Keller: "Woah there, croakes, you got a temper on you! What's got you losin' your cool, man? You thinking about takin' some anger management classes?" Keller leans overs slightly to Riley, "He always like this?"
“If it weren’t for his combat ability I’d have killed him weeks ago out of frustration with his antics!” The croagunk continued ranting on as Keller’s attention turned to Riley.
“The world just seems to hate him before he has his tea.” Riley said before smirking. “Joke’s aside, he really is just a bit high-strung. But you’d be kinda pissed too if someone jumped ya while you were trying to relieve yourself.”
“-AND WHO THE HELL JUMPS A GUY DOING HIS BUSINESS!?!”

Keller @ Urami: “Now you look like someone who’s been in and out of the slammer. Ain’t that right, big guy? I bet you've been up to all sorts of trouble after you got out. What’re the odds I’m gonna end up having to throw you back in there, huh?” Keller glances at the Swampert’s suit before adding, “With your cute spandex too.”
Check out the balls, and fuzzy collar, on this dude. Urami could tell that this is the kind of cop who would do ride alongs to people and many other unsavory 'but legal if they do it' actions. This guy was part of law enforcement, so Urami already felt intense disdain for him. Insulting his aquatic combat vest, which is not cheap, also did not help. Plus it complimented his strong physique.
"I'm going to stun you fluffy throat and tell you this: no I have not." There was a smug demeanor to his expression, giving the psychic cop a sneer. "Everything I have done is legal and something that even others of your career have had a hand in. Because I was bred for illegal pokemon matches, I was not held culpable for that as under the Bred and Ensnarement act. Any pokemon involved with these matches will be put into a public adoption and if you pass a civility test you can essentially assimilate into society no legal strings attached."
Urami might have gotten some of the proper nouns involved with the legal process wrong, he was more or less correct with the core of the topic. "Not to mention, I have had cops and even other civilians actually approach me to handle matters that are part of the cops' job. They are either too short staffed, ambivalent to the problem or need something done to cover their ass. Hell I know some people in your precinct I have done business with for a number of matters."
This was not a lie. Urami had a background as a hire hand, read mercenary, which meant due to his wide range of skills he managed to make bank on. What happened with the money afterwards has varied.
"If by some coincidence I do wind up in jail and you put me away, this is what will happen," Urami paused for a moment, putting his hands in a way like he was framing a scene. "There's gonna be a knock on the door to your interrogation room and you will be called outside. In the hall there will be a mon who outranks you. First, they'll compliment you on the fine job you've done, that you're making the city a safer place, that you're to receive a commendation and a raise. And then they will tell you that I am to be released. You're going to protest, but in the end you will be told I need to be released. The reason is that if I go away, I'm taking every single cop in across multiple precincts with me."

Detective Stevens @ Baozhai: “It’s you again. Out of the city now, I see, which you probably prefer. You mentioned ‘keeping the peace’ the last time we met. I’m curious how the peace is kept where you come from? I just get the feeling that our worlds are rather different.”
"Is my distaste for cities that apparent? I'd apologize, but then again, I'm not sorry for what I believe in," Baozhai stated in a stern tone. Staring down at the humanoid Scrafty with a raised brow. Both arms crossed in front of her chest as she leaned back against a tree. "In all honesty, I doubt you more civil sort would be interested in my definition of peace, if one can even call it that. To me, peace is anathema to the concept of living while conflict is what keeps a society sharp and moving forward. However, we did have a loose set of laws to ensure anarchy did not erupt within the clan."
The ghost held up a hand, curling in her thumb and pinky finger. "There are three tiers of punishment within Sand Reaver society. Each one accounting for a multitude of factors. From the crime to the criminal."
"Tier One: This accounts for crimes on the local level. Ranging from petty theft to civil disputes that often descend into physical violence. Situations deemed not important enough to get the military or inquisition involved in, so we usually leave it to citizens to determine the nature of the punishment itself. Ranging from payments for damages owed to even some going so far as to have one's fingers cut off. Thieves in particular aren't tolerated in our clan."
"Tier Two: When a crime damages the clan in a minor way, one that isn't really disruptive, but nonetheless, takes away something deemed important or of use. Like murdering a soldier, for example. In that case, the criminal's status is reduced as a slave. Where they face the choice of either forced labor to pay off their debt or take a chance in the gladiator pits. Hoping to win their freedom early. You'd be surprised how many choose the gladiator pits."
“Tier Three: This is reserved for the most heinous of crimes. When death is the only foreseeable outcome. Yet, it will not come quick. For it would be just a waste to outright kill them with a fancy execution ceremony. Instead, the criminal is inducted into the Siege Breakers organization," Baozhai paused, a slight frown creeping upon her otherwise perfect face. "I am not a compassionate person. However, I do not envy those who end up in such a horrid position, even if they brought it upon themselves in the first place."
Letting out a sigh, the Cofagrigus returned her attention towards Stevens. "There's your answer. Regardless if you're satisfied with it or not."

Baozhai eyed the Hypno with a raised brow, a small smirk slowly creeping up her face. “Well, I may not have met you personally, per say. But I do believe I’ve met one of your associates. Scrafty. Female. Takes her job seriously, but has a bigger heart than she gives off? But I suppose you’re not wrong, I am rather unforgettable,” Baozhai stated with a flip of her long hair.
She paused, making note of the man’s curiosity towards Yemir. “That shortstack isn’t really a shortstack at all. You may find this hard to believe, but that munchkin used to be so tall, we’d barely reach her knee. However, given... unforeseen circumstances, she is now reduced in size. I can’t have that. Yemir may be an idiot, but she’s an absurdly strong idiot and I’d prefer her running at her full size if I am to accompany her. It seems like getting into fights and angering her accelerates her growing process. So I’ll simply need to piss her off or find something she can fight... Honestly, given what’s happened. I’d prefer the latter.”

Its My Bloggiversarry!
On Tuesday of October 13. I created this blog and its first post. It was fun for a while but eventually school caught up to me and I put most of my efforts there. Until May 6 2021 where I promptly announce my return. I still cant believe I’ve been doing this for a year so I just wanna thank you guys for all the support you have given to me throughout the months to make me the blog I am today.

Detective Stevens: “Oh, hello. I don’t see many Barraskewda in the city. Or Horsea. I’m sure there’s quite a few differences between living on land and in the water. Perhaps the presence of some underwater dangers, maybe other, larger sea pokemon?”
Sushi: Yeah, just living in a small lake is really dangerous. Theres Gyradoses, Drednaw and even Cramorant.
Lexi: Cramo... nice!
Sushi: Thats because you havent ended up in their mouths. Anyways yeah, waters are dangerous and I cant imagine living in the ocean.
