Your best friend but more. - A Jongseob one shot

Hello!!

I wrote this as a request from one of my best friend who is a baby P1ece. I do not stan p1harmony, so please keep in mind that mostly all of the things I wrote about Jongseob’s character are made up from me. Also I wrote it based on my friend’s description of him, she is a baby p1ece, sometimes she could be wrong so if anything does not make sens, try not to be rude about it!

Summary: Halloween is a bit shitty this year, it’s normally your favourite holiday but not this year, not while you aren’t in your native country (even tho you love Seoul), and surely not when your best friend had to work this night of the year. Or at least it wasn’t until your best friend shift is finally over!

Type: soft, a tiny tiny bit of angst, cliche, y/n is genderless, y/n is disabled (not a big part of the plot), gamer Jongseob, a tiny bit of swearing but in a friendly way, bsf to lover, cliche comfort weather that we all like, small fanfic.

An: I normally proof read it but I’m not really really sure it’s clear of any mistakes, please understand that I’m French so I sometimes mess up with my english!

October 31 was supposed to be the best night of your year. Your not really found of the scary concept but it’s more about the vibe, the candles and the pumpkins, the little kids running from a house to the other in attempt to have some sweets. You just love fall in general with the yellowish leaves and the big pin trees and the chilly weather. I mean it’s usually a big deal for you. But this year it was different, maybe it’s because it’s the first year where you are in Korea and even tho you didn’t liked being in France, you missed your friends, especially today. But it was also because Jongseob, your best friend, is working tonight. So now you’re alone waiting for his shift to be over.

At least, it was a rainy day, you are in your favourite plaid sitting by your window, watching the leaves fall from the trees. It is comforting in a way, you have one of your numerous playlists on, one for those comfy days while it’s raining, and you’ve lightened some candles too. Seoul is always beautiful at night times, but today it seems even more special.

You sincerely don’t feel the time pass, even if you had the time to make a hot chocolate, and soon enough, Jongseob was coming home. Him being your best friend means him having your apartment keys and entering without even ringing the bell. To be honest you’re quite used to this. However, you are so caught up in your feelings and the coziness of the moment that, this time, you don’t hear when he opens the door, his bear-like dog following him.

“Y/n?”

Even if he surprised you, his voice was calm, almost a whisper. Without thinking twice you walk to him, the big plaid covering your entire self, and you hug him. The biggest hug you probably had with him. It’s not like you mind, you love hugs and Seob, as you like to call him, gives you the best warm hugs. And no need to mention the huge crush you have on him, you actually fell for him at first sight but we won’t talk about that.

“Hey, big hug huh? Okay baby, I know you like to cuddle but you also know that you can’t stay that long on your legs. Nice to see the improvement tho!”

Yeah, I forgot to mention that you’re disabled (but you don’t really like that word), still you improved a lot since your Teenage hood and you can now go on little walks around your house, but always with Jungseob. This boy always have the best words.

“Kay, let’s continue this big cuddle session on the bed ! But at one condition tho…

-mmh, what do you want seobie? “ your voice isn’t that clear since you’re under the big ass plaid.

“We’re sharing the fucking plaid! “ you giggle “There is no way I’m freezing my ass off while you get to have cuddles AND the big plaid. Uhuh, no freaking way young lady.

-tsk, you always ask for shit, why can’t you accept my love without any kind of gift in exchange” you say that while covering the both of you in the plaid.

“Kay stupid ass, now that I gave you what you want, tsk, put on Netflix please!!

-No no no baby, today, we’re playing my fav video game, there’s this new update for Halloween, and now some of the characters have like Halloween’s outfits and there’s a new map, ain’t no way I’m missing….WE ARE missing on this super cool update.”

He always look so happy about his video games, so you obviously cannot say no to him. Plus you like this game, even if you somehow don’t understand like half of the things.

You spend like hours playing, laughing, still cuddling. I think that if someone saw that they couldn’t even understand how you managed to play cause you two always cuddle in the weirdest positions, it seems that you are sitting on his left lap but one of your feet is under his right leg and he has his two arms wrapped around your waist. Honestly, it’s giving me an headache just by trying to understand how you two are cuddling.

After those four long hours of game, you are both tired, Jongseob is pretty much used to sleep with you in your loft, so it doesn’t feel weird to see him go to the bathroom with some clothes. He’s just going to take a shower.

He is coming back, washed, with a black jogging and one of his hoodies on. He is beautiful, as always. You are already in your pyjamas, a simple jogging with one of Seob’s sweater.

As you replace yourself in Jongseob’s arms and under the covers, he is putting on The Night Before Christmas, one of the best Christmas /Halloween movies to be honest.

You slowly touch his orange/yellowish hair, massaging his scalp while we is doing the same thing on your arm. You feel safe with him, you feel safe when you are in his arms, when you can feel the vibrations of his laughters as he is making fun of Jack in some parts of the movie, you feel safe when his little dog his sitting on both of your legs and you see that Seob is smiling. You simply feel safe anytime he is near you.

And that’s how you fall asleep, slightly hearing his “I love you shorty, and tomorrow I’m gonna make you mine” but you are already in Morpheus’s arms when he slowly kisses your forehead.

You had the best night of your life and that is thanks to the young boy that is soon to be your boyfriend. He is your best friend but more.
