside of you, shooting white spurts of cum that covered your walls.
It was the way his body trembled and the way his mouth fell open with small whimpers that caused you to climax right after him.
His sweaty body collapsed on top of yours as he slowly pulled out, and you could feel the cum drip out of your hole.
For a couple of seconds all that could be heard was the heavy panting, until San lifted his head and looked at you.
"Fuck, I guess you belong to me now…“

[PART 1] || [PART 2]
Tumblr media
The heat and natural catastrophes started rising as the years passed, and all of the nations in the world reunited the greatest people in their country to secretly come up with a solution to the world’s end. Bunkers, artificial planets, space stations… Everything was discussed with great detail, but there seemed to be no answer.
Bunkers? How long would the human race have to last in a bunker? Wouldn’t there be a lack of resources? Would the bunkers survive the threats they would be facing?
There wasn’t enough time to think about an artificial planet, let alone begin to conceive one.
A space station would have the same problems as a bunker would, with the additional problems of constantly fixing the spaceship with the few resources the race would be able to take with them.
So, in pure despair, a german scientist blurted out what would become the savior to their lives: cryo sleep.
And so after nearly a day of being stuck in the stuffy, stress-filled room the crowd of geniuses and world leaders and began working on the salvation of the human race.
There wouldn’t be enough space for everyone in the spaceships they’d create, as a matter of fact, why would there be? One would not want to re-populate the earth with the people who destroyed it… So each government made a list, of scientists, biologists, farmers, doctors… Everyone deemed essential for survival on earth.
The spaceships would be launched out in space all at the same time, however, every 100 years one would be awoken and would descend down to earth. If it was survivable, they would contact the other spaceships through the communication systems implemented on each ship, if not, they would die and the next ship would come 100 years after.
And once everything was done and ready to go, a new uproar started.
Who would board the first ships, which were, undoubtedly, the most dangerous? How would the groups be divided?
“The Russians are not boarding after us. What gives them the right!? Are the lives of the Americans less worth it!?”
Profanities and insults echoed around the gigantic, Victorian room. The delicately sculpted walls and columns, carefully painted high ceilings and classic decorations certainly didn’t match the lack of respect and class of nearly every man and woman present.
It seemed impossible to reach a consent. Some leaders wanted a spaceship for their people only, as they thought it would agree easily since their mindsets were very similar, and the chances of disagreement would be less. However, others debated that it would be better to have a mixture of knowledge and ways of thinking from different regions.
Nonetheless, the wiser populations created an alliance whilst all of them discussed loudly, deciding to leave the most problematic nations go in the first ship. If they didn’t agree they simply wouldn’t board.
There were twelve ships on what became the Mission Restituimus. Iwen Restituimus, Helles Restituimus, Mosco Restituimus, Quitela Restituimus, Arak Restituimus, Champa Restituimus, Beerus Restituimus and Liquir Restituimus. Each of them named after each of the gods of destruction, as a punishment, as a reminder of what they had previously caused. Destruction upon Earth.
And so, as cruel as it might have been, all of the leaders and people chosen to go boarded the ships, leaving the rest of the world to die without any help.
A couple of years past and most of the remaining humans were wiped out. The water level rose, the plants died, and consequently so did the animals. With the lack of food and hydration, the race became weaker, and the last heatwave sent whatever was left of them to a better place.
   100 years passed… 200 years passed… 300 years past…
25% of what was left of humanity was wiped out almost instantly as they set foot on the ground. Some being able to survive a couple of days, some a couple of weeks… It wasn’t until Mosco R. that there was a chance for humans.
They were alive long enough to determine what wasn’t right with the atmosphere around them and what could possibly be harmful, so they could find a way around it. Months had passed and the crew, that stood on the reviving planet in good health, and they still hadn’t called the rest of the ships.
People started wondering why the assigned captain of the team hadn’t made that decision yet.
“Dr. Vorderbruggen, I feel it is safe for us to call the rest of us down onto Earth.” One of the many geologists aboard asked.
The tall, skinny woman with permanently disheveled hair took a good look at the male and pushed her thick glasses up her nose.
   “What if we didn’t?”
All of the heads present in the room turned to face her in confusion. The woman pulled out a book. One that seemed to have had a life as rough as theirs. She threw it in the middle of the makeshift table they had in the small, unstable shed outside of the spaceship.
They all looked at it for a second before looking at her, as if saying ‘are we supposed to know by looking at it?’.
She smirked before speaking, creating an eerie atmosphere that made most of the present people quite uncomfortable.
“How would you like to have an infinite life?”
There was an immediate split reaction in the crowd. Some looked on, interested, and others were reluctant about her words.
“I had previously been researching a way for humans to live longer, but then the Earth was destroyed. However this past month I’ve been studying it relentlessly and I believe I found a way to keep our conscience alive and our hearts beating forever.”
    Silence.
The silence in the room was heavy. Playing with human life and modifying it was dangerous…
“But, the bodies… What about the bodies? They’ll get older and eventually rot, won’t they?”
The scientist walked away from the chair and circled the red button that allowed them to communicate with the other ships with her slim finger.
“That’s where our colleagues enter. We can’t call them yet because we’ll need their bodies. I’m working on finding out how but I’m so, so close. Of course, I’ll need the help of others and it needs some perfecting and some extra details, but it’s doable. Definitely doable.”
The geologist that had initially asked looked around. He couldn’t believe people were actually considering taking other people’s bodies for their own sake....
“But Doctor, won’t that have moral implications? It’s the lives of other people! We can’t kill them for our lives to be perpetuated!”
She looked towards the man threateningly.
“Dr. Bankole, what caused the last world to collapse?”
     The man hesitated.
     “Uneducated individuals.” He answered, confidently.
“Our differences. It was our differences, the divergent ways in which we were raised. There won’t ever be any differences if we maintain our people. There won’t be any wars, there won’t be any conflicts, and we can rebuild our planet. The more people we welcome, the more chance there will be for our demise to begin once more.”
The geologist refused to accept it. He took a couple of seconds to process her words, before launching himself towards the button in a fit of desperation. The doctor tried his best to save humanity, but unfortunately the crowd who agreed with the woman held him down. She smirked, knowing that her plan would be followed along.
And so it was. For hundreds and hundreds of years the bodies of the crews who arrived down on Earth would be replaced with theirs. Anyone who disagreed with the plan was executed on sight, as they couldn’t afford to have any conflicts at this point.
The new ships who arrived on Earth would always be confused. There were humans? So why hadn’t they been called? But of course, the residents would tell them that there was a malfunction in the system, and before the newcomers could question it or find out about the truth their bodies would be taken to what they called ‘The Ceremony’.
This went on for centuries and centuries on end, each passing year humanity became more robotic and synthetic. That was, until Liquir Restitiumus: the very last one.
It came down through the sky loudly, ripping through the atmosphere with immense force. The thrusters cause the small particles of dirt and little bits of rocks to disperse underneath the machine, and, when it finally landed with a violent ‘thud’, the crew stepped out. They all had their fingers crossed, as they didn’t want to be the only ones there. They wished more of them had survived.
  “Liquir! Brothers and sisters welcome!”
Their smiles widened, as they realized they weren’t alone and that Earth was finally habitable. A man, no older than fifty, greeted them. He wore a long, pink tunic decorated with what seemed like gold-painted branches, and a green sash with some letters painted on.
Yunho, a young philosopher that was among others, frowned. How long had they been among the stars? Had it been only 100 years? The way the man spoke, the way he dressed… It seemed as if they had created a cult in the relatively short amount of time they had been asleep. However, he said nothing. Yunho was more of an observer, he liked to collect information and think, create theories and hypotheses.
“We were to call you, however one of our people destroyed the mainframe since he disagreed with bringing others over… We are Beerus, the ship just before you, unfortunately no other ships before us survived…” The male lied, as he guided the crowd as if they were their sheep.
Everyone took the time to listen, wanting to gather all of the information they were missing.
After just a couple of minutes of walking they arrived at a rather humble camp. There were small, colourful houses built on top of trees, almost morphing with them had it not been for the flashy colours, and some big buildings on the floor.
“The four buildings down here are the storage houses, the hospital and the Hall. Up on the trees are the houses of my people. We decided it would be best to live where less creatures would reach us, but fortunately there aren’t many predators as of right now.”
   “Your… people?”
“Yes, me and my wife were chosen as the representatives of our community. She was the commander of Beerus and so we decided unanimously that she should remain in power.”
Yunho frowned. He thought that the commander of Beerus was a young man… Actually he was pretty sure it was a young man. Yes… He remembered because the male seemed about his age, and he was surprised to see someone as young as him be chosen for the mission. Yunho remembered feeling sad because in another situation maybe they could have been friends, but they were instead being sent to their death (most possibly).
   Still, he kept quiet.
“I, Samuel, welcome you to Regnum de Caelo in the name of all of our community. I hope you are able to live happily here. The welcome ceremony is in about a week. We need some time for preparations! We will be taking your sizes for some fitting clothing and we will be running some tests to assign you a position, up until then, feel most welcome, brothers and sisters.”
The man wasn’t lying. They did need to take their sizes and run some tests, but not for the reasons he had stated. They ran these tests to make sure the new bodies were assigned to the correct person. Some of them only needed new arms, some of them requested bigger legs, and the couple in charge took care of that for their people.
Yunho roamed around the strange place. It was home, but it didn’t feel like home. At some point he felt like his cryo chamber was more home-like than this eerie place… It looked like something very creepy that they had splashed some colour on to try their best and conceal the actual appearance of the place.
“Hello young man.” A woman greeted, as she approached him.
She was much smaller, and had thick, black hair, that she moved out of her eyes so she could properly examine the male in front of him. Her clothes were very much like the previous man’s, the only difference being the colour pattern.
   “Hi.”
Yunho wasn’t very friendly in uncomfortable situations, and although he tried to shoot her his best smile, he knew he had failed. The woman didn’t seem to care, as she went on and on about how amazing the ‘New Earth’ was.
From his periferal, Yunho could see someone peeking at him through the window of the so-called Hall, but he paid him no mind. He was a newcomer, people ought to stare.
“Ma’am, if you don’t mind me asking, you developed a new whole type of hierarchy in just 100 years?”
She cocked her head to the side.
“Yes, we did. Just like on Earth we needed someone whom we trusted and respected to set order and make decisions when needed, so who better than the person we chose as a leader for the ship team?” The lady’s lips were smiling, but her eyes looked dull, even dead.
Yunho hummed and looked at the ground, pursing his lips and furrowed his eyebrows as he tried his best to recall the launching ceremony. Each commander stood on a pedestal and introduced themselves, as they waited for the crew members to be sorted, 99 to each. He was sure the commander of Beerus was a man and not a woman. That much he knew. Because even though they had been in cryo-sleep for 1200 years, the last thing on his mind before entering the cold capsule was the boarding ceremony.
“But I was sure the commander of Beerus was a man-”
“Annie! I’m sorry I must steal him away, I would like to perform his fitting.”
Yunho looked at the male that was gripping his arm. He was able to control his facial expressions, the surprise and confusion, but he was sure that was supposed to be the commander of Beerus…
The woman gave him a weird smile, as if they were setting him up. As she walked away, the grip on Yunho’s arm grew tighter, and the other man only let go once they were by themselves, in a small room inside the Hall.
“Are you out of your fucking mind!?”
Yunho frowned, looking visibly offended at the male’s language choice.
    “Excuse me!?”
The man took a deep breath and placed his hands on his waist.
“Stop asking questions. Never ask questions, never doubt them.”
“Why? What’s going on here is really odd and-”
“It’s exactly because this place is odd that you need to keep quiet and stop doubting everything. If they think you’re onto them you won’t even make it to the Ceremony.” He explained.
“I hope you realize I have no fucking idea what’s going on and I have no clue what you’re talking about.”
The other male stopped in his tracks, closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He quickly ran towards the window, made sure no one was outside, and then closed the makeshift blinds. He repeated the process with the small door and then pulled two chairs so the pair could sit down. The man’s antics stressed out Yunho a little bit. In the beginning he was confused, but now he was bordeline scared.
“I’ll explain it to you. Just listen, ask later.”
Yunho nodded as his eyes widened, ready for the explanation.
“My name is Song Mingi, and you’re right. I was, and still am, the commander of Beerus. The crew that you see walking on Earth isn’t my crew, it’s Mosco Restituimus. When we first landed I had the same questions that you did, I kept asking around, I kept trying to understand what had happened. I’m an engineer, I even tried to go into their ship to figure out if they were telling the truth but I was caught. Two guards grabbed me and took me to a weird room, everything here seems makeshift and shitty but that room was oozing with technology that I had never seen. They strapped me down to a chair and put me to sleep. I was scared for my life when I woke up, I had no idea what they would do to me. I managed to escape, fucked up my back in an attempt to bite off one of the weird handcuffs. I freed myself from all of it and I was about to leave but I could hear someone speak at the end of the hallway. ‘Yes, he’s strapped down already and once you’re also secured we’ll begin the transfusion.’ I remember these words perfectly, they scared the shit out of me. I started panicking and sweating, but I decided that pretending I hadn’t escaped would be the best option. I placed the cuffs back in their place without strapping them, and soon enough two men came in. One laid down and I could see the other one strap him down and put him to sleep, just like he did to me. I had to take the chance. I took whatever sharp tool was in the operating table behind me and I stabbed him.” Mingi paused, he looked at Yunho, who seemed a little afraid of the way the man had just casually admitted to murder.
Mingi proceeded to explain how he interrogated the other man once woke up, and he told Yunho everything. From who these people actually were to the Ceremony.
“I felt really nervous once I left the room, I had to pretend like there was a struggle. I told them the transfusion was successful but the other subject struggled and the doctor was killed. They seemed to believe me... After all these years they’ve become icredibly smart, but they fail to recognize many human behaviours, like lying.”
Mingi could see the panic in the other male’s face growing as he finished his explanation. Before Yunho could stand up and dash, however, Mingi grabbed his shoulders.
“Why… why are you telling me this!? What the fuck am I supposed to do now!? Did you just live among those people all these years!? How did you even survive-”
“I had to go through procedures. I didn’t want to, but I don’t hate myself for doing it. It was the only way I could survive until the last ship, which was you, arrived. These people are almost 100% synthetic at this point, every single child that was born was either born dead, or with severe deformities that prevented them to be alive for longer than a couple days. I need help to save everyone. If we don’t take down the previous crew… They’ll take the last one hundred human bodies, and that will be the end.”
Yunho clenched his hands and pursed his lips. He was trying his best not to look like he was nervous, but the slight shaking and quivering didn’t help.
“How many days do we have?” He finally asked, giving Mingi the response he was waiting for.
Mingi smiled slightly, showing his small crescent eyes, that Yunho wished he could’ve seen in a scenario that wasn’t the possible ending of his kind.
“About a week. They like to get to know their future bodies before they make a decision and they also need to prepare for the Ceremony. We have about the same body structure, so it won’t seem suspicious if I walk around with you, they’ll just think I chose you.”
Yunho took a deep breath. He had no idea what he was signing up for, but he believed Mingi. The little unexplainable lies he had been told ever since he got here made him doubt this place, he didn’t feel secure, plus, the other male’s explanation made sense.
“And what do we have to do? I mean, do you have a plan?”
Mingi raised an eyebrow at the stupid question.
“I was here for over one hundred years, do you think I was just making friends?”
Yunho blushed a little at his admittedly dumb questions.
“We have to kill them all.” Mingi told him.
The male saw it coming. Of course that was it... It’s never just an on and off switch, it’s always war and death wherever they go.
    “I’m in.”

 'my jolly sailor bold’
Hongjoong’s heard perked up as he looked around for the exquisite song. He stopped for a second and became more attentive to all the sounds surrounding him, trying to listen once more to the beautiful voice, but all he could discern was the sound of the leaves hitting against each other.
   “Hongjoong what are you doing?”
The aforementioned male snapped back to reality and his gaze locked on his friend, who stared at him with a confused expression.
   “You didn’t hear that?”
Seonghwa cocked his head to the side, as if asking ‘hear what?’. Hongjoong sighed and looked down at the ground, as he resumed his walk.
   “Nevermind, let’s just head back…”
Seonghwa gave him a judging look but walked alongside him anyway.
The younger male couldn’t take the melody off of his head as they headed back to camp. It was so… perfect. It was a lullaby-like song that anyone would be enticed and hypnotized by. There was no reason for the man to feel like this, he had heard beautiful voices countless times during his career, so why did he want to hear that particular one, over, and over and over again?
As the night went on and the sky became painted with stars, he slowly became more addicted to the song.
“Hongjoong what the fuck are you singing? You’ve been singing that one line for hours now.” Yeosang asked as he threw more fire in the wood.
The short male was brought back to reality, and he pouted as he realized his marshmallow was way past burnt. He sighed and threw the soft snack into the fire.
“I don’t know, I heard someone sing it…” He explained, as he placed another marshmallow on his stick and approached it to the firepit.
The rest of the members didn’t quite appreciate the ominosity of Hongjoong’s statement.
“You heard someone sing it? Like, here? In the middle of the woods? Should we be scared?” Wooyoung asked, moving his hands in circles, gesturing to all of the area surrounding them.
Yunho reassuringly placed his palm on Wooyoung’s thigh, and squeezed it.
“Don’t worry, we’re fine. This lake is famous for being big, a lot of people come by.”
Wooyoung looked at the older male and pursed his lips together, as he nodded slowly. His eyes focused back on the fire.
    “I guess you’re right.”
There were a couple of seconds of silence, before Seonghwa spoke up, remembering the scene from before.
“Was it that what you heard when we were coming back here from the van?”
“Yeah, it’s weird but it sounded like it came from the lake…” Hongjoong replied, recollecting all of the details from the afternoon.
     Jongho furrowed his eyebrows.
“The lake? It’s October, who would go for a dip in the middle of Autumn?”
“You know as much as me, but it was a girl’s voice and-”
“Oh, that’s what this is about, a girl.” San joked, poking his older friend’s side.
Surely enough, San earned a slap to the back of the head for mocking him like that. Hongjoong, on the other hand, sighed and stood up.
“I think I’m going to sleep, I’m tired of having this song in my head playing on repeat, good night.” He said, finally, as he popped one last marshmallow in his mouth, then licking all of the remainings off of his fingers.
He went into the tent he shared with Seonghwa and Mingi (he had lost rock, paper, scissors and to his dismay, that would mean they would have to sleep alongside the messy, fidgety giant) and laid on the not-so-comfortable thin mattress they had brought for the sake of Mingi’s back.
Hongjoong groaned as he laid on his side and pulled the sleeping bag over his body.
“Ok now, sleep.” The male mumbled to himself.
And after a long day of cooking, setting up camp, and carrying things back and forward from the van, the tiredness got the best of him and he fell asleep in no time. The deep slumber lasted no longer than three hours, however.
He woke up suddenly and sat up straight in the mattress. It was completely dark. The light from the fire outside was no more and he was met with two sleeping bodies beside him. Hongjoong was wide awake, and the voice that had relentlessly haunted his thoughts now called for him with the continuation of the beautiful song he yearned to hear again. There was no explaining what got over him, but Hongjoong just… followed the voice. And, as if it was controlling him, the male quietly exited the tent and walked through the thick wooded area.
All that could be heard were the gusts of wind whistling in the air, some night-birds chirping, and the sound of Hongjoong’s heavy footsteps stepping on dry leaves and sticks. He unknowingly headed to the shore of the lake, and just then, the song got louder and louder, as if it was approaching him.
Hongjoong stared at the sparkling moonlit water, and he could swear he saw an enormous fish dive into it, the moonlight reflecting off of its tail. He closed his eyes and breathed in the cold air that hit his face.
“My heart is pierced by Cupid, I disdain all glittering gold there is nothing can console me, but my jolly sailor bold…”
This… sound. It wasn’t a song anymore, it was and addicting sound that pulled Hongjoong closer and closer. He stepped forward slowly until he fell.
His foot slipped on the muddy edge of the land and he fell into the icy water, and just then, it was as if he had woken up from a trance. Hongjoong’s previous calm demeanor was long gone and he was now choking on the sweet water, flailing his arms around in stress and despair. He had difficulty to breathe and it was as if he had forgotten how to swim. Soon enough, he lost all strength in his body, and his vision became blurry. His body started sinking, and he saw less and less. Before everything went dark, however, he felt himself being pulled farther down, but there was nothing he could do.
Tumblr media
  “There he is!”
Hongjoong woke up, shivering and in pain, covered in dirt and leaves. He rolled his body so he’d be facing up, but he couldn’t move. Three boys circled around him, and Hongjoong weakly opened his eyes, just to close them again after the extreme sunlight hit his puffy, red eyes.
“Hongjoong are you okay!? What happened!?” Seonghwa asked, carefully observing his body, afraid that if he touched him, he’d be hurting his leader.
The older male only got a couple of coughs in response, as Hongjoong couldn’t bring himself to reply. Seonghwa and Jongho exchanged worried glances, before the latter delicately picked up the older, bridal style, and walked back to camp slowly. Once they arrived all eyes turned to them, relieved that they had found Hongjoong, but concerned about his state.
Yeosang looked at Yunho, who had also gone with the duo, with a questioning look. The taller shrugged, as none of them knew what had happened.
Jongho laid his leader back onto his mattress, and he immediately clung onto the warm sleeping bag.
They were all worried sick for Hongjoong, but they didn’t want to bother him then. They left the boy and went to sit around the extinguished fire pit. All seven of them were silent. No one could guess what happened. Why did he leave in the middle of the night, why was he by the river, why were his clothes damp, and why couldn’t he move?
A couple of hours passed until Hongjoong gave another sign of life.
The boys were chatting when they were cut off by a loud groan, and some shuffling inside the tent. Seonghwa immediately stood up and walked towards Hongjoong, but when he got near the tent the younger male walked out, limping slightly.
“Hey, hey, calm down, I’ll help you out…”
Seonghwa put Hongjoong’s arm around his own shoulders and his arm around the smaller’s waist, as he helped him walk to the nearest chair.
“Hongjoong what happened!?” Mingi questioned as soon as Hongjoong was comfortable.
The latter threw his head back and sighed.
“I… I don’t know. I remember waking up in the middle of the night and walking towards the lake for some reason, I slipped and fell… After that, it’s all blank.” Hongjoong told them, as he recalled the previous night’s events.
“Why would you go to the lake at night?” Wooyoung asked.
“I said I don’t fucking know!” He replied bluntly, becoming frustrated at himself, for not knowing what had happened after desperately trying to remeber the details of his near death experience.
It was silent for a while. None of them felt like talking and the small camping trip had kind of been ruined.
Hongjoong moved his legs and immediately winced in pain, as his ankles started aching. He found this weird… He could have sprained an ankle, but both?
He bent over and pulled his joggers up until his calves. His eyes widened, as he noticed a continuous purple mark on his legs, almost as if something had been tightly wrapped around them. The male instantly became afraid, what the fuck had happened!?
Hongjoong hid it as quickly as he unraveled it. He really didn’t feel like getting bombarded with questions he didn’t know the answer to.
His leg wouldn’t stay still. Even though it hurt, he kept bouncing it up and down, biting his lip and staring at the floor, desperately searching for an explanation.
    A fish.
It could have been a fish.
No, it couldn’t… Whatever fish was big enough to do that to his legs, certainly wouldn’t leave him alive. And how would a fish drag him to the shore?
    A person?
A person around the sea would explain the singing he had heard!
But how would they see him? He remembers going down in the lake, how could someone spot him, in the dead of the night, with no light but the moon’s to help them drag Hongjoong out of the lake?
The situation was slowly driving Hongjoong insane…
He stood up and started limping towards the infamouslake, however, he was stopped by Yeosang who wouldn’t let him walk another step.
“Woah woah, where are you going?”
Hongjoong sighed and hung his head low.
    “I need to be alone…”
The boy noticed how Yeosang looked towards the rest of the members, as if asking for permission to let him pass.
“Come on I’m not a kid… What happened was an accident, I can take care of myself!”
Much against their will, the boys let him go for his walk.
Hongjoong walked for a couple of minutes until he reached his destination. He looked at the shiny water, that had a mix of green and blue colours.
He clenched his fists beside his body.
“Who are you!? What did you do to me!? What the fuck is happening!? Why can no one hear you, why did I come out here, what even are you!?” He yelled out, in pure despair.
He was left there, with tears in his eyes and breathing heavily..
As if on cue, a fishtail popped out of the water. A beautiful, pearly white tail with hues of blue. Hongjoong’s eyes widened.
   It was huge.
The water started moving, and there was a trail rapidly heading towards him. Hongjoong stepped back quickly. He tripped on his feet, as he wasn’t in the best of conditions, and winced as he fell on his butt, but it didn’t stop him from backing up against a nearby tree.
From the water, a woman-like creature shyly emerged.
Hongjoong’s eyes were fixated on her.
She was of an unbelievable beauty. Big, shiny eyes, completely white, sandy blonde, wavy hair that fell down to her elbows, small lips that always seemed to be puckering, and a sharp chin and jawline. There were small pearls and algae in her entangled hair, and Hongjoong noticed shiny scales coming up her neck.
She tilted her head slightly, as if waiting for Hongjoong to do something, but he didn’t budge.
    “My jolly sailor boat…”
Although she didn’t sing it, she simply said those words, he perfectly recognized them, as they had been playing over and over on his head.
“Is it… It is! It’s you! B-but what are you!?”
There was no correct way to react. He was panicking, he was nervous, yet he was mesmerized and fascinated.
She smiled, flaunting her sharp teeth, and showed her enormous tail.
    “A mermaid…” Hongjoong concluded.
The woman laughed, and somehow even her laugh sounded melodic.
    “A Siren.” She corrected.
Hongjoong wondered what the difference was, but he didn’t dare ask. He really didn’t want to see what the sharp teeth were for.
He pulled up his pants once more.
“D-did you do this?” He asked.
She nodded, although she looked apologetic.
“I don’t get it. Were you… going to eat me? Were you going to kill me? Why did you do this?”
The Siren was silent. She obviously wasn’t of many words… Hongjoong didn’t push it, but he also didn’t say anything else.
“I was going to…” The gills on her neck flexed as she swallowed.
    “Well, why didn’t you?”
The questioned amused her. The woman figured that he would run the second he found out about her past intentions, but he remained where he was…
    “Your face.”
Hongjoong cocked an eyebrow, not quite understand what she meant. He brought his fingers up to his own face, caressing it confusedly.
“You’re… beautiful. Out of all the men I’ve lured, out of all the men I’ve tricked, I’ve never seen one quite like you. Your features resemble ones of a siren, if I’m being honest. Puckered lips, perfectly shaped nope, sharp jawline… I fell in love with your face, I couldn’t kill you as I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to see you ever again.”
He was clearly taken aback by the whole situation, but very, very flattered.
The two exchanged fiery glances, not sure of what to do next.
“My heart is pierced by Cupid…” She began, making Hongjoong close his eyes and lean in, as if that would make him hear better “... I disdain all glittering gold, there is nothing can console me but my jolly sailor bold.”
Yes, that was it, that was definitely it. That was the hypnotizing melody he yearned to listen to once more. When he opened his eyes, the Siren was holding herself up, with her torso fully out of the water. Hongjoong could see the membranes between her fingers, the long, threatening fingernails, and the white and blue-ish fins perking out of her arms, moving up and down.
“Does my body interest you?” She asked.
Hongjoong smirked and carefully approached the Siren.
    “It amazes me…”
He was a little hesitant as he came closer, but the Siren reassured him.
“I won’t hurt you, if I wanted to I would have done so.”
She was right. Hongjoong crawled in her direction, until they were close enough so he could smell the sea in her hair. He knelt in front of the creature, admiring her delicate features up close. Her body and features were all lengthy and scary, but her face, the important element to lure in her prey, that was unbearably alluring.
“What’s your name, sailor?” The Siren asked as she inched closer.
Hongjoong mimicked her actions, and he could soon feel her breathing hitting against his skin.
     “I’m Hongjoong.”
The Siren ran her fingers up Hongjoong’s half-exposed arm. He expected for it to feel… wet and fishy. But it felt just like another human.
     “I have never kissed a human before…”
     “Well, I’ve never kissed a Siren before…”
The woman smiled slightly at the joke. When their lips brushed past each other, they pulled away slightly. It was as if there was a spark as they touched… They approached once more, this time fully connecting their lips in what could only be described as the ghastliest, most beautiful kiss.
It was as if they belonged like that, astray from their own species, in each other’s embrace. But they knew it wasn’t true.
Somehow Hongjoong wasn’t scared when he pulled away and stared into those white eyes. He actually found an odd beauty in them.
The romantic escapade was cut off by a yelling voice in the distance.
    “Hongjoong!”
The male looked behind him. His friend couldn’t be seen, but the sound of leaves and sticks cracking and breaking became louder by the second.
     “Don’t go!” Hongjoong begged.
     “I mustn’t be seen… Please don’t speak of me!”
Hongjoong didn’t want to let her go… He had just found her!
“Will… Will we see each other again?”
The woman smiled fondly and she backed away in the water.
“Come visit me, and call for Aglaope once you reach the lake.”
Hongjoong only nodded as he watched her sink in the clear blue water.
“I’ll be thinking of you, my sailor…”
She completely disappeared, just as Yunho got to his friend.
“We started getting worried Joong… Let’s head back, this place doesn’t bring great memories.”
Yunho helped Hongjoong up, who just let himself be maneuvered by the older man, as he was too fixated in the lake.
They both started walking away, with a casual chatter.
Before they left, however, Hongjoong glanced over his shoulder, and he saw the beautiful coloured tail, illuminated by the rays of the sun, wave in the distance. Not a goodbye, but a ‘until some day’.
And Hongjoong smiled, restlessly awaiting the day when he could come back.
