How would you rank the Pokemon champions and villain bosses?

1) N: The most written character in all of Pokémon.

2) Guzma: Nothing in Pokémon made me feel things as much as first visiting Po Town did. That plus his background tidbits form a very sympathetic loser I care for a lot.

3) Lusamine: The tragedy of her family is delightful on all of its members, but Lusamine is certainly the weakest link to it due to being more of a perpetrator than a victim. I also love both of her designs, with her Nihilego form being easily the second-best-looking Pokémon woman, behind on Valerie.

4) Maxie and Archie: Accidental comedy duo. Their goals are stupid in the most endearing and memeable ways, and their reactions to the consequences of their actions somehow still manage to be a resonating moment. Ranking them separately is silly, but if I had to, Maxie is the best for his general pretentiousness, inside jokes, and being the Jouji voice in Master Sex.

5) Blue: The rival becoming the Champion for 5 minutes is a perfect endpoint of a rival arc and every one of Blue's successors, even the ones that are better characters than him, suffer from not being the one who pulled this off. Raticate-based content is also often good.

6) Alder: A cool design can carry you a long way. Seriously, he nails the wandering monk aesthetic so neatly. Volcarona, Reuniclus, and Chandelure are also sublime picks. And I love how his contributions to the plot are meaningful advice rather than the more distant and professional company that Wallace and Cynthia offer.

7) Rose: Funny anxiety man, arguably cuter and more memeable than the Hoenn villains, only lower than them because of how messily the Galar finale is delivered. Immense bonus points for his part as an accessory to Bede's character.

8) Wallace: Like with Alder, a cool design can carry you a long way. Milotic as an ace is also an immense plus. I suppose Emerald also makes him useful, but if that was a major factor, Cynthia would have been a lot higher.

10) Lance: Having the second-to-last boss become a sequel final boss always has a big feeling of downgrade, but that's offset well enough by making him cool in the Red Gyarados arc and his relationship with Clair.

11) Cynthia: Infodump character for Sinnoh mythology, which is not nearly as interesting as it should have been. Gets some points for the generally great choices of Pokémon and for actually feeling powerful in gameplay.

12) Kukui: Funny professor with a lot of presence but none very memorable. Being the Champion fight, and a surprisingly challenging one, is a big shock, but nothing really amazing on further thought.

13) Archer: Pathetic underling, therefore immediately more interesting than his nothingburger boss.

14) Leon: Dude that game insistently tries to sell as cool but never actually gets to be cool. Only above Steven because he's the one who gets to make the poignant commentaries on Sword/Shield's themes and because he's genuinely good as an accessory to Hop's arc.

15) Steven: Generic champion that never gets to be interesting, but gets points for only having cool Pokémon in his team.

16) Cyrus: Gets points for being memeable but not enough to compensate for how unfun his actual character is. Being soulless by design doesn't make it meaningful when the Sinnoh games are not saying anything about emotion.

17) Ghetsis: Plot device to make N innocent. Only above Giovanni because I like some Pokémon in his team.

18) Giovanni: Just a yakuza boss without any fun projects. The Gym Leader twist was a wow thing on the first run but never amounts to anything, like with Kukui being the Champion fight. Did he ever interact with Silver? Not in anything I played, I think.

19) Diantha: Has the bare minimum story presence and doesn't even use it well.

20) Lysandre: Has one of the stupidest villain plans, made even more ridiculous by the version differences between X and Y, but his aesthetic and delivery are so bad that it manages to make it not funny.

Kanto

Drake - Drake attempts to get his Dragonite used to his son, and he succeeds wildly.

Diamondshipping - An average day in the life of Giovanni Ketchum, a husband, a father, and a mafia boss.

Koga - Ash & Janine train in their ninja skills, the problem is they use it to mess with their neighbors and their dad has to do something about it.

Valerie - ash and his mom are moving away from their home.

Morty - a young couple struggles to make some ends meet, luckily Agatha can be nice.

Wulfric - Wulfric takes his son camping at the pokemon village, and both find an unexpected surprise.

Kukui & Burnett - Ash accidentally calls Burnet “Mom” in the middle of class, and neither hears the end of it.

Skullshipping - Kukui has to talk to the parents of his new student from Ula’ula, he wasn't expecting one to be his old friend.

Melony - Ash gets sick and refuses to accept the fact, then it's a good thing Melony is a great (s)mother.

GardenoasisShipping - The Ketchum family has a Christmas (?) party, and things go south when Rose shows up.

Leon - a lesson on why impulsive adopting an orphan is not always a smart decision.

Paldea

Tulip & Dendra - Dendra decides to give her class a demonstration of how moves can be used in more than just battles, featuring her wife and son.

Larry & Katy- “take your kid to work” day doesn’t gel well when your son is rather high energy.

Miriam (& Iono) - my little bro battles me at my gym!? (not clickbait, gone wild!!)

Hisui

Cyllene - Of the many things Cyllene expected to occur in Hisui, becoming a mother to a kid who fell from the sky was not one of those things.

Mirror & Bellis - the Pokémon world’s oddest couple and their even odder child.

Alisa from Harvest Moon Island of Happiness/Sunshine Islands <- her TOTT incarnation is .. different but well. I still consider her aro <3

THIS IS A FUN ONE SINCE. I GENUINELY DON'T KNOW. Much like how arospec experiences are varied and they tend to not be similar, thats .. how I see being arospec is KJSHAJKSAK so the thing I associate with them is the difference in experiences ..

Though I do associate them with the flag colors!

Well I had planned a whole story around them.

It would be easier to list the ones that I didn't fully come up with actually 😂

Mason belongs to CrescentTrinity on Twitter/X as when I posted the first chapter (the prologue) and asked if anyone wanted to meet Orchid... She responded and it just evolved from there. I still credit them for Mason as it was theirs but we also came to the conclusion that my version was the uncannon to theirs, their Mason is the original.

Yumi, Salah, Archie, Valerie, and Karl are originally from "ROTAI" but takes place after the games ending by 2 years... The heroes adopted Archie as a helper and he learned to stand up for himself as the heroes help him recover. Yumi continued to live in Squid Coast with everyone... Including Salah... In this universe, he doesn't know why he did what he did... Just that his urge to hate Archie just became the forefront emotion at the time.

Valkyrie and Asher belong to @ask-your-local-goth-illager and Senpu belongs to their husband, both who gave me permission to use their characters in my story...

🤔 I had a small list at one time of others who wanted to show up as background characters... But I can't remember... I have a Twitter/X post so I can look at that later...

As for all MY OCS, each one has a part in the story and purpose... I've thought them out and the stories ending...

I've even had some new OCs I haven't introduced yet that have their own stories as well~ I just want to finish Orchid's journey first as a comic before I start those OCs stories...

Archie Maine

An Armorer Artificer, Archie Maine is an adventurer from the slums of Orefield City.

Archie Maine was born in Orefield City to the single mother Valerie Maine. He had 4 siblings, in which he was the eldest child; Bloom Maine (the 2nd oldest, his younger sister by 1 year), Connor Maine (3rd oldest, younger brother by 3 years) and Vinnie Maine (The youngest brother by 5 years.)

Archie’s childhood was unimaginably difficult; His mother was a horrible parent, often chasing after men and leaving her children behind, ultimately resulting in Archie playing the parental role from the age of 6. He had to learn how to scavenge for food, how to ration, how to make money to pay for rent, how to look after his siblings; the list could go on forever.

One day, when Archie was 16, he went out in search for food and a job in order to support his siblings, leaving bloom (now 15) to look after the younger siblings at home. Upon returning home, he witnessed an unimaginable, horrifying site; The lifeless bodies of his 2 younger brothers Connor and Vinnie, motionless and pale, dismembered body parts everywhere. He fell to his knees, completely void of emotion, blankly staring at his 2 younger siblings whom of which were still alive merely hours ago.

Moments later, he realised there was still hope; His sister, Bloom, wasn’t here. Instantly, he stood up and began to search the house desperately, hoping that at least she had survived. Upon entering the siblings shared bedroom, he found a letter on the bed.

“Hello Archie, If you’re reading this, that means you’ve returned home to find, lets say, a consequence of your mothers actions. You see, your mother borrowed a large loan from us, Now that she’s dead…”

Archie knew after reading that line, his mother had truly committed the most vial action possible; making her children responsible for all of the troubles and issues she had created for herself. She was responsible for his brothers death. She was responsible for looking after the kids. She should’ve been there for the children. But she wasn’t. She left them. A selfish, irresponsible coward of a mother - And what's worst, she’s gotten away with it unpunished now that she’s dead.

Archie continued to read the letter.

“…You owe us, big time. 40,000 GP. Now we are reasonable people. We’ll give you the time you need in order to make the money back, however just in case you choose to double cross us, we’ll be taking your sister with us as a form of motivation for you. We wont hurt her like we did your siblings, at least if you choose to work alongside us that is. We’ve left a location on the back of this letter; Head there and we’ll discuss how you can resolve your little ‘debt’ problem.

-The HSC (Hidden Society Cartel)”

Upon reading this, he instantly began heading straight towards the location, which was in a hidden alleyway within the north side of the slums. He eventually made it to an old warehouse called “Valerian Woodwork”, which had a large set of doors on the front chained together, and a smaller door to the side which had been left open. In between him and the warehouse were a set of large wired fencing; He climbed on over, and headed towards the building.

Upon entering, he saw his younger sister in the centre of the room, with her hands and legs tied to a chair, and her mouth covered in a thick fabric, unconscious. He instantly ran over to her, however he was stopped by a group of masked figures with large weapons such as swords and axes. Quickly, they handcuffed him and tied him onto a pipe Infront of his sister, hanging by his hands.

An old man approached him from the shadows, wearing a large black robe with a white masquerade mask shaped like a crescent moon (Who i will refer to as 'X’).

“We have an offer for you Archie” his voice spoken in a deep, sinister tone.

“We’re willing to clear your debt for you, in exchange we want you to participate in a few experiments with us, and work as one of our own. If you do this, we will let your sister go.”

Without question, He instantly nodded.

“Good, we’ll start right away then.” The old man spoke, with a mysterious sort of excitement behind the tone of his voice.

Some of the man's workers lifted him down, and tied him to a table, each arm and leg unable to move due to how tight the chains were. X walked over towards Archie, revealing a large metallic saw.

“Now i will warn you, this is going to hurt.”

X placed the saw on his right hand, and began to slice away cutting it clean off. Archie could do nothing but scream in agonizing pain, the only thing keeping him going being that he could set his sister free. After cutting his right hand, X then covered it up in bandaging. He then walked over to the left hand, repeating the process. Due to immense bloodless and stress, his vision began to blur, eventually causing him to fall unconscious.

When he awoke, he appeared to be in some sort of container made with metal and glass, with some sort of coolant being released into it through a vent. He slid open a door Infront of himself, falling outwards onto the floor. He looked at his hands, realising they had been replaced with metallic pieces which resembled warforged parts. His thoughts seemingly began to become overwhelmed with knowledge on the warforged, alongside other pieces of technology. In a confused and panicked state, he tried to stand; However something was wrong with his legs.

As he looked down towards his legs, he was filled with pure horror; His lower body from the waist down had been fully replaced with warforged parts. He was unable to move, his new unfamiliar body parts causing him to become unbalanced; it was clear he would have to relearn how to walk again.

Archie began looking around the room, for some sort of reflection in order to see himself. He needed to be sure of what he looked like. Across the room, he saw a large standing mirror, facing the opposite direction; Slowly, he began to crawl his way towards it, pulling his new body with all the strength he had.

The moment his eyes locked with the mirror, he was completely shocked, terrified of his own reflection. His entire head had been replaced with that of a warforged. The only thing that appeared untouched was his torso and arms. The longer he looked at the reflection, the more he learned about his newfound body; To begin with, he appeared much bulkier and toned than prior to his experiment, in addition to a large amount of scars across his skin. He then had a strange memory about some sort of Armor, with the thought suddenly triggering a set of Armor to expand over his body originating from his robotic parts; Strangely, it seemed familiar to him, and he was able to successfully cause the Armor to retract.

Upon further inspection of his body, he turned his back after noticing some sort of strange mark; It was a logo, specifically the HSC’s logo, a sword with sings along with vines at the top. It seemed to indicate that he was owned by the HSC, like a slave.

He tried to pull himself up against the mirror, attempting to stand. After about 10 minutes of trying, he was eventually able to do so. Now standing, he could fully see what kind of location he was in; A lab - However it seemed to be abandoned with cracked glass, a torn down door, destroyed walls, moss growing on the walls. He looked over to the exit, noticing a clipboard attached to the wall. Slowly, he began walking over to it.

Upon reaching it, he began reading.

“Subject 331 Field report (Date); Shark unit.

Subject (originally known as Archie Maine) appears to be working as intended. Human regret and remorse appear to be nullified, and is compliant with all given tasks. Subject health appears to be significantly high, maintaining a body which represents that of an 18 year old; this indicates that the age regressor implanted into the subject appears to be successful.

Subject 331 was recently sent into the slums to eradicate some non-cooperative people whom of which owed the HSC a large sum. Subject was successful in terminating the targets, showing no signs of humanity or remorse, seemingly enjoying it. The targets where the subjects last remaining family member, alongside her husband. Subject seemed to be unaware of their identity, viewing them merely as means to an end.”

Upon reading the clipboard, an immense confusion overtook him. He had killed a family member; yet none of his family members were married, in fact his only remaining family member was his sister. That's when he noticed the date - it read 3 years later than the year his siblings were killed and his sister taken. Horror and fear took over him; He had killed his sister, the very thing he swore to protect by giving himself up for X’s experiments. He began to read more.

“Subject 331 was, however, unsuccessful in terminating a 9 month old male infant. Upon noticing the child, the humanity suppressor began to corrupt. For the time being, we have put Subject 331 into containment within Cryo-freeze until further notice. Regarding the infant, HSC Commander Six has requested the infant to be taken to the HSC headquarters, most likely to be experimented on.”

Archie realised that he had been in cryo-freeze for a long time, he could assume that he had been in it for several years, due to the overgrown, destroyed nature of his surroundings. By now, his nephew could be a young toddler, teenager or even and adult; But knowing that there was still family out there was good enough for him.

After getting himself together, Archie made a promise to himself; He would find his Nephew and save him from the HSC; and with this promise, he set out to find him.

So here's an ask: rate, on a scale from 1 to 10, the canon Riverdale ships, either just the main/current ones (bughead, varchie, choni, kangs, falice) or the main ones *and* the passing ones (add in veggie, archosie, josiepea, Archie/Valerie, moovin, joavin, gladsythe, etc)

OKAY LET’S DO THIS.

Bughead: 100/10. The best developed relationship in Riverdale (romantic and otherwise). Soft investigative cuties who believe the ends justify the means. OTP quality content. How Bughead came from the same team who brought us the Gargoyle King, I will never understand.

Varchie: 5/10. They are... okay. For most of Riverdale’s four seasons, I have quietly accepted Varchie’s existence and occasionally enjoyed them (weirdly I think I like Varchie best when are “just friends” with suppressed feelings for each other than when they are actually together?) I think Veronica Lodge is an amazing girlfriend. I find Archie’s actions in 4x17 and 4x18 inexplicable. I don’t know how to understand or interpret them at all if we are to accept that he does in fact love Veronica. I fully expect Varchie to be endgame, but I would not be sad if Veronica ended up with someone else.

Choni: -5/10. I think of all the ships on Riverdale, Choni is my least favourite? I liked parts of their relationship in season 2, but their breakup in season 3 was cringe, and Cheryl’s gaslighting of Toni in season 4 was just... horrendous and awful. Toni, please run away. Please find someone else.

Kangs: 5/10. I don’t really have strong feelings either way - like all of Kevin’s relationships, this ship has barely been developed and only gets screentime sporadically. They seem cute I guess. A stable boyfriend for Kevin would be nice. They can bond over how they both gave up their organs to the Farm.

Falice: 1/10. I am generally not here for Falice. I don’t understand this relationship at all. I accept that they were high school flames, but it seems like Alice having FP’s secret baby and then giving it for adoption and then thinking he was dead but then not and now he is back as an adult should have been a bigger deal? Like warranted a conversation? How do you get past something like that in a relationship? But fine. Also, I can’t get over these two awful parents hooking up with each other when their kids are in love with each other and not even having a conversation about it with their kids like who does that WHO DOES THAT. + I fully agree with you @arsenicpanda that while initially Falice had spark, Gladys/FP was clearly the superior ship and why couldn’t we have that instead.

Veggie: 8/10. I love Veggie. Their season 3 chemistry was so great. I loved their partners-in-crime vibe. I agree with @imreallyloveleee that it would be nice to see Veronica with someone who is her intellectual equal (and Reggie is not lol) but he did seem to share her instincts for business. And he just seemed to THRIVE when Veronica gave him breadcrumbs of trust in helping her with the Bonne Nuit. Catching the Serpent (Archie Andrews x Reader)

Sorry it took so long hope you enjoy it!

Even though you are from the Northside, you somehow ended up becoming a Serpent. It had its perks since everyone mostly left you alone in Riverdale High. Mommy and daddy forced you to attend. They knew all about you being serpent but didn't really care since they too are shady AF. As long as you caused no trouble or kept it low key everything was fine. And half the time they are away due to 'business'. Being alone meant you had the freedom to ride your bike and do whatever you wanted.

It was finally Friday your favorite day of the week. You couldn't wait any longer to finally leave this place for 2 whole days. The only thing that helped you through the day was Flame Boy. Better known as Archie Andrews. Everyone, including yourself, knew that he had a huge crush on you. You found it amusing and cute at the same time. One wouldn't think he'd like a girl like you. You thought he would end up with Betty. Unlike her you had a few tattoos, always wore your leather jacket, never made it to class in time and half the time you decided to show up to school you'd spend your time sleeping and let's be honest you didn't think to be the prettiest person in the world. But Archie thought otherwise. To him you are the most beautiful person in the world.

Everyday Archie would make an effort to make you smile or laugh. He's asked you out multiply times but you'd declined every time. Not because you are not interested but because of fear. Fear that something could happen to him due to you being a Serpent. Archie thinks you are trying to play hard to get but instead of it stopping him it fuels him even more.

There was only about 20 minutes of lunch left and you were bored as hell. Since you had no actual friends besides maybe Archie, you were sitting by yourself having nothing to do. Well you did have something to do but you wouldn't be caught dead reading in public. You had a reputation to uphold.

Slowly you stick in your earbuds in and hit shuffle on your iPod. A power nap was what you decided was needed. When you were about to fall into a deep sleep, you felt someone sat next to you. That someone decided it was a good idea to take out one of your earbuds. Without thinking, you quickly lifted your head and fist ready to attack whoever it was.

“Whoa. It's just me.” A very scared Archie said.

“Sorry. Next time don't do that.” You said. You noticed that he was smiling extra bright today. And as always everyone was staring at the both of you. You'd think that after seeing each other a lot of times people would stop staring but that would never happen.

“So I was thinking...” Archie started saying.

“Go on.” You said smiling up to him. It couldn't be helped since he looked so cute when he blushed.

“Would you like to skip the rest of the school day and go get some food at Pop's” Archie said taking a hold of your hand.

“Oh look at you being such a rebel. I think you'd been around me was too much.” You said not removing your hand away from his.

“So what do you say?” He asked looking at you hopefully.

“As much as I love the sound of that, I have a test next period. I may be a bad ass but i also don't want to repeat the year.” You said removing your hand away from his and standing up.

“Bye, Flame Boy.” You said taking your bag and walking away.

“One day (Y/N), one day you will say yes to going out with me.” Archie yelled out before the door of the cafeteria closed.

“Someday Flame Boy.” You said to yourself before going to class. For once, you actual said the truth. You did have a test to take but where you really going to take it? Probably not.
