-❤Hi There!! Not many of you know this because I mainly post crafts and photos on this blog- but this project is extremely important to me so I wanted to make a quick post about it here! I am working on a webcomic/Graphic novel @the-pomegranate-princess that means the world to me! It follows Nareh the Pomegranate Princess, the daughter of two deities, The Mother of Land and The Father of Stars, on a journey learning how to be a proper leader. Living in a land untouched by the idea of war and conquering, her focus must shift from simply being a good leader, to becoming a warrior, after learning that the changing of rule opens up an opportunity for warlords who have been eyeing the land. This story is completely immersed with themes, folktales, and mythological creatures from my Armenian culture. It surrounds ideas of culture, community, sacrifice, war, love, loss, assimilation, survival, and is, in every sense of the word, a love letter to Armenia. I would greatly appreciate anyone who would like to follow my page as I proceed on this journey! The full first book has been written, 150 pages have been sketched, and there are many many more to go!! But this is a genuine passion project of mine that I hope can touch people's hearts, Thanks for reading!!!❤-

-🌿Illustration of Nareh with backgrounds inspired by the work of Armenian artist Martiros Saryan- the way he painted Armenian landscapes and life with vibrant colors is such an important artstyle to me, and a big inspiration in terms of my characters and their culture🌿-
