So here it is ✨ The first part of my webtoon/Manhwa tutorial ✨✨✌️
Remember it's only a guide with things I have learned. There is so much left unsaid that doesn't fit in a 10 slide post 👁️👄👁️
My guide is heavily influenced by manhwas in storytelling, titles, drawing style etc. but the knowledge is based on basic creation rules.
Art hack: gaffer's tape and magnets hold watercolor paper very flat on any household cutting board! #artistsoninstagram #watercolorart #anthroart #holbein #meeden #arthacks (at Wake Forest, North Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoLBQS4OsLy/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
I got sick of paying too much money for pre-lined Strathmore Bristol paper for my comics so I spent literal hours on this printable template that has the same measurements.
Anyway, I made a .psd and a .pdf to share it with the world so you can either send it straight to a printer OR import it to CSP/photoshop, etc and work over it as a guideline layer. It's drawn with non-photo blue.
Two bucks Canadian and you can copy/print it infinitely courtesy of me being a cheapskate. HAHA!
hey scott! im super excited that your on tumblr now! i love your art and you have been a inspiration for me to keep doing art!
i wanted to ask you if you had any tips for skin and layering colours for skin with watercolour! im very new to watercolours and i have seen you use them so i would just like to know what advice you have! ( any other advice for watercolours would help to! )
again i am very excited your here and i hope you have a good day :D!
I do. I made this video a couple years ago and I think that should cover what you're asking.
I made this really cool whale shark sculpture! It was super fun and pretty easy. Since moving, we have had SO MUCH CARDBOARD. I have been finding creative ways of using it in art projects instead of just throwing it away. Here is one of them! I love it.
Here is a summary of what I did
Cut out a base shape in cardboard, added spines and filled gaps with tape, completely covered it in paper mache then a layer of gesso. I painted a base coat of acrylic paint then white spots and then mod podge at the very end. Screwed in little screws with hooks and attached a wire to hang on the back.
I really like your color scheme you use for teen justice raven. the black and red looks really nice aesthetically on him. lol i would put it above his current canon outfit color which is still nice too
Ahhh thank you!! I based it off of one of the low quality cover I found with him on it and just use the blue of Supergirl’s tights and Tory’s outfit
Bc I’m lazy and it’s easy to use one color than three #arthacks
