「気・血・水」めぐる中庸の家って何？（1/5）

吾輩の元ルームメイトが何やらメンドクサイことを言っている。

“東洋的” “漢方医学的” 視点で計画した我が家を “「気・血・水」めぐる中庸の家” と名付けた。だって。

吾輩は、美味しいものを食べて、寝るところが有れば、それでだけで良いと思うんだけどね。

まあ一度、吾輩の元ルームメイトのウンチクに付き合ってあげてほしい。

“東洋”と“西洋”のものの見方の違いは、“空間認識” の違いなどがある。例えば、何も描かれていない空間に対して、東洋は「無いものが在る」＝“余白”“間”に「美」を見出す、西洋は「無いものは無い」＝“余白”の概念が無い。となる。

“漢方医学” と “西洋医学” の得意分野の違いは、“漢方医学” は「原因のはっきりしない病態」が得意で、自己治癒力・抵抗力を高めることが治療で “針” “灸” “漢方薬” を使って改善の手助けをする。

一方 “西洋医学” は「原因のはっきりした病態」が得意で、“検査など科学的根拠” をもって原因を治療。最先端の医療機器を用いて、投薬や手術で体の悪い部分に直接アプローチして治療する。

これを住宅に置き換えると、、、断熱性能等の数値化できる住宅やメーカーを “西洋医学的” と捉えるならば、我が家のように、断熱材は屋根以外に一切使わず、“漢方薬”を使いこなすように、木の経験を積み重ねた「木の匠」たちが木を活かして建てた家は “漢方医学的” であると思われる。

どちらが正解というのではなく私達家族には、こちらが合っている。

吾輩は猫である。名前は、タマコ。

どこで生まれたか、それは三重のとある山。

吾輩は山の中のポツンと一軒のアパートに住む人間というものに拾われた。その人間は、ある日 吾輩を車という恐ろしいものに乗せた。車の行先は、その人間の親が住む実家というところで、家という箱の中に吾輩を閉じ込めた。

そこでの暮らしは約1年ちょっと。先住猫が7匹、先住犬が2匹、そして年寄りの夫婦ふたり。縄張り争いはなかなか厳しかったが、食には困らず、夏は涼しく冬は暖かく過ごしていた。

そんなある日、突然、また車に乗せられた。今度は、吾輩ひとりではなく、吾輩以外に猫6匹、犬1匹と一緒に。なぜ猫と犬が1匹ずついないのかって？それは、虹の橋を渡ったのさ。

車から降ろされて、何やら見たこともない建物の中に入ってみると。。。木の香りがした。新しい吾輩の家であった。懐かしい匂いがした。かつて自由猫であった頃、山で嗅いだことのある匂いである。

木の香りと共に、吾輩を拾った元ルームメイトが出迎えてくれた。どうやら老夫婦ふたりと元ルームメイトも一緒に暮らすことになったらしい。

これから、この新居での暮らしの話をしよう。
