If you're blind, how can you use a computer?
I can use a computer as a blind person because, as I've said before and apparently have to say again: Blindness is a spectrum. It's not 20/20 or complete darkness. I am legally blind, but still have some useable vision. ( If you must know details, I'm totally blind in one eye and have no depth-perception or peripheral vision in the other ). I use a white cane to navigate the world, and large text/zoom features to use electronics. If you have an issue with me calling myself blind, take it up with the literal team of optometrists who diagnosed me as legally blind.

wanting to show wholesome interactions between the hunter and various npcs vs wanting to stick to canon writing (nobody gives a shit about you)
Like... the Doll is "preset" to care for any dreaming hunter. Gehrman is introduced as your guide but after telling you the basics, only directs you towards optional stuff (the sheer betrayal i felt upon realizing that lmao) and fucks off to take a sad little nap for the rest of the game. I thought it'd be funny if, being part of your subconscious, you'd hear his voice in your thoughts sometimes à la Cruller in Psych0nauts - but also, you're just another hunter to him.
A few citizens are openly nice to you without ulterior motives, and most of them are outcasts like you ; Gilbert who's a fellow outsider, the Dweller ostracized for his disability (edit : his general appearance moreso and possibly his link to an abandoned place of worship as a whole), and Arianna who deals with the general stigma that comes with her profession (+ her link to Vilebloods, for those who Know). She and Adella are also grateful for you guiding them towards a safe place, nothing surprising.
Now for other hunters. I live for Gascoigne's friendly tag-along across Central Yharnam but agree with the hypothesis that it was cut to make the player feel more isolated and alone, and we know how it would end either way.
Then Djura. I raise an eyebrow whenever I see the term "befriend" for taking his deal ; yes, you'll pacify him and he'll give you cool stuff, but then will tell you to fuck off with no additional dialogue. I also wanna mention he doesn't sound the tiny bit surprised/betrayed if you break the deal, which says a lot ; to him too you are just another hunter and he knows how it usually goes with hunters. I could go on about Dju in particular but his detachment towards you is extremely understandable from his position in-game.
Eileen and Simon are recurrent encounters who are amiable by default, but even then running into them comes across as "oh hey you aren't dead yet, good for you lol" to me.
Alfred is... Alfred ? Also amiable by default, open to the point if feels out of place, and though he thanks you for getting him to the end of his questline he (supposedly) offs himself immediately afterwards, his obsession faith prevailing upon anything and anyone else. i'm at loss here sorry
This is non-exhaustive, we could speak of Valtr and Patches and Annalise and so on. but these were some characters I like to depict along the Hunter ; Gascoigne, Eileen and Djura as mentor figures, Alfred as a comrade, Simon as a companion in misery, and so on - stuff you can expect in my fanart basically - while still meeting the fate they meet in-game (except dju who's just chilling if you don't go out of your way to make it otherwise).
But in-game, you have no name that matters, and almost no ones gives you their name either, you only know them from item descriptions when it's not from a boss' health bar. You're all strangers to one another fighting and surviving from the same mess, and you - Good Hunter - are the latest wedge thrown in the gears, with no previous connection to anyone like the different members of the many factions you meet in the giant chessboard that is Yharnam and its surroundings. Still, you get those small moments of respite, and they're enough to hurt when they're taken away, sometimes by your own hand in a final act of mercy, no matter how predictable the end becomes.

I’m also new to the fandom, and late unfortunately, but I’ve been wondering, why didn’t Rapunzel have more female friends? I thought faith might have been early on in the series but she barley spoke soooo yeah… or like more women in the main friend group, instead of just one (who had to be there at first anyways since she was technically working.) A few girls in the village she might met?
The real, Doylist reason for this is because the showrunner is a) a man and expressed more than once that he was really only comfortable working from a male perspective (mostly in reference to fan complaints that the plot would have been so much more interesting if we got Arianna's perspective more), and b) really really really wanted Cassandra in the spotlight. He got mad at and literally insulting to fans who were more interested in Varian. He designed this "best friend" for Rapunzel, then filled the majority of the major players with men and boys. There was even only one female animal companion (Fidella).
Rapunzel not having any other female peers and friends to hang out with has always aggravated me. It was very unhealthy for her to put all her female friendship into one basket. Rapunzel and Cassandra had a lowkey toxic relationship, even at the start of the series, and I wish Rapunzel had had some other woman her own age to turn to and talk about things with. Someone unconnected to Cassandra and the castle altogether.

King Edmund: If it's a girl, I'm going to name her 'Kunigunde'!
Eugene: Kuni.. what? What does that even mean?
King Edmund: It means 'warrior woman'.
King Frederic: [Snorts] How obsolete! People are gonna make fun of her. I've chosen 'Auguste', it means 'majestic', an absolute perfect name for my granddaughter!
Queen Arianna: How about 'Charlotte'? It means 'Free woman', it sounds good too!
Rapunzel: It's my daughter, only I have the rightful right for naming her! I'm gonna name her 'Rosalinda', we can call her by 'Rose' then. How sweet!
Eugene: Excuse me? She is my daughter too! Although, I've gotta admit your choice is far better than dad's. He sucks at naming, gah!
King Edmund: But Horace, didn't I give you such a beautiful name?
King Frederic: [Laughing hysterically] Horace! Hehehehehe!
King Edmund: Well, at least it's better than a plant's name!
Rapunzel: Hey, I love my name!
[Bickering continued]
Two Months later.

hi hi, posting an ask to clarify a few things: apparently the budgets for v9 and the JL league were separate and the real reason for v9's delay was the transition to working at home at covid. i dont like spreading misinformation (good lord the rwby fanbase has enough of it already) so i think this was fair to bring up.
while i dont doubt the validity of the animators who worked on v9 and the JL cross over, i can't help but to feel weary due to the fact that this is freaking roosterteeth. a company notorious for their abuse of animators to the point of disability, how their shows are produced on slave labour, how they abuse their starry eye fans for cheap labour, how the higher ups of the company are very much either incompetent or rotten to the core.
how can i in good conscious give this company the benefit of the doubt that the JL crossover didnt went through the same crunch or workplace issues? sure the animators got more worked, but were you guys properly paid for it? arianna fillipini's twitlonger details the MASSIVE amount of crunch (50 hr/weeks), how the pay was still below industry standard, how the leadership in v9 didnt help the animators, how everyone got laid off cus RT taking away full time employment, and this was all during VOLUME 9. something produced in 2020-2021, not 5 years ago.
im glad the animators got a year of work, im glad they had an opportunity to network with other artists. im not upset that the JL happened, im worried that the same crunch and workplace abuse from v9 was carried over as a consequences of these crossovers being developed in house.
while its really dumb to knowingly spread misinformation of RWBY's budget and production, i cant help feel this uneasiness towards every rwby fan on twitter just taking their word that the JL was 'totally a good thing!!!' and anyone upset by how they assumed that the JL took away resources for v9 (because it happened to v6 with gray smuggling money for gen:lock) are 'stupid little haters who use the poor animators at cudgels to flame roosterteeth!!!'
am i supposed to trust the notion that suddenly all of the decades workplace abuse and mistreatment that persisted to it's latest season all went away? that suddenly the animators were given enough time and compensation for their work? that suddenly management became leagues better?
suddenly all of our concerns towards the production of RT's shows and RT as a company are nonsensical?
idk, the entire thing is really weird and the uneasiness i have towards CRWBY's production isnt exactly alleviated by the fact that the JL had a seperate budget :P

@unovaslankiite your concerns are completely valid and you're not wrong feeling this way. Even if the budgets for vol 9 and JL were separate, that doesn't make what the animators revelaed just last year what they've been through all go away. Ar*yn Tr*che (who I personally belive is an RT shill so they can keep their job) should not be treated as the only source of info. Their words mean nothing to me. Like, ok, the JL and vol 9 budgets were separate. That doesn't excuse the animation department having to work double time during covid. Yeah you want to ensure they got work, and yet they were snubbed of their overtime pay.
And you're right, why should any of us believe Rooster Teeth? They've been proven over and over again to be liars, and it really isn't hard to notice the patterns of behavior over the years. They said crunch issues in production have been resolved and that was a fucking lie. The cuts to vol 9 and the production of the JL movie sound very similar to what happened to vol 5 when Gen Lock was being made. So people are right to assume the crossover movie affected vol 9.
Pointing all of this out doesn't make you "a bad faith rwby critic" or "wanting to pin blame on crwby" as some stans like to accuse others of. People like you and I are not content with just taking Ar*yn and K*rry's words at face value so they can continue to bury the truth. The stans who try to convince themselves that MKEK and the vas of crwby are separate from RT just want to ease their guilty conscious in wanting to continue to consume rwby content.
That's why they spam #greenlightvol10 on every rwby related post they make. It's a sign of sheer copium.

A very sad Cass idea inspired by a post from @rusty-clock a couple months ago.
Many times throughout Cassandra’s life, there were tons of expeditions to go find the Lost Princess. And if she was unlucky enough, some of them happened really close to her birthday. So like a day or two before her birthday, Cap would have to go out and find the Lost Princess. And he promised to come home in time, but sometimes he didn’t. Those times he didn’t make it home for Cassandra’s birthday she would sit out alone in the courtyard all night waiting for him. To make Cass feel better, Arianna would always come out and join her with Faith, Jane, and Friedborg in toe. They all got together and baked her a cake and sang to her. It always made her feel better, and Cap did always come back with a birthday gift but it still upset her when it happened.

Aura Colours & Their Meanings In Corona
(This is lore that I created and isn't correlated with aura meanings in this world, although some of them are similar)
Red - People with red auras are the definition of passionate - they love hard and hate hard. They’re dangerous because they’re emotions are so strong and powerful. They’re fiercely protective of the ones whom they love, but ruthlessly vengeful towards the ones whom they hate. Their intensity is oftentimes alluring to many.
Characters With Red Auras - Cassandra
Orange - People with orange auras are action-oriented, impulsive, excitable, energetic, and have anger issues. They are oftentimes into sports.
Characters With Red Auras - Kiera
Yellow - People with yellow auras are bundles of sunshine. They’re kind, caring, optimistic, curious, energetic, extraverted, have extremely good hearts, and are driven to help others. However, they have a tendency to hide their true feelings under a mask of cheerfulness and put others before themselves to an unhealthy extent.

Lizzo has lodged her first legal response to the lawsuit brought by three of her former dancers.
In August they claimed they had been subjected to sexual harassment and a hostile work environment while on tour with the US singer, which she denies.
The star and her Big Grrrl Big Touring company are requesting that the court dismiss the case with prejudice, meaning that it cannot be refiled.
If they do not, the dancers are requesting a jury trial.
What are the claims?
Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez accused Lizzo - real name Melissa Jefferson - and her touring company of several allegations in the original complaint filed in a Los Angeles court.
These include claims that Lizzo pressured them to attend a sex show in Amsterdam and interact with the nude performers, and that dance team captain Shirlene Quigley repeatedly engaged in behaviour that made them feel uncomfortable.
They also accuse Lizzo of fat shaming, saying the Brit Award and Grammy-winner "called attention" to a dancer's weight gain following a performance; and that employees of the touring company singled out black dancers by accusing them of "being lazy, unprofessional and having bad attitudes".
It is also claimed that Lizzo denied dancers bathroom breaks during an "excruciating re-audition".
In the immediate aftermath of the claims, Lizzo took to social media allegations to say they were as "unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed."
She added that "sensationalised stories" were "coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted they were told their behaviour on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional", something the dancers deny.
Lizzo's dance team Big Grrrls later released a statement in support of the singer, saying they "had the time of our lives" on tour.
What are Lizzo's lawyers now saying?
Now, in a 31-point rebuttal, lodged on Wednesday, Lizzo's legal team said:
The dancers who filed the complaint "ratified, acquiesced, condoned, and/or approved of the acts" they were now complaining about.
Lizzo's alleged conduct "was undertaken in good faith and with good cause" and "undertaken for legitimate reasons reasonably related to one or more lawful business purposes".
If the dancers were harmed as alleged, they "contributed, in whole or in part," to that harm.
The dancers' claims relate to Lizzo's rights of free speech and/or religion and are therefore barred.
The dancers claims of discrimination or retaliation should be barred because any employment decisions were made "for legitimate, non-discriminatory, non-pretextual reasons", and that Lizzo and the other defendants "acted out of business necessity".
The dancers "have failed to plead and cannot establish facts sufficient to support allegations of malice, oppression or fraud".
Lizzo's spokesperson, Stefan Friedman, said in a statement that this was "the first step" of a legal process in which the star and her team "will demonstrate that they have always practised what they've preached - whether it comes to promoting body positivity, leading a safe and supportive workplace or protecting individuals from any kind of harassment."
He continued: "Any and all claims to the contrary are ridiculous, and we look forward to proving so in a court of law."
In response, the dancers' lawyer, Neama Rahmani said Lizzo's team's answer "merely consists of boilerplate objections that have nothing to do with the case".
"That said, the key takeaway is that Lizzo is agreeing to our clients' demand for a jury trial," he added.
"We look forward to presenting our case in court and letting a panel of her peers decide who is telling the truth, Lizzo and her team, who continue to shame the victims or the plaintiffs and so many others who have come forward sharing similar stories of abuse and harassment."

Earlier this month, Lizzo was sued for the second time this year by a former employee who claimed she oversaw an "unsafe, sexually charged workplace culture".
Fashion designer Asha Daniels accused the star's wardrobe manager of making "racist and fatphobic" comments and mocking black women in the entourage.
Lizzo was named as a defendant in the lawsuit, but was not directly accused of harassment.
A spokesperson for the star called the case an "absurd publicity stunt".
